[Q] (CyanogenMod 11) needs driver for ADB connection - HTC One Max

I'm new to CyanogenMod & It needs new driver for ADB connection!!???
I already have HTC_Driver_4.1.0.001 installed on my windows7 & works good with other previous ROMs.
I've checked ADB via usb on developer setting. How can I find or have a driver for "ADB connection" Windows couldn't find it automatically.
Thanks

For me. Go into Device Manager and find the unconfigured device and manually assign the driver to it.
EDIT: Which you may need to get the android sdk and download the usb driver and manually assign it with those.

[Q] Viewpad 7 adb usb driver

Hi, I am looking for usb driver for viewpad 7 for using adb. Can anybody provide and link or pointers from where can I get the same.
Thanks,
Dang
There's no "real" driver...
Just connect your Viewpad 7 to your PC.
A window pops up where you can select "setup.exe" - select it.
Then a few drivers get installed (perhaps a restart is necessary)
Seems like the Viewpad 7 has a virtual drive which gets mounted when connecting it to a PC - it's shown up as virtual CD-drive for me under Windows XP and Windows 7.
PS: The drivers are also located on the virtual CD-drive in a directory.
Make sure you run the file from the virtual optical drive if you have autorun disabled.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA App
plug youre viewpad in now youre pc see een cdrom right click and open use that adb.exe that one works
How to remove the virtual drive
I have already installed the drivers from this drive, but whenever I connect the device, the virtual CD-ROM drive still appears. Anyone know how to get rid of it?

I always open the Sync tool then (do nothing, no sync or so).
That's the only way my Windows 7 PC recognizes the tablet via ADB.
I have been doing that as well, but it's just annoying to have this extra drive that is of no use and just sits there taking up a drive letter.
Stupid question, ive never used adb, but does this mean i dont have to download it because already cames on that virtual drive, and so i only need to install it ?
Now i manage to install the drivers.
I go to the command line in windows and write :
adb usb
adb devices, and get this:
List of devices attached
FM6120420141
Then i do,
adb shell, and nothing happens.
Ive tried several commands and nothing works, what m i doing wrong here ?

Solved driver issue on windows7
Hi,
I was facing issue in connecting viewpad7 to windows7 machine. Even synchronization steps were failing. Manuall attempt to run "adb.exe devices" were unable to detect the device. Here is my steps that I did for rooting the device with SuperOnceClick(SOC)1.7-
1. Initially driver were not detected/installed on windows7. Only CDROM displaying setup was displayed and clicking "Setup.exe" is not installing drivers. Copy the All files on computer and say folder name is "v7Setup".
2. To Install drivers, Connect Tablet/Phone to windows7, select "USB Tethering in tablet" (This is needed to detect devices by Windows7), in windows7:check the "Device Manager", it can show "Others" two devices: HSUSB & RNDIS. Update the driver for both devices from "v7setup/RUT/*" folders.
3. Now start SOC1.7 and select "rageagainstthecage" and click root. It may wait at "Running rageagainstthecage..." message in SOC log window. Then disconnect the Tablet after waiting for 1-2 minute and connect again after beep sound from windows7. Here, again I needed to install the drivers as mentioned in step2. SOC1.7 will proceed and finally in poup message, it will ask to "push su" files. And Done.

[Q] ADB with CM7

Has anyone been able to access their touchpad via ADB on with CM7 Alpha?
If so, what's the trick. I'm running Win7 Pro 32bit, Android SDK is installed with the latest Java 1.7 and USB debugging is on and displayed in notification.
FYI - I'm used to using ADB with my droid eris on GSB so I've tried most of the known stuff. Are there ADB drivers for the TouchPad around?
Thanks in advance.
All ADB drivers are in essence the same, you should be able to use the official ones Google releases with any device.
To get ADB running with my TouchPad(Windows 7 x64) I had a USB Mass Storage Device with the hardware id(USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0C02&REV_0227) I had to go an change the device driver to a USB Composite Device, once I did that the ADB interface showed up and I was able to install the driver.
The mass storage device I changed was this one (USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0C02&REV_0227) and not this one (USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0C02&REV_0227&MI_00).
Here is a link to the Official ADB Google driver http://api.ge.tt/0/8FtSNo8/0/blob/download you may need to force the driver to install.
Worked perfect. Thanks!
adbWireless ftw. No need for cables/drivers.
https://market.android.com/details?id=siir.es.adbWireless&feature=search_result
This worked for me. No modded .ini file or driver needed.
It detected and installed the"USB Composite Device" automatically.

One way to get Windows 7 to detect your Fascinate after flashing a new ROM like AOKP

Ok hopefully this helps someone. After flashing the amazing AOKP ROM (literally best ROM I've ever flashed...Holy stable batman) I noticed that on Win7 x86 or x64 that USB file transfer to/from SD card worked fine...as did Odin but Windows could not find a driver for my phone anymore. This creeped me out because this meant adb would not be able to connect. Running the adb devices command would not show anything.
I tried 3 different Win 7 machines and a WinXP machine all of them used to work but now they didn't I read the FAQ, I goggle searched xda and droid forums and tried everything, cables, switching USB ports, phone settings, dev settings, new usb drivers but, I could no longer get adb to connect.
So I started looking closely at the Samsung USB drivers I have on my machines which worked fine on stock ROMs, and a few other custom ROMs (not blaming AOKP no disrespect) and I found that the hardware id for my device changed and the device string wasn't referenced in any of the USB drivers files. So I forced the correct driver to install and it worked! So if that is all you need to know cool, if you some of you need the steps here they are:
I'm assuming you already have Samsung USB drivers and adb from the SDK installed (if not there's tons of info on this site to get both)
I'm also assuming you installed the USB drivers so they are in the default location, if you extracted a zip file or something you will need the path to the USB drivers
Last assumption... I tried 3 different versions of Samsung USB drivers and for each one the ssadadb2.inf that has the ADB driver was in the USB Drivers\16_Shrewsbury folder...If you don't find it there do a search in the USB Drivers folder and reference that location for step 13
Click Start button, then right-click Computer, then click Manage
Click Device Manager
Expand Other devices, you should see SCH-I500 with the yellow exclaimation point
Right-click it then click Update Driver Software
Click Browse my computer for driver software
Click Let me pick from a list of drivers
Scroll up, highlight Show All Devices, click Next
Click Have Disk
Click Browse
Browse to C:\Program Files\SAMSUNG\USB Drivers\16_Shrewsbury
Double-click ssadadb2.inf, click Open, Click OK
Highlight SAMSUNG Android Composite ADB Interface, click Next
You will get an "Update Driver Warning" saying cannot verify compatibility with your hardware, click Yes
You should see Windows has successfully updated your driver software, click Close
Back in device manager under ADB Interface you should see the driver name you just added....the entry under Other devices should be gone
Connect your data USB cable (not a charging only cable...if you can't tell the difference just be sure you used this cable for data before)
Open a cmd prompt (start>run>cmd enter if you didn't know)
browse to where you installed adb and type "adb devices"
You should see your device and a serial number again....back in business
Like I said no disrespect to AOKP I rock my B31 (soon to be 32) Pink Unicorn proudly This hopefully applies to anyone who had a hardware id change from any ROM.

Installation of usb drivers don't works (Alcatel ot995)

Hello,
I've a problem since I changed my Rom : I take the CyanogenMod 10.3 for my Alcatel OT995, it works fine on my device, but I can't use adb command line neither other features using adb.exe ! I can only access to storage mass device, so I think I have a problem with the USB drivers which connect ADB command to my phone.
I can add that before I've installed this Rom on the device, I've installed many drivers on the PC : Firstely I installed the owner's driver provided by Alcatel in the AlcatelAndroidManager.exe package, secondly I installed the Google USB drivers provided because I'm using Android Virtual Devices (AVD Manager) to do some developping works.
I used to launch adb with "adb start-server" so it's still working, I don't obtain any device in the list with "adb devices", why don't I get it ?
I've realized some cleaning actions : I uninstalled the USB drivers of Alcatel's software, I uninstall the Google USB driver , to finish I reboot the PC but it don't changed anything !
Moreover, I tryed to apply this (well explained) post without any success :http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/diagnosing-usb-driver-adb-issues-windows-t2514396 ; I see finely in the list, I can't find "Android devices" category, neither "Usb Adb" entry... so my device is not recognized in the "Settings Panel". However the storage mass device appears as a volume named "F:".
Help me please.

yes its shows yellow error in mtp but I am able to transfer files from laptop and tablet only thing is I can't use cmd and adb but after going thru your link I come to know that my adb was too old which is of my HTC explorer so I downloaded adb (platform.zip) from the thread given in your post and then for mtp I manually selected driver installed in my laptop I.e adb interface >Samsung adb and then I tried cmd in new platform.zip which had updated adb files for jellybean+ version and now its working fine.
Dunno how you did that. I'm a newbie.
Could you plz help me out ?
I don't have any sort of "Adb" connection in device manager (which you can see in my image), which was supposed to be there.
Can you give me a detailed explanation of what you did ????

so you too also want adb to work for you right?
I can't say exactly what made it work for me cause I have s duos 2 also n so its drivers are also installed in my lappy.
but you do one thing
1.install Intel android driver from above post v1.9.0
2.enable debugging in tablet and connect and then goto device manager where you have mtp error, right click on mtp, update drivers select from folder will appear below that must be some option select from installed drivers goto that see Intel android driver after that you will be getting multiple option android adb interface, adb composite interface select any one preferably android adb interface and install.after that uncheck debugging and again check it and see if mtp error is gone from device manager.
3.download platform.zip from your given thread link unzip it and in that folder open cmd by holding shift and right click do open cmd here and check if all is OK by typing adb devices,if its OK it will list your device.
I'll give it a try, then i'll inform you. Till then, please stick to the post ! Thank you for the info BTW.

if still yellow error is shown on device manager right click on it update driver, then browse from folder or look for installed driver some where is must be there search something related to Intel or adb and select that else forget it cause what's the use of adb for us as there is no custom ROM or other things to do.
other way is download helium app on PC and tablet and in ptp mode you can get adb working
