Can a metropcs mega work on tmo without being unlocked? - Samsung Galaxy Mega

Just wondering if it's possible to use a Metropcs GMega on Tmobile without the phone being unlocked by the former?
Is it possible to self-unlock the phone if MetroPCS declines to issue unlock codes?

If It's anything like other metro phones, it won't work. I had 2 metro optimus l9 and optimus f3. I thought it would be a plug and chug but the phone gave the invalid Sim error and needed to be unlocked. I know metro is owned by TMobile but I think they may have blocked metro phones to work on TMobile as metro sells them cheaper off contract. Just my 2c

Two identical phones one locked the other not

I have two Samsung Galaxy Light T399N phones, one was originally a T-mobile phone that I paid for a code and got it unlocked. The other is a Metro PCS and is locked. Is there a way for me to unlock the Metro PCS phone? Both phones are rooted.
Yeah call metro they will do it after 90 days of service

Verizon LG v10 on AT&T?

I have a Verizon LG v10 that I want to use on AT&T. Per Verizon the phone is unlocked, but I'm wondering will it be compatible? Will I still receive 4g LTE? I know someone who has Cricket. If I pop their sim into my phone, since it's supposedly AT&T, would that tell me how it will work?

Well I think I figured it out. Put in the Cricket card and all I get is H and no LTE. This Cricket card came out of a Verizon branded Nexus 6 and that got LTE fine. I think I'll just sell my Verizon v10 and pick up an AT&T v10.

Question Can the N200 Metro variant be used with TMO MVNOs like Tracfone, Mint etc prior to unlock?

Since the N200 Metro variant is known to work with TMO sims prior to unlock......can this device also work with TMO MVNO. say like Tracfone with a TMO Tracfone sim?
Thanks.
I suspect not as I've tried both Google Fi and Boost Mobile SIMs and it just shows the SIM as invalid and informs me that the device is still network locked. I'd originally wanted to use it with Google Fi so that was certainly disappointing.

Question MetroPCS A52 unlock to use with T-mobile?

Is there a way to unlock the MetroPCS A52 to work with a T-mobile SIM?
I thought the TMobile sim work ok without unlocking the Metro PCS? Did you try to put in your sim directly in the phone without unlocking?
I'm using a tmoble a32 with a metro Sim and it's not unlocked at all.
T-Mobile owns Metro, so I think if anything was going to work easier than most, it would be a Metro-to-T-Mobile switch. I know Metro has an app that facilitates switching and it asks if your phone is unlocked (mine was, so I'm not SURE what the step after this was) but the way it was phrased seemed to imply that if it WAS locked, it mattered what carrier it was locked to for moving forward. I would investigate the T-Mobile site, or see if you can download an app of theirs?

Question sim unlock metro by T-Mobile n200?

I have a n200 5g on metro. I need it network unlocked. I'm not eligible through metro to do it for free yet. any cheap alternatives I can use? I have to do this by Monday so I can use the device on qlink wireless. I've searched around and I can't find much and the few places I have want to charge $70. yes I own the phone and it's a clean IEMI.
I spoke to metro just now. they refuse to unlock it. I've had it for 120 days and they require 180. qlink wireless uses the TMobile network just like metro does. do you guys think the sim would work without unlocking the device? I've heard a TMobile sim card does.

I would say to just wait until you reach 180 days. Only Metro can unlock your phone, not an MVNO or T-Mobile. Putting a different SIM card may reset the unlock timer.

I'm loosing metro service Monday. I have free service through qlink. I need to use the phone. I cannot find an unlocking service for it. I guess I'll have to sell it.
I want sim unlock for my phone N200-5g of metro by T-Mobile n200?
Me too
SIM UNLOCKED (bought in September/2021)
It got sim-unlocked after 180day, by simply pressing "unlock permanently" without using Metro or T-Mobile sim ever. after 180day however the phone is seems out of time (outdated).
