Dear Team ,,
I am desperately looking for helo because i think i bricked my New EVO 3DHTC_Europe_1.20.401.8_Radio_10.59.9020.00_10.15.9020.06 Which is rooted and S-off via revolutionary method succefully .. I tried installing a newer radio though PCMG.zip method n it made me suffer a lot that i cannot access or even flash recovery... while during update process of radio i receive this error
"Partition Update Fail"
I m just stuck in bootloader cant even unlock through HTC method to install Original RUU....
PLease someone give me some clue...
My Current Hboot version is 1.49.1107 , S-OFF Revolutionary..
Do you have the ADB, fast boot and HTC drivers installed? You need it for the following:
Plug in your phone to your computer. Open CMD, and browse to your adb installation. E.g cd C:/Program Files/Android/android-sdk/platform-tools/
Then type adb getvar cid.
Remember that number. Find the appropriate radio for your CID number and flash that.

as per the instructions... i figured out my cid num which is cidnum: HTC__001...but i wonder that i was flashing the right radio version for my mobile ..... I will really appreciate if u explain it a little more,....

You said you are stuck in bootloader and cant unlock with HTC method to use a RUU.............
Thats good for you , as far as you dont need to be unlocked to use a RUU.exe.
If you unlock your phone via htcdev.com you cannot use RUU.
My concern is not to install ruu but only to get my evo back to work... which i can not figure out how to.....and friend It was meant to be reclocked....I cant understand why i cant access my recovery..neither i m able to flash it,,, If some one please help please since my phone starts and goes in boot loader automatically n there if i try flash any thing throuigh fastboot it gives me an error in retrun ///

Thats what i wanted to tell run a RUU.exe made for your phone, it should get it to work according to me. But I m not 100% sure.
flashing radio
hello flashing radio's can be very tricky the file may have been corupt or youmay have flashed the wrong ruu and also where did you download this file i hope you flashed a PG86IMG.zip if you did go back to the thread that you downloaded from and make sure you that ruu is for your device and if it isnt that thread you downloaded from should have other ruu's that are for your device and make sure you read everything on that thread before downloading and flashing

in addition to above "FAILED (remote: image update error)" is the message when do fastboot command to write/flash any thing over the phone....
plz plz plz help me...n i think i cant run ruu since i m s off......please some solution.,....
flashing radio's
ok i see where you made your mistake dont use exe file's. you should be using PG86IMG.zip and all you had to do is copy it to the root folder of your sd card and power off and battery pull and put battery back in volume down and press power boots into bootloader and it will find the zip file and it prompt start update you press volume up for yes and set back and let it flash you new radio and when it is done delete it from the root folder of your sd card and enjoy

What you have is called a soft brick. The radio you flashed was not compatible with your phone. First remove your SD from your phone. Then put it in your pc/laptop via card reader and remove whatever zip you were trying to flash. Then you have to find the correct ruu that has a compatible radio and run it from your pc.

i have tried already the original ruu or my phone which is RUU_Shooter_U_HTC_Europe_1.20.401.8_Radio_10.59.9020.00_10.15.9020.06_M_release_219793_signed... but didnt work because i m s off n unlocked pershaps and to run ruu i need to be relocked first.....browing different forum i have come accrossed this thread

so i tryed to flash a rom and then my phone got stuck on the withe htc screen then when it booted back to recovery it tells me i cant access the internal sd card and i have to format it and when i try to flas a rom i get

Reload via a stock ruu.
Get the ruu from the stock ota/ruu thread
Rename PH85IMG, place on your sd card
reboot into hboot and let it reload

sorry im such a noob... do i have to lock my bootloader before i do this
edit: i tryed both bootloader unlocked and locked and it worked with it locked got it to boot up now is working thanks man
last day i was trying to change my splash screen using terminal emulator i then restart the phone to check it out and i stuck at the beginning of bootanimation then phone restart and allover again and again stuck and reboot..
i already deleted my nandroid backup to free up some space*ediot*.. i tried to clear cashes i even reflash the rom the same problem persist ..
today i even flash a new splash screen from bootloader it does install and appeared upon boot up but still i stuck at begining of boot and phone restarts..
what can i do ?
am soff hboot 1.49
try reflashing the phone with the stock ruu
would this work if am on unlocked bootloader ? or should i relock it ..
am downloading the european RUU now but extremely slow if u got any link for any eauropean or universal ruu would appretiate it !

if your soff you shouldnt need to relock the bootloader. and sorry i dont but you can try searching goo.im for your ruu

Hi i tried to flash a rom on it and prior to the flashing i was just trying to root it i used the htc amaze all in one tool and unlocked the bootloader but then somehow i deleted everything off the phone from the recovery and since then it went into bootloop and was stuck on the logo i downloaded RUU FOR WIND MOBILE and it did not work it says image is unable to write...
then i downloaded a few ROMS and went into recovery to mount it and put the rom on the phone and went into recovery after and instaled and flashed the rom the ROM flashed fully but the phone has been in ANIMATION BOOTLOOP SINCE..

you're S off so i guess you was on stock GB rom and you cant flash ics roms like that the firmware doesnt match so all you have to do now is flash 4ext (i dunno bout twrp recovery it worked for me in 4ext) and download GB Rom and place it on your ext sd card go to 4ext wipe format section and select '"Format all partitions except SDcard'' then flash it from 4ext also enable smart flash on before flashing, you can find that option in tools section in the very bottom it should be okay then

thank u for quick response i was on ICS before not GB but i can certainly try this but it was orginaly on GB when i got it but was ICS when this issue happened..

you already had the ics firmware before you flashed dark glass rom? or you flashed dark glass rom when you was on GB??
i had ics firmware it did an ota update to ics a few months back..IT was with WIND MOBILE which is GLOBAL LIVE STOCK ROM
But i somehow deleted like all files while doing like factory reset and clear cache and stuff..so then i rebooted and it was stuck on htc logo then i installed a rom and now its stuck on animation
same issue noone helps

well then flash the wind ics ruu then go to recovery do a full wipe then flash any ics rom you like

well since your from wind i guess it doesnt matter even tho your unlock just rename it PH85IMG.zip and place it on ext sd card and run it from bootloader if it doesn recognize it relock it and try

so i tried using the Hanson tool and flashed the RUU it loads to the screen where the htc sign is grey then on the command promt it says this (bootloader) signature checking...
FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
finished. total time: 75.297s

Well I assume you still have 4ext if not flash it then format everything except sd card after that t mobile latest ota by sportsstar89 download it place it in your sd card then flash it through 4ext enable smart flash any problem hit me up from gmail

I am currently on S-off. HTC amaze T-mobile .I was on energy rom so far. I just attepted to change to the dark one rom. I am using 4EXT recovery. Every time I try to flash I get stuck in bootloop. please advice. I have Full Wipe: data, cache, and dalvik .

Hi guys,
I have a similar problem regarding rebooting.
I did: Unlock Bootloader, Recovery, Root and S-OFF... so far so good.
After installing a ROM (I tried Cyanogen and MIUI), my device restarts after I touch a screen. It's good I've made a backup, but how do I solve the issue?

i have done the wipe all partitions except sd card as wel...no luck...remains on the boot image for hours!

Try a ruu and go from there it mite help take a back up of your Internet sd before doing it you'll lost all the data

new update:I didnt use any ruu....after 4 hours the phone proceeded from the boot screen and is now stuck in android is upgrading screen..any suggestions?

Since your s off you can use any ruu but I recommend t mobile ruu and name it PH85IMG.zip and run it from bootloader

one of them stuck at HTC white screen suddenly when i was talk to some one it restart with that problem

Hboot 193.222 can only be installed on s-off devices. It's the hacked engineering version.

noting : i can not install ph85img.zip when my phone is unlocked

Lock the phone and try the install. Following instructions where to place it.

You've been around for awhile, so you should know these things. Now you are what, s-off or s-on? It's normal to only be able to flash the image with your phone relocked. Was it a T-Mobile US or another version? Did it have JB or ICS? If it didn't already have ICS and it's an Asian or unbranded phone you need s-off and to get s-off you need to be on the stock RUU. If it's s-on and not a T-Mobile US phone and you installed the T-Mobile RUU, the radio and kernel probably didn't flash or you have a CID mismatch which is keeping it from booting.
Remember the steps to take for Asian or unbranded Amazes, is to first get s-of then SuperCID then flash the T-Mobile RUU. If it wasn't already on ICS you're going to have to go back to GB and start over, so you can get s-off.

ICS updated from internet on air from jb to ics even it is s-on location egypt with out any effort and it worked a bout 3 months
hboot now be 1.93.003 cause i install the (OTA_RUBY_ICS_35_S_TMOUS_2.14.531.3-1.43.531.3_release_259660) framework now
simply i do the update from software update in phone setting

So it is a T-Mobile US Amaze and you previously had received and installed the OTA which got you to hboot 1.93.003. It worked fine this way for three months until you had the problems. Am I correct?

That's not good. If it had been working well and then all of a sudden from out of nowhere it started behaving badly during a call, and you weren't in the process of doing anything else to it, then that leads me to believe that it's a hardware problem.

Bootloader comes before HTC white screen. Put PH85IMG.zip on root of sd card. Reboot to bootloader. If your bootloader screen says "Fastboot AC" put the selector on "Bootloader" and press the power button--it will search for, find, flash PH85IMG.zip.
It will tell you when done, at which point you can reboot into recovery and follow raivke14's instructions.
