Notification SOLUTION come inside and read

Hi everyone, I was suffering from the no led notification in my lovely SG2, till I found this great application that solved my issues for:
1- Charging notification
2-Missing calls and messages notification
3- Clock on the screen while the screen is off
The application is called NoLED it is free from the market. Play around and you will find many options.
NoLED is a bad notification option IMO. Using Screen for notification is a bad idea. Why don't you try BLN instead?
While NoLED is good, it eats a lot of battery.

There is Vibration Notifier too, that can vibrate and/or beep when you have missing calls, unread sms, etc.
I was about to test NoLed, but as many people says it uses too much battery, I decided to use Vibration Notifier. It is working fine, let's see how it goes with battery.
PS: It doesnt need modified kernel.

What is BLN? Can you please provide a link

BLN = back light notification.
it utilizes the backlight of the touch buttons to notify you!
for that, you need a BLN capable rom and kernel, just look into the rom section
and search for BLN!
NOLED is indeed a bad idea, because even if you use just a few pixels, the whole screen has to be "on", which is visible in total darkness as a barely visible grey color over the whole screen --> bad for your battery...
BLN needs rooting

BLN needs rooting for the phone which I'm not into it now. Regarding battery consumption, if you have an access for charging in the house and office i.e for about 18 hours per day then what is the problem for charging?

Screen Notification Issue

Whenever I receive new message/whatsapp/email/facebook/etc., my screen doesn't lights up to show me the notifications but it only makes the notification sound. Is there any way to turn on the screen when notification received?

It' s not an iPhone that's the reason why you have a notification light BTW it saves battery too. What a nonsense to turn the screen on each time you get a notification. Are iPhones still do that? I don't think that stock sense can do that.

Cool app and works similar to bitesms on iPhone jailbroken app. Only good thing though is the quick reply but imo the graphics on this make it look way out of date compared to the stock messenger. Only thing I don't like is when in your pocket you can accidentally hit reply and have issues if u know what I mean. Great alternative though for the few people that can't live without the screen turning on with a new text, lol. Personally I like it the way it is, does save some unneeded screen time and no possible way to case accidental responses. But if u just stare at ur device all day waiting for a text to appear, I can see the appeal, lol.
is there any other method to pop the screen?
i have been using the power button to pop the screen, is there any other alternative method?

app replacement for LED

so, i'm struggling without a notification LED. my phone is usually silent for work, on my desk. I don't notice unread notifications on the second screen unless i'm looking right at it. Is there an app that will periodically wake the screen if there are unread notifications? so far i've tried dynamic notifications/ac display, and either would be perfect if there was a way to re-notify of missed notifications!

So close.. I need an app to wake the screen because the phone is on silent.
Hi,
I think this is what you're looking for: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.led.notify
The app enables the Screen and shows a small notification dot moving about a black screen. The color of the box can be changed per app. Ypu can also switch between a colored box and the app Icon. You can also configure noLED to be only active when the phone is set to silent/vibration mode.
Don't Forget to activate NoLED in the settings of the app.
check this out! i think it's exactly what i wanted.

This is super helpful, thank you for going through this. I got it setup but still having some issues - the notch light is always on haha. going to have to tweak this some more.
Hey all,
Check out the app LED Blinker Pro, there is an option to have a blinking light on the screen. Looks exactly like previous samsung phones, and you can also have multiple lights for different notifications. Problem solved!

Did you try it and does it work?
Just to know if the API that supports it is there.
It seems the downsides of all the led apps is that once you get the notification you can't unlock the phone with the fingerprint sensor, you have to double tap the screen or something to cancel the app and then unlock the phone.
Working pretty well for me this far. I added this app on my gf's and my S10 Plus's. Besides going through the bevy options we have it setup. The light only goes around the camera when a notification comes in. Still doing some tsing so I'll update if anything.

There is an option though that you can select that if you pickup your phone, it goes right to the lock screen so you don't have to dismiss the led screen.
nice app but it's a killing battery

I noticed that, but then beside it it said it uses more power. I switched to aod instead, if only you could get rid of the clock and date and simply have notifications on it.
