Update the description? - Nexus Player Accessories

The Accessories subforum description says "(cases, screen protectors, batteries, etc)" and none of those actually apply here. Maybe (controllers, keyboards, ethernet dongles, etc.)?

Fixed

I think it's already understood that accessories covers that as well...

If we're on the topic of edits, this is in the main description
Released in October 2014, it is the predecessor to the Nexus Q

OFFICIAL Nexus 10 2 specs and pic!!!

Straight from Google Play Store:

I really like the RAM amount and the Snapdragon 800 cpu.
I'm definitely getting one of these!
Speakers
I really hope this is just a design some one has done as I would really miss the front facing speakers make the decision weather to get it that bit harder

The original source of the story, phonearena.com has cast doubt on it since the picture was photo shopped and they checked their records on the tipster: (I cannot post links yet, but it was easy to find with Google)
From their article:
UPDATE: After a more extensive research, we believe that these are likely fake. This is not simply because the icons on the Nexus 10 2013 were obviously added later -- this could have been done for illustrative purposes anyway. It's because, after delving deep into our tips database, we concluded that this particular tipster has a track record of sending content of dubious authenticity

I am not saying either is fake, and I am hopeful it is announced/released soon, but phonearena added a caveat to their story, and it is the source all the other's are quoting or copying from. So I remain hopeful but suspect.
I hope it isn't fake, but who knows?
I do find it really odd that there have been so many Nexus 5 leaks but nothing on the new 10 yet.
The designs leaked so far look superb, and I would definitely be wanting to get one.

Have to agree with you on those two points.
The only things I don't like are the cost and all the Samsung bloatware. Not sure if I'd use the S pen either....

I thought that, until I used it for a week. Now the bloatware is coolware in how S pen integrates with the environment so well.
After using a system that has S Pen, I'm not sure I could work without one.
I used a capacitive stylus with my Nexus 10, and seriously there is NO COMPARISON to S Pen. S Pen has the ability to register the pressure and more, so the ability to the graphic artist is a leap over SIMPLE TOUCH.
Yeah, it's that cool, if you'll use the stylus. Even casual note taking is great.
I think this is the reason Microsoft added it to the Surface 2.
Touch alone is sooo 2009/2010.
I would not get a tablet with such a tiny bezel. I love the Nexus 10's bezel. The rounded sides are also quite nice. I think it's highly underrated.

Seems there is zero leaks or any real info about the N10... I don't think its launching with N5. I think it might release closer to xmas..

I don't think they would release a Nexus device without a major Android update and I don't think they would release updates so close together...but I could be wrong.

Oh.. I think you'll see TWO new Nexus 10 models.
Nexus 10 from Samsung with existing specifications and 64GB.
Nexus 10 from Samsung with 64GB and unlocked sim LTE.
The 16GB will be retired (just like the Nexus 7 8GB edition was). 32GB will be the new low end.
Just like the Nexus 7 line that had the 32GB and 3G/HSPA+ models silently release, the Nexus 10 updates will also be a silent release (no launch party).
But with the changes, you'll see the pricing drop so that the 64GB is close to the same pricing the 32GB is currently.
Launch party will be Nexus 5 and Kitkat 4.4
I have to give my friends Samsung Note 10.1 2014 edition back this week. Based on the experience, the S Pen truly compels, but I'm going to stick with my N10 for a while longer. July 2014 is when you'll likely see the N10 2014 edition.
I thought Asus was making the new Nexus 10.

Are they? Posted on their website yet?
You are reading media hype until it actually ships.
Lets see the proof:
1. Point of sale system shows "ASUS" made N10. Has anyone entering data for stores/warehouses never made a mistake, not once?
2. Leaked Press "render". If I was part of the press, I could photo-chop all sorts of tablets and say it's a render based on educated guesses. Stretch an ASUS N7 and folks looking at it would say, "hey that looks like ASUS!"
Questions:
A. Where are the parts order news items you normally see with the ramp up of a product? Usually there'll be leaks of the back shell, etc.
B. Samsung wouldn't have this as they are not just a parts assembly company, it's all in house for the most part. ASUS would have LDC panel orders, etc. Yet it's oddly quiet.
C. What was Sundar Pichai saying? Sure the head of Chrome and Android teams could be wrong, or his quote was taken out of context by Amir Efrati.

Hmm. No wireless charging but it has a USB C port. Not sure if I want to upgrade from the Nexus 6. Looks like I'll wait for the reviews since it will probably be like all other nexus phones and extremely hard to get at launch.

I can't believe it won't have wireless charging!
Does it really have to do with the metal body? Doesn't the s6 have a metal body?
Otherwise, all around solid phone!

No wireless charging is not a deal breaker for me, but I'll wait for confirmation in 3 days rather than believe what's being presented in this video.
Sweet! Like the USB C, battery size, etc.
They're the first manufacturer to actually list the SD 810 as the v2.1 version. Seems they're well aware of the issues its been facing

I hope this phone works on verizon
I love wireless charging... Especially in the car it is just so convenient. Count me in as dissapointed...
It appears Huawei has *NO* phones with wireless charging, so it is likely the N6p really won't have it. That's a major deal breaker for me. That's the most important feature in years. I have 5 wireless charging bases, including three in my house plus work and car. If I wanted a phone circa 2012 I'd buy an iPhone. Now, to research other phablets...

Probably because all of their phones have metal casing, can't charge wirelessly through metal.
Is the camera area actually raised, or does it just look that way? It seems like it would make making cases for it difficult. Also, I'm interested to see what the overall dimensions of the phone are. The top and bottom bezels look very large to me. If it's the same size as the current Nexus 6, that's a lot of wasted space. I really couldn't care less about the finger print sensor, or lack of wireless charging.

V2 was the first mass production revision, which was present in both the LG G Flex 2, and HTC One M9
...
Meanwhile there were rumors floating around of a new revision due to show up in the summer, and it appears that this is the rumored revision. This leads me to question whether it made sense to release devices with the v2 revision, especially if future revisions would have resolved some notable issues and dramatically improved SoC performance. I also question whether OEMs would silently introduce these SoCs into later production runs of products that first shipped with v2, which is yet another can of worms.
Putting these questions aside, this new revision brings much-needed improvements to the Snapdragon 810, and should go a long way as a stop-gap until Snapdragon 820 begins shipping. We'll see how the change from v2 to v2.1 affects performance on a higher level in our Xiaomi Mi Note Pro review coming shortly.

so HTC said they are using the v2.1, just like how qualcomm said there's no heat issue with the 810, how credible do you think those words are? by your logic, do you have to know someone with a Z4/Z3+ to know that it overheats?

Nobody claimed that it doesn't overheat!
OnePlus made a big fuss about v2.1 but they underclocked it to remedy the heat issue. Plus it's a thick phone with a plastic back so you don't feel it as much as you would with a metal phone which conducts heat or a thin phone like the Sony!

Is LG has contracted with another company to produce accessories

I read the news about the LG company gave a company the right to produce some accessories such as higher capacity batteries. Is that correct ?
ارسلت من LG G4
Not particularly to batteries, but there will be 3rd Party modular accessories, we're hoping there's 3rd Party single batteries with a higher capacity as well.
If LG really wants this whole 'friends' thing to be successful they need to allow third party manufacturer modules and maybe even standardize it across devices in the LG lineup.

Yes, I agree. Can't wait to see some cases with built in extra batteries and gamepads etc. If its just LG, it will take too long and by that time, we will be on the G6.

Yep, especially since LG hasn't stated that they were looking to release any more accessories anytime soon. But who knows, maybe they will!
You must move LG in this regard. It was decided to allow a corporate job accessories such as batteries, for example ..

Really??? I don't think so..
I would have to imagine LG would encourage other companies to produce modules for the phone. It would make their product more attractive without spending any money themselves. We'll just have to wait and see if anybody thinks it's worth the cost to produce them.

RhinoShield SolidSuit for OnePlus 5

Recently, I was looking for a case for my OnePlus 5 and RhinoShield brand drew my attention. I am not a huge fan of bumpers, because I like overall protection so I decided to find something else. When I was looking at the offer of this company I found a series of good looking cases - SolidSuit - but unfortunately available only on Apple devices. It will be great if they also make SolidSuit cases for our OnePlus 5. One of the ways to show our interest is join to a poll, which is attached to this post. I believe that we can do it

Do you think at the 24 second mark that foldable is real ? it looks awesome
Looking forward to see the final release but be prepared for sticker shock, likely to be the most expensive device ever.
It'll be interesting, but it's going to take a few device generations to evolve...
There is a fold cut in centre of the display and the bezels are too big in this and we can't expect flagship specs in this foldable smartphone.

I think that the foldable stuff in the long run is going to be used more for wearable gear than it is for the phones themselves. Think like a bracer type device or clothing like materials.
