flappjaxxx Proudly Presents
h0tcakez kernel for OnePlus One
Thanks to franciscofranco and ak

What is this?
This is a somewhat custom kernel based on franco and ak kernels.
This is for AOSP based ROMs ONLY
This WILL NOT work on CM11s or latest CM11 nightlies
What's different?
I have cherry picked a few commits and reverted a couple of commits.
1. Color control still works
2. Updated to latest touch panel firmware
3. Additional governors from ak kernel
Download here:
h0tcakez kernel v1.1
h0tcakez_kernel_OPO-v1.1.zip md5sum=a5f9337ce758d7235920db533d282f5c
Kernel Source Here
All credit goes to franciscofranco and ak

Changelog:
9/15/14 v1.1
1. Modified and included ondemand governor from ak kernel
2. Added smartmax governor from ak kernel
9/15/14 v1.0
1. Initial release
2. Reverted back to r16 of franco kernel
3. Merged latest touch panel firmware
4. Kept original color control

h0tcakez_kernel_OPO-v1.0.zip md5sum=3d1f3832c9d06249b461e7ef5ca25fd2

Second. About to try it now!!
Could you post some kernel settings you recommend for smoothness/performance, and battery?
*Edit* Running pretty good on LiquidSmooth (9/13) so far!!
If you could, add fastcharge to the next build.

Fourth post!! Yay, I didn't even get a ribbon.

A bit more information on whats different from franco-kernel would be great

Link to the source is in the OP you can check my commits to his and you will see there isn't much difference. I rolled it back to R16 before color control was non functional then I cherry picked the touch panel firmware updates. That's it

With liquid smooth I hear nobody on the other end, I don't understand why francos kernels cause this. Speaker phone works but turn it off and I get no volume.

I'm running latest liquid smooth myself with this kernel and not having that issue at all. Never had it with franco kernel.
May be a modem issue?
Modem Thread Link

Thanks for the quick response I just flashed the latest modem but my problem persists. I wonder what else could be the issue it only happens with liquid and Franco when Franco seems to run fine for other users lol... It couldn't possibly be theme related would it? Would I flash the latest cm11s radio or the cm11 m9 one?
Figured it out works great now ty for the kernel much appreciated! Love having the colors back.

What was the issue in case someone else runs across it?

After flashing kernel on cm-11-20140914-NIGHTLY-bacon phone reboots and I get: Unfortunately the process com.android phone has stoped
Any ideas?

Flashed with recommended TWRP, full wipe including system, and WiFi won't work. Which is not a rom issue. I don't know what's going but I think my EFS is borked, time to flash my backup and check.
The best 4.4 ROM out there super smooth no lag compared to others that i have tried. Just wish it had a little more tweak options but that will come in time.
Awesome work.

So I finally updated my old kernel sources, originally from chadouming by way of haze028. This is a mako based CM kernel, with lots of cherry-picks from xboxfanj's matr1x and glitch.
Built with the linaro 02/14 4.8 toolchain, and I'll be including it in an unofficial CM-11.0 M4 that I'll post in the other development subforum later tonight or tomorrow. It's smooth.
Please don't flash on non-CM based ROMs
I'm not responsible if this bricks your phone, eats your kids, or steals your wife.
FEATURES:
Low cpu frequencies
Wheatley governor default
SIO scheduler default
MSM_SLEEPER: limits max frequency to 364 MHz with screen off
Kernel mode NEON
a lot of optimizations... look at the commits on github if you're curious!

Thanks for the new kernel works great with PAC ROM. 2 bugs I found 1. The volume buttons are reversed. Second when flashed it in cwm got error 7 but it still flashed. I will continues to test.

Volume button key is easy, using a root file manager go into system/usr/keylayout/keypad_8064.kl, and swap the top two values:
key 115 VOLUME_DOWN WAKE
key 114 VOLUME_UP WAKE
It's a known issue with the LED patch I'm using, and it's fixed in my CM ROM. The error 7 is probably just an assert issue... Could you keep an eye on wakelocks, I think it's a 4.4 issue but I'm going to ask if people are seeing a wakelock with mediaserver or audiomix. I've seen a bunch of threads on XDA which makes me think it's not my kernel...
Ok will do thanks I fixed they keys.

Sorry, I should have explained better. It's a geeb kernel, so it'll work on PAC, Mahdi, a few others. For official cm you need gproj. I've got a gproj kernel too.

Will this work on At&t model ? I went ahead and flashed it already but it doesn't look like it worked its booted but it's stuck at a black screen.

This kernel has the cm video commits, and I'm not sure it'll work on PAC. Also official cm for e970 uses gproj so that's a no go

Thanks to the entire Slim team. Couldn't do any of this without them!
Also, thanks goes to @gtctsiamp for making me an OP. I was too lazy to do it lol. Thanks!!!
A couple of users that know that I build for Flo have been asking me for a DEB build, so here it is.
Thanks
Flashed with PA Gapps (micro), everything works just like it should. Will take a day or two to see if anything pops up, but so far everything looks fine! Thanks again for this.
Running very smoothly, no problems at all. Excellent battery life so far.

You cab use any AOSP based kernel that you want. I don't mean to sound cocky at all, just letting you know, I think that I have put together a pretty killer kernel packaged with this ROM. Great battery life, & great performance, & all of the tuneables you could need.

Ok I am confused why are the build dates of all the files JULY but the commits are as new as 10 hours ago?
Anyone seen any performance improvements or other user noticeable improvements over lets say faux or krypton? Just curious looks like way more activity on this kernel

Last and final fix to the links in OP. The downloads are in XDA DevDB downloads section.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=6479#downloads
I messed up the links when copying over from my old XDA thread for another device.
Work on stock rom or CM rom only ?

This kernel is made for the Moto X Style/Pure (xt1575). I have not tested it on the xt1572. If you would like to test it be my guest. This kernel was based off the wok done by AICP and Hashbang173 . I wanted to bring the custom kernel features into a cm based environment. The features brought over were originally done for a stock kernel setting by dirtyhank and his Frankenclark kernel. I have optimized the settings to work with BlissRom. My goal is to provide better battery life surrounded by a stable experience. I will add more features as I go... I planned to just make this the default kernel on BlissRom, but with the overall lack of development for this device and the overwhelming support I got for it. I have decided to offer it as a standalone download as well.
WARNING
I have tested this kernel....With that said. I DO NOT hold any responsibility for what you may do to your device with this product. Also make a proper backup before flashing.
Features of the Kernel
Kernel Version 3.10.95
color control (Kcal)
Underclocking (302mhz)
KSM & UKSM
Voltage readings
Fsync option (on/off)
Touchboost option (on/off)
MultiRom Support
DoubleTap2Wake/Sweet2Wake
Added Govs - ElementalX, Intelliactive, Lionheart, BioShock, BluActive, Wheatley, InteractiveX & Interactive
Bricked Hotplug
Added I/O schedulers (SIO, FIOPS & Zen)
And much more...
To Install
Be on a custom rom (also test with cm base so far)
Download ZIP
Reboot to Recovery (I have only tested on TWRP 3.0)
Flash

Downlad PureBliss Kernel
I currently use Kernel Adiutor for my kernel settings. It had also been tested and works with EX Kernel Manager

Tried on RR 5.6.4 and don't have access to internal storage and sdcard on any file manager i.e. /sdcard, /mnt/sdcard and any other dirs/symlinks at /mnt are empty. Will try now on BlissRom.
But perfomance is awesome compared to stock RR kernel.

Can you please explain the difference between BlissPure kernel and PureBliss kernel(if there is any?)...I've looked around and am still confused. I've downloaded them both and they're the same size just named differently. Either way i've flashed one of them over the maintenance build of Bliss ROM and its running smooth and I'm getting great battery life for first cycle
I think it has just been renamed to roll of the tongue more. I actually suggested it to him lol, as it makes more sense in english to call is pure bliss, than bliss pure. Sorry if my suggestion caused any confusion, that was not my intention. It's a great kernel!
No new posts in a while. Usually kernel threads have tons of posts and questions. Eerily quiet.

Same here... I she the same problem using @hashbang1117's kernal from his latest aicp build (i took the unofficial build and flashed the boot.img in the zip.) and i was unable to access the SD card. I assume this is based off of the kernal made by @HashBang117

The OP is confusing people with nearly duplicate threads:

What is the difference???

It's been discussed in most of them. It was an accident. Everyone is aware of it (well we thought everyone was). If people stop commenting on the other ones, they'd go away.

It's on Resurrection Remix. Use any custom kernels on that ROM and normal user loses access to internal and external sdcards.
Seemed like a permissions problem. Built-in file manager and Gallery could no longer see files, but Root Browser was ok using this kernel on RR. Sorry, I didn't troubleshoot it more thoroughly than that or get any logs.

Thanks. Working fine with CM13 build too.
Running with cm13 build, so far, I am not experiencing delays, phone seems faster,
overnight drain is normal. Haven't had screen on delay when pressing power button yet.
So far, not bad. I'm using Elementalx kernel manager and I don't see any hotplug settings, CPUs hover at 302 most of the time, no deep sleep on any of them. Anyone else have that, or just me? Using the most recent zip with Temasek.
Edit:
Moved to Kernel Adiutor and hotplug is there. Moving on, thank you much!
I am just wondering if dt2w is actually working? I thought I read somewhere that it breaks something but for life of me can't remember
