How can I unlock boot loader on 4.4.2 - HTC Desire 601

I'm having the worst time with htcdev website trying to unlock my bootloader it keeps saying invalid token length and doesn't send me anything to unlock my phone with.. All I need is the damn unlock token bin file and I'd not be trapped with this crap phone with no way to root it. Help please or even if I could get the bin file from someone I just need to unlock my bootloader.

Make sure you are selecting the correct info before copying. You are to include the arrows before and after the numbers ( <<<<<<<<<< and >>>>>>>>> ). Id upload my token but I have a feeling its different for every single phone.

Well your token would be worth a try I mean your unlock_code.bin I've literally tried like 20 times this is what I do with attached photos. then the page either just hangs or it just says error wrong length. I select just as it shows in the first photo. then I copy by right clicking and then I paste into my browser.

Ok u r doing it right. Its odd that it wont work. I suggest that u contact htc. Use live chat

[Q] Root Question

I was going to follow the steps of using Revolutionary... but it asks for my hboot version either 1.3 or 1.4... but I have 1.5... should I just pick 1.4?? will that mess anything up?
Yeah it won't work with yours. You need to use the HTC unlock method on the htcdev site. And don't even try the revolutionary method as it will most likely fry your phone.

yo, I tried that and it wouldn't accept my code... I made sure there were no spaces and everything... the error was

Please see the specific error code listed below, and try again if necessary.

I think you need to be on the latest ota to use the HTC unlock or atleast the version they say on the site. I used the unrevoked method so I'm not exacltly sure how that one works.

I'm not sure if the HTC method works this way but I've had to uninstall HTC Sync on several occasions to root phones due to a conflict issue. I would install it first for the drivers then remove and root.

Good question. i just got this Evo Via Replacement had a 4G. i just uninstalled the HTC Sync and tried and nothing gonna give a try tomorrow when i get home from work maybe the site is down..=[
I'm having the exact same problem. Followed the instructions to a tee, got the identifier token, copied without white space, and inserted at HtcDev.com. Same error, or rather, the lack thereof.
Hope this gets sorted out - had to replace my old Evo3D which had an earlier HBOOT for this one that I got through Asurion with HBOOT 1.5. I wish that Revolutionary worked on 1.5...
Same issue here, gotta be the site, was really pumped to get this thing unlocked tonight
This is failing for me as well on HTC's site, I was really hoping to get my phone rooted today ugh....
Boo. Same thing here. Just got my replacement and looking to get everything back in place. No luck tonight I guess

I have a similar situation, but I cannot get the code, it just says "waiting for device". I have the HTC drivers installed on Win7 (re-installed them again to make sure). Fastboot on, Fastboot USB on screen..just never get the token.
I do everything, every step, copy the token in the field and when i click submit, the page starts to load and then the "We're sorry! Site is currently under maintenance.
Please, come back later." appears... Only me?

the chargin port thingy was ****y. wouldnt charge unless it was help at the perfect position. not sure what they replaced but what i heard from a telus employee i know was that they put a whole new chip in so idk what would be changed
From what I know, some phones have the charging port onto the motherboard. So if it doesn't work, they have to replace the whole motherboard.
bawls, so htcdev site says my new id token is invalid
From what ur sayin it seems they replaced something that is effecting you unlocking it. If it is saying invalid, i would write them, or try sending them a message on twitter, htcdev has a twitter and most of the time they respond. If u dont have a twitter write them and tell them ur situation and that its saying its invalid...
Now that i think about it, it may be saying its invalid because u already used it when you unlocked it the first time. This happened to me when i relocked my phone and was trying to unlock it again. I would type in the toiken, and it would say it was invalid, because i had already used it. But i still had and used the Original file, i believe its a .bin fine, that i unlocked it with the first time, to unlock it again

Well he said 2 posts before that he went to htc dev and it said invalid, so i think that his original thought of it now being impossible was a misinterperatation.. but it coming up as invalid is because he already used the toiken once before. I kno this from experience trying to re-unlock myself

so have you tried the entire unlock process again from the start? tokens can't be reused, but an unlock.bin file can, assuming they didn't change anything major on your phone...
either way, use hasoon's all in one tool to help you get unlocked, it pretty much automates the whole process, then report back
Try creating a new account from htc dev..

No, it's supposed to - the instructions say to just copy the entire token, including INFO, so I'm assuming that they just filter the first 4 characters off of each line.
And if you're using a Telus Amaze4G, you're SOL. You can't generate new unlock codes as there's no option for Telus Amaze's... and the IMEI's do have some sort of way to identify which carrier they were bought from.
ok ok i got it! i thought they made it so telus amazes cant be unlocked but i did the htcdev method, i removed all the infos and it worked!

Anyway to root w/o htcdev?

Been trying to unlock bootloader for two days now. Keep getting the error Invalid Bootloader Token Length or Check Rule Fail with exception when it actually doesn't time out. I am pasting as I should w/o any spaces anywhere. Is there some other method I can use to get my TWRP backup restored to my phone? Running HBOOT 1.19.0000 S-ON.
Thanks for your time.

Pretty sure HTC dev is essential for rooting our phone. A lot of people seem to be having trouble with token length. Unfortunately I don't have any advice, I personally never had a problem with token length
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
If it's a problem with token length check that it's copied from arrow to arrow. HTC Dev does not like spaces at all. Pasting the token does not show if there are spaces either.

i quadruple checked the token. I even pasted it in notepad to ensure I wasn't copying some weird formatting.
This is what I'm pasting, maybe I'm still missing something. The formatting looks funny below but it's perfectly square in notepad.

Try today HTCDev for a different device.
I have been told that I got an e-mail sent ... but received nothing.

HTC DEV Stuck...Invalid bootloader token lenght

I was working on getting s-off and despite using a 64 bit windows, everything went well. I have read many topics and the solutions on the issues of the token identifier not work when trying to get the unloc bin, and here I am stuck. It always says the code is not long enough, I check to make sure I copy exactly as they say, no paste, I have sync manager and the drivers are the proper ones. I even tried disabling my virus protection for a few hours, and yet I remain stuck and unable to get the unlock code bin sent to my email.
You should try to copy & paste it to see if it solves the issue.
