I'm experiencing the same problem with my ATT GS3. I tried disabling the boot animation, dirty flashing a newer aokp version (2014-10-18), and not sure what else to try - perhaps an earlier aokp version? Still the boot animation seems to get stuck (geers stop) and it takes 10-15 minutes to complete boot each time I reset. Did you ever find a solution?

AOKP for P3113 - Won't go further than Galaxy Tab splash screen

Hi,
I can run CM10 just fine on my P3113 Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.
But I tried several AOKP builds for this tablet and none will boot.
I did a factory/data wipe every time.
Anyone can help me make it work?
Thanks,
Mike

I finally found a way to make it work. Here is how I did it:
After flashing AOKP, I immediately flashed a kernal over it.
It did the trick.
I know ppl say that AOKP includes a kernal BUT this was what I had to do... Flashing AOKP alone never worked.
Oh and is here the kernal I flashed over AOKP:

I used the Regular OC kernal.
My AOKP ROM now runs smootly at stock speed with this kernal... I can't enable the OC sadly...

There can be some issues with converted phones. My advice is to stick with rootbox. It has everything you need in a 4.2.2 rom

Help with Reboot !!!!!!

Hi all
Tried posting before but not getting any answers
Im new to android and have been tweaking my samsung s4 for a couple of months now. I have a Samsung S4 GT I9505 with TWRP boot recovery , nova launcher prime and KitKat 4.4 Google play edition Rom. I have also flashed Faux Kernel onto my phone to prevent random restarts. The problem is I am still getting restarts (about 8 a day) the problem was a lot worse before I re-flashed it with the same kernel. I have tried flashing it again but I still get the same problem. Also some of my apps restart more often then before I had the custom ROM (GPE)
Help would be most appreciated
Thanks
Aiden

Send it back to the manufacturer. It's obviously a damaged phone if it can't last one day without a reboot.
The phone was fine before I installed the rom.

Not sure if it will help you at all, but read this thread and see if it may be an option.

Constant Reboots

I just installed aokp 4.4.2 on my sprint galaxy s4. My phone is rebooting every 2 minutes. I don't know what is going on. I have installed multiple roms this week and this has never happened to me. If I need to give anymore information so you can help me, please tell me. Thanks in advance.
I had the same problem with my xperia t. When i flashed a cm rom it crashed and kept rebooting by itself in this weird bootloop. I just flashed a stock firmware using flashtool, at least it exited the bootloop, but I was still not able to flash the rom i wanted to.
You're flashing the accompanied kernel with your ROM right? Just checking! Any looping issues I've had have been due to this.
