[Q] Flash Zara_UL to VM Zara_CL device to gain disable simlock, is this possible? - HTC Desire 601

So far I haven't found any threads/forums where someone has done this. I already purchased an unlock code, but when I put in my non Virgin Mobile sim, instead of asking for an unlock code I see a notification saying that "Simlock Enabled". I'm about to attempt flashing zara_ul442 to my zara_cl442 device........any warnings?

[Q] How to find unlock code after root?

Hi,
I read in SuperOneClick thread that we can extract unlock code after root but it doesn't explain how.
Phone locked to Telus.
Please and thanks!
I don't think so, that it is possible, because this code (operator lock) is independent on system itself. It is most probably stored in GSM module of phone device and its unreachable by standard way.
I'm not sure with this, but code, which you mentioned is probably some kind of code for unlock device for firmware update/upload for some devices.

is my phone unlocked ?

Hi,
I have HTC Touch Pro US Cellular CDMA phone. In boot loader it displays "Security Unlocked". does this mean I can use with different CDMA carrier ?
http://www.techhackz.com/2009/06/unlock-your-htc-touch-pro.html
Above article mentions "Security Unlocked" in same sense.
When I try ##775 to update PRL it asks for "enter unlock code". does it mean that US Cellular has locked it ? If its locked then what should I enter here ? SPC, MSL what ? If its unlocked then what should I enter here ?
do I have use special software to unlock cdma phone or from ebay vendors I can buy SPC and that all I need as unlock code ? is SPC same as MSL ?
What does "handset locked" mean ? When I manually configure phone using dial codes for different CDMA carrier will I loose features like SMS, Internet ? what is minimum information needed to feed in ? is it carrier decided or standard ?
What is meant by unlocked and how do I verify it on my phone.
Regards,

[Q] SIM Unlock on Custom ROM

I got a SIM unlock code from Tmobile, however it is not working with CM10, so I went back to the RUU and tried and it still didnt work. Any ideas of what I need to do?
contact the person you got the unlock code from to re-enter the code.. or you can always s-off your device and use the unlock sim for s-off method which would disable the sim lock on your phone

What changes on phone when SIM unlocked ?

Hi Forum. May be my first post. I just SIM unlocked LG V10 on T-Mobile. Here is what I can say about the process that might be helpful to others:
1-Phones can be SIM locked by manufacturers so that service providers ensure that phones can only be used on their network or certain countries. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIM_lock for more information.
2-The process of unlocking requires the service provider to request unlock codes from the manufacturer. The service provider may have requirements to unlock ( e.g. in my case I had to put $100 balance on T-Mobile prepaid card ). This process took 5 working days at which time T-Mobile emailed me to inform me that they were ready for me to initiate unlock on my device.
3-On my device, I ran a "Device Unlock" app which connected with somebody ( T-Mobile ? ) and verified my phone was actually unlock eligible and viola. I'm SIM unlocked.
What I would like to know is what has changed on my phone ( e.g. firmware, some information on some partition ) ? Does this mean I can now root, change ROMs and my phone will remain SIM unlocked ? Any links to information about what actually happens when device unlocked would be appreciated.

What I can tell you is that, if you did unlock permanent it is going to be unlocked even after rooting and installing new roms etc.
Now, I want to ask in this forum if the phone can be unlocked if the t-mobile unlock app says it is not eligible to unlock. I bought my phone on eBay, called t-mobile the phone is clean, but they could not unlock it for me because needs an account... So now I'm stuck trying to find a 3rd party unlock website to do it, 2 already said they could not... So I have the phone but can't use it. Any suggestions?
Yes, I can confirm that on this LG V10 having performed a SIM unlock and then having switched ROMs the unlock remained in effect.

unlocking h901 t mobile?

yeah, it uses the device unlock app.no it says i'm not eligible for unlock.the seller who sold it to me even requested tmo and was denied.tried rooting and messing with system files now it says can't connect to remote server even after reflashing stock using LGUP.Tried using the f600l rom port, no you can't get the sim unlock prompt to pop up.tried blisspop and resurrection roms, they do prompt for a sim code but the codes do not work it says 255 retries remaining<<<something not right there.I do have the right unlock codes, just get them from an unlocking site or ebay.Speaking of unlocking sites, they want 60usd+ to unlock the tmo variant WTF!! Also if you try to get into the sim unlock menu using stock rom (dial 2945#*901#) it just says device permanently locked for everything. Now if there was a way to get a stock rom or port from say at&t variant which has the sim unlock prompt it just might work.
The closest i've got to unlocking this thing i the actual network unlock screen that comes after you flash the stock firmwire through LGUP. it said 0/30 attempts or something for a brief second or two the first boot after reflashing and then it restarts before you can even do anything into os never to be seen again unless you reflash it again but again you will only see it for a second and its gone again.I wonder if there is a way to keep that screen on so you can attempt to unlock it via code.
Also I'm pretty sure the device unlock app is just there to check prerequisites of your t mo account. In reality it does unlock the same way as other phones.probably just applies unlock code from tmo database once it checks you've met the criteria for unlock.
t-mo has really locked these down .
So has anyone been able to successfully unlock this phone without the tmo app? or have a cheaper service to unlock this thing ? Else im stuck with a paperweight.
