This V4.2 44S OTA update package will update the v3.8_38R to the latest maintenance CM11S update
preloaded applications were moved to a new package, so i can maintain it separately
Note :
You can flash on top of stock CM11S roms, If you are coming from AOSP roms please perform a full wipe
I created this for my personal use, i will be adding more Tweaks and mods. I'm using this on my Personal device and It is very stable. My aim is to keep the default look and feel close to stock CM11S as much as possible while improving the experience and give you the option of adding/enabling the customizations as you see fit[/B]
let me know if you have any suggestions for apps to include.
If you have a request please let me know i will add it to the ROM if possible.

How to
Enable Built in Super User - Menu entry
This is already enabled in the build via the build.prop values but if somehow the superuser entry goes missing from the Settings menu, this is how you get it back.
Developer options - Reboot not required
Edit the build.prop file
Open the build.prop file under /System folder using any root browser
Locate this entry - persist.sys.root_access=0
Change the value 0 to 3
Reboot

Becon V6 already has awesome battery life but if you want even more juice time out of your OPO you need to install Vomer tweaks (Included with the Addon pack)

Note:

This is NOT included in the Add-on pack but it is a Great application to have when you are traveling
Functionality is somewhat similler to LeanDroid but this is totally free
It tends to go bonkers if you are down-clocking the device, and with some kernels..worked fine for me with beconV6, if it is giving you issues uninstall it and wait for the Dev to update it or just install LeanDroid
This will switch off your mobile data, after 10 minutes (You can set the time) of turning the screen off
Then it will automatically enable the data connection at set intervals for a amount of time you specify for the applications to sync
It will automatically enable Data when the screen is switched on
Make sure to disable the application for large file downloads and updates or increase the timeout for the data switch off in the app Settings
Configure MultiWindowSidebar
Accessing settings
launch MultiWindowSidebar from the app drawer or from the notification shade to configure the settings
Disable the MultiWindowSidebar notification quick access shortcut

Fix Yellow band issues - Yellow-buttom-box fix by Aaahh
This Mod will allow you to change the color temperature of the specific area where the yellow band is. I don't have this issues so i cannot test it myself, it seems to do the trick
Download and install the apk
1. Activate the filter in the app (button).
3. Choose a color (for example blue).
2. Set transparency to a low value like 50% first, so you can see the size and position of the filter.
3. Use the area and height sliders to position the filter where you need it for the yellow band.
4. Increase the transparency to 98 or 99%.
5. Exit the app using the back button.
6. Rotation is not yet supported in this version, we have to wait until @Aaahh adds this in a new release.
Use a screen tester app like Screen Test to check the results.

Adjust CM11S advance auto brightness values
CM11S has integrated LUX like brightness control so you can adjust the screen brightness levels according to the light readings off the ambient light sensor
Slide down the quick settings panel > Tap on brightness tile> Set it to Auto > Tap on the wheel to the far left to access settings> tap on Adjust

by mistake I had uploaded the zip with stock kernel im re-uploading the files

Just flashed it with no wipes over stock 33r pre-rooted and it works perfectly
The lockscreen looks incredible, very classy and the optimizations are appreciated.
I have some questions : All of this can be called "ota safe" ?
Fk has only two cpu governors, interactive and performance ?
(no problems for other kernels in that case, i'll see)
EDIT : Battery-life seems very good !

Franco's Interactive is optimized to death. I never had any issues with it and i get great battery life on my OPO.

I came from the 33r pre-rooted modified updater file by calkulin but i guess i have these 2 solutions because by updating with this it "reset" the script..
Can't wait for vomer tweaks etc, battery life is the most important thing to me.

Im testing zephiK's port of vomer tweaks with a bit of tweaking...works like a charm so far no issues
I will Add the OTA update when it becomes available asap with all the mods(Keyguard,keyboard,etc) included

HOW TO INSTALL:
HAVE AT LEAST 50% BATTERY BEFORE STARTING!
1.
Make sure you are running the latest SE stock kernel and baseband .71.
2.
Boot into xRecovery (or CWM if your running a unlocked bootmenu kernel)
and make a NANDROID BACKUP (this is really IMPORTANT, as we can't recover your data!)
ALL YOUR DATA AND APPS WILL BE DELETED AFTER THIS POINT
3.
If not in xRecovery boot into it
4.
Do a Factory Reset (Full Wipe)!
5.
Flash the "TEAM_ROM_v3.8.zip" via xRecovery.
5.
Flash the "TEAM_ROM_v3.8-v4.0.zip" via xRecovery.
6.
Reboot and let the phone do it's thing as it will be rebuilding caches and settling.
First boot can take UP TO 5 minutes so be patient!
7.
After first boot, do your normal thing with setting up your accounts.
8.
Choose a Home Launcher!
***Optional if you choose ADW***
9.
Once you are on you Home Screen, Press the Menu Button
10.
Select More>ADWSettings>Themes Preferences>Select your Theme>Pick "Sony Launchifier"

Hit "Apply Theme!"

Q: Where are all the addons?
A: In AppMan check your app drawer for the Superman-droid icon. That's AppMan!
Q: Can I install xLOUD?
A: Yes! But it is proven to damage the speaker, so we have also included DSP manager so you can increase the volume. ALWAYS BE CAREFUL when stressing your hardware's limits! We are not to be held responsible for any damages to the fragile speaker on your phone.
Q: Can I use this or that kernel for unlock or locked bootloader?
ALL kernels built for stock ROMs WILL WORK on this rom. We have tested all of them and we recommend ThKernel 029e, which you can find as an addon in AppMan.
WARNING: If you are using a Bypass Kernel it will be removed when the ROM is installed and you will just need to reflash it after flashing the ROM.
If you are using a Replacement Kernel(Unlocked Bootloader) then there will be no effect.
Q: Can I use this or that theme?
A: Short answer, no. Unless of course it is built of our framework. We have made MASSIVE mods to the framework so most themes will disable most, if not all, options in the Tweaks app.

A: NO. We can't help you. Because what you just said means nothing to us.

First boot might take a bit longer than usual, because the cache and dalvik cache will be wiped during flashing.
Also, for the first few minutes after boot, phone might be a little laggy, as caches are being rebuilt.
It should catch up very quickly though!
Undervolt is [I]not [/I]included, for the sake of compatibility with all devices.
Each device has unique tolerance in overclock/undervolt, so you have to experiment yourself.
For overclock, use SetCPU or No-frills CPU or CPU Master, etc.

First of all, THANKS to everybody for their support in this attempt!
25/8/2011: I am updating this post with the results I got from testing all the custom kernels available, up to today.
It was an amazing ride and our developers have really produced great enhancements for our phones!
Also, let me note one more time, T.E.A.M ROM is stock ROM, so this review applies to any stock and stock based ROM (as long as there are no tweaks conflicting with the boot.img).
First of all, the apps I used to measure the kernels' features performance
are: CPUSpy and NoFrills CPU Control (was a fan of SetcPU, but Nofrills is simpler and somehow I got over my Profiles obsession ).
1. [KERNEL] zKernel | 2.6.29 | for 2.3.3 stock ROM | 19/08/2011
This is an "old-time classic"! U MAD???
Features:
- latest SE sources
- FPS cap removed
- overclocked
- added extra frequencies
- in-call volume increased
- TUN/TAP support (VPN)
- CIFS support
- debugging disabled for improved performance
- enabled ThumbEE CPU extension

Performance and speed with the >998 frequencies are great,
but in my case the phone got too hot above 998 MHz.
In-call volume is increased and there's no distortion, which is very very nice!
There's no undervolt, so nothing to report there.
Overall, it's very stable, faced no problems while using it,
but wanted to try undervolt, so moved on to other kernels.
Of course, I know my device actually can handle undervolt, so if you
had bad experiences with undervolting before, this is definitely the kernel for you.
2. 2.3 Th_kernel_023.2
The latest kernel from 24/8 seems to pack some neat features,
but unfortunately got stuck at boot logo when I installed it,
so no review here. I am sure ThJap will sort it out soon enough!
3. [KERNEL][X10] DooMKernel - "Power to The People" [Rel:v03d][Dt:26/08][FW3.0.1.G.0.75]
This is my personal favorite. The latest version, 03d, runs very very stable
on my phone.
The VDD controls are a great way to discover and use the best undervolting settings for your device!
I made a startup script and set the voltages to:
128000 Hz - 875 V
192000 Hz - 900 V
245760 Hz - 925 V
384000 Hz - 950 V
460800 Hz - 975 V
576000 Hz - 1000 V
652800 Hz - 1050 V
768000 Hz - 1100 V
844800 Hz - 1150 V
921600 Hz - 1200 V
998400 Hz - 1250 V
I use minmax governor and you can see what I personally feel about other governors here.
With the latest update, ondemand and interactive seem to be fixed and lag has been eliminated,
but I am still testing.
All in all, what's important for you to know is that all the custom kernels work in this ROM!
You just need to flash the zip and then wipe cache and dalvik cache in xRecovery before rebooting.
As simple as that!
Don't be afraid to try, don't forget that you are as good as your last backup
and come here to report your experience with custom kernels!

About the ROM: (Must Read before you start using the ROM)
I have a lot to work on, so please be patient. I seriously don't want to upload unfinished work.
So the new concept that i have implemented in my ROM
We will have a Base ROM that will have all the Stuff in it that includes all my hacks i.e a all in one package which will be normally themed/with little bit of eye candy.
Then we will have themes that will be specifically based on my ROM so that you guys will get the best out of the ROM.
Also you as the user will have the freedom to choose what type of theme you require.

Definitions:
- DK = Dark Knight (just a name for the Edition)
- CWM = ClockworkMod Recovery (mostly used to install new ROMs)
- SGS2 / GS2 = Samsung Galaxy SII
- lagfix = makes your Galaxy S fly!
- Firmware = Base System of our Galaxy S II (provided by Samsung)
- Circle Battery Mod = shows your battery in 1% steps
- FC = Force Close (Crash of an App / Component)
- BLN = Backlight Notifications

Q:What is odex/deodex?

Odex:
Every android application comes with the extention '.apk'. Packaged with every apk is a .odex file which contains parts of the application which helps speed up the boot process and preloads it.
an odex file is an optimized version of a classes.dex file that has optimizations that are device specific. In particular, an odex file has dependencies on every "BOOTCLASSPATH" file that is loaded when it is generated. The odex file is only valid when used with these exact BOOTCLASSPATH files. dalvik enforces this by storing a checksum of each file that the odex file is dependent on, and ensuring that the checksum for each file matches when the odex file is loaded.

Deodex:
Deodexing is a way of repackaging the apk such that it is reassembled into the classes.dex file. Everything is put together in one place, and this is helpful because it eliminates any chances of a modified apk conflicting with other odexed parts.
to deodex a file using baksmali, it has to load every BOOTCLASSPATH file that the odex depends on. By default, baksmali will try to find the 5 "core" BOOTCLASSPATH files in the current directory. It can use either a jar/apk (with a classes.dex inside), or an odex file

So to sum up everything, a .dex file contains the cache used by Dalvik VM during boot and this .dex file is located inside the application. On the other hand, .odex file is an optimized version of the same .dex file but it is located outside the application.
What do I lose/gain using odex/deodexed ROM?
The upper hand deodexed rom has over odexed is integration. Every ROM maker loves deodexing the rom because of two main reasons:
Modification of apk becomes easier
ROM is open to theme modifications
So, as an end used, you would most likely want to have a deodexed version of a ROM to take full advantage of android freedom. However, note that you won't lose out on performance in an odexed ROM.
Q)Which Theme to flash or will this theme work
A: Any theme that is built for XXKH3 Deodexed is flashable with the ROM.
But the only Downfall to this is that you will end up loosing a few features like Jkay Themes app!!
Now the Themes that dev the Themes at Checkrom.com or our official themes dev's who make themes for us make there respective themes over CheckROM so when u flash there themes you don't lose any features
Q: How this ROM is different from others ?
A: This ROM is heavily modded with a custom theme, features, apps etc and also has my personal tweaks and improvements.
Q: I'm coming from a different ROM so which version should i choose wipe or non-wipe ?
A: Choose the Wipe Version.
Q: What is the difference between wipe and non-wipe version ?
A: Wipe version will delete all your apps and settings whereas non-wipe version will not delete your app or settings.

You can find the application under your Menu -> Settings
AndroidMeda Rom Tool:
- Roms tab - Shows the currently available ROMs on the file server for download. It may include stable versions as well as beta versions for testing.
- Extra tab - This currently has the Surgeons, Themes and Kernel. One would need to press Menu -> Configuration, then "Extra Update Settings -> Manage Extra Servers. Press Menu again and click on "Update Feature Extra Servers"
- Existing tab - This currently shows the files that you have downloaded.
AndroidMeda Tweaks:
- DPI Changer - Alter your DPI quickly and effectively, with minimal typing
- mDNIe Switcher - Select from a various lists of mdnie profiles (this list will be populated with custom profiles with time)
- Backup battery stats - Backup your batterystats prior to a full wipe and Restore when needed
- Personalization includes:
*Mounting Options * Gps Options * Wake Options *RTL Patch *Bootsound Options
- Fix Permissions - Advanced Users only. Should you need to Fix your Permissions, select this option. Mind you it takes time, and will reset Jkay Deluxe Settings
- Clear Market Cache easily and quickly. Use 160/240 DPI and use this option to make Market work

TouchWiz Launcher Settings:
- Backup Settings - Backs up your TouchWiz Settings, including app sorting, shortcut sorting, except for widgets.

- Resize Options - This resizes your TouchWiz Launcher widgets to the correct size. Needs my modified TouchWiz Launcher from here.
- Sort Alphabetically - Sorts TouchWiz Launcher app drawer, with the help of the modified AppZorter found in my TouchWiz Launcher mod. This needs a restart. FC's if AppZorter (my modded one or market one) isn't installed
- Restart TouchWiz Launcher - This option restart TouchWiz Launcher after sorting, or whenever needed

Root phone by flashing a kernel thats auto root (CF root, Siyah, etc...) or any other way that gives you root and cwm.
Copy downloaded ROM zip file in root dir of sd card.
Boot to recovery.
Wipe Data/cache/dalvik cache.
Flash zip from internal sd card.
The first boot would take some time as the dalvik cache is rebuilt, dont panick!!

Flashing Surgeons and themes - Quick reckoner
Surgeon = DPI change + Remove Bloatware (make changes in the update script as you think fit) + Tweaks & Apps + Theme (includes boot logo and boot anim)
To flash a new surgeon, flash base again (since base is full wipe, take backup of apps/user data through titanium, darky OTA etc...)
Flash base + surgeon/Flash base + theme: Wipe cache, dalvik cache and flash.
To flash a theme on top of a surgeon or on an exisiting theme, flash the stock Samsung theme FIRST and then go ahead with flashing the new theme.

Select AndroidMeda Rom Tool
Select Extras Tab
Press menu and click on Configuration
Select Extra Update Settings
Select Manage Extra Servers

Now click menu again and select Enable
Select Enable all Extra Servers from the menu
click back, back, back
Press menu and select Check now

Q: MD5, what is it, and what it does?
A: It ensures that the file is downloaded correctly and completly to avoid issues when installing/using it.
Q: Do I need to perform a full wipe when upgrading from old version of your ROM?
A: I always recommend to perform a full wipe, but if I didn't mention that it's mandatory, you can live without it. Perform a full if you experience any issues.
Q: After flashing the ROM my phone stucks on splash screen / bootloop?
A: Make sure you flashed the correct boot.img, and try the command 'fastboot erase cache'.
Q: What is the boot.img, and why we need to flash it?
A: The boot.img is the kernel, and have to be flashed in order to boot the ROM. S-ON devices are not allowed to install the kernel directly when installing the ROM in recovery, and that's why you have to flash it manually from fastboot mode.
Q: My computer doesn't recognize my device?
A: Download and install latest HTC Sync Manager from here.
Q: How can I remove 3-dot menu and remap recent apps button to menu?
A: Go to Settings->Display, gestures & buttons->Recent apps button.
Q: Why memory optimization option in settings doesn't work?
A: Because USB debugging is enabled. To disable it go to Settings->Developer options->Turn off USB debugging.
Q: Several HTC widgets are missing?
A: Download and flash Widget Scanner.
Q: Widgets disappears from homescreen after reboot?
A: Download and flash Home Screen Saver.
Q: My benchmark score is not as high as on different ROMs. What does it mean?
A: It means absolutely nothing. Benchmarks on Android are more or less lottery, and they are not showing the real system performance. There are many tweaks that can force benchmark apps to show higher score, but it's faked performance, that can actually slow down your phone in some circumstances. What I always emphasize is a real performance, the one you can feel under your fingers. Remember that I/O has some limit and surpassing it shows just a numbers without true ratio.

This happens because One X+ is a /data/media device..
Mike1986 has a solution and uses a wipe script to solve this problem

I think you should specify on the top of the OP that this is not for ATT. Hopefully they will split forums for the HOX+ development and add a seperate ATT forum, but until then there will be plenty of havoc over all of these dev threads that are not specific on which device they are for.

I was going to say the exact same thing. I was quite excited about this new rom release today..Just new it had to be the first one for ATT.

this install is a big change and is customized to utilize the larger note 3 device screen.
imagine if icons were as large as they would be on a normal size device. not oversized.
now think about how much extra screen you would actually be able to use.
additional packs will change overall dpi and number of icons per page for anyone that would like it larger.
(there will be standard 380,480 packages and possibly others)

Installation instructions
NEW INSTALL PROCEDURE (simplified):
wipe data / factory reset.
flash 5.8.zip
that is the only file you need.
when you flash it , you will see options for part 1 and 2.
install part 1.
reboot to system.
flash 5.8.zip
install part 2.
choose options,
fix permissions, reboot.
the new installer will walk you through the install easily and quickly.
MY INSTALL PROCEDURE:
Figured I'd write these down so that there was no confusion. These are the steps I take to ensure a proper install.
There may be other methods that work just fine, however, this works every time for me and is most compatible.
If you have any problems.. before you get angry, you may want to try this way first.
While doing this, it's safe to ignore all references to "unable to mount '/usbstorage.'" This is just recovery looking for a usb otg device.
Nothing to worry about here. Just pretend it doesn't exist. It's looking for a usb stick or hd.
1. >Copy minin3.mj4.R4x.zip to your memory card. (internal or external - I use the external card for backups and rom installs,
and have never run into an issue though my card is only 16gb. If you have any issues here try from the internal card and remove the external.
In my case external_sd/roms/minin3/minin3.mj4.R4ultimate.zip)
2. >Boot phone to recovery. (from power off - volume up+home+power)
I use TWRP recovery Version - 2.6.3.7. However, if you run into issues you may try going back to version - 2.6.3.2
3. >press "wipe"
>press "advanced wipe"
>check "Dalvik Cache" , "System" , "Data" , "cache"
(you may be able to get away with not wiping data, but once again, I highly recommend it)
>swipe to Wipe
>look for "wipe complete successful" at the top of the screen
(once agian ignore all references to "unable to mount '/usbstorage')
>press "back"
>press the little house icon in the bottom left (sort of anyway)
>press "reboot"
>press "recovery"
>swipe to reboot
>press "do not install"
(phone will then reboot back to recovery)
4. >press "install"
>navigate to your rom file
(in my case, I pressed on the grey bar that says "storage: internal storage" and selected "micro sdcard" (the external sd)
I then selected the folder "minin3" from the bottom box, then the file "minin3.mj4.R4ultimate.zip")
>swipe to confirm flash
(ignore "unable to mount /usbstorage")
>wait aprox 1-3 minutes while it does its thing.. you should then see "successful" and some buttons
>press "reboot system"
5. >Initial phone setup is optional. In my case, I just skip it all and log in after. Works both ways.
(either way, get through the setup wizard until you are on the desktop)
>boot back into recovery (either power off, or reboot and hold vol+ and home)
6. >press "install"
>navigate back to the rom file (for me once again minin3/minin3.mj4.R4ultimate.zip)
>swipe to confirm flash (give it a minute to do its thing)
>press the little home button again in the bottom left
7. >press "advanced"
>press "fix permissions"
>swipe to confirm (this should be very quick)
>press "reboot system"
8. phone should boot to dashboard
9. >now would be a good time to also open both viper4android apps and let them install the drivers
>choose whatever setting you like for viper4android and choose cortex neon for xhifi.
At this point you should be ready to go with all the major stuff ready and known bugs squashed.
11. >reboot
12. >enjoy MiniN3 v5.4
(If dirty flashing (not wiping before hand - epecially data) you still may want to boot and flash a second time, and then fix permissions in case I missed anything.. it won't hurt either way)
UPDATE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS>
FULLY INSTALL PREVIOUS VERSION (in this case 5.4)
then reboot to recovery, flash the update, and before rebooting go to advanced>fix permissions.
then reboot.

Apparently issue was taken with how we were running the thread.
In an attempt to keep us in the rules the following changes were made.
Even though all users were getting updates as I thought they were stable. We are not allowed to have anything that looks like your paying to get extra features.
Some issues were also taken with the donation wording.
Until we decide a final solution. This is what will happen for the immediate future.....
ALL CONTRIBUTORS have been moved to the "test group"
For you guys nothing really changes.
The folder your using stays the same though the label will change from contributor folder to test folder.
New additions to the test group will be at my discretion only. Anyone may contact me by PM or email and ask for a slot. I can accept or deny them at will.
From time to time I will invite users from the thread who have shown a commitment to the rom.
I will also invite those who contribute something useful to the rom. (If they have work in it they should have access at all points)
The test group will then continue the same job as the contributor group was doing previously. Really for this part it's just a name change. As things are deemed stable (by me again no one else gets a say here) they will be released to everyone.
I'm not sure how else this will effect the future of this rom on xda. Though I will be maintaining development for my own use anyway.
So for the moment. As far as you guys are concerned. No real changes.
If anyone would like details you may contact me privately.
I will only discuss this here in general terms just so there is no possible future issue.

unzip "minigalaxyinstaller.zip" Copy "minigalaxyinstaller.sh" to the internal sd card. then just run "sh /sdcard/minigalaxyinstaller.sh" in terminal.
(device will reboot when finished)
should remove up to 512 mb or so.

it may be a bit extreme. but it has all functions i need for my daily uses. and all the main stuff still works.

yes i have not messed with the theme, yet.
however wanam xposed is installed so you can change pretty much any color in the whole rom easily.

thats what i like to hear. version two coming in the next day or so. mostly done.another 80 mb removed but added some functionality back.
re added gallery mostly just so it was possible to change lockscreen wallpaper. cleaned up some bugs added some smaller stuff back. still looking like right around 550mb with some of the functions returned.i am going to keep the stock installed apps very light but want it to come out of the box with everything needed to use.anything else can just be grabbed from the market. just finishing up what to add back.and finding a place to host it and get it uploaded with my slow poke internet,
