Has anyone tried installing Cyanogenmod on the HAM2? Does anyone know if it will work or not?
I dont think anyone has built it yet i could be wrong..
But twrp and the source Code is out so its should be only matter of time before roms start to appear

Thanks - I wasn't sure if you could just go to get.cm and it would work or not. I'm guessing not.

hi i have been looking at all the roms so i am asking the people who are running it what is there favourite as at the moment i am running fxp and the phone is laggy and the phone doesnt answer half the time/ring out.

what is your device?, well, I can talk about xperia U have been many ROM's developed based on JB 4.1 and most have reached a point of stability very good.
for me, this is one of the most complete

i have xperia u and would love to have android 4.4,4.1 but i have locked bootloader what i cannot unlock
I have cm10.1, is posible use hdmi-mirroring in these roms?, some kernel or cm7?

Are you sure 100% that hdmi-mirroring is working?
How about you check for yourself instead?
Or, y'know... just use search and read. It's been discussed countless times already.

Not 100%, but that's whats good about our phone, unlocked bootloader-> test all the roms we want until we found the one for us

Has anyone managed to boot any custom kernel on their device? As far as I'm concerned every single ROM, available for Redmi 3 (whether it is CM12/13, Resurrection Remix or else) run stock kernels, built by Xiaomi. I tried to compile CM 12 kernel, CM 13 kernel, Open Source Xiaomi kernel, I used gcc 5, gcc 4, UberTC, Google toolchain, I tried modular kernel, monolithic one with no success. It just doesn't boot, though it has the same version and build settings as a stock one.
So am I doing something wrong or Redmi 3 is indeed vendor-locked to boot only Xiaomi kernels?
From the forums I would think no one has gotten it to boot in a custom kernel. I would very much like it if it were possible.
the sources for redmi 3 have not been fully released.. I don't think we will see a full working custom kernel for a while

Bq M5.5 uses SD616. Its a spanish OEM. And they have kernel sources.

I'd love a custom kernel. Trouble is I'm not good at coding. Seems Xiaomi is mercilessly difficult about releasing the source code, something I thought was illegal, and this device is locked up as tight as fort Knox.

its actually supposed to be only the mtk devices that source code was difficult to release. qualcomm is usually better in this aspect, even if it is slow. it was like this for samsung as well. we eventually got the codes for everything, just later than what everyone else would have wanted

I haven't tried but according to another post elsewhere you have to flash it using TWRP.

Some people have tried it and it is MIUI 10 for sure. My guess is that it is the latest closed beta.

yeah i was on the developer firmware 8.8.29, i was able to unlock my bootloader luckily.
i dont have any beta account nor i am in the internal testing group. u just need to unlock ur bootloader, and then get twrp and misc.info flashed, as per instructed on the GSI ROM flashing guide.
Not aware of bugs so far but so far so good, performance bump coming from MIUI 9 and some UI changes which are much better and PIP works well as intended like in android oreo.
on a side note @sabar_op, browsing through the miui cn forum, seems like miui 10 8.9.5 is available already ^^

Not that I want to demand. But what about OnePlus Oxygen OS.? I think it would be really good.. Would it be easy to port? Just a suggestion.
