[Q] iOS Emoji Keyboard - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone, I am new to the xda-developers forums. I currently have an iPhone and I will be switching over to the Galaxy S5 come Saturday. The only thing I will miss about my iPhone is the emojis. I know Samsung has made their own emoji keyboard with a recent update. I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to getting the iOS emoji keyboard for the Galaxy S5 (where emojis will show up every where and not the android ones)? Hopefully it will be the route where I will not have to root my phone.
Thanks everyone

maybe is not possible

If you don't want to root or flash a custom recovery the only solution I see would be to use an alternative keyboard which has iOS emojis.

This would be perfect for what you want: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2618523
But you need to root your device !
Cheers

This app has Apple emoticones support: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-stock-messaging-sliding-ui-extra-t2825144

Whats a flash custom recovery? And if i were to use the alternative of finding a keyboard with iOS emojis, will those emojies appear as they do in the keyboard when I use them lets say in the notepad app or something? Or will the android ones appear once typed? Sorry, I'm a noob when it comes to androids.

How easy is it to root my phone? Is it like a one click thing with a program like a jailbreak?

First off, try the above app and see if it fits your needs. No root/custom recovery needed.

Can someone link me to an AT&T s5 root thread? My iPhone is so slow and it's taking forever to search

[Q] z5+ iPhone clone to native Android 4.2

Hi,
Recently purchased the following iPhone clone:
z5_4.0_Android_4.2_MTK6577_Cortex_A9_Dual_Core_1.2GHz_Smartphone_Android
It runs iPhone launcher which uses "iPhone like" settings.
The problem is that the available languages are limited and even if I download keyboard pack it doesn't show it in the options.
Other keyboards like emoji present only english (emoticon leaves a blank).
I'm ready to lose the iPhone GUI.
How can I revert it back to Android 4.2 native GUI, without loosing USB, Wi-Fi, GPS or any other available functionality?
I went through the posts but couldn't find a match - if there is one, please point me to it.
Thanks,
JL.
Any update?

Stock messaging and android wear?

Has anyone heard or have some insight as to when/if HTC will update their messaging app to support Android Wear?

Thats a good question. I toyed with AW with the G Watch and the Gear live, but I use GoSMS, and it worked like a champ. I dont think I have personally used a stock messaging app in years ...too bland
I hear you but it would be nice of oems got on board so that it would add functionality right out of the box instead of having to switch apps...

[Q] Android for my granny!

Hello, i am thinking about getting my Grandmother a tablet or something. and i was wondering if it is possible to create or if it already exists
my idea is simple, i am looking for some custom firmware with only the basic apps, like internet and phone app. perhaps even a gallery app however i want it to have big letters, with adaptiveness so i can change the letters to the size she likes, well i think you get what i mean. i want a smartphone that is a grannyphone what i have available is a note 2 4G and a huwei tablet or how it is spelled

iOS Emojis?

Ok, I am attempting to abandon my iPhone 6 Plus for this love s6 edge but theres one thing that irks me its the emojis. I know I know big deal right? Its just awkward coming from iPhone the galaxy emojis look so weird to me and I dont even know whats what lol
Is there anyway to have ios emojis thourghout the entire device like in texts and instagram etc...... If it requires a root can you point me in the right direction to do that as well. Its been a few years since I had samsung
On my m8 I just used a emoji changer app. It needed root though, it's really straight forward if you have root.
Sent from my SM-G925F using XDA Free mobile app
if you download chompSMS, you get the iOS emoji and not the android ones… does that help?
don't use insta stuff so no idea..

Editing root images help!

Hi all!
I'm just wondering if I were to root my S7 Edge would I then be able to go into system files and edit the standard emojis? If yes, would I then be able to use them online on Facebook and Instagram etc and would other people see them as the customised version?
Kind regards
Steve

I didn't actually understand what u said.
But emojis depends on keyboard mostly.
If u install google keyboard latest or emoji add-ons for them,u will have lots of emojis installed.
