I'd like to start this thread in establishing that I am not familiar with how all this works, nor do I have any idea how to fix it, which is why I'm here. I only know the system info, such as version, firmware, etc.
In attempting to add cyanogen mod on my already previously rooted Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 gt-p3113, I watched a video that directed me to install clockwork recovery and root in a single bundle using Odin, (which I successfully did). I then proceeded to install cyanogen mod while in clockwork recovery, which it then told me to factory reset wipe all data before doing so. After going to the "main page" of CWM and resetting the device like it told me, I then went back to install cyanogen mod, only to have it tell me that CWM is out of date. I tried rebooting the device, but it would take me back to CWM, which im assuming means I deleted to OS on accident.
After all that, I finally concluded I'm stuck on an old version of Clockwork Recovery with no OS installed. I can access download mode, however when I'm not in download mode the device automatically boots up to the old version of clockwork mod, and I'm stuck there.
As I have no idea how all this stuff works and did pretty much everything from a YouTube video, I'm hoping a more experienced developer can help fix the problem and somehow help me regain use of my tablet. At this point I don't care whether I can get cyanogen mod installed or not, and I would appreciate all the help I can get.

Well, I would say that may be a bigger problem ! Now what I think better for you would be trying to flash the stock ROM over to the device again I am sure you have your hands over the flashing. So head over to the sammobile/firmware section and try getting the stock ROM downloaded and flash it over your device.

Alright, after bricking my phone yesterday and spending hours finally unbricking it, I've decided that I'm just not quite ready to play around with ROMs on the Transformer Prime. At least, not until they get a little more stable.
However, I'm finding myself unable to get my Prime back to stock ICS...
What I'm currently running is a Cyanogenmod 9 nightly build from 3/4/12. Through Rom Manager I was able to install the latest CWM (5.8.2.0) BEFORE the whole bricking incident. Now I can't even get my WiFi turned on...so I suppose any further changes via Rom Manager are halted.
Anyway, I used Vipermod's tool and was able to unroot successfully. I then went into settings and attempted to perform a factory reset. However, my tablet booted up with the same, Cyanogenmod boot screen and brought me back without any changes.
So then I tried using ADB....plugging my Prime in and typing "adb reboot recovery". But I get the message "adb server is out of date. killing..." then on the next line * daemon started successfully *. My device resets...but same thing...cyanogenmod...no CWM...no changes.
I thought maybe ADB wasn't working because I had unrooted. So I re-rooted, again using Vipermod. I see superuser again now...but ADB reboot recovery is still not working.
So now I'm stuck... I seemingly can't perform a factory reset with my build of cyanogenmod, and I can't find any way of getting back to recovery (I've tried selecting recovery reboot after pushing the power button, tried selecting recovery from within Rom Manager and tried with ADB...all failed). Again, all I want to do is factory reset, and get my stock ICS back. Can anyone please help me out?
You won't get back a total stock ICS easily
You can't use Factory reset after unlocking the Prime and installing CWM
adb reboot recovery does not work
The only way to reboot to recovery is via holding down Vol_Down on boot and then pressing Vol_Up
non working wifi is because you have a wrong kernel
you can't boot to recovery because it's most likely wiped
Try installing CWM from Rom Manager again, if that does not work follow the guide in the dev section to flash another CWM version manually.
Then reboot to recovery and flash another ROM.
Make sure the ROM contains a new kernel, so your Wifi is working again.

To clarify, I don't really need stock ICS. What I need is a working ROM with Android Market (Google Play, WTF?), WiFi, a web browser...all that. I've heard that Virtuous is good, so I'll probably go that direction.
But more importantly, I need a way to install it, and the only way I know how to do that is a) using Rom Manager (which apparently doesn't work with the Prime at the moment), or b) doing it through CWM (which isn't working for me at the moment either).
As far as your suggestions go, I can't use Rom Manager to install CWM again, because my WiFi isn't working. My warning only applies to STOCK blobs (like the ones in the official asus updates from their website).
The guide you posted seems to be fine.

One last thing... If I find that Virtuous isn't the best fit for me, would you advise AGAINST installing the stock firmware posted over at Android Soul? Is this what you would consider a "stock blob" or is this something different? Here is the link:

Hi all
ok so i'm a bit nervous writing this expecting all manner of attack in that i may be posting something that's been posted before lol, i've been working on this phone from start to finish about 9 hours, over two days..... i've googled just about every combination of words to do with the title and everything in between but nothing seems to come close to what i actually need to do as nothing works
i have an LG Optimus 2x / p990, it had ICS on it but was far too slow to handle this, it needs something a bit less hardware intensive to run smoothly, so i went ahead an found cyanogenmod stable ...... 7.2 i installed sdk after an hour of finding out how it works i finally got adb and fastboot working, i then needed this, that, this, that, etc etc etc.....
to cut a 9 hour story short, i've managed to get myself to the point where i wiped the phone of everything but CWM partioned for ics via the AIO software but CWM will not let me install any ROM onto the phone. to be more precise it says i have installed CM 7.2 successfully! (i've tried this via the CWM via external SD card and sideload) i reboot the phone it's as if i've never done a thing, no trace or suggestion i've even attempted it on the internal card... nothing
i'm at the point now where i'm quite happy to just have my phone back now and install ICS 404 but can't use the LG kdz install software as the pc doesn't see the phone as an LG p990 because it's recovery and i can only get it to come up as internal and external memory cards
i'm not really a noob when it comes to tech stuff but this little phone has me stumped.... please, i'm begging you, help me any operating system that can get my phone working will do, preferably the CM 7.2 if not back to ICS 404?
and i know, i know i should have backed up but i had no idea it could be so complicated just to put an OS on a tiny computer

It's quite simple
Try to reset and unroot/re-lock the phone then unlock and root, then what you need to do is get ROM Manager and get the Clockwork Recovery and the version that supports your device, although you might need to hook up your phone to your computer for the process to work.
Also put back in ICS 4.0.4 when unrooted and re-locked again like stock and make sure it's the stock file for your phone.
And after you got ROM Manger and the Clockwork Recovery
Then just in Clockwork wipe out all data on the device and don't do a factory reset in Android just with clockwork and delete everything that was made on that phone then install CyanogenMod.
After that it will seem to take a long time or just a while to boot up and then it boots faster then the original ROM.
If you have Clockwork Recovery just wipe out all the data while it's still in there and you should be set.
When it was my first time putting in CyanogenMod it was 10.1 RC1 on my Nexus 7 and it didn't work and forever bootlooped, and that was because i forgot to wipe the device. Then after going into Recovery with Clockwork I deleted all the data of my tablet and it worked but took 5 mins. to boot up which is nomal.
And if Clockwork doesn't work, do the same with TWRP (Team Win Recovery Project) and download that which can be found here teamw.in/project/twrp
If you don't want to get ROM Manager or that one isn't working then try this website to get Clockwork because it has the whole list of devices and I recommend downloading from the website instead of their app. clockworkmod.com/rommanager
cheers for that, i've tried all of the above still to no avail, having a think about it the phone is partioned for ics, i'm trying to install CM 7.2 which as i understand isn't ICS so.... maybe the error is that it's a different partioning sequence/setup i'm gonna go for CM 10.1 and see if that makes a difference.

TWRP has a completely touch driven interface that is 100% themeable, while CWM has a touch version and non-touch version. Also TWRP has a built in file manger and terminal emulator where as CWM does not. A lot of people like TWRP because it provides a lot of good features with a simple and straightforward yet powerful user interface. ok i managed to do it i can't remember exactly how but some good links and info for anyone who stumbles across this in need of help
i went for cyanogenmod 10.1 to make this work i used this AIO tool - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020737
repartioned with OLD partion layout and BL
installed TWRP (included in the aio)
if you need to reinstall the google play store make sure you have right version if you flash it and get "unfortunately setup wizard has stopped" repeatedly you have the wrong version see this link for which one you need http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Gapps
obviously make sure you have adb and fastboot setup and drivers too.... it's a long process installing the entire sdk, personally for flashing this once and most definately not inclined to do it again i'd go with just the adb and fastboot rather than the whole sdk
also i found a keyboard error with 10.1 where i'd type 1,2 or 3 characters and the keyboard would minmise not sure if there's a proper fix (i found one thing where you disable the autocorrect but didn't want to do that) so i decided to download and install hackers keyboad which is based on the gingerbread keyboad and is much better and comes with full features and integrates nicely

I rooted my Verizon Galaxy S4 version i545VRUEMK2, I used this method from a guy on YouTube named Andre Hebra, it's his only video so if you want to see what it was you can find it (sorry couldn't post a link, I'm a forum newb) now I'm rooted but half of the superuser app is in Chinese or Japanese and its kind of annoying but I can figure out what is happening.
Now here is where I started having some trouble, I decided to try and flash a ROM to my device. I was trying to flash CyanogenMod 11 (12/26/13) Nightly (have no idea what nightly means) and I ran into a few problems that I hope some of you guys can help me with. I downloaded Clockwork ROM Manager and Installed a Recovery. I moved the .zip file from the Cyanogen website to the SD card in my phone. And also moved phone's files into a folder on my computer as a backup. I put my phone into recovery mode through the CWM app and cleared the cache and wiped the data. Now, I can't manually enter recovery boot by holding the volume up, power and home buttons, the phone boots up, the Recovery Boot message appears for a split second and then the phone turns off and boots up again into Android. I'm also struggling to figure out how to flash the ROM, shouldn't I be able to use this Clockwork app to install it from my SD card? But when I try and do that the .zip file doesn't show up in the directory. Did I do something wrong? A quick run through and tutorial would be helpful.

You have to make sure that you get the correct ROM for the device you have as they are many. Always if a new to rooting, write down all information from Setting>about. This is where all the most important information is. This way folks on here can help you out a lot better. It seems that you are stuck in a "Boot loop" it's not a big deal. There are a bunch of Youtube videos about boot loop check it out. I'm not that familiar with the ROM you have. Good Luck!

If you are new to all this, then you need to do alot more reading first of all if you are on MK2 base, you can not load any custom recovery except for safestrap. And with safestrap you CANNOT load any CM or ASOP based ROMS. This situation has been discuss a couple hundred times thru out this forum. You will get to learn about ODin process now as that is your only recourse.

i recently installed CM on my samsung s3 using the installer. All went all. Until after about 2 weeks, the phone was not charging correctly. So i went into the settings and performed a factory reset. No i had not installed or used clockworks to back up my phone. This left my phone in an unusaul state, where there was no home screen, i could not access my apps, although i could access the quick settings tab. Moving on....i followed a guide to try and restore my phones orginal rom using odin. According to odin all was successful, however my phone was stuck in a boot loop and so would not continue into phone. i read up and saw if i installed clockwork i could wipe cache and this might help the phone. so i installed clockwork using odin again. however when i try and access clockwork through the recovery mode, it only loads into odin mode? so i am unable to load clockwork as well i think. I am very new and this and i know i have probably made many mistakes but we learn through our mistakes. So my question is: Could someone please help me get my phone back to its orginal state!? Thankyou very much for anyone that can offer their time and help,

Ok, so I've rooted and put custom roms on numerous phones. I've been trying to put a custom recovery, twrp or cwm, whatever, on my wife's phone, but have got a wall. I know for sure, 100% that I am rooted. I tired to install twrp and cwm via their respective apps, ends up in either bootloop trying to boot into recovery (and FYI, the screen shows that a custom recovery is installed, just doesn't load into recovery and restarts). And tried both via Odin, but got the same result. Have never ran into this problem before with any of my phone's, all of the galaxy's and Galaxy Note's since the S2. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks homies!

OK, from your post it looks like you have done this before. To be sure lets go through the motions one more time.
Your device is updated to 4.4.4 NK4 the latest KitKat version. It's rooted you have supersu icon and run a root checker. First download again ( in case you got a bad download ) a copy of Philz CWM version 6.48.4 here is the link https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/hlte/ use "phil'z_touch_6.48.6-hlte.tar.md5" . I like to use odin version v1.85 it's little older but very stable, here is a link https://mega.co.nz/#!oA5xzTAL!LXoVWB...ZlOMSWdRGVX6Uo now flash the .tar file with odin. Make sure you let device boot up on it's own back to the OS, do not pull the cable and boot the device yourself. Then try and boot into recovery.
If it bootloops again, I would backup all your data to the PC desktop, and then do a factory reset get back to bone stock ( that means when your in download mode it says Samsung Official status not custom ) so many times I have seen folks with an unrooted device where the bootloader still says custom and you end up with a dirty flash or worse. It may take a couple factory resets to get back to stock, it doesn't always take the first time. When I flash a custom rom and then decide to go back to stock, I flash the rom two or three times to make sure I'm bone stock.

I know for sure, 100% that I am rooted. I tired to install twrp and cwm via their respective apps, ends up in either bootloop trying to boot into recovery (and FYI, the screen shows that a custom recovery is installed, just doesn't load into recovery and restarts). And tried both via Odin, but got the same result. Have never ran into this problem before with any of my phone's, all of the galaxy's and Galaxy Note's since the S2. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks homies!
Just to add, yes I made sure double checked, triple checked that I was installing the correct recovery for the phone model. Also, she has done all the ota updates that sprint has pushed as of last week (2/9/15).
