[Q] Wifi and Mirroring - Xperia Tablet Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all
I just brought a refurbished unit. I love this device. However, I am using the stock rom for now and I am just wondering anyone get the Wifi and Mirroring worked at the same time. Once I get the tablet mirror to the TV, it will force the Wifi disconnected. Any solution ?

I don't think that's possible since both uses wifi but I've never tried it.

Sony support will tell you it doesn't work (not supported by hardware) and most people will say the same, well i'm here to tell you it does work, i just made this video showing you how to get it working, Sony should really fix this software bugs they are really annoying :/ they end up looking like they don't know their own products.

Basically;
1-Connect to the tv
2-Go to wifi settings
3-Press the WPS button and cancel it
and the device should connect to the wifi network by it self
hope it helps!

Doesn't work on my tablet

[Q] Wireless hotspot / tethering

Hi,
Just a question that I can't find an answer to anywhere, does anyone else experience the following.
When I enable tethering or wireless hotspot the other device/s that connect get internet access, but my phone has no internet access itself, so I don't get email and can't use internet reliant apps at the same time. As soon as I enable tethering/wireless hotspot the phone has no internet access.
The main reason I ask this and don't think it is meant to happen is because a friend of mine has a Galaxy SII and he can use the internet on his device whilst other devices are tethered.
Does anyone else experience this, does anyone know of a solution if it is not support to do this.
Cheers
Jon
It works on my device. What rom are you using?
If you're using CM10 or a kang of CM10 tethering doesn't work buddy....

Imho
I have heard of T-mobile charging extras for thetering but your situation seems different. Hopefully someone will help you otherwise try searching "T-mobile thetering" or such on your device's forum and try to make an idea of what's going on. good luck.
edited...i didn't read "UK" and directed you to the US T-mobile forum....

Samsung pocket GALAXY wifi issue

Hello everyone,
I am running android 2.3.6 on my pocket galaxy.
Whenever i keep my wifi on for sometime and keep my mobile aside ,i doesn't connect to internet as soon as I again pick it up. Though it shows that it is connected but i have to switch wifi of my mobile off and them turn it on again. There is probably no issue with my internet connection or router because my tablet and laptop doesn't show similar problem that use the very same wifi signals for accessing internet.
Secondly, lets say i went out of home along with my mobile into an area where i don't get the wifi signals of my router and then came back, while wifi was on, mobile would not connect itself even after ten to fifteen minutes. I don't know whether there is any particular time interval for every mobile to scan for wifi but i guess it must be not more than two to three mins once you don't have signals.
Please tell me ,is it a hardware issue or software issue and how to fix it. Would be grateful .
Regards

[Q] How to trick apps into thinking device is on WiFi when it is on mobile data?

There are many threads seeking a solution for this, but they are all tucked into phone-specific forums and I can't find any that address a general method for current version of Android (4.2.2).
Want to: run apps that demand to have WiFi on+connected, even when I'm on 3G/4G. (Specifically, I'd be happy if I could get Xfinity TV Player to run on my rooted stock Nexus 4 over HSPA, but again, hoping this thread will attract info about tricking apps in the general case.)
Tried: A) qaWifiOnlyMode.txt, B) running WiFi Tether For Root Users and quickly turning wifi on after launching. Neither worked.
Cheers
Hi, It's really bizarre... there are a few apps and methods to do this thing in what we call "closed source jail" AKA iOS ... and it is really amazing to discover that there isn't single method that works on our beloved open platform AKA Android?!?
Anyway, This is the only thing that still unavailable for android...
Cheers...
The Xfinity TV app requires you to be on Verizon Wireless for it to work on 3G/4G. It's a deal Comcast has with them.
I'm on T-Mobile with a Nexus 4 with LTE enabled & want that app to work without wifi, as well.
Perhaps there's just 1 line of code that looks for Verizon service???
The Connectivity Manager would play a role for certain:

This thread seems a litte old but if anyones interested, Hack connectivity did the trick for me. If you have xposed installed it'll just take you a few minutes.

[Q] Open closed ports

OK, fellow S4 owners, I have a little problem that's been driving me nuts for the past few days. I purchased a XBox One, set it up fine with no issues. No issues, that is, until I reached the point where I had to sign into XBox Live. For whatever reason, it won't even take me to the sign in screen. As soon as I hit the Add Account button, I get a message saying my home network may need to be checked. Why is he posting this here, you might ask? Good question... the answer is because I'm using my hotspot as the connection for the XBox One. All connection tests are fine, no issues detected except a moderate NAT setting, but that shouldn't prevent one from signing into XBox Live, especially since it worked on the 360 I traded in for the One. Has anyone else tried to use their S4 or any other hotspot with an XBox One and been able to add their account, and if so, what did you have to do to get it to work? Any help is greatly appreciated, because otherwise I just bought a $200 blue ray player. Thanks in advance.
I've tried this before as well, it was not successful. I'm not sure what you would have to change for it to work.

Why would you want to use your phone for your One?
My phone is actually my only internet connection at home. The connection it provides is more than fast enough. As stated above, I could download the required updates fine, it just won't let me add my account. I get a network problem message as soon as I hit Add Account.
I remember using my phone as a WiFi hotspot for my Xbox 360 at hotels. I could play GTA online no problem lol
