Screen mirroring image blurred - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have an CUBOT S222 smartphone (surely you haven't heard about it because it is a chinese phone but it's working fine and stable like any other) it runs android 4.2.2 jellybean without any UI, it has the default android UI.
I have tried to use the screen mirroring feature on my Samsung smart tv and all works fine excepting the image that is blurry somehow like in the 3D shutter mode but i have not enabled any 3D conversion or other things like that. I have heard that a cause can be the bad wi-fi signal but mine is pretty strong.
I don't know what I must do to fix the blurred image if it can be fixed.
Any attempt to help is welcome.
Thanks!

How to disable Continuous Focus

Hello,.
we all know Continuous Focus is so good, but sometimes it doesn't work fine
especial when zooming or at night ,.when camera is trying to focus videos is so blury
Is there any way to disable it,.?
This is my 1st post in xda,. hope this is the right place to do
At low light, this is a really annoying thing for me too. Impossible to get a smooth shot of my childrens playing becaus of this
Had the same problem - fixed it by using "lgCamera" - there's a free version in the market. On my i9100 KI3 2.3.5 it stopped the stupid continuous autofocus in 720p and 1080p.
Liked it so much I paid for the full version (no change in autofocus functionality, just wanted to support the dev and get rid of the nag screen!
Free version: https://market.android.com/details?id=rubberbigpepper.lgCamera
I installed lgCameraPro 6.1, still continuous focus is activated , dunno if there is an option to be activated ,
but the application is very nice by the way
maybe firmware version 2.3.3 is the reason
Works with lgcamera on ics, thx guys
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
on aosp roms we get zero lag shutter so we dont have to deal with this

I had been waiting for a potential OTA so I stayed on nottachtrix rom for a while but now I'm on epinter CM10. I uses a lapdock and would like to find out whether we could tweak the mirror resolution so that it won't look as pixelated on the lapdock. Nottachtrix ROM use an app called mirror resolution but as far as I can tell, that is Blur-based ROM only.
I use an app called DSLR Controller to control my Canon T4i and would love to have a clearer quality image (by matching the lapdock screen resolution). As of this moment, the screen resolution of the image feed from the camera is not better than the quality of what I see through the view finder and the flip out LCD screen.
Thank you

I don't think that this is possible because of a lack of drivers (I'm sure it would have been fixed in ICS ROMs if it were possible with the limited tools that developers have available to them).
It's things like this that make you more annoyed at Motorola for giving crap support for the ATRIX.

[Q] Missing HDMI output functions on Android ROMs past ICS

On all 4.0 stock ROMs for the Mediapad i can use the TV, which I connected with HDMI, as a secondary screen and turn off the tablet screen seperately. The image is outputted in 1080p as my display shows me and when Android detects video, like Youtube, another videoplayer or even on Flash Player it automatically removes the navbar and the black bar on the sides because of the 16:10 format of the tablet.
But on the CM and AOKP custom roms with Jelly Bean this functionality apparently was removed. :/ It's cool that there is even an image output on HDMI (thanks to the dev^^), because for a long time the output on CM was quite buggy. But because it's always outputted on 720p with black bars on the sides and when i play video it doesn't switches in fullscreen, as it did in ICS, the HDMI output is quite useless for me.
Is there any possibility to add those functions back, change the hdmi resolution or just maybe readd the automatic fullscreen switch for videos?
I already searched and looked through many threads and it looks like the ASUS Transformer Pads also got this problem with the Jelly Bean 4.2 update and the Nexus 10 got the same problem. I found an this script for the Nexus 10 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2278508) and tried it, but it just messed up my UI, so I had to wipe, and didn't even changed the HDMI output resolution. I also found these two apps (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.forbitel.screensettings&hl=de and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2300248), but I really don't know if they're gonna work, because even if it says in the description of the "Screen Settings" app, that it's for devices with screens larger than 4.5 inch, it looks like they're intented for the Nexus 10 and I really don't want to mess up my UI again, just to wipe install everything one more time

[Q] i9100 Camera cropped image (zoom view) after upgrade to Cyanogenmod

Since upgrade to the Cyanogenmod, the camera on my i9100 is making zoomed pictures.
Digital zoom is set to 1.0, so theoretically there is NO zoom set, however when compared with another i9100 pictures are cropped.
To have the same view area I had to zoom to 2x on stock rom!
Picture quality is also very poor especially in macro mode (it's having problems focusing).
Currently I have the 11 revision (4.4.4) of the Cyanogenmod (nighty from 07/07/2014). Previous CM was behaving the same way.
All photos are saved as 3264 x 2448 resolution.
I like this software and don;t want to go back to stock rom but I also need a good camera, so your help would be highly appreciated.
Edit: I have downgraded to stock ROM and problem is now gone, so it must be something with CM.
I have since tried 3 different KitKat ROMs (C-Rom, Neat and Slim) and all suffer from the same problem - poor quality of BOTH cameras (front and rear) compared to stock Samsung ROM.
All rear cameras capture cropped photos compared to old stock ROM.
I don't think it's a fault of my mobile, since after downgrading to stock ROM everyhitng is back to normal, so it must be KitKat. I am just surprised that no one else noticed this problem
Did you disable True View in the camera app?

I could not find this feature in CM11, but found it in other KitKat system. After disabling camera crops a bit, I can live with that, however quality of photos is still bad compared with stock ROM. I will try to upload some photos today to show the difference.
After upgrading to SlimSaber, camera is taking good quality photos again, so problem solved.

Bulit-in camera app "zoom" problem

Hi!
Some days ago I upgraded my S10+ with the latest firmware.
Aftert it when I use the switch beetween different views (ultawide, normal, 2x) the dissolve is like a zoom... I liked when it was "normal" switch without zoom.
It is not a problem in photo mode but when I made a video I think so it is confusing because the zoom is not smooth...
I found the previous version of the camera app but the phone doesn't want to install due to I have newer version.... (
So my question: How can I get back the original camera function?
(To be honest this is the reason why I am not changed my phone to S20... I know it is not S20 topic but if you have solution for S20 to use the camera on this way I would be very happy! )
Please help me! Thanks in advance.
