Stock 4.4.4 23.0.A.2.105 Deodexed & Zipaligned Patch - Xperia Z3 Android Development

Hi Everyone,I Have Deodexed & Zipaligned Z3's 4.4.4 23.0.A.2.105 Firmware
This Was Meant For The Single Sim Of Xperia™ Z3 With The Model Number D6603 Or D6653
Requirements
Unlocked Bootloader Currently
Rooted
CWM Recovery
After The Root Will Work On Locked Bootloader,You Can Also Flash This On Your Z3 With Locked Bootloader
You Will Need To Have A Rooted ROM With CWM Recovery
You Must Be On This Firmware (.105) To Flash It
Please Note That The Zip Only Contained System App,Framework & Priv-App
It Was Recommended To Flash This Zip On A Generic Firmware That Doesn't Contain Carrier Apps
The Odex File Will Be Deleted During The Installation & The Carrier App May Not Work Properly Because This Is Based On Generic Firmware
Installation:
1.Download The Zip & Move It To Your Phone
2.Boot Into CWM Recovery & Flash It
3.Clear Cache & Dalvik Cache
4.Done
Download:
Deodexed & Zipaligned 4.4.4 23.0.A.2.93 Firmware ( 520.3 MB )

Generic UK
Btw there's is no any carrier apps in the zip & all Generic ROM have the same apk & jar files

It may be worthwhile to put that in the requirements it does not need an unlocked bootloader, only root and recovery. I know currently you cannot have either of these without an unlocked bootloader, but soon (Finger crossed) we will get root without having to unlock.

+1.

^^ a great opportunity to learn!! in the cross dev sony thread there is tool and instructions to convert ftf into deodexed flashable (I don't code but created these for Z Ultra) Ill go find the threads and post and you can easily make your own (ro save @Ben Ling doing exact same thing)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2713329
[TOOL] Kamome tool for Windows - deodex tool for 4.4 KitKat
edit: sry, cannot find ftf conversion thread ~ from memory; unzip ftf, unpack system (the tricky bit, needs software), then kanome tool ~ will have to find proper instructions as this helps nobody lol

You can use the one you like

^^ if you use DoomLord cwm boot for root then flash AndroPlus kernel afterwards you actually end up with both cwm AND twrp (ftw)

Hi,
I need help !! I own a D6603 Z3 model (with global generic firmware .93).
I unlocked the bootloader, then flash C.W.M recovery, then i flash this .105 de-odexed firmware, wipe cache and dalvik cache and finally, rebooting the phone.
But instead of the set up screen, i have a black screen with a blue line who shows up every 2 seconds at the bottom of the screen and i can't do anything !!
What am i missing ? I precise that i'm not a noob for flashing xperias phone.
P.S : I didn't make a backup before flashing cause i forgot, and flashtool doesn't works for Z3 yet so i can't flash any FTF Files.... :-/

flashtool works fine

I guess you are not on .105 firmware to flash this.
I forgot to edit the OP as I just updated to .105 build,so there wrote that you must be on .93 firmware.
Actually you will need to be on the same firmware to flash it in case anything goes wrong.
For now you can only reflash firmware using flashtool.

Thanks a lot for your replies, i dowloaded the latest version of flashtool as i had an old version and i managed to get back to stock.
I unlocked again, rooted and that's good for me now, even if i'm still odexed.
Just hoping now that some devs will bring us some custom rom cause it's quite sad to own this amazing phone and have no custom rom to play with...
Thanks anyway for your work on this de-odexed rom !

Hi,
Sorry for the delay, for if it is useful to most people, we would have to download this rom and install it with a fw 42 that has CWM, or a fw 58 with CWM.
Install it as a common rom and it is not necesarry to do wipe.

i edit your in my signture and sending peeps to the right link if you doesn`t mind.
Offtopic: you come from Spain, right?
i was there for 2 weeks in 2011, in Blanes & Barca
I want to ask because I think it is celar from what I can see that with this procedure it is impossible to upgrade the kernel without having unlock bootloader.
So this mod is basically the .62 firmware but with older .42 kernel with known issues about restarts and battery drain.
Otherwise it should require flash with flashtool or unlocked bootloader right?

[SOLVED] Stuck at Sony Logo whenever i try new ROM

Hello,
Currently i am using NEO V on ICS Spacious,Smooth & light ROM with Custom v3 kernel by Sharul Seth, i have an unlocked bootloader.
Whenever i try to install any other ROM like MIUI or any other ICS ROM by some other developer, my phone gets stuck at SONY LOGO for more than 10 minutes and i have to again n again switch back to my old custom ROM through CMW, i don't know what is the problem so i need suggestions from you guys, that is there a problem with the ROM or something else.
BTW i follow the steps correctly as mentioned like wiping dalvik cache, partition, data etc
still the phone takes forever to boot up and i have to switch back to my old custom ROM through CMW
*I was't able to find any threads with similar problem as mine therefore i posted a new one and moderators are free to delete this if they can answer by sending me link to some other forum.
Thank you in advance
how about trying to flash a standalone kernel first and then the rom of your choice? coz sometimes the kernels that comes from roms are not very friendly towards other roms i've been using this kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1521309
maybe is because the kernel that you are using is only for that custom rom, MIUI uses NE kernel or his own kernel inside zip file and aokp roms uses special aokp kernel
hi all.. first post
so i've been lurking aroma rom thread for a while, and finally pulled the trigger. this is the exact thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1603919

but after following the instructions on the flashtool software, my phone got stuck on sony logo, and then kept restarting
this is what shows up on the flashtool screen

anybody knows what the problem is? i would appreciate any kind of help. i have only done flashing step, before this accident happened. because the installation requires ICS firmware before doing any further action
2. there is a neo patch in the aroma thread, but there are no instructions for it. how do i use this patch, and when do i do it (after flashing ICS, after installing aroma rom, etc.)?
thanks in advance
1) tick "no final verification" when selecting fw in flashtool.
2) that zip needs to be flashed trough CWM recovery, after flashing the rom.

[HOW-TO] ROOT 14.1.B.2.257 and poosibly newer Sony Roms

So i found out a way to actually root the new "unrootable" Sony stock rom.
Its actually just using the Unlocked Bootloader as it was meant to be used.
SO ONLY FOR UNLOCKED BOOTLOARDERS!
Step 1: Flast the new firmware ftf using flashtool. Theres a fully working ftf for c6833 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2489892
Step 2: Flash the old kernel with cwm from here (v5) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2426736
Step 3: Reboot the phone to CWM mode and install the UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.65.zip found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
Step 4: Flast the new firmware ftf usin flashtool but ONLY CHOOSE THE KERNEL!! Nothing else!!
Reboot and profit.
You are rooted...

Have fun.
EDIT:
As of now this method does not work on the new Android 4.3 14.2.A.0.290

A simple thanks is enough and give thanks to all that have made this possible in those threads.
Have fun.

I doubt it because you wont have write access to the system partition. The recovery itself should work fine with the stock ROM.

Hello benchmarker,
I did everything you said, and everything went well, although i found a "bug", when i restart my C6833 , all the applications that were opened before i restarted it or switched it off/on, are opened after reboot... Does it happen with your c6833, and is there a solution for this?
I must say once again, thank you for your tutorial, without it i didn't have any root on my beloved C6833.

I haven't figured a way to turn it off. And seeing how this is a stock ROM no one compiles it except for Sony.

So, you want to put stok rom 5.1.1 on 6.0.1 botloader!
first you must modify the boot.img replacing the "dtb"(5.1.1) file with the one from stok boot.img(6.0.1)
with ODIN can work or not becouse ODIN chech the version of each file before flashing, but you can try!
after you modify the boot.img, extract the system.img.ext4(5.1.1) file from stok rom.md5
put the new boot.img and the system.img.ext4 in a .tar archive and try to flash it with ODIN
you will have succes or can fail(becouse of ODIN)
also you can use the superRkitchen in linux to compile the rom to be flashed it with TWRP
that "dtb"(6.0.1) file will help you to pass the boot of a 5.1.1 rom on 6.0.1 botloader
that will work becouse i already did it with my ported roms
if you dont know hou to compile the rom with superRkitchen just tell me and i will guide you!

you are blocked in 6.0.1 botloader?
i understand you flashed the rom with success! i'm happy for you!
i beleve that process can be done and vice versa to flash a 6.0.1 rom on a 5.1.1 botloader(i didnt test it yet)
also it can be done with any custom rom BUT becouse we dont have here custom boot.img(6.0.1) except the one from Skies ROM by @BlackMesa123 or of @KingRaheel wich give up the project, the posibilities are limited for now, maybe in the near future
BUT(becouse all the time can be a BUT) can be tryed wiht the "dtb" file from stok rom's on custom rom's
Thanks!

do you have a backup of 5.1.1 stok rom?
if yes, restore the backup and then install the boot.img and reboot
or try the dtb file from King Raheel boot.img (6.0.1) or other custom (6.0.1) boot.img,
i worked with custom files not with stok, that can have some securities in it
