[Q] Quick question - Huawei Ascend Mate 2

It is my understanding that the Ascend Mate 2 does not have an app drawer, will installing nova launcher add the app drawer. I am sorry if this has been asked before i have been searching for an answer and cannot find anything.

[Q] Organize App drawer

Hi all!
So i got an HTC Desire X. And there are a lot of apps in my app drawer. Do you know any method that I can organize the app drawer by rearranging the apps (I can order them by most recent and alphabetical only) or creating folders?
Thanks for your help

There are several stock ICS/JB based Launchers available like Nova, Apex etc. which has the ability to customize the App Drawer.

Your phone is already using a launcher, when you go 'home' on the device is simply runs an app (this is the launcher) on HTC devices this is the sense launcher but you can easily install another from the play store and when you press home it will ask which you would like to use.
root is NOT required

disable touchwiz ?

Hello,
It's possible to disable touchwiz and use only themer ?
Thanks
Not entirely. Not as far as the app drawer and lock screen. But Themer is your launcher otherwise.

I personally love Nova Launcher on the HAM2. Here's a shot of my home screen with the following customization:
- Nova Launcher - Be sure to enable the "L" developer preview in for App animation under Look and Feel
- Moonshine Icon pack FREE on Google Play
- "L" inspired HD wallpaper
- Hello SMS
- SwiftKey keyboard
No screenshot, but I'm a Nova Launcher fan.

It looks so "girlish" to me.
Nova Launcher fan as well!
Custom UCCW skins, the Nova Quick search bar (L style) and the new Play Music widget.
I can't post screenshots yet BUT....
I use Mini Launcher. It's like stock android but with more customization. I also have this really cool wallpaper that responds to the touch; it mimics water. I'll come back and actually post some screenshots when I can.
UPDATE: I installed Nova Launcher seeing as how popular it is. It actually runs much better than the Mini Launcher I was using. It's much more responsive and it gets rid of the stupid gray boxes around the stock apps. I think I know what I'll be using now.....

If you're up to it, get Prime! Adds a few more features and on top of that, Nova is already a solid launcher.

I looked at Prime already but I don't think I would really use the features that are included. I'll keep it in mind though. I might find them useful later.

Bothers me like hell . haha
I downloaded a theme that got rid of the rectangles but is hit or miss..
What I hate is the gray background on the home but on back area...

I think we need root to change it. It would require a change to the build prop.

So. Here are all the themes u could put to change the icons and wallpaper and lock screen on huawei devices :
http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=themezone
Don't matter if it's wrong device it still works. Download one and put it in HW theme folder in SD card, and it shows on the stock theme app. I used the balanced magazine theme to get rid of all the gray box thingies when using the google now launcher.
I'm using Holo Launcher HD.

What Launcher do you Use?

Wondering what Launcher is most used with the Note 4.
I've always used Nova primarily cause I like the icon gestures options and increased grid options . But new to the Note 4 and just wondering with the Spen and all most would stick with Touch Wiz.
I'm on Nova since this got the smart gestures and works simple the best for me not to much just enough of everything.
I installed nova as I'm used to it also. I don't think it takes away from any of the spen functionality switching to nova though. I may be wrong.

The only thing I've noticed we can't do with Nova is ... 'pin' Action memos to our screen. On TW launcher the memos have a pin icon top right which dissapears on 3rd party launcher.
I am using smart launcher for efficiency

But you can put said pinned notes on the homescreen via SNotes correct?
I'm using next launcher 3d here, the 3d settings look awesome xD

Via the widget, yes. That is a different method than pinning individual action memos
And GEL is Google Experience Launcher
Sorry xposed XGel is a tweak to customize the launcher.
I use Action Launcher. It has unique functionality, like the ability to swipe up on a icon and assign any widget to it. It's fast too

Nova launcher because i can pull down the notification with a swipe from the homescreen without reaching the status bar.

Please add the Nokia Z Launcher to the poll.
I've tried a few since getting my note 4, smart launcher is nice, then Nokia z launcher (which I loved) but the best for me so far is launcher 8 for Android it looks so cool on the note 4 screen

Mate 10 on alternative launchers

Hi, I am really, really interested in this phone. However, I am somewhat put off by the non standard software. Has anyone changed the launcher to a more standard one? Is operation compromised on anyway if you use Google Now launcher for example?
That was the first thing I did. But I use Nova or Erie. Works great!
For reviewing purposes i always use the standard software/launcher the first week. I'm still not a fan, altho it's getting better every phone they make.
Using Nova for a few days now and works flawlessly.
But any launcher that is android 8.0 oreo compatible, will work (so almost all launcher)
I used Apex launcher and it is great with lots of very nice features

Yes I have the same problem with Nova Launcher. I get a "Permission Denied" message when I try to open the Torch app and also get a "App not installed" when I try to add the Screen Lock widget to the homescreen.
I'm on BLA-L29 8.0.0.119 (C636)
I use TSF Shell 3d.... It is really good with tons of unique features...
I love Evie, very light, very responsive and enough features.
I'm using nova too and yes it's a bit buggy at the moment. I've the issue with the torch app, but it seems that it works ok from the notification center.
About other stuff:
I hate the fact that there is no animation when you push on the Google search bar. I had to remove it from the home because any time i clicked on it i felt like i was going to puke. Furthermore, if you want to enable the google feed page, you have to download the google companion apk from the web.
All in all it works, but I'm a bit worried that the switch from the standard launcher can block out some of the huawei AI features.
huawei's launcher is not bad at all. It is really smooth, and of course being it tailored on the device in the first place, it's totally bug free and it's the one that best matches the rest of the system. The problem is that it doesn't allow you to customize much stuff. For example applying play store icon packs it's a total mess, and the default icons are totally, completely, absolutely ****. You can just try to sort out something from the huawei theme app, but at the moment the themes sold there are not even worth a download. I switched to android because i wanted to try the "customize" experience and if I'm not having it, i get nervous.

This is my Launcher, Evie, with Amphetamine icons pack. The only things that don't change are the Set tin and notification drop down.
