How to reduce overheating in Galaxy SII? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a problem...
I usually use the Galaxy SII to route internet.
But sometimes it overheats and then restarts and paralyzes in the "Galaxy SII" screen.
The only way to reverse this is to install the recovery again.
Then I restart the device, but another problem arises: I can not access the settings.
When I click on settings, the option open, but when I click on any item of settings, settings closes abruptly.
So the only way to recover the system is to reinstall the rom again ...
I took some measures to prevent overheating:
I limited the CPU clock to 800 Mhz.
I use the power saving mode.
Backlighting always in minimum.
And I leave the device without the back cover and I use Greenify to hibernate a lot of apps.
I also do not play games on the device while I'm routing the cell, by the way, I leave to play on my tablet.
Things I can not miss:
- Disable the router
- Disconnect it from the outlet. I do it only sometimes, because when I do this then the battery runs out fast and I get no internet.
Anyway, I would like tips on how to reduce device's overheating and the measures I've ever take to prevent this.
I use the rom Revolution UX 2 Build 2014.

Hmm that's weird, my phone won't get that hot when being hotspot.
You can try disabling mobile internet while doing it.
I don't know what else could be the problem as u already using stuff like greenify etc.
I'm not a technical expert but I think limiting CPU speed to 800mhz and setting battery mode leads to exhaustion to your phone even more cause you are limiting its resources and thus it has to try to manage this job with too less power.
You could try to do the exact opposite and overclock to 1,4 ghz and disable battery mode.
Also screen can be turned of meanwhile I think?
If things won't help I'd think about flashing a new rom.
Hope I got the term routing the internet right

Hi!
I can't disable data connection... It's for this that I use hotspost... To transfer data connection (3G) from my mobile to PC and my tablet.
About to do overlock... Hmmm, my kernel is incompatible with this... And I don't think it will help...
Disable battery mode? Will try... But... This only change the color of screen, disable vibration and some system sounds...
And the "rotate screen" it's also disabled...

Ah alright now I get it.
Well I'm not sure, i just can tell I'm not having such problems.
I'd suggest u flash dorimanx kernel so u have more options to play around with. There also is a tweak called pure performances X (Zeno edition for galaxy s2) which is making your phone a lot faster and is said to eventually strengthen the signal and thus reduce battery drainage.

[Q] [HOWTO] How to save battery life ?

Hi, I have just bought a GS2 and first impression, except battery life, is this device is awesome !
So, I have search and found some tips to save baterry life.
They is 2 goods apps which call :
* JuiceDefender Ultimate
* Auto Apps Kill
Juice Defender Ultimate could be configurate to do anything for you, for example if you shutdown your screen it could cut off 3G and WIFI automatically, and reactivate it gently sometime.
The best conf I have made is to activate WIFI only on some area I know I can connect ! So when I'm at home he shutdown my 3G, activate my Wifi, and if he can't do that he switch back to 3G. He will learn your Wifi position and activate it automatically.
So you don't need to care turn off wifi, gps ou 3g, he do everything for you !
The ultimate (which cost a little), allow you to handle everything, lesser version don't have this tweak.
Auto Apps Killer, is a apps that automatically kill apps you don't need when screen if turn off,
So you don't need to shutdown manually apps, he do the think for you.
Of course you can ignore some apps, and they is a default ignore list that prevent shuting down widget and main apps that maintain your phone as good as if nothing was killing.
So with this both, my baterry has almost double, I can use it a day long.
But, it seems they is more thing todo when you are rooted.
My question is, does anybody has installed the rooted roms that allow you to change you CPU frequency automatically.
Is they any gain you can have by downscale your CPU when power isn't need.
I know CPU is set to 1200 mhz, and I think it doesn't go down or high. With a rooted version I could make it slow to 800 mhz or less in sleeping mode, and up to 1500 when I use it hard.
With this I should have some extra power, and extra battery, and not worry to go to my work and get back home without any battery at the end of the day.
Does anybody has experience this ?
Umm yes, all stock android phones keep CPU low when idle and then increase CPU when you use it. Just install system panel and see. Root is not needed for this, it is stock function.
Oh I see it vary from 200 mhz to 1200 mhz
I let my phone all night (8 hour), full of charge. When I wake up and check, my battery was a 72 % !!!
my iPhone was at 92%, it seems to drop too many cpu
I have stock crap from my operator that ofen run, rooted could help me to remove this.
I have install System Panel to check what tools use my baterry like this.
I have disactivate push, and lock once per hour the connection with Juice Defender, but battery drain without any usage,
it should be less no ?
Yes it should be less. Other people leave their galaxy s2 over night for 8 hours and only lose 5%. So something is wrong with your setup.
My battery life has been fantastic. Best on any android phone i've owned. I'm just rooted with a few things frozen.

Yeah I know, it's would be a dream to save a lot of battery when it is suppose to be idle.
I can't remove crap apps from Bouygues and Samsung, so here my setting :
I have widget on :
AccuWeather,
Google Adsense,
Google Analytics,
Battery Monitor Widget,
I have tools on :
Juice Defender (which stop connection on night!)
AutoApps killer (one kill per hour)
SystemPanel (to know what use my cpu like this)
My Wifi is on for any data and not my 3G data,
JuiceDefender keep it like this when I'm at home
And everytime I look my lock screen, all data is off,
Once per hour it pull it on (and not during the night), fetch data and shut it down again.
In social hub I have :
Windows Live Messenger (but should be on only when I open it no ? any monitor don't tell me that it is the problem)
And 2 Microsoft Exange Account with Email, Calendar and Contact sync
Both account is sync once per 15 min the day, and once per hour the night
And I have twitter, facebook apps which sync sometime their data
It seems calendar in Exchange sync more often, that the over, not so sure
I know this seems a lot but it also a normal usage,
Any advice ?
I've got my SGS2 to a usage of 1-1.5% a hour in standby and 16% a hour when I do normal stuff, so no games.
I've done this with Agelom's Rom with Juice Defender Ultimate, Screenfilter and AdFree Android.
I set pulls to every 1 hour which is managed by Juice Defender, GPS off and Laditude(this kept my sgs2 awake) off.

You can also try green power free from the market, its free and can turn off mobile data unlike the free version of juice defender.
I have just disconnect latitude. I will check if battery is better.
Thanks a lot for your tips.
Next step install windows.
Install kies
Odin
Rooted
And remove all bouygues crap apps that crash all the time !

The best way to save a lot of battery is to use SetCPU and lock speed at max 500mhz when screen is off. If you lock at 200mhz after a while you have to hard reboot because the phone don't want to wake up.

I don't think SetCPU has any good effect on battery for GS II. When the screen is Off, and I guess the CPU isn't doing anything, then it will automatically run at 500 MHz or below. So there is no need to set the clock rate. I purchased the app, used it for two days at Ondemand preset, and the battery seems decreasing fast than in normal, which is weird, very weird. May be I yet to find the right setting of the appl, but till now it's not working for me and I have disabled it.
Regards.
Oh I think he has. In my case I often listen music with bluetooth. The cpu want to go above the 500mhz. So the limitation is useful. In the case I do nothing, yes it doesn't change anything.

[Q] About Android....

Guys, don't ask me to search again... i really did... and didn't found any answer....
i am new on android.... and it's regarding the battery's life time...
i hope someone give me an answer here....
there're a lot android user saying about advanced task manager, juicedefender, v6 supercharger, cell standby, phone idle.... anyway... i got no answer at all....
few people using ATaskMan and improve their battery life, but few people said it just drain my battery... anyway...i don't see any improvement using that....
i used juice defender to keep the connectivity.... better than keep it all the time...
didn't see any improvement also....
i used setCpu too... keep it low at night.... i don't really know if it works....
all i want is keeping the data on as long as possible.... even on sleep.... to keep apps like viber, whatsapp, im+ and sometime to sync the apps like weather, facebook, twitter and email...
weather, facebook, twitter and email... these apps were set to manual... not automatic....
i don't call and messaging a lot.... just stay on in internet...
i don't play games a lot... maybe few minutes....
so my questions here...
1. did the apps on background really drain up the battery? because they are, who using v6 supercharger didn't have a problem with battery.... and it's not like ATaskMan... it's didn't kill the apps at all.... just manage the background apps...
2. did the widget also drain the battery? some people said so....
3. keep the data on all the time? i read in this forum... they keep their data on.... but, still having their phone more than a day... moveover... some guys get it over 2 till 4 days...
if it's about ROM, it should be same with other, who uses the same ROM...
and if it's about hardware... it should be from the first time i bought this phone....
i just want keep my phone as long as possible with data on.....
anyway.... i still keep tracking what drain my battery the most....
hope someone come with answer for this....
and sorry for my english.....
1. That depends on which apps are running in the background, but when your device is in standby it should go to "sleep", but if you've set some apps to update every 15 minutes, the phone will wake up (without turning the screen on of course) to update them. This will naturally use some battery. And remember that Android can handle all processes itself. You don't need to kill them yourself. That will actually decrease batterylife since the phone has to start the apps again everytime you kill them. A task manager is nice to have if an app is going rogue.
2. Widgets do use battery, and the widgets who are set to automatically update itself uses more battery (Facebook, Twitter, Weather etc.)
3. "This tip is one that seems counter-intuitive, but you can save a lot of wear and tear on your Android phone's battery if you tell it to keep the Wifi radio turned on and connected while the phone is sleeping. Your phone needs a lot of juice to keep pinging those cell towers, and even more to transmit data to and from them. Wifi radios use much less power because of their design, and they don't have to keep searching for a better access point. It's the way cellular data communication was designed, and it's a necessary evil.
But what if you're spending all day (or all evening) in one place, connected to Wifi? If you tell your phone to shut off Wifi when idle, it bounces back to cellular data (be it 2G, 3G, or 4G) and starts sucking down the electrons again when the screen shuts off. That's no good, and easy to fix:
Open the advanced Wifi settings by pressing the menu button, then Settings, Wireless & networks, Wi-Fi settings, and tapping the menu button again. You'll have a choice to either Scan, or go Advanced -- go Advanced.
Tap the Wi-Fi sleep policy entry, and you'll get a pop up dialog with the choices you see in the picture above. Choose Never.
Now even when your phone goes into standby mode, you'll stay connected to Wifi and be able to get mail and messages without turning the cell radio back on and trouncing your battery life. And for the times when you're not in an area with a Wifi connection, just shut Wifi off, either through the menu or with a handy toggle widget. Your battery will thank you for it."

The android OS has a built in task manger so using ATK or ATM is actually worse than if you don't.
But honestly rooting has made all of the difference. If you have time for it READ about what it means to root and the how-to's, youtube instrutional videos, etc.... just get your feet wet a lil bit. When/if you feel like it is something that you might be interested in, go ahead and do it. You wont regret it and you will diffidently be able to improve battery life with titanium backup which allows you to freeze apps that you dont need running.
Warning 1) you might become addicted to flashing ROMS... and 2) if you screw up your phone you can't blame anyone but yourself.

at least for my phone: regarding setcpu, you can raise the minimum frequency, increasing performance while hardly affecting battery life (at stock i had 245/600; now i have 480/600). turns out that if you set the minimum frequency low, it will take some juice to ramp the cpu back up
just a little tip
Just wanted to add: besides titanium backup, I'd also recommend gemini app manager and better battery stats. You can use gemini to edit an app's autorun permissions (ie, automatically starting at boot) for those apps you don't, can't or shouldn't uninstall/freeze. If you're having issues with your phone not sleeping better battery stats will help you identify what's keeping your phone awake.
Lastly, there is only so much you can do to optimize your battery life. In the end you're going to have to sacrifice some functionality for better battery life or vice versa. You just need to find the right balance you can live with.
What is the longest running time did you had on your phone? I reckon batteries are getting thinner and thinner and will not last long.
Apps are there to help you avoid manual work. If you switch of automation on all the apps then you will have to spent time and do it all manually and on the other hand how much life will you save lets say %15. Not worth it!
Best solution is to stick your handset to the charger while you are going to sleep!

[Q][View] Battery/Screen Question

Hello, everybody. Newb here (only have had the HTC Evo View 4G for a couple of days now). I have a question about the battery and screen. Is it regular for the screen to use up about ~60 percent of the battery? (According the usage stats). I find that the screen is bright, even on the lowest setting.
Also, I have a question about the battery. It seems to be draining a little quick (I am using lowest brightness and WiFi only). Could some people share how long their battery usually lasts for regular usage? I don't think it's a hardware issue. Like I've said, I've only had it for 2 days, so I don't know if I still need to wait a little.
Thanks!
The screen is one of the biggest battery drainers (if not the biggest) on tablets. So if you are using the tablet a lot, and the screen is on for long periods of time, then 60% seems normal. I don't have my Flyer with me right now to check what my % for screen is.
Battery drain is going to depend a bunch on how much you are using your View, and for what. With moderate usage, I can get around 2 days on a charge. I'd say that is about average for me. But if you are downloading big files and gaming, and/or have the screen on a lot, it can be significantly less.

Okay, that makes sense. The battery life seems to be getting better. One more question. I want WiFi to turn off after a certain amount of time once the screen timeouts. Is there any way to do this in the settings or with an app? The settings (official 3.2) has a WiFi timeout policy that gives three options:
Switch from WiFi to mobile data when screen is off
Never switch WiFi off
Never switch WiFi off when plugged in
I live in Canada and don't have a plan. Would using the first option drain more battery because it is looking for a connection? Or should I use the third option?
Thanks again.
Hmm, not sure. I have the WiFi only version of the Flyer, and on mine the first choice is just "When screen turns off". The first choice on your View is weird. Mobile data always uses more power than WiFi, if both are available. I don't see why you would ever want that.
BTW, I'm at home and have access to my Flyer now. Battery usage for screen is 52% for me. So I'd say 60% you mentioned is pretty normal.
You should also take into account, unless you've taken steps to turn it off/remove it, Cell standby might also be causing your battery life to take a hit. Since the View is set up to also be able to receive text messages, out of the box it's constantly trying to connect to Sprint's cellular network, even if you have mobile data turned off. This thread discusses ways to deal with it. Cell standby used to be one of the biggest users of my battery. Now, it's no longer a problem and I've seen a major increase in battery life.
As for the WiFi issue, the first choice in the settings actually says "When screen turns off (uses more mobile data)." That doesn't mean that it automatically switches mobile data on if you've turned it off in the settings by selecting that option. It's worded that way because the View is designed to be used on Sprint's network, so under normal circumstances it is assumed that if you turn WiFi off, you'll have a data plan and automatically connect to the mobile data network. If you don't have an account with mobile data from Sprint, and you've turned off mobile data in the settings, it won't be an issue because you have nothing to connect to.

That makes much more sense.
Okay, thanks everybody. I really appreciate it. With heavy usage (basically using it all the time) I'd get about 6 hours and 10 minutes. Is that normal for everybody else?
Also, I have a couple of more questions, if you guys don't mind.
First of all, could rooting my device boost my battery life? Would it give me more access to settings like screen brightness?
And, do apps running in the background use battery life or are they 'frozen' until active? This sort of leads me into my next question. Is having 400-500MB of RAM always being used normal? Is the OS using all of it?
And I notice that when I put my tablet in airplane mode (to kill the 4G radio) I lose access to Bluetooth. Is this normal and will turning off airplane mode for a minute be a battery drain?
Thanks again, guys.

Answers:
Rooting won't necessarily boost battery life, but does give you ways to access more system items if you want using apps that take advantage of root.
Android attempts to keep non-rumming apps in memory so that it can load them faster in the future (Ram is much faster than SD memory). 80% Ram full is typical.
Airplane mode turns off all radios, BT, Wifi, GPS, 3g.
There are apps in the market that can turn various things on / off based on your environment / time / conditions

You don't need root access to adjust screen brightness. Settings -> Screen -> Brightness.

And I notice that when I put my tablet in airplane mode (to kill the 4G radio) I lose access to Bluetooth. Is this normal and will turning off airplane mode for a minute be a battery drain?

Airplane mode turns off all radios initially, but then you can turn almost all of them right back on (except for the cellular radios). I run mine in airplane mode all the time to keep the cellular radio completely inactive, but I still use WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth when I need/want them, and they all work great. Are you running Gingerbread or Honeycomb? I do seem to remember some mentions of not being able to use Bluetooth in airplane mode on Gingerbread. It works perfectly fine on Honeycomb.
And you can turn off the 4G radio and all data service without turning on airplane mode (Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Mobile network). Doing this turns off all radios that receive data from the cellular network, but it doesn't turn all cellular functions off since the View is also set up to receive text messages. That's what airplane mode or any of these options address.
What I meant by adjusting the screen brightness was being able to control its range more than I can right now (I feel that even the lowest setting can be too much). But it seems that rooting/installing a custom ROM wouldn't do too much for the battery.
But my issue with airplane mode is that I can't turn on Bluetooth with it (Bluetooth is 'grayed out'). I am running official Honeycomb.

Did you try tapping on the box for Bluetooth in the settings even though it looks like you can't, and did you try using a widget to turn it on? I'm using stock OTA Honeycomb, and Bluetooth works perfectly fine for me while in airplane mode. I can turn it on in the settings (the box does look a little "grayed out," but you can still select it) or via a homescreen widget. If you can't turn it on with either of those, then it would seem that you've got some other type of problem. It works fine for me. I just tested it out again.

I just tried it. It seems to not be working for me, but it doesn't seem like a glitch but something built into the OS (I tried with a widget and it did a little 'no' animation). It's alright, I rarely use Bluetooth anyway.
Thanks for all of your help (plus everybody else, too)!

I'd venture to say it's not something built into the OS. If it is built into the OS, then there's a glitch that allows me to use it under the same circumstances, and glitches rarely enable functionality. They almost always cause a device to lose functionality like you're experiencing. I'd be curious to know if anyone else is having the same issue you're having.
Last time I have ran battery test on my Flyer I ran it for almost 11 days on one charge. Yeap, 11 days. I mostly used Flyer as a notepad, checked orders on website couple of times a day, read emails. One day I played a game for about 20 minutes. At the end I set up and tested Plex and Google Music. I stopped the test at 11% charge. Overall screen was on for a bit over 4 hours (40%). Wi-fi on for 16 hours (only 4% ??) according to stats. That's pretty much it. Tablet idle 43%. Fairly light usage, but I mostly was testing how much of useable time I can get out of it. 11 days is a pleasing result.

[Q] High consumption of battery

Hello
My Razr Xt910 batteries consumption is high
For example i'm in bed for 7 hours , It consumes 20%!
Idle consumption is too high
i'm using 2G
wifi and... is off
I close all programs
changed ROM
and .....
But this problem exists
In your opinion, why is this problem?
May be a hardware problem?
Sorry for bad English
Thanks
There's an app called Watchdog Task Manager that can monitor your apps and phone processes. That might be able to help you pin point if you've got a rogue app.
My girlfriend had to swap out her first Razr for a similar problem. Her phone would not last her an entire day with very light use. Using Watchdog Task Manager I was able to find that the suspend process was hanging and causing the battery to drain very rapidly.

I installed the program but did not notice anything
Who can help me?

If you were rooted you may get rid of some apps. Like if you dont use backup asst.
It always runs in the back round. I talked to a rep the other day that said just force stop it. I said duh but it will re start itself. Make a list of what you see is running in the back round and and we can figure what program it is to see if we can freeze or get rid of it. Ahh I see you tried different Roms. You can use and app like NoBloat freeze. What Rom did you use? There is more information we need and can go from there.
Edit: How to use , go to system ,apps and look at running. Do you have email setup? How often is that set to refresh for email. So many things to look at.
Install Watchdog and agree to the license.
Set the default monitor to aggressive using the pulldown menu.
Hit the menu button on you phone and go to preferences.
Click "CPU threshold" and set it to 20%.
Click "Polling interval" and set it to 1 minute.
Click "Real time polling interval" and set it to 5 seconds.
Where it says "Include phone processes" make sure that is checked.
Click and check mark "Monitor phone processes" and "Display all phone processes"
Click on "System process CPU threshold" and set it to 40%
Now Watchdog will monitor all your apps and processes and will alert you if anything is going over the thresholds you have set. You can see what the culprit is under the alerts tab in the main menu.
Also, by going into the CPU tab on the app main menu, if you check "real time CPU" you can monitor your CPU usage in real time yourself. Anything in cyan is a background app/process, white is for system processes, and green is for apps/processes in the foreground.
I still use this app quite a bit especially if I install a few new apps, although I run it with the CPU polling interval at 10 minutes and the System process CPU threshold at 50% in my everyday usage to minimize CPU usage.
The suspend process that was giving my girlfriend problems on her phone can be seen while in the CPU tab if you check "real time CPU." I believe it will pop up after your phone is unlocked but should afterward stop and not consume any CPU. On my girlfriend's old phone this would not be the case. The suspend process would hang and constantly alert through Watchdog that it was exceeding the percentage threshold.
I'm not sure if this will be of any help and I apologize if it does not but it did help me. Good luck.

ok
About 20 hours
and phone idle consumption is high
Watchdog alert:
suspend
Linux Process
43.4%
What's this?
What should I do?
You should use SetCPU and underclock your CPU so it runs slower but provides better battery life.
Switch the governor to the regular hotplug instead of mot_hotplug and under advanced change the sampling rate to 30000, up threshold to 95, down threshold to 50. Also in profiles set up profiles for various circumstances so if you're sleeping, you can make it so that if the screen is off you're limited to 300/600 mhz and so on.
I was using the ondemand governor earlier and then I stumbled upon some descriptions of them where they explained hotplug as being very similar to ondemand but having the capability to switch off the second core if there is not enough workload which I believe ondemand doesn't allow you to do.
Yesterday, I was at 65% battery left after 9 1/2 hrs of mild usage (2 phonecalls, 100 sms, bit of im'ing, light browsing and a couple of emails). Had the profile set so that it would limit clock at 600mhz when my battery is under 90% and at 800mhz when its above 90%.

Try the app juicedefender and see if that helps? a longshot but maybe its worth.
20 hours out of your phone but is that moderate usage? Forget about idle time. Do you not get regular usage out of your phone?
i have a Moto razr my own , and never noticed how much the battery would last.
of course it won't concern me much , cause i already prepared my self for a lousy battery back up with a 4.3 inch display and dual core cpu!!
i got your back on this whole messed up battery fiesta thing buddy ,
i'm gonna charge my razr up , and see how it's battery gonna react , if it's as bad as your device , chances are , it's a pretty common problem on every xt910 units , and you don't need to be worry about a thing.

Have a look on this guide ( the last post) http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-razr/182391-random-apps-running-help.html

after reading a few tips on the forums, I did the following:
1. installed SetCPU (paid) and made a custom "profile" that, when I turn the screen off, it reduces the CPU activity to the minimum (300)
2. I installed an app called "2x battery" (free) which will kill my data when the screen is off... I have it set up to where it will briefly enable my data connection every 15 min. to check for emails/texts, etc., and I also have it set up to where, if I have an active data connection (i.e. pandora) then it will not disable the data during that period.
3. With the 2x battery it also doubles as a manual task killer... or you can also install "memory booster" (lite = free)
4. set my wallpaper background to black
with these things I have really noticed an increase in battery power... try them and see what you think!

oh yeah, after you are at 100% on your battery and have unplugged it and plugged it back in a couple times and it still stays at 100, then reboot into recovery (while still plugged in) - go to advanced - wipe battery stats - reboot - unplug and run battery all the way down till it dies - charge up without unplugging. see if that helps, it will re-condition your battery.

android tablets and notifications

now this may be a dumb question since i don't consider myself new to android, i've changed three android tablets so far, rooted my phone, installed and tweaked dozen of roms on it, so i know some relativelly average things about android, but this one puzzles me:
on both my tablet and phone i have facebook and gmail applications. they are basically the same .apks since i have a backup of them on a sd card and if i format one device, i often use restire the apps from the sd card.
and you know how you get an instant notification on your phone if you receive a fb message or an e-mail? that doesn't happen on my tablet. it seems that a couple of minutes after i turn off the display on my tablet, it drops the wifi connection (a power save thing i suppose).
is there any way to ensure a constant wifi connection on my tablet so that i receive email/fb notifications in real time and just not after i turn the display on?
this may be only an unchecked box in my network settings, but i really haven't noticed it
thanks for your help on advance

Go to Settings > Wireless & network settings > Press Menu > Advanced, and change Wi-Fi sleep policy to Never (or Never when plugged in, to avoid drain your battery)
thank you! i'll try to keep it turned on constantly, and see what the battery drain will be
Sent from my PMP5570C using Tapatalk HD
noup... i gave up after a few days... the battery drain is too big... even when it's pluged in, the charging process takes a lot since i'm almost constantly using it, in such a case, it almost doesn't charge

Have u tried using tasker?
U can use that app to like turn on Wi-Fi every half hour for a minute or so to check for notifications, and then turn off.
All automated
no, but that's an excellent idea! thank you for the suggestion! will install it and give it a try
Sent from my PMP5570C using Tapatalk HD
hey... i need help with tasker... i seem to have programmed it to connect to wifi every 30 minutes, to check facebook, gmail and tapatalk, and the profile is on, according to on/off switch in tasker itself. but when i check notification icon, it says "no active" profiles.
also, i would like to write you how my profile looks like, but i don't know how i realize that tasker is a powerful app, with a lot of options, but they seem so complicated when trying to adjust them. :/
Sent from my PMP5570C using Tapatalk HD
Hmm...first try installing tasker as a system app and see if that fixes it. Also check accessibility settings as it may be listed there.
If the above doesn't work then it may be a problem with your profile.

well the problem with your first solution is that my tablet isn't roited so i can't install tasker in system/app, the other is that it might be a problem with my profile, but i realy don't know how to set it up... i mean, i tried, and i think it's good, but it doesn't have to be good. that's why i needed help in the first place
