[APPS] Nexus-like Apps for L9

I have a deodexed 20h rom and removed almost all of LG apps. Here is what I use as alternatives.
Camera JB+, Shuttle Music Player, SwipeDialer, Google Calendar, 4.2 Alarm Clock, Nova Launcher, Widgetlocker and Google Keyboard.
I have attached the Nexus boot animation as well as ringtones and notifications . Just use a root file explorer to copy and paste boot animation to system/media.
I added several working apks that I pulled from a Galaxy Nexus 4.1.2 rom. Enjoy!
You need to extract the ringtones and notifications then paste them to the appropriate areas in system/media/audio.
It is safe to remove pretty much everything EXCEPT the phone and contacts. Please leave them alone... talking by experience here... lol.
Most are paid apps but worth every penny.... don't be so cheap.

I have most of these apps...one thing that annoys me using the Google calendar is that I always get double notifications from the stock calendar.
You said that it is safe to remove the stock calendar app? How about the stock camera?
Sent from my LG-P769 using Tapatalk 2
Yeah... you can remove the stock calendar and camera apps.
I forgot to mention the excellent music player called Shuttle Music Player.

I first used xUltimate to extract the framework and app folders, then I used kitchen to deodex. I used some adb commands to transfer it back to the phone....I can post the commands I used later... if you want to know that info.
Sent from my LG-P769 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Thanks, I know the commands
But what api did you choose was it 17 or 16? I chose 16 and it didn't work right.
Sent from my LGMS769 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Wow. I really don't remember, to be honest. I just chose deodex and waited. I had errors with LGKeyboard and Hangouts. I removed the keyboard and used es file explorer to paste Hangouts to the system/app folder.
Sent from my LG-P769 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Lol, okay thanks. You probably chose 17 which is the default : )

The stock messaging app is fairly solid, it has some nice hidden features it just needs to be themed. When I get some more time I'll see what I can do. I really like this pop out option.
LOL I had to take the picture down, I just realized I had my wife's number showing.

Flash it? Or does it need to be pushed?
I'm using the 10d metro ROM...anyone know where to find boot down screens?

I just pushed the boot animation zip to system/media using ES File Explorer with root. You can also use Root Explorer.

Might I suggest using Textra as an alternative to the stock messaging app? It has a great user-interface, ability to change chat bubble colors, dark theme, emoji support through a plugin, and my favorite would be the quick reply feature, where you are able to to tap the notification and reply to that message from any app you are using (excluding games, but that happens with any messaging app). There is also an option to have a quick compose button on the notification bar, so you'd literally never even have to enter the actual application to send/receive texts.
The only downside I would say this application has is that depending on the carrier that you have on your phone, MMS may not function, but other than that, it is great!

if you just want to remove the acid apps, just go to the folder system using file explorer and delete it then reboot your phone
but, if you want to remove all things about acid, ask the developer who created it

[app] [flash] MX player

Dear friend
First of all i make you clear that this is not my work I signed the app. Using cert signer and made it flashable zip so that you can install MX player using CWM,
The advantage is that you need not to reinstall the app every time after resetting your phone
Like system app. It will remain in your phone after wiping and resetting your phone too
If you ain't like this app then you can remove it by using Root App Remover which is available in playstore
The link to flashable MX player is

Thanks
Have a good day

Dear friend
I too know you can convert it as system app using link2sd. Infact i am too using it to link my app to my 2nd partition of sd card
I posted it just to have another option for making any app as system app
LOL

Without even using Link2SD, you can put it as simply copying the app in system / app and set permissions in

Check to see if you have the Xposed Framework installed. If so, check in there for the Xhalo Module. If it's there, just uncheck it and reboot.
