Ascend Mate 2 China Variant - Official Roms List and Download Links - Huawei Ascend Mate 2

I found this site on my travels with easy download links to all the official roms released for the various Chinese variants of the Ascend Mate 1, Ascend Mate 2 and Ascend Mate 7 with easy download links.
Easier to look through than using Google Translate and going to the Official Chinese Huawei site like I did :
Hope this is useful to someone.
Enjoy !

I'm still trying to figure out why the MT2-L03 has been released since January yet no kernel source has? I have yet to find it in my searches.....

Some time ago i found this
http://www.dlgsm.com/index.php?dir=/FLASH-FILES/HUAWEI/M_series/MT2-L03
But it seems to be a subscription site...
So looks like a dead end :/
Enviado desde mi MT2-L03 HAM2 ... i'm lovin' it

MT2L03 came out in July? The Chinese variants came out in Jan/Feb and our us variants came out in July if I'm not mistaken

Ah I see, you might be correct lol. Nevertheless, I would expect the source to be available by now. Guess a request to them by email may be in order.

Ok, for those of you who do not know, the Official Mate 2 roms for download come in a file called UPDATE.app that you put on an external sd card and flash to your phone to update it.
I have just managed to successfully extract the whole of 4.4.2_r3 KitKat UPDATE.app that I downloaded from Huawei site and that is currently flashed on my phone to my PC so you have access to all files to play around with :

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
The Rom is 1.98gb unpacked, and 1.23gb packed.
I haven't tried yet, but I'm pretty sure I can pack the Rom back up into the Update.app format for flashing.
Would anybody like me to upload the Rom for testing purposes? It will not be uploaded until tomorrow at the earliest as I'm going to be drinking large quantities of Beer in a few hours............
If you do want me to upload, where do people suggest that I host the file? Bearing in mind the File size.

Hi. I have successfully managed to extract the SYSTEM.img from the above 4.4.2 rom. It's about 1.3gb in size.
Maybe one step closer to be able to create Custom Roms ?

MT2-L05 Kernel Source Files download :
http://www.emui.com/nsp/geturl.php?path=MT2-L05_kernel.tar.gz&rid=608

HI. I'm bumping this thread as people keep asking the same questions on where to find roms for Chinese variants of Ascend Mate 2 over and over again.
The link in the Original post contains easy download links to ALL official roms for Ascend Mate 1, Ascend Mate 2 and Ascend Mate 7.
Maybe this topic could be stickied if at all possible to save a lot of repeated questions.
Regards !

it seems Opsson is a very small brand even in China, that means there aren't many roms.
searched a lot, found only 1 custom rom here: http://pan.baidu.com/s/1jG3Kwjc
you can try it yourself.
actually, nobody knows that brand here in China......
thanks a lot let me try.

Outside of forums or blogs is the a better way to check for nougat availability on this phone? Purchased this phone as a gift for Christmas and I'm hoping for an update before it's gifted.

This website shows the most recent updates it's found for Sony devices. Here's the link to the Xperia X Compact, it already shows that Nougat's been released for a couple regions but nothing for the US or UK so far.

Got the notification about the update today. Downloaded the update and installed it, now my phone is in a bootloop. Didn't root or unlocked the bootloader... this is not cool.
How can I access the recovery to hard reset everything? Guess it's the only way now
Power + Vol Up is not working like described here: http://android-recovery.info/2318/recovery/Sony/Xperia+X+Compact

Thanks for this. I purchased a UK model so it's what I'm waiting for. Appreciate the help.
if you follow the link by lenash, xperifirm will always tell you in real time when and how far across country's the update has come.
why wait for others to discover it when you can yourself.

How to change Huawei Mate 10 Lite IMEI

Hello everbody, greetings from Portugal
Could you help me to find a solution to change IMEI of my Huawei Mate 10 Lite? The phone was offered to me by a relative who lives abroad and I don't know why, my carrier says that my current IMEI doesn't work here.. Also I don't like the UI and all the bootlware from HUAWEI and Google. I came from a Moto E 2015 (2nd GEN) which had almost stock Android and that was one of the things I liked more about the phoe. I've never rooted any phone or and/or installed custom ROMs before? I'd like to have stock Orero without all the bootlware. I'm a mac user so the only thing I found was CyanogenMod Installer for Mac. Is that what I should do? Can You help out a rookie?
Have a nice Easter and thank You all in advance!
PEACE.

That's nonsense. Unless it's stolen or reported as lost.
Now, i don't wanna pretend I'm Mr goodie-goodie, because I'm not, but at least i don't make it public. I doubt you'll get help here, to be honest, and let me tell you why: can you imagine all the heat XDA would take if word spread that it's helping put stolen devices back in service?
Just stating MY point of view. I do not speak on behalf of XDA.
And by the way i don't imply you stole it.
Dear Sir

It seems Xiaomi Mi 9T is not getting enough attention, so, this is a fast guide to "port" Redmi K20 Pro ROMs to Mi 9T.
Instructions
Download the ROM you want: https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/development
Uncompress the zip file and you'll see something like this:
Download this file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-Oo2eoeZCGayZ_AaJU903vjJfL4H_Kn4/edit
Replace boot.img, vbmeta.img and updater-script with the 3 downloaded files
Compress the files again and flash it with TWRP
NOTE
Backup your ROM, before flash the new modified one.
NOTE 1
In Settings-> about phone you'll see the device name is Redmi K20 Pro
Screenshots
Right now I'm using Evolution X
Thanks
• boot.img is from the ROM Paranoid Android, all credits go to @33bca
• vbmeta.img is from Google GSI
• @baNzera1 for his ROM Evolution X, I'm using for test and because I like.
-----
-----
Interesting, nice find. Thanks!
How is the Evolution X compared to the early builds for davinci?
Dont you think you should give proper credits for the kernel and vbmeta?
(Its using the files from the first PA beta release. I would appreciate it if you would have asked for permissions or at least let the users know what they are flashing and where its from)

You are right, I'm really sorry pal, since I've made a lot of tests and downloaded lot of files I forgot the boot.img is from your ROM PA.
--------
EDIT
Added credits/thanks to the first post.
Again, I'm sorry
what is the benifits of porting k20 pro rom? i don't get it.
edit: i get it now sorry i didn't read enough. thank you.
Great job!
I was able to boot the rom, do the first setup, but then all I can see is black screen when phone unlocked and AOD when locked.
Made a second attempt with formatting data after flashing the rom. It was better, screen worked for several minutes, then black screen again, only AOD works. Sometimes the black screen comes to a life and works after crazy tapping on it I have had enough of fun with this I think D
Will it work for Miui ROMS also like miroom and others??
So ist it actually working well ? Please share your impressions.
Does the under display FPR work when screen is off?
can you explain more? what about the kernel if i port any rom?
Closed at the OP's request.
Thanks
LTT

I found their official website with a "contact us" section, you can try your luck there (I've not find any firmware btw)

Hi Raiz,
thanks for your reply.
I have already contacted AUN's customer service and technical support twice, but they never replied.
In any case, I think that Aun's Android 9 is not needed, I think any version of android 9 for projectors is enough, but I can't find any online.

Hi,
I wouldn't say that, because your projector and others have different components, hence different ROMs and Kernels.
This company isn't serious at all if they didn't replied, I guess you'll have to stay with Android 6. But whatever you do don't flash another firmware that the one for your specific device, it may brake it!

this is very frustrating because it is an excellent projector, unlike many others of this segment.
it is a real shame not to be able to upgrade it, especially because on many e-commerce sites they advertise it as upgradeable by the manufacturer, (see attached image) but on the manufacturer's website there is no area where there are updates, drivers or firmware, and they not respond to requests for assistance.
Many thanks Raiz
