[Q] [XP]Questions about the font size in the launcher - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

I first encountered it in Enigma 6.x. I found that the font size in the launcher(desktop) is smaller than the default one, and it was the reason I flashed another ROM.
Recently, I find than Almost all roms based on 4.1.2 have this issue.
Since the font size is normal in other UI, I consider the reason is within the launcher.apk itself.
The question is: How can I change the font size of the launcher(desktop) to the default one?
I'd appreciate if someone can give me some help with it. Thanks a lot!

I believe you are right, i have experienced it too.
IT IS due to the launcher itself.
i think the roms u tried have ported launcher, from z1/z2 . they are not made for screens for our size, hence this issue.
try changing font size in display back to normal, i know it will not correct the issue, but it helped me somewhat.
hope it works for you too.
or you can simply use stock launcher, from stock jb rom for Xp, either install it normally or replace the other launcher.

[Q] Changing Default Home Screen

Hi Everyone, New user to XDA forums.
I want to change the Default home screen on my SG2 to screen number 4(I have 7 home screens)
My Current SG2:
2.3.4
PDA: I9100UHKI2
PHONE: I9100UHK1
CSC: I9100UUBKI2
The phone is Rooted.
I know the default.prop file is on the root folder and not in /system. However, when I use "root explorer" to edit the default.prop and I add the lines -
#sets TouchWiz Launcher default screen
ro.csc.homescreen.defaultscreen=3
#sets TouchWiz Launcher screen count
ro.csc.homescreen.screencount=6
I save the the file and reboot the phone. But the problem is, the default.prop deletes the lines I added. At this point, I'm kind of lost here.
I know alot of people will say, use a different Launcher, but I prefer to use the touchwiz. I have no problems with it and it works for me. I have search all the threads regarding this topic, however I have yet to see a solution to this issue.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for replying. No I haven't tried TouchWiz 4.5. Is there an official version that came out from Samsung?
The only version I see is - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1061883
Yes install that one, it is installed in most custom ROMs nowadays. TouchWiz 4.5 is a modified TouchWiz 4, so it is not official.

[Q] [Fonts] [JB] Font overwrite has no effect on display

Dear XDA,
I've been lurking the forum for a solution to installing custom fonts on Westcrip's Resurrection Remix 3.1.2 ROM for Galaxy S2.
On Gingerbread, a single .ttf file overwrite sufficed for a global font change. On ICS, bold and italic .ttf files had to be supplied as well, because ICS is more versatile and can take advantage of different font styles.
Now, I just changed to JB and tried to use my previous-working zip update containing SonySketchEF for ICS, but to no avail. I tried manually changing the font files by following this guide, but my effort was still fruitless. Now I'm starting to suspect that the JB ROM doesn't actually use the /system/fonts files at all, seeing as all the Roboto files have been overwritten and my phone has not updated with the latest fonts..
My question is: Does anyone have a working update.zip for custom fonts? Or perhaps a valid guide on how to do it myself? Googling for "JB custom fonts" only returns threads such as 'herp derp here are the fonts from JB to use on your ICS ROM', which is not what I need.
Thank you.
Regards,
Trafiq

[Q] X-VIBE and decorations/tweaks

Hi everyone, I'm new on this forum and don't understand some things regarding to custom rom, videlicet X-Vibe rom. I've installed this rom as described in regarded thread. So, after installation I've used new OS and found that lots of things looks a bit ugly or works not very good for me. I've tried to customize them as much as I can but still not satisfied.
The main point of my feelings is that previous ROM I've used was much better. Especially I really want to have Applications buttom in bottom part of every desktop and I still not able to use it. So, I don't really sure but I'd like to remove additional decorations and themes and use stock representation such as on this picture.

Please, help me on my problem or just tell what I should do to have proper result. Any explanations is really appreciated.
Thanks you!

The only way is roll back to stock ROM, Vibe ROM you can consider as Custom ROM with pretty much visual appearance features added.

Thank you very much! I suspected that those changes are "embedded" in custom rom.

Help with replacing stock launcher with older version

I have a Nubia Z7 Max and since I've updated the stock ROM, some of the launcher features have disappeared, so I want to install the old launcher if that's possible. I have the old ROM so can get the launcher from that.
I've read that it's a simple matter of pushing the old launcher with adb, but since I'm brand new to Android, I'm not entirely sure on how to do this.
Also, when I look in the system/app folder of the ROM, there are different launcher.apk files in there. How do I know which one is the actual launcher I need to replace?
Thanks for any help.
Anyone?
Anyone????????????????????

[Q] Recover Stock Clock Font?

I have changed my system font some moths ago, I prefer to use Sony Sketch. Of course, this tweak has even changed the lockscreen stock clock font.
I guess it's not possible but, is it there any way to recover the originial stock clock font? Only that, the rest are OK.
Thanks in advance
