[Thread Deleted] - Wear OS Software and Hacking General

[Post Deleted]

hello,
I install the application this morning, but it does not work on my Postfix mail server. When I want to test the server with your application nothing happens on my server (I checked the logs and no trace of connection to your application). My connection settings are good because my app ProfiMail used on the phone can connect to my mail server Postfix !!!
Should we take the paid version for it to work?
kind regards

Hi,
I am trying your app but I have a very very annoying bug.
I setup the "Popup" button to "No" because I do not want intrusive windows on my phone when I unsleep it. I have the Wear watch to see notification (is why I would use eNotify). But after some eNotify Notification, when I unsleep my phone I have the eNotify Popup Window on screen. If I open the Android phone eNotify app, I can see that the "Popup" button has itself changed and it is now on "Yes". Every time I change it to setup to "No" it become on "Yes" itself after a few time. It is very anoying if the app setting change and are not saved.
After setup to "No" I can verify and open anew the app to see the "Popup" button and it is still on "No", it is after few notification that button change itself.

Looks like I'm having trouble with Gmail 2-factor authentication. Any workaround besides disabling that on my account?

Fine
I want to buy but this problem is annoying, so if it works on full version it is good.

Exelent aport.

Now I have the full version.
I do not understand why eNotify do not see all the mail in account ? I have few mail in my account, eNotify not see all mail but all other mail app see this ??? event if I press "check now" eNotify bypass some mail and I never have notification for some mail...
ex mail at 7H36, 7H39, 7H42 for example, eNotify see the mail at 7H36 and 7H42 but never show the mail received at 7H39, what happen ?

Hi,
Why eNotify say I have 46 New messages because I have not 46 New messages. Just 4 new displayed in notification bar.

No way to reset the (un)new mail. If I click on eNotify notification in status bar it open eNotify and clear the status bar notification but counter stay at same value + others new message on the next mail received. Actualy is at "65 New Messages"

[Post Deleted]

Another bug today.
eNotify send me 2 time the same notification.
I check my mail with K9 and I have really only one mail in mailbox. So it is a bad notification from eNotify.
If I check the eNotify log I have a strange message :
It say that active count is greater than account count ??? I have 3 mail account since the first setup of eNotify and no add another.

Is a new app name for eNotify ?

(Looking For) WM6 Today Screen Facebook & Twitter Status Update Field

Didn't know if this was the best place to put this or not, but I'm looking for an app that will allow me to enter my Facebook and Twitter status without having to open up a full program, just by typing it all in the today screen field. Think Skyfire's "Update My Status" function but on the today screen like how the optional search bar field works.
I have a 2nd today screen on my Rhodium that I use to manage a few apps that aren't TF3D friendly, and have room for a few short lines for me to type my status into Facebook and Twitter while on the go. I like how Skyfire has the options to globally change status on both FB and Twit at the same time, so if you know of something that will do that, please point me in the right direction! I've heard about the Twitter tab for TF3D, but would rather update status through FB instead of through Twit because of the 140 character limits.
All help on this subject, including how you currently update your status quickly without having to load Skyfire or enter in a mobile browswer or through texts, would be greatly appreciated!
here is a solution for twitter : http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2009/06/16/twittoday-15-post-twitter-tweets-from-windows-mobile-today-screen.html.. If u find a solution for Facebook ..let me know

that is PERFECT for Twitter, wow, exactly what I was looking for.... and like you said, now to find one that does Facebook as well! I've seen people link their FB and Twit status, is that something to look into and just use this for quick, 140 character updates?
EDIT - that only works for those who don't have "protected" Twitter accounts.... oh well!
http://www.ajvaynerchuk.com/how-to-link-twitter-to-facebook-a-twitter-tutorial/
BINGO! I knew if I kept searching I would eventually find it....
http://blog.steffanantonas.com/hack...tter-and-still-keep-your-tweets-protected.htm
Just used TwitToday and updated my status on Facebook, even though my tweets are protected on Twitter! Nice.........
Okay, in case anyone is wondering why Facebook SUCKS at updating Twitter status....... get rid of it altogether and use Yakket:
http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=48449043052
Worked on the first try and my Twitter status is protected. Doesn't take 30mins to an hour to update like the stupid Twitter app on Facebook does, and even Tweeter didn't work for me. Was so tired of having to wait for status updates that are time-sensitive to post on FB using Twitter, and this works!!! Thought I'd pass on the good news!
CycHowdy Messenger
You can try the CycHowdy Messenger that I just posted...
great
Those are great tools but I would like to see an app that actually provide me some updates as well. Something like Android does with facebook.
Is there any application like this ?
I was wondering if samsung wiz would allow something like that...

Google Voice..Is it fully functional with rooted NT?

As the title states...(minus the calling capabilities of course)
Thanks for the info.
Rob
If you refer to google voice for text messages and calls and not google voice search as some people get confused, then yes it works pretty well, but for make calls it does not work with other apps like groove IP , gvoice and so because of the lack of the proper drivers for the mic and possibly speaker too.
~ Veronica
Awesome thanks....yes I will just be using for the texting. When the NT is in sleep mode will it still notify you of an incoming message or do you have to manually check it? Also, when rooted do you get audible notifications for new messages and/or emails like you do on a regular Android tab or phone?

yes you can get audible notifications, and the notfications will not show up while nook is sleeping once you wake it up wifi will wake up too in few seconds and then you will have to wait until next refresh of google voice to check for new texts to finally show up in your notification status bar, i think it refresh every 5min but not sure and there is not option to set the refreshing time in google voice.

The only problem is that you cannot access your contacts list (since the Contacts application is not installed).

Nop, you can use your contacts while you sync them with your gmail account:

I've successfully texted using Google Voice with the NT (sent and received). I use GMail, but recently started using Contapps for viewing and text messaging/e-mailing my contacts on the tablet. It also has Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc integration. So far so good.
No go on the phone calling though.

Email blank in inbox, but shows up fine if forwarded?

Hi! Little problem here, an AT&T GSIII.
I'm using the stock email app to read my school email on Exchange. A few times, emails in my inbox are half-loaded and hitting "download more details" does nothing. But, if I forward the email, the copied email shows up perfectly. Like here, compare the inbox view and the forwarded view:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It's not just that table; the entire rest of the email is blank in the inbox and completely there if I forward it. Does the stock app not work with Exchange? I did have to manually enter the settings...
Thanks in advance,
~Ibrahim~
I started a similar thread about ghost emails from a pop3 comcast account when using the tw native mail app -
No solution as of yet...
Weird...I'm gonna call Samsung later today.
Are you guys using power saving?
If so, I noticed the same issue, because power saving will try to turn your text to white, and your background to black for less power usage, however, it fails to change the background. So if you highlight the text are, you should be able to see the text. I just disabled that part of the power saving feature set.

He shoots and scores ! Thanks for the tip, it looks like power saving is the culprit..
Shnaps!! You're right!
Thank you for the tip!

You guys are very welcome. It was something that I stumbled upon after trying to max out my battery life.
Also as a note, if anyone is interested, you can adjust the text color and background color of the email messages if you go to the menu while already in an email.
Oh! That's the issue, though. Even from within the email app, it changes the font color fine, but the background still doesn't change. Or is that just on mine?
backround
Mine does the same thing, exchanged and same result, must be a bug with Exchange and the email program!

Sms popup alternative?

I've been using the stock messaging app for a long time now and love having the text popup for me. I've had sms popup installed and have used that, but was looking for any alternatives.
Recommendations? I'd prefer to keep my stock app and not use Handcent or gosms. Used them a long time ago and am not a fan anymore.

+1 for Glowfly for sure. Love that app, best Pop-up notification app I've found yet. Its not loaded with crap, has just the right features. and if you need more, check out the plugins/addons.
Problem with these third party pop-up apps is that they don't mark the messages as read in the native sms app. This is really a pain if you have a LED light on that notifies of a new text arrived. Even though you have already marked it as read in the pop-up, it's still necessary to go into the sms app and mark the message as read before the LED stops flashing. The devs should consider this as more and more phones have LED notifications as an option.

You sure? Glowfly has an option to mark as read when you click dismiss. I haven't played with Glowfly enough to know if that works though. Does that also mark as read if you reply using Glowflow?
I was thinking of using Glowfly as a popup with handcent behind it, but just seems easier to me to use just handcent and do all my messaging there, whether it be through their popup or their app.
turn off the notifications in the built in message app and use the ones in the 3rd party one. problem solved

you need to turn off notifications from your native sms app. also most popup solutions have an option to mark messages as read.
You should try out the app Notify Lite/Pro.

New to me, ATT LG V30 - Gmail shows only last 30 days of messages ?

New to me V30 and Gmail shows only last 30 days of messages.
Any messages show up only on laptop or desktop. Nothing from March 2019 show on phone.
Have checked Settings, Accounts, Google and Sync -- there is no date limit on any of these settings. Have also checked Settings from Desktop logon to Gmail and there is no apparent location or setting that allows or restricts "days to show" -- or I am not seeing the setting.
Where may I adjust it to unlimited or at least 90 days ?

It's a simple app setting.
Has nothing to do with V30, but the Android Gmail app. Default is 30 days, but you can set for more if you wish. There's also app settings for auto downloading attachments, etc.

In the Gmail app settings, click on your email address. Retention period is customized per account. Some people have more than one Gmail account.
You can also go to gmail.com on your phone web browser if you want to see your computer view.
Have only 1 email account and it is gmail
When I click on Accounts and select my gmail account, a long list of permissions to various parts show up, calendar, sync etc but nothing that has a days to send./sync value
Holding down the area with email does nothing and Sync button by itself has no function other that sync now
Still elusive -- if step by step can be posted, would help a lot.
Also tried on laptop, logged on in normal desktop mode and Settings does not have an area to set anything with value in days -- in fact, it shows All mail in Inbox from years ago to present day
Found the steps in this video
