Motorola Highlight Reel - X 2014 Themes and Apps

In case you don't know about it yet, Motorola has included Highlight Reel in the Motorola Moto X. After making a video there is a reel symbol at the top right of the video (see in the picture below). Press the symbol and Highlight Reel will automatically create an edited video with music. You can either just save the one it created or do your own editing. Yesterday I recorded a 1:17 min video and I pressed the Highlight Reel symbol, named it and saved it; nothing else. A 28 second edited version was created with music. This is an extremely fast way to make an edited version of your videos and there are options to make your own version. Below is the edited version.
BTW: Hightlight Reel will not work with a 4K video

[Q] CROP button in contacts editor. Why it doesn't work ?

Hello,
When I apply photos for my contacts on HTC HD2 I use contacts editor. Often photos are big and for contacts I need only people's face. So I use pinch-to-zoom and place contacts frame around face. Then I noticed when I look contacts list the photos look blurred for some time. I think this happens because HTC HD2 loads whole big photos in memory. Then after some time photos of contacts gets looking clear.
In contacts editor there is a small "crop" button in the upper-left corner.
As how many times I tried to press it - no success.
What is this button for ? Why it doesn't work ?
I suppose that button should crop photos, but It doesn't work!
its not a button, its the title of the crop screen.
based on that image you posted,,, drag the part of the image you want into the square, the womans head, say, use two finger zoom to make it a little bigger, then centralize it,, and when you're happy with what is in the highlighted square press done.

Contacts - viewing and editing

Does anyone know if there is a tool available to view/edit contacts NOTES so that you see more than just one line at a time (esp when viewing).
If there is a large note attached to the contact it's very annoying when you can only see a line (or line and half in case of editing). Virtually impossible to find the information you are looking for.
When editing I find I can see one line and then bottom part of the line on top. If I try to scroll across the line at the top sometime dissappears because its virtually impossible to scroll by movinng your finger in a perfect horrizontal line.
Ideally I would like to be able to view an entire page of the NOTES field.

[Q] How to save a scribed picture from gallery ?

Imagine you downloaded an image from Google images and you want to add some scribble and notes to this image with Flyer's pen
Ok, how to save this picture ? i can not seem to find a method to save the scribed image ? The only method I can find is sharing this picture to email or somewhere else but sometimes the scribed image transferred sometimes it sends the pictures untouched unscribed.
Any ideas ?
It works fine with web sites and notes etc, I can not seem to find a workable solution on downloaded pictures from web.
Can you take a screenshot and scribble like that?
Something else I've done is save the image, and open it in the HTC scribe notes and scribble on there. Once I get home, I'll play around with it and I will let you know!
doublecheese -
The easiest way I know of is to take a screenshot. Obviously you cannot simply tap the screen with the pen if you’re already scribbling, but there is a built in hard key combination to accomplish the task - you’re going to need two hands…
1) Press and hold the power button
2) Quickly tap the Home Icon along the bezel.
This takes a screenshot and dumps it into the Camera Shots folder/directory.
Works in either landscape or portrait, and is only method I found so far to take a shot of any screen that’s already using the pen drawing functionality. If you don’t want the pen tools in the picture you have to tap them out before taking the screenshot.
The only drawback I can think of is that the image resolution is capped at the screen resolution - which is not an issue if you’re annotating a web screenshot from a pen tap, but if you’re doodling over a 5 MP image it will be limiting.
By the way, whenever I attempt to send an inked photo from within the gallery via email, Bluetooth, etc., there’s always a dialog asking if I want to send the ink as part of the image, perhaps you’ve inadvertently not chosen that option in the past? I only ask because in a month of nearly daily use the Flyer’s never failed to send out an inked image on my behalf.
Hope the preceding information was helpful.

[Q] Painting multiline text on image

Hi,
I'm trying to develop a simple application to add a caption into a image, but I have a problem that I've no idea how to solve it.
The app is simple: I click on a TextView, an AlertDialog pops-up with a EditText, I insert some text, click at "ok" and it sets that text as the textview.
Then comes my problem: I click on a save button and it saves the image with that caption on my sd card. If it's a short text, everything's fine, but on text's that have more than one line it shows everything on only one line. So, if it's a long text, instead of breaking it according to the image's width and continuing into a new line, it just keeps going off the screen.
I'm using canvas.drawText to do it, but it doesn't support line breaks so I'm pretty lost about this.
Is there another way to do this that supports line break? Or a way to break the string into a new line and then use drawText?
I found a simple solution.
Instead of drawing the text on the image, I just drawed the view. I got almost the same result and in a simple way!
displaying it as a view is a great idea, but I would suggest one more thing - you can measure the text and draw it in next lines.

Looking for a program to macro inputs

I'm looking for a macro program that can look at the screen and read from a list of commands to execute that include pictures to reference. For example I'm playing a game where you can tap on an item and select what to do and involves moving around a map.
