Have you looked at all at the "faq's" at the top of the forum pages, maybe the "please read", or the "important threads?"
Perhaps do a little searching using the "Search" button?

You have to open the ROM zip and pull the boot.img out and flash it using fast boot cimands or if you can get into your android system using your original backup....then you can install 4ext recovery which will flash the boot img for you with smart flash...sound like you have a kernel problem

can you get into your android system or are you stuck in recovery? I can also provide you the root zip file if you need to flash it in recovery

Hmm. Phone only seems to like one rom

So I recently flashed to aospish_jk2_v1.0. Works just fine. But I wanna goof around with some other roms. But when I try to flash to other roms or my previous stock backup, it goes into the recovery flashing screen for about 2 seconds. Then the phone restarts and I'm in recovery. When I reboot the phone I'm still on the same rom..what should I do? Try to use odin to flash another rom?

are you flashing though the clock work recovery? Is the recovery letters blue or green?
I've found the best way to go between roms is always Odin back to stock, then install the new rom. That seems to prevent most problems.

I used rom manager to flash. But when in recovery letters are blue and it says android system recovery. So I'm assuming clockwork recovery actually hasn't installed?

You need to open rom manager and flash the CW recovery... from rom manager then click on flash to CWR... it will take you to stock recovery, click on reinstall packages.
now you are at CWR and can flash new rom.
Ah. My problem was that I never flashed ce recovery properly. Thanks guys.

You have to select reinstall packages, and it will go to the blue recovery again, then press reinstall packages again and clockwork should boot up everytime.
So i just have to keep on reinstalling packages until cwm works?? I think i will lose my superuser etc.. What zip file do i have to put on my intrnal card?

Once u are rooted you done need update.zip for root
What if i already rooted my phone using super one click root on my froyo 2.2? Do I still have to update? By update.zip?

After you used super one click root, delete that update.zip file that it places in your internal memory.
Then download rom manager, click flash clockwork-mod recovery and it should say boot into the blue recovery. In there click reinstall packages, and if it takes yiu to the blue screen again, click reinstall packages one more time and you should boot into clockwork from now on.
Ok thank you master and slave one more question do I still have to install the unzip thing from my internal sd? Or not a any more?

One more question when I rebooted my phone using rom manager and I pressed reboot into recovery mode,it still takes me to the blue recovery,,which is to be green,,,i have to keep on repeating reinstll pcgkges? Until it becomes into a cwm recovery? I'm confused

Since you are on 2.2, you need the modified 3e recovery. Then you should be able to get into CWM.
Or you can just use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954509 and Odin back to 2.1 and not have any issues updating your ROM.
Reading all the guides helps alot with these questions.

The method I was giving you was for 2.1
Its easier to root from 2.1.
But the thread above should help
Another route around 3e recovery is to use a Voodoo kernel, because those have CWM baked right in. I recommend this because for whatever reason I couldn't get modded 3e recovery working.

No operating system just TWRP and Fastboot

Hello XDA family,
I have a problem
I have a Sprint Evo 4gLTE, I recently installed twrp recovery successfully. Shortly after that, I tried to flash the phone to MeanROM but it did not work. At that point I got stuck with no operating system, access to fastboot and twrp but no way to install a new operating system.
I've tried installing an RUU and it doesn not work.
I've tried different ROMS and it doesn't work.
My phone is unlocked and rooted. WHAT can I do !!!!!!!?????!!!! AAAAAA...!!! lol
Did you make a backup before trying MeanRom?
If you have access to computer and internet you can mount your phone through twrp, download a ROM to your SD card and flash it

Do a what before what?
^^^^^^this guy is talking that crazy talk!^^^
Try extracting the boot.img file out of the meanbean zip, flashing it through fastboot, then going into twrp and wipe everything but ur internal/external storage, then flashing the zip like normal. I had to do it like that when I flashed meanbean, hope that helps.

How to flash cm 10.1

I've got my boot loader unlocked. I'm rooted on v10g. I have cwm and I was wondering if I could just flash the zip file with cwm.
I think you have to make sure you have the right recovery to flash with. If I'm not mistaken I did flash with the cmw for locked bootloaders but to be safe I'll say to find the right one that is for unlocked bootloaders. I'm using CMW touch for unlocked bootloaders. Make sure you do a factory reset. It might not be necessary but I run a factory reset, I wipe cache and dalvik cache before flashing a ROM. Also, make sure you backup your stock ROM before flashing another.

Is there anywhere I can get the files for cwm touch? I wasn't able to install that when I unlocked my bootloader. Thanks for the reply.

Here is the recovery file, just install it using fastboot as cmahendra describes in his awesome guide
Everytime I issue the unlock command to try and get in fastboot mode it just restarts my phone.

Oh, I didn't know you had a P769.
Look at the bottom most paragraph of the first post of this guide by carloswii5.
He explains it very nicely.
So to get this straight. I download the recovery image & put that on the root of the sd card. Then flash it. Then I'll boot to recovery & flash cm 10.1

Yes, exactly, but use the "Nandroid Manager ROOT" to flash recovery and then do a full wipe + format system before flashing CM10.1
You can of course then flash Gapps as well.

If you want to install the cm10 rom the optimus L9 has as of right now you
have to do the following
1) Go to the app store and search for the app called "Nandroid Manager ROOT"
download the app and open it then go to flash recovery you must first put the recovery from the downloaded file to the
root of you external sd card and then go to the app and search for the recovery and flash it.
After you flash it you will have a recovery on your phone
(just to let you know it will be mirrored) but to boot to recovery you must turn off the phone
and then hold the "Volume UP + Home Button + Power Button"
now go download the cm10 rom from here " http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2216542 " put the file to the root of your sd card and then reboot to recovery and then to flash you will need to "wipe system, wipe cache, and wipe dalvik cache then flash" after you flash the zip reboot and you will have CM10 Hope This helped

Well. You should do it every time if you want to enter into the CWM. If you want to change your recover mode permenently you should follow some other procedure!
