[Q] Need help to back up data from Lenovo K900 - Lenovo K900

Hi all..
I have bought a Lenovo K900 for 4 months old, and now the problem is on the connector which they're claiming it has broken.
The problem is, it cannot be connected to my laptop or PC.
I just afraid that if my Lenovo getting worse, that they will change the whole machine and I will loose all the data...
Is there any way to back up all my data without turning on my K900?

I know this is not what you want to hear, but if it doesn't turn on at all then no.
tought so, but is there no way to take out the memory and put it on a new motherboard or somthing like that?

Of course you can do that, but that's a massive undertaking and would cost you 2 phones.
i am still looking for an solution to recover my data from a dead sgs2 is there a way to do it, even if i have to destroy the phone?
Hi lector007 ,
Did you ever figure out a way to do this?
The exact same thing happened to me and I'm desperate to get all the videos of my daughter off the internal memory.
I just can't beleive that it's not possible.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Thank you

not sure.. actually my many friends about 8-9 friends have Mozart and all got updated successfully and working fine. Mine got corrupt I belive is due to any one of the reason.
1 - battery was not fully charged so it drained during update process and corrupted files on ROM.
2 - my USB cable is little damanged.. so if I move my cell it drops connection.. and I was on couch so I suspect this maybe main reason behind files getting corrupt.
Hahaha, sounds exactly like me xD
Except I was in bed and not on couch^^
hey guys, do you have chvron unlocked phone or not?

nope.. mine developer unlocked.
hmm, so I got a response from HTC.. they say motherboard is dead.. now I highly doubt that, because it happened during update process and specifically after HTC Cleanup update, after it restarted phone it did not come up.. so I am going to open it and test it myself.. and if still I dont find out.. I am going to give it to local mobile repairer and see.. else buy new Windows Phone.
whats up with ur device?
HTC is hopeless.. they have only one answer Motherboard.. and am 100% sure it is not motherboard issue. So tomorrow I am going to some local mobile repair shop which will repair it using JTAG method. Basically it can bring hard brick devices into life again.
will keep you all posted.
updated to Mango without any problems.
Got my Mozart backup alive.. Got it reparied from the local mobile shop.. darn cheap compared to HTC Motherboard reason.. and got it reparied in just 2 hours.
What ended up being wrong with it?

Hi I have the same problem here except that the cable is fine and I was doing the update on a desk.
What ended up being the problem with yours... HTC want me to believe its the battery but I know that that diagnosis is ****.

my cell is samsung s2 i9100
custom rom = http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2483709&page=101
I'd be very surprised if they fix it by 'flashing it with new software', normally in these instances you'd be looking at a motherboard replacement. They may be referring to a JTAG, and your phone might be one of the lucky instances where that's possible.
Either way, if you didn't back your data up, you won't be recovering it.

thanks for the reply, well dont know what are they reffering to but they are saying phone will be fine but they cant save the data
is there any best or paid recovery software from which i can get back the data, its even very scary because that backup software will also show very old unwanted data too
Nope. The only very rough chance you may have is to contact a company who specialises in recovery of data from dead hard drives (Google search). Very unlikely to be able to help & will be very expensive if they are able to.

i have tried to go these places but useless.. they only know how to replace the motherboard , they won't help us to deal with the back up issue
You can't solve that issue. It's not possible. The only people who might be able to (and this is probably a 1 in 1000 chance) is a company who specialises in data recovery from dead hard drives, and even that is very unlikely.
do others have methods to help me??
No.
i want to know what 's wrong with my phone....:crying:
when i try to turn on, i feel that the phone is still a bit warm... it's working right??
Something on the motherboard has crapped itself. No, the opposite. Having the phone warm up near the camera is symptomatic of every single case like this we see/have seen on here in 2.5 yrs. You're not fixing it yourself unless you replace the motherboard yourself, and you're not recovering your data regardless of what you or anyone else does.
Now, you can sit here for 4 days, a week, two weeks, a month in denial & maybe have people tell you to try things that might build your hopes up but have absolutely no chance of working, or you can bite the bullet & have the phone repaired or buy a new phone.
The choice is yours.

Take your phone to local mobile repair shop ... asks for checking short circuit for battery , and Two power IC's .. one located near camera and other lower Right..
ask him to check if something is wrong on both these..
if it does... asks for POWER IC replacement or Motherboard replacement..
If at last nothing works and you are finally going to replace your motherboard anyway
do this thing or ask a technician to do this.. may be it'll work:

Can I recover my data from a short circuited motherboard?

Dear, my galaxy s2 is dead, please, help me, I need recover it, mainly because my unsaved data. It began discharging even connected to the charger, some days after it reboot while charging and has blocked in the samsung logo. I have removed the battery and put it again, it blocked in the samsung logo (I not pushed the power button)... I have removed the battery again and DEAD, no more, nothing...
There is any way of I get my data (pictures, phone contacts, phone calendar, etc.) from motherboard?
Details about the short circuit, with pictures, can be seen in the topic "Insoluble short circuit samsung galaxy s2" at GSM-Forum..
I don't know what I can do. :crying:
Please, help me!
If your device is totally dead (no download mode/recovery), I think the easiest (but not cheapest) way is to buy another S2 (of the same variant), replace its mainboard with yours and pray that the mainboard isn't the broken part itself (but I think it is). I often changed parts of my S2 and I can say it is very easy to open and change mainboard.
But i hope that there will be some other suggestions from more experienced users...

The motherboard is short circuited, unfortunately I can't post pictures (pictures can be seen in the topic "Insoluble short circuit samsung galaxy s2" at GSM-Forum). I would be happy if buy another motherboard solve my main goal that is recovery my data, but I think that not would solve, I think that the data is on the motherboard, thus just change the motherboard not help me to recovery my data. :crying::crying::crying:

For your situation, you can only send your device to lab and ask professionals to do the work.

But, is it possible recovery the data? How? Maybe jtag?
Blair Miller said:
Well, maybe you can try some recovery app first. I know a good one called Jihosoft Android Phone Recovery. But there is no guarantee. when your data is lost, the sector used to save data is marked as available. You can not see the data. But the data is still there until new data overwritten the old one.
If the app doesn't work. I am afraid you have to send it to professional lab. And it will be expensive. Anyway, good luck.

You could find some at the internet, and send your phone to them for evaluation, if it still can be recovered, you are lucky. If not, they will return the device to you and won't charge any fees.
