Hairline crack on case - Verizon LG G3

I looked at my phone today and noticed a crack going through the bottom microphone and the IR blaster. I've never dropped it or hit it on something. Did some research and was a known issue by LG. I contacted LG and the rep said that I have to send them my phone and wait around 1 week while they inspect the phone. Does anyone have this issue and got a replacement from Verizon?

I know it's a huge issue with them on tmobile. There is a thread about it where a ton of people have it. I am on Verizon and just recently got it by the 3mm jack. Also scratches from cases being put on. Definitely not good build quality. Not so worried about it unless it gets worse. Always has a case on it, but man, makes me mad lg won't do anything about it.

I also have the hairline crack problem. When I talked to Verizon in the online chat, they said it's a known problem but haven't received word from LG on replacing phones under warranty. Instead they suggested I contact LG. Which sucks because now it looks like I'll be without my G3 for a week if I decide to get it repaired. Wish Verizon would just send me a replacement instead.

My phone also developed the mysterious crack (no drops or abuse, had mime ghost glass on screen and lg circle case). After having calling verizon and having them refer me to lg, I called lg, got an ra and I sent the phone into lg (at my expense-cranky!!). I sent it on October 15. They repaired it and sent it back to me, I received the repaired unit on 10/23. Amazingly, this is my original unit repaired, no sign of crack, but same imei number! I was very surprised, repair slip says re-solder. I am not sure how this repaired the plastic part but there no longer is a crack. Original pict of crack shown below, identical to ones posted around internet.
I think it is awful of lg not to provide an prepaid mailing label (i requested one and was denied). They repaired the phone free of charge, so obviously, it was a warranty repair and one recognized by them as a batch defect in "trusted reviews" article ( http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/lg-g3-owners-complain-of-cracking-issues). Neither lg nor verizon were helpful with a loner phone. I had an old phone that I was able to reactivate to use during the replacement period, but it was so old it really only functioned as a dumb phone. I just hope the 'fix' is permanent! As much as I love this phone, I would not buy lg again after this run around!!

Never had that issue and I've had my G3 for a while now. Take good care of your G3 and avoiding those issues are easy.

One common thing I've notice with people having this issue is the use of the circle case, or something similar that is a hard, tight fit around the back of the phone. Maybe not everyone with cracks uses one, but many have. I've had my G3 for nearly two months now, using only a tpu case, and I gave no signs of cracking or other damage.

It's not an issue of misuse, it's a factory defect. I have the same crack and have never done anything tough to my phone at all

I just noticed it on my phone today as well. I had it in a clear TPU case, but it wasn't a tight case by any means. I babied the phone and never put it in a pocket with anything else, and I still got the crack. Oh well.. hopefully it doesn't get any worse

I was on the phone with verizon for 45 minutes. Ultimately, they said they have a record of people in the last few days calling with the same issue. They said they have no response from LG yet. I have the option to send it in and get a refurb. They told me they will inspect the phone to make sure there are no signs it was dropped, and I take a risk of them charging me $299 if they feel it was dropped.
I was told if/when LG does respond to verizon, it'll be less likely to be inspected as much and a simple exchange. The rep said he expects more people to be calling about the problem, since it seems to be a common occurrence, so LG will have to tell verzion what to do.
So, the best thing to do is call verizon and let them know about the problem. I had to speak to someone one level up from normal tech support.

I will call in tonight as I have the issue as well.

Anyone have an update to this? I just noticed this on mine. I have never dropped mine or sit with it in my pocket. It is absolutely spotless and is taken care of more then almost anything I own. Need it replaced or repaired so I can sell after I get my nexus 6.

Anybody have any updates? I just noticed this on mine and have called both verizon and LG and neither one can find this to be a "known issue". I'm SOL unless I can get a rep who knows this issue. I need to send the phone in for an issue with the camera, but I cant at the risk of being charged for an issue that is obviously a defect in the phone.

Yup top and bottom of phone I have hairline cracks....

So I got a tier 2 tech support person who did enough digging to find the cracks are a known issue. He said he searched verizons private device forums. As in we cant see what they see. If you have this issue tell tech support to search "bezel" in their device forums. The post was made 11/19/14 and was replied to by corporate on 11/21/14. He notated my account very well so that I won't be charged for damages to the phone since the crack is a known issue in their own forum. Hope this helps anyone in the future.

Might be common for some, but I've never used a Circle case as long add I've had my G3. It's never been dropped, never bumped, never near water....I treat it likes it's freakin' gold because it had to last me 2 years. My last 3 Android phones over the past 6-8 years are all still in perfect working order, including my original Droid. I just happened to notice today that mine has the crack through the IR transmitter and started searching to see if is been a problem.

bcoop8, thanks a bunch, the exchange I just did with Verizon was the easiest I have ever done all thanks to the information you posted. I was so bummed when I saw the crack last friday and amazed when I walked in and they simply offered to ship me a new one.

You were able to walk into a Verizon store and tell them about that forum post from corporate and they will send you a new G3 in the mail? Are they letting you keep yours while you wait for the new one?

My old one is right here next to me, I should get the new one in a day or two and I walked in with a print out of the post. It took them a bit of time/digging at the store, but they evidently found the post it was referring to... the phone is part of a company account which often seems to get better service than individuals though...

Sprint: Phone Replacement, Urgent PLease help!

Hey guys, I ran into quite a predicament today. As I was walking to work, I fell something fall out and slide half way across the parking lot. I felt me phone case (the crappy one that came with the phone), looked down on the ground and noticed it was my AWESOME Sprint Touch Pro. With the site of my phone moving in a hockey-like manner, I finished cursing and decided that I don’t want to have such an amazing phone looking like a piece of crap.
So here is where I am at. I need to get this phone fixed. I think that I might have a few options, but I want to know what you guys think. Originally, I bought this phone from a guy of Craigslist; it was $240, if you can believe it. Now, the phone had never been activated, so it was as if I was the original owner. Additionally, I never got a phone from sprint, but I am under contract. That means, according to sprint, that I am eligible for a new to get a new phone at anytime. Thus, I reach my questions and request for opinions.
Option 1 (least likely): Since the phone was never activated, can I still claim the 30-day phone guarantee from sprint? Meaning, can I return the phone as if it was defective?
Option 2 (What I will probably have to do): Should I buy a phone, get the equipment protection plan, and then process my touch pro as a defective phone. This seems like a relatively good idea, because I can get a phone pretty cheap (like the rant) and sell it on Ebay. So in the end, I make money off of this idea. The only down side is that my contract restarts, but I have only been with sprint for about four months. Also, I was going to save my free phone upgrade for next year so I could get a brand spanking new phone.
Option 3 (Don’t want to do this): Suck it up, and get a silicon case that covers the scratches. The scratches are only around the shiny part on the perimeter of the screen, which, by the way, says a lot about the quality of the screen.
Option 4 (Too much trouble): Sell it on eBay for as much as I can, and since it’s probable less than $300, put the rest out of pocket and buy a brand new touch pro from sprint.
Option 5 (Does it exits?): look for replacement housing. Since the phone is new, I don’t know if it’s even out there yet.
Thanks for all your input guys. I really hope to hear from some Sprint Reps or something. Meanwhile, I am going to try to sucker Sprint into helping me out.
P.S Yes, I know what I am doing is unethical, and that the phone is not really defective, thus I should not be returning it as defective.
I think I am having trouble understanding what happened. You have scratched your touch pro that you bought from someone else, I got that.
You never activated the phone on sprint? You should go ahead and put the phone one your account and get insurance immediately!
If you have only been with Sprint for 4 months how are you eligible for an upgrade?
If it is only chrome scratched my TP came like that. Look at the chrome around the keyboard section. At all 3 corners, excluding the Stylus one check for a "Seam" in the chrome, if it has this you can take it in and exchange at a Sprint store.
A scratched phone on Ebay will go for MUCH less than a regular one.
I am not here to tell you whether you are ethical or not, but you should exhaust all options that seem less unethical first before trying to make someone else pay for your mistake. That being said, I think everyone in the world would try to get a new phone for free, so I wouldn't feel too bad.
The phone is activated on sprint, but the person that sold it to me never activated it. It has been only a few days since I activated, can I still add the TEP? And are they going to charger a deductible, cuz they'll charge me $55 to fix it.
I am eligible for an upgrade cuz I never got a phone from sprint.
So if it has some defects I could take it back, even though I have no TEP? Unfortunately, the phone is flawless other than my stupid scratches.
TBH, I don't fell doing this to sprint. They have screwed me over many times over. This would just even it out.
If it is activated just go ahead and get insurance. You can add it anytime. They will charge deductible normally, but instead of telling them its because of scratches tell them you are experiencing poor battery life and that you can't hear anything in the speaker because it sounds like a tin can.
Oh, you never purchased a phone when you switched. I was confused. Thanks for clarification.
Look for those seams, almost every TP has them and they will switch for free without TEP. They are hard to notice but mine has em and I am going to switch soon.
They have screwed me repeatedly and I would be doing the same thing. Haha, I wasn't trying to preach in my post before.
Is there a grace period to get it? I thought it was like 30 days. Yea, I can lie to them, no problem. Though my bat life is amazing. play with it all day and never has died on me.
Can you direct me to a link to where this seams thingy is being discussed, or where the sources where u got this is at. I want to read some on it. Or maybe some pics, I didn't really know where to look.
Yea, well, they decided to renew my contract, and it said they had returned my deposit...I'm definitely going to use that against them.
To be honest, they have messed up so many times, I have only paid my full bill about 2 times.
I Heard my Sprint Rep. say that the insurance can only be added within the first 30 days.
So here is the rub....How do they know when you purchased it? Unfortunately logic would say that the insurance only applies to devices purchased directly from the carrier, but I hope I am wrong.

Unless they changed the policy, that's not true. I had a phone for 6 months before I added the insurance online through the My Account feature.
But it's possible that has been changed and no longer do able.
Guys Thanks for all your responses, they are very informative.
So Basically here, I am leaning towards trying to see if I can get insurance added. I don't know how hard of a task this will be, but I hope that they can be persuaded into helping me out.
If not, I will just get a cheap phone and sell it.
Again, I am aware of the ethical lines being crossed, but wit sprint, those lines seem almost unreal.
update (Sorry about the double post):
So to my surprise srpint sent this in an email:
Regarding the call from the technical department, I have forwarded your
concern to the appropriate department.
The handset on the account is under 30 day return period. You can visit
the nearest Sprint store and replace the handset.
Thank you again for contacting Sprint. Have a great day!

its 30 days from the day you activate the phone...so you can go to a sprint store or call customer service and add insurance
as a tech in a sprint affiliate store i WOULD NOT swap you out for free because of cosmetic damage. So you are looking at paying 50 through Asurion(the insurance company)

Well, well see. I am going to request a return kit from them, as they said that they would do. If not, then what ever.
BTW, the phone doesn't look like its been dropped or has any cracks. The excuse, "Its been in my pocket with my keys," would fly without a hitch.
We shall see what happens.
Sorry man, haven't been around the Computer. I had insurance on my touch I bought off of ebay. I had ins on my phone before and when I activated the phone it just went ahead and switched it over to my touch. So you should be fine adding it.
You can probably send it to them, but what are they going to give you back? You paid them $0 for the phone, so be careful, that may be what they give you.
Here is the site you requested talking about the chrome seams.

Yea, as I thought, I don't have that problem on my phone.
So if I understand your correctly, you bought a phone from Ebay, and added insurance to it?
Sorry about double post. I just added TEP, took it in. Told them about some errors, no lies. Just some stuff that happens with the phone. Of course I know its normal, but they didn't know that. They gave me a brand new TP, and let me keep the old battery.

Anyone ACTUALLY Warrantied an Unlocked/Re-Locked?

If anyone out there in XDA-land has actually warrantied an unlocked or re-locked phone (in store and/or via the 1-800 number), could you please chime in and post your experience (whether you did store or 800 and what happened).
I realize that it may still be too early to ask this question, because the true kicker is whether someone down the supply chain (in store, then in Verizon, then in HTC) noticed and charged back to your account; as there may not have been enough time for bills to generate after such a chain, but I would love to hear of actual experiences.
If possible, there is no need to report back on Amazon or Best Buy or Guy-On-The-Corner They have different policies. This is a Verizon Corporate inquiry. If anyone sent it back to Verizon, did Verizon ultimately charge you for a new Rezound. Thanks
(I realize there is another thread debating whether or not HTC shares with Verizon, and whether Verizon employees are trained to check. This is not that hypothetical inquiry; I am hoping that only people who ACTUALLY did the swap report in).
Thanks!
This is interesting to me. I'm stuck wanting the "normal", for lack of better words, root and s-off method from the community. I knew that the employees don't care about root as long as they can set it back to stock. That's what I heard from my friend that worked there. I don't know about the HTC unlock though.
I did it with my first rezound. (i baught them at bestbuy for their replacement plan) no questions asked. GIVE ME NEW PHONE, they gave, I was happy.
not that this helps right now, but i should be able to give you an idea in a few days. bought my rezound on the 9th and unlocked and flashed that night, data started not connecting at all on the 13th. called vzw tech support on the 17th telling them what was going on, no mention of whether it was unlocked from either side, got my warranty replacement today. gonna send back the old phone tomorrow.
I had the 'can't charge dead batteries issue' the other night. Went to store and replaced with new battery. No problems.

Well - You did come closest to answering out of all the other responses PLEASE let us know if you ever get billed for it (which can take months).
When I turned my Charge in to Best Buy for the upgrade plan, the dude actually SHOWED OFF to the other folks how modded that thing was, he was in awe. As much flashing I did on that thing, it should have melted. They don't care, or are not paid enough TO care. Never had a problem at the VZW store either, but those guys are usually idiots anyways.
Local best buy for me looked for a superuser app, didn't see it, then exchanged the phone. Had they looked at the bootloader they would have seen the relocked. Bunch of idiots...lol.

While Best Buy is not relevant (they probably have their own policies), that is kind of disturbing. It means they are looking.
Anyone actually do this with *VERIZON*, would love to hear if they ultimately charge you.
I know this is not exactly the same, but I exchanged my old Samsung Fascinate for a Droid Charge under warranty through Verizon. I restored the Fascinate but forgot to restore the kernel. It showed some hacked version under the system settings and was really obvious.
I sent it back and never heard anything about it...
i'm curious, if they do charge wouldn't that mean they should send me the phone that was broken back since in theory i would have purchased the second phone at full price?

YES! That is why I was hoping to hear of people's actual responses with Verizon. Not having much luck with the "actual" or "verizon" part of the inquiry, but it is probably still too early to really know. The phone hasn't been unlocked long enough for people to unlock, decide they need to warranty replace, exchange it with VERIZON, and then get another bill cycle or 2 or 3 to see if they were charged.
... but I keep hoping to hear from anyone who actually warrantied an unlocked phone back to a Verizon corporate store or Verizon 800. As time goes by, maybe we will learn

Please do. I suspect it will take months (has to get from Verizon store to headquarters as part of however often they ship, then Verizon has to batch all their warranty replacements back to HTC {if that's how they do it} however often they ship, then HTC has to notice {if they ever do} and push back {if they ever do}, and the Verizon has take the pushback and bill). I suspect that this can take months, at which point the question will be moot (because it will be as it will be), but it was a pipe dream of mine to see what actually happens, given the amount of guessing going on.
Good luck!
I don't see from a legal standpoint how they can do anything...soon as the phone is in their possession they are taking responsibility for it no? Therefore if it is not covered by HTC for some reason, it would be there fault.

There was a ridiculous number of acknowledgment clicks re voided warranty through the unlock process. I would consider this situation exactly like if you brought a phone to Verizon saying it won't work, and the somewhere down the line someone finds the water sensor tripped. The dude behind the counter at Verizon is not going to know at the time, but as the phone winds its way through the warranty replacement chain, someone will figure it out; and they probably will charge you for your replacement.
No one would be screaming 'illegal' in that case; and I believe the cases are identical.
Please note - I hope this is not the case; I have not unlocked my phone (despite desperately wanting to run Nils' ROM) because I dont have $650 to start again. BUT, I can easily see the parallel here.

I don't know how to feel about that either. When an employee of a cellphone provider looks at the available water marks and SAYS your phone is fine and has not received water damage and they are going to replace it for you...anything found afterwords is Verizon's own fault and they will have to deal with. I actually had apple try and pull that once. Had am iPhone where the wifi card was bad, tech at apple looked at their two water markers and said it was fine, that there was a definite issue and shed replace it. Got a call from apple saying the water marker was tripped and I'd have to pay for the replacement. I told them exactly what happened and they left me alone real quick.

... and there you go. That is the heart of my inquiry.
The initial person (counter at the store) will be irrelevant, and if people turn in Re-Locked phones, will they ultimately get charged by Verizon EXACTLY the way Apple proceeded with you.

So I found my 'lost' ELTE...

Little backstory- I lost my ELTE on my way to work about a good month and a half ago, and when I got there, I was frantic and all kinds of worried. Called and called but to no avail. Called Asurion, payed the deductible and got my new phone the next day in the evening.
Snap back to now, and I find the phone scuttled in some crevice in my parking space at my apartment complex.
The pics show the damage, but this was all about a good while ago and I know its 'blacklisted' since I reported it lost, but the phone turns on and works, aside from the scratches to your fingers.
I don't know how the damage came to it (my car must have run it over and shoved it there), but the phone is here now... Poor little guy.
Question is, what should I do? Should I fix it? Turn it in to Sprint?
Are there any digitizer replacements out for this phone yet that aren't over $70??
Just thought y'all might get a kick from this. I sure did.

I lost my E4G before and could not find it. I called Asurion for a replacement. Subsequently, I found my phone (before replacement arrived). Called and tried to cancel. They said cancellation wasn't an option. Asked them what to do since I found my phone. They said keep it. Number was not blacklisted. Kept the new phone in the box and reactivated the old one. When all is said and done, I traded in the old one towards E3D and activated the BNIB E4G.
Bottom line, call Asurion, told them you found the old phone and want to return the new. They will most likely say no. Tell them you can still use the old, but you must get it removed from blacklist. Hopefully, they can help you from there.

According to the terms you agreed to with Asurion when you made the Lost Claim, that phone is the property of Asurion now. The terms say if you ever find a lost/stolen phone, you must return it to them, otherwise it's insurance fraud.
but... if you call them and tell them you found it, and they tell you to keep it, they are giving up the ownership rights to it. then it isn't fraud anymore.
It is very sad to see an android device like that. I much rather prefer it to be an iPhone.

I sure did.

Cracked screen and other issues

Ok guys, the nightmare came true and I dropped my phone just a couple of days after getting it. Didn't have a case and cracks the top right hand corner of the screen, which doesn't affect it's usability or the touch screen. It's relatively minor but it still totally bothers me.
I also have been having overheating problems and massive battery drain. Despite my efforts to get to the bottom of it, nothing has really worked...
So my question is, do you think I will have a problem getting another handset in the Sprint store since I already dropped it? Anyone know their policy on replacing a damaged phone yet for reasons besides that... I am still within my two weeks of getting this phone and my new plan. Any insight?

In my experience with my local store, they will say that the dropping of the phone lead to the cracking of the screen as well as the internal effects you are having with it. They look for anything to get out of exchanging a handset at my local sprint shop.
I once took them an s3 that was having software issues, even after many factory resets. Instead of going ahead and replacing my device, with Mt insurance, she took the phone apart to look for water damage. The outside indicator was not showing water damage but the inside indicator was. So she said we had to file a claim. I argued with her about it, because that phone had never been dropped in water. Why would the outside indicator not show water damage but the inside show some? Anyway sprint did it right with the issue, but I'm just saying, they look for any reason not to exchange your device at no cost.

The exact same thing happened to me when I had a two-month old GS2 and I brought it into a Sprint store and asked what my options were. The nice lady behind the counter said that while technically she shouldn't help me she would be willing to swap out phones gratis. The only catch was that the new phone would be refurbished. So I went home and backed up everything and performed a factory reset. And when I returned I was able to swap out phones hassle-free. She even correctly guessed upon examination that my phone was rooted and didn't care. The refurbished phone looked brand new; the only way to tell it was refurbished was the internal flag which I checked out of curiosity. I kept the battery from the original phone; otherwise it was truly a fabulous experience.
That all said, I have a feeling that this was a rather unique set of circumstances and I really don't know what they'll say about a two-week old LG G3. I strongly suspect you're going to have more trouble than I did.
Best of luck!

im assuming you dont have insurance? idk about you guys but with framily plan i pay 50 bucks a month with unlimited and insurance. good deal. anyway YEA the same thing happened to me with my evo 3d i dropped it and my phone went crazy i couldnt mount it and it was rooted they swapped it out in the store anyway. I hear a lot of stories about bad experiences so i feel lucky to have a good store to go to. But its sure worth a try. are you doing the easy pay? a lot of times they will fix the screen for free if you are.
Sprint has always been good to me about fixing/replacing devices. I cracked my screen on a Galaxy Nexus, I took it in to the local store and they told me to come back in an hour. When i came back i was treated to a brand new screen at no additional cost. I'm just speaking for myself of course, im not saying they WONT charge you, but their customer service in my experience is very good.

I've had similar good experiences with a Sprint authorized repair center in my area but after they closed and I had to deal with a corporate store the service level dropped to what many others describe as horrible.
I guess it depends on where you end up taking the phone but I would try and stay away from corporate locations...

It's funny that this is the case, because I find the same thing here in my area. While I was with Big Red, you NEVER wanted to go anywhere but a corporate store because you would get horrible service (in THIS area), with Sprint is the absolute exact opposite, I will never go into a corporate store unless I am specifically instructed that I have to for whatever I am trying to get done. The customer service is at least here, horrible in comparison. I am actually stressin myself because my phone has started (of course on the 14th day!) to lock up every hour or so and I can't use the screen. It requires a battery pull. Everyday this phone starts to worry me a little more.

I didn't have mine on, but its a different way android handles applications on the phone. Will be the "standard" once all the bugs are worked out.
Also dropped my two-week old G3 and cracked it. LG opened an RA but no details on costs - alluded that maybe it would be free but nothing firm. :/
The ubreakifix teardown doesn't get to the screen, nor does the YouTube teardown I found. I'll assume the glass and digitizer are adhered together though; which I don't want to mess with.

Will you keep us updated? I want to know how it goes... Especially if the fix is easy and/or LG is willing to do it for free... Some reports are saying repairs are going to be very simple because of the design, but nothing spoke of the screen.
Also, where did you go to open an RA with LG? Do they give you a quote prior to working on it? I'm interested to see what I can do...
LG quoted me $154 to repair the screen. I'm not ready to take that plunge although it's in line with what I'm seeing for similar device repairs.
You can open an RA request from their support section at LG.com - I chatted with someone who opened it for me.
Just picked up my LG G3 yesterday, got 3 cases coming that should be here tomorrow (Thurs) & can't wait, phone fell out of my shirt pocket twice now but luckily I was bent over a clean basket of laundry lol. But I've been reading sprint is going to drop their prices, I got mine at bestbuy & hopefully if my bill drops by $10 I'll go ahead & get the insurance for $10 a month.
I've had very good luck at my local Sprint store. They've replaced are some questionably broken phones for $50.
As far as the screen cracking goes, I just bought an $8 iCarez tempered glass screen protector off of Amazon and it seems great so far. Easy to install and allegedly very impact resistant. I'm not willing to test out this claim quite yet ?

Crack threw it blaster

Hey,
My g3 has a crack threw the ir blaster. My question is since I have no warranty on my g3 would I be to get a replacement due to it being a manufacturer problem? I wondering because I have owned my g3 since last September not even a year. If there is a chance do I need to go threw verizon or LG? Also to note my g3 has always been in a case and the only reason it is not on the case is to swap my battery.
Thanks
You should be able to get one because it hasn't been a year since you purchased it
If you call Verizon,
a good rep will find a reports from customers with these kind of issues and be glad to send you a refurb.
I have exactly the same crack right under IR sensor, but
I declined to get it replaced because
There's a small scratch(can't really call it a crack) near bottom front side on the glass next to a LG logo.
I wonder if this small scratch would be a culprit for them to charge me $300 dollars if I do accept a replacement.
Any thoughts?
I'll post a pic later @ night.
P. S. sorry for asking this in ur thread but didn't want to start a new thread for the same issue.

Went into the store (the store I originally purchased G3) today and told the rep basically something along this line
"Hi, there is a hairline crack along the IR Sensor at top of the phone. I did a research on the Google if there has been another case like this because I've never dropped the phone as you can see (as I'm showing him the phone) and found out there are actually quite a lot. Some people have hairline cracks on the top near the IR sensor and some people have it near the mic sensor at the bottom."
"I also found a forum on Verizon that they are aware of this issues and replacing them"
"I was wondering if you guys could replace the phone"
He then went to ask the manager if they can replace the phone and manager was asking how long have I had a phone for and I replied, "For 2 months."
Oh, the rep asked if there's any other problem other than the hairline crack or because of it
and I simply answered, "No, but I do not want to have problems in the future because of this if you understand where I am getting at."
He said, "I totally get it, just wait here for a minute, we will send out a replacement phone for you."
So, they should be sending it out on Monday or Tues and I should be getting it by next Friday at the latest.
Total time it took was less than 10 mins.
Hassle free!
OR
You could go for LG option, too. Basically, give them a call about it and when confirmed, they would want you to send the phone to a repairing facility.
However, you would be without a phone meanwhile
So, keep in mind
There's also a thread on this in General
http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/help/hairline-crack-case-t2902968
What's the link to the forum about verizon replacing them? I went to Verizon and the person told me to send it to lg, but I don't want to be phone less.
