I bought a few weeks ago a Star i6, basically a chinese android phone with quad core MTK6582 processor and Kit Kat version of the OS. If you follow this kind of devices, you should know that it's a pain in the ass to root.
Still I gave it a go using the only method that people claim it actually works (the one with the scatter file) but something went wrong in the process, either when extracting the file or when transfering the modified one back on the device. As a result the device is stuck at the boot screen, showing the logo and restarting after a few again.
Now if it was my old device (an Xperia Play which still goes strong I might add), I wouldn't be worried but so far this device was just a pain in the ass. Does anyone know how to unstuck the device, or am I stuck now with a brand new brick? I can access the recovery mode of the device but cleaning the cache and doing a factory reset didn't do anything.
Supposedly I can install an update through this menu, but I'm not sure what files I should use.

Hi Guys! I usually lurk around here, but now I really need some help.
Basically I have a Rebranded Chinese Tablet called "Tabulet Mech" and it's a redesign of a M701 tablet.
With a bit confidence of rom flashing, I tried flash a rom from a forum which talks about this type of tablet. With careful action I tried flash the rom using FWDN, and miserably failed T.T
while flashing on FWDN I used "Low format whole memory before download", so I guess the FWDN is formatting the whole tablet.
I dunno if I did something bad while flashing it, but since I didn't see any Recovery Mode available for the tablet, I can't exactly recover my tablet at all.
And now, I don't know if my tablet is already turned off or not, since the tablet is still heated up, and when I plug my USB on it, my PC still detect it (even my Moborobo), but since there's nothing on the screen, well you know I can't figure what's happening.
So my question is, is there any way I can install any rom to just make the tablet back working again?

I would kindly ask someone for assistance how to repair the Amlogic 8726-MX based TV box which is stuck on the boot.
Origin of the problem starts when I rushed to change DPI settings with one application from Play Store and failed to boot after restart. Boot was stuck at endless loop of Android logo with vertical yellow bars due to wrong DPI/ resolution settings. After I tried to make the reset of the system (Safe mode through button reset) and which failed, I tried to prepare and boot from SD Card with some ROMs I found online for very similar model with same chipset, and I am stuck at brand (Corto) logo after the Amlogic logo is displayed. I can not enter recovery mode when following instructions. This model has dedicated reset button, so the "toothpick" method is not needed here. However holding it 5-10 seconds during the boot, does not start the recovery in my case, so I am not sure if:
a) Recovery is damaged?
b) I didn't prepare the SD card in correct way? (I used DD + u_boot.bin)
c) My SD card does not contain correct version of files so it does not start recovery?
I assume I would need to identify the exact model of the board, quite similar to generic 8726-MX player, but board layout is little bit different. Product is sold under brand Corto, model AMPC-200, and it seems to be the same as model CM-Q7 by Coltech Cynmate. Production date is September of 2013. On board there is sign B6_V1.1. Images attached.
I am even considering to buy second unit, if it would be possible to extract recovery from new unit and fix the old one.
I would be thankful if anyone could suggest some solution.

Device see a lot of AP, but can't connect with my router at all. I'll tryed to changed encryption (WEP/ WPA/ WPA2) and nothing changes. My router is wrt54gh. Maybe devices can't connect cos this router have only G standart?

You need to go to the freaktab site, find the device, download the gbox midnight rom, sd flash tool. Use the tool on pc to flash the sd, put the sd in the box, keep the reset button pressed, its accessed via the rear of the device with maybe a cocktail stick if you dont know, then connect power keeping the reset pressed till recovery appears. Apply update on sd card, reboot. Everything you need for this box, roms, how to s etc, even cwm are on freaktab. The gbox rom, flashed correctly fixes bricked devices. Mine included. Hope this helps, it should do.

t, I have Amlogic 8726 mx v1.1 tv box that has become stuck on the android logo after I attempted to install an update for the MX2 thinking it was the same thing, how wrong I was. Does anyone still have the V1.1 image available, every link to the V1.1 image have all been taken down.

So I bought a cheap 9" tablet off eBay for use as an electronic billboard outside my dorm room door (cool, huh?)
I've been trying to root it for a long time so I could disable the touch screen/buttons on the device. I don't want people powering it off or something weird. I tried a bunch of different rooting methods to no prevail and eventually decided to try installing a custom recovery image using fast boot. Well, I definitely screwed something up as now the tablet just keeps rebooting as shown in the gif below.

The screen will turn on and off and it seems to do it too quickly to be recognized by fast boot.
Should I paint a target on the back and practice my aim or is there any hope here?

I figured it out! For anyone who has a problem in the future, I'll tell you how I did it.
Get PhoenixCard, it allows you to reinstall firmware through a micro sd card.

Then, get the iRulu firmware from the iRulu website. I checked the sticker on the back of my tablet and my model is like an x1924 (first part of whatever that code is.) I downloaded the "X1921 X1922 X1931 X1932 Firmware_YHK" firmware as it was the closest one. There should be instructions on how to use the PhoenixCard software to reinstall your firmware, but I found that I had to remove the card and try burning again if it failed to burn. It'll say "error" at the end if it failed.
Then I tried plugging in the card and booting the tablet a couple of times until a loading bar appeared on the screen. Wait patiently, and eventually it will turn off again. Remove the card and boot up and you're good!

I also have an IRULU x9 (boot screen says expro x1) I have a serial # jx944wf1507061e. I found the firmware on the Irulu site as firmware for JX944 & JX945 HERE

I rooted my tablet but it is stuck in factory reset boot loop. If there is a power cycle i lose all programs installed and the tablet goes back to factory settings out of the box state. However, I still have root and superuser (Kingoroot) installed.
I will try flashing it with phoenixcard and with the factory firmware and post if it fixed it.
***update** Flashed the firmware with Phoenixcard, used JX944 firmware and it is back to factory specs working as it did when it was stock.

Hello, i am new here and i came in here for help.
It all started when i blindly flashed twrp v2.6.0.0 on my tablet, and now i regret that i have done that.
The problem is that it is stuck in a bootloader boot loop and the screen does not work at all when i am at the menu. The os is gone and i can't even go into download mode because the tablet does not have physical volume buttons.
The tablet is an estar mid 7818 mini (rebranded onda v818 mini).
Is there anything i can do? This is my last resort since i am tired of trying to find a solution to this rare problem.

The os is not gone, as it seems that the thing still has the default battery charging screen while being off, but it don't know anymore. I am no stranger to rooting and flashing, but that was mainly done on Samsung phones, which have much better support than some random chinese tablets.
I still need help, though :^(

I actually fixed it! So this is what i did:
1. found a thread on a different forumsuggesting that i should use iroot to download the drivers (because the device was not recognised by any software);
2. rommaster was installed with me not even knowing;
3. I pressed some buttons and the tablet rebooted to android (the ui was in chinese)'
And with my blind luck - i somehow fixed it.
Hopefully i will not end up in this mess again.

First to all: Hi, im kinda new on Xda and also im new on this phone stuff, but i have i problem i dont know what to do now without going to a shop to fix it.
My problem is this: 2 months ago i got a new phone with 512 ram, it was soo slow but with a good proccesor, i could not use The ram expander because a license issue so i start to root it.
I was experienced before with this.
I tried to root it with many apps... none of them worked, until i found magisk manager, then i found another problem, the stock rom of my phone its not aanywhere, and where is it, its a password protected Zip.
I thing it was over to me, but then i discover an app called "Miracle Box", after 1 week of research of how to do a backup of my rom i finally could do it, i could root it and everything was fine. (By the way thanks to the creators of MagisK)
Then i discover than those Phones came with a malware, my mom has another phone 1Gb ram version and has the same malware.
I discover the malware is inside System ui, or is camuflated like that.
I look it with game guardian, on the proccess list, appear system ui apk, and system ui (assis) when i close by force the system ui apk, Graphic interface reload, but when i kill system ui (Assis) the virus stops inmediatly.
The malware is something called Game Box, popups with ads, weird notificacions, and i discover it uses a lot of internet, A lot.
My plan was of 2Gb, the malware uses 1Gb, when you have no internet the malware is open ut with no ads and notifications.
I discover cleaning data of system ui with lucky patcher and force detention stops the malware for a while.
Then i dont remember what did i do, but one day the phone boot and theres a black screen. No Nova Launcher, no system ui, there were nothing.
So i tried to write the system with miracle box, and after discover always i have to click preloader i finally unbrick it.
Now i have another problem, i tried to Odex system ui with lucky patcher, and there was not classes.dex and because of that the process got stop, and system ui started to stop too.
later on stock recovery of system (Yes, Mtk Droid tools dont recognize my phone, if i have cwm none of this happens.) i realize system ui.odex got deleted, and i am on another Country.
And my dad dont know how to send it because he think miracle box has a trojan because its a paid program.
So my backup its on another Country... and my phone its bricked on a black screen with a message "Unfortunely because you are stupid, system ui stopped and u have a nice brick", i tried to factory reset and that was my worst mistake.
Later i discover miracle box has an option to delete viruses on system folders, so i delete system ui.apk and the phone finally got unstock of that black screen, and it was factory, tere was another problem.
I deleted a lot of apps (most of google) and the phone just says:
Just a sec. And i can pass there, if i dont factory reset maybe i could have a phone without system.ui while my dad comes here.
Then i started for search again for a Twrp reccovery for my phone, and i found 5.
I flash it everyone but none of them worked, and then phone cloud start, but the recovery does not work, then i found a recovery maded to flash on miracle box.
It says Twrp 3.02 for Lava iris, so i tried to flash it with my preloader and my scatter file, it dont work, then i tried to flash it with the scatter and preloader on the folder, and my phone got on a Hard brick.
It dont boot, dont start on recovery, dont charge the battery, is dead, but i think im not ****ed up.
When i connect my phone to computer and press the boot key and then connect the usb cable, the computer recognize it, miracle box does not, but the computer recognize it as a android modem and i think its my last hope, look:

If i change the driver to Mtk Usb device (which is the only compatible) first i have to press the boot key long time (20 secs)
And the computer says the usb is not recognized because the firmware do not gave the requerided resources.
If i keep pressing the boot key the phone started to be recognized for 10 seconds and then its like disconnected, i stop pressing boot key and every 10 seconds the phone (MTK USB DEVICE) appears, if i start writing the flash on miracle box it stops disappearing every 10 seconds and the miracle box start downloading boot, the the app hangs and says this boot its not suported or cpu bad, select another boot, and i dont know what to do, if i manually change the driver again to preloader or mediatek usb, miracle says: Connecting to phone and dont happpens anything.
So these are my problems, because if i get the healthy backup of the phone when my dad comes here, or if i finally get the stock rom, how i flash it?
Another question: if i get official Stock rom, it does not matter if my phone is 512 ram? Because i realize the 1Gb version is same phone, the only diferences i look its the boot animation its a little different and hspa frequency are different, also the other has 1gb ram, its that a problem?
Sorry if my message was too long, but i really need help, im 15 years old, and if my dad look that i dont know how to flash it with my backup... you understand, i dont want to disappoint him, and dont want he to pay a technician.
If you have the Stock rom, or if you have any form to help me how to proceed, please say it to me.
