[ROM]Stock ZV4 Base Odex & Deodex - Sprint LG G3

Stock ZV4 Base RomThis is just a base Stock Rom to flash in Recovery. This should save you from Flashtool.
Anyone can use this as a base. All I ask is credit for the base Rom
Additional info:
Odexed - O and Deodexed - D
I added busybox to this.
Also folder for data, no worries for now
V1 Odexed - It is rooted, but you still need to add SuperSU from the Playstore.
V2 Odexed and V1 Deodexed have Root installed
No kernel is installed yet - but I'm working on that. Stock shouldn't require Bump.
BACKUP YOUR EFS FIRST!!! it's in the FAQ.
Reinstall the ROM before trying what's written below this. It's worked multiple times now - Sprint bloat should download while setup or on reboot.
If all the Sprint crap doesn't dl when you set it up, you'll need to do ##UPDATE# in the dialer. It'll reboot then start dl'ing Sprint stuff
Install:
In recovery, Wipe /system, /data, /cache, and /dalvic. So in TWRP, select Wipe, then Advanced, and check those 4. DO NOT select Internal Storage or ext SD!!
Flash the zip
Profit!!

Flashable Stock ZV4 Kernel with init.d support - HUGE thanks to @HPTesla and xiaolu for this!
Stock_ZV4 Kernel
Odexed:
StockZV4_O_V2 - SuperSU is already installed - This is to make sure you have the right one
StockZV4_O
Deodexed: - First boot can take up to 4 minutes.
StockZV4_D_V1 - SuperSU is already installed
Thanks to @clark44 whose updater-script I had to look at.

Yup. I like to have an easy way to get back to stock.
It still needs some sprucing up which I'll get to in the next few weeks. Life :silly:

Been also trying to build but just can't get the damn thing to boot. New at lg devices so still reading to find out what the hell I'm missing. Good work.

My wifi calling is working fine on all three of these Roms.
BUT, I flashed each ROM at least twice yesterday and everything went smooth. But today, none of them are dl'ing the Sprint crap. Wifi calling still works though.
I just added this to the OP earlier, but probably try ##UPDATE# in the dialer and see if that works,
Also, make sure you have an actual address and it says location found or something like that. And also make sure your commas are in the right place.

Factory stock with root. If someone else doesn't make a slimmed one I will shortly.
You can remove apps from the zip if you know which apps are safe. Use 7zip.

I've noticed my system storage is at a whopping 9.42gb with only 21gb available, is that normal?

That's not /system. It's only 2gigs. That's /data so check TWRP folder. I bet it's at least 3-5 gigs depending.
Edit. /system is actually 2.8 gigs

[ROM][2-23-2012]TPC Note v2 | rooted |deodexed | tweaked

Hi Here is a Odin flashable system.img.ext4, it is based on the AT&T Galaxy Note Stock rom. There is not a kernel included with the rom, I would suggest flashing either the rooted stock kernel from Da_G or even better flash his super awesome overclocked kernel. For now, there is only an AT&T version....I need some system dumps from the Rogers and Telus versions in order to make roms for them. If you have one of these phones and are willing to help out send me a pm. If you would like to test my beta versions, come on over to IRC and hang out with Da_G and I there will be plenty of stuff to test.

v2 changelog
--fixed google music
--added ics bootanimation
--added extended power menu
--added crt off animation
--added sysro and sysrw to /system/xbin/
--enabled tether
--increased dalvik cache to 152m
Changelog v1:
-fully deodexed system and framework
-rooted with su and busybox installed
-some att bloatware removed(most comes from recovery partition, it will be removed later).
-init.d support
-zip align script to auto zip align all new apks
-add lib files to support Da_G's overclock kernel
I recommend you do a factory reset just after flashing with Odin

How To Install With Odin:
First...use winrar to unzip the .7zip rom file, inside you will find a pda-xxx.tar file
Da_G said:
You may need the USB Drivers available here. (Support & Downloads for SGH-I717)
Once the USB Drivers are installed, power off the phone, then hold volume down and power it on, you'll get a screen asking you to hit vol up to continue, do so. This puts the phone in download mode.
Stick the provided pda-xxx.tar in the PDA box of Odin3 1.85, flash away!
Note that this will increase your flash counter, which is presumably used by Samsung as a reason to decline warranty service (not aware of any reports of this occuring yet...?)

Yes, it does mean you don't have to push the libraries OC at 1.83 should be stable for most everyone and have pretty decent battery life. Let me know if the tar flashes ok with Odin, I am on linux and can't test it myself.

Extract "TPC_Note_Att_v1.7z" using a program like winrar.
Out comes a file that should be named "pda-odin-system.tar" that is 790 megabytes.
Put it in the PDA section then flash away.
Reboot should take a little longer than normal, be patient. Then do a factory reset in Settings -> Privacy
does it increase the flash counter though ?
Anyone want to post some results?
Will DL and give it a run in a few hours. Great to see Roms popping up already

[ROM][GT-N7105]#--EmptyStock--#[Stock][Root][Deox][10 Nov]

Hello N7105 owners,
DISCLAIMER:
By reading this post, downloading any of the links, or acting on it in anyway you accept full responsibility for the outcome. I strongly suggest you do not download this ROM but that's just my opinion.
What this is:
This is EE's (UK operator)(formally Orange & T-Mobile) stock ROM for the GT-N7105 or Galaxy Note 2 LTE International - N7105XXXALIJ
Stock Kernel
Rooted
Busybox
Fully deodexed
Zip aligned
Some bloatware removed. (Light version)
What you would need:
Custom recovery (CWM) <-- See other threads for the how-to I might post a link later.
What you would do:
Download .zip
While waiting... it's big (sorry) ... do a nandroid <-- Google it.
Put .zip onto external SD Card (internal would be fine too but I think if you full wiped it'd get deleted and your panties would twist)
Flash .zip
Wait... remember it's big (sorry)
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Reboot
Enjoy
What else you would want to do:
Flash a different Kernel - there's only one floating around for now.
Use a storage data swap - two options
Use performance scripts, see around there are lots and they'll work best with a different kernel with init.d support - there is a thread with an how-to for getting support with any kernel/ROM and I tried it but failed. I didn't try hard.
Wipe Data - this shouldn't be necessary as your phone will already be on a stock ROM.
What I would like you to do:
Make themes and I'll link them in post 2
Tell me what default apps you want back or what taken away.
Post links to other stock ROMs you'd like made more convenient (that's all this is btw because it's no different than rooting etc yourself after the fact).
Talk about N7105 development - we all want proper Dev support and built from source roms.
What I don't want you to do:
Expect anything from me.
Flash this thinking it's something special, or that I'm a dev, or think that this is counts as actual development.

Tbh until there's been some discussion about what should be in and what should be out the light version is not recommended. There's literally too many apps and too many Samsung goodies to know whats right to remove.
The once we agree on the best minimum apps for a base, I'll just use that for updates and the other apps can come in a range flashable packages.
For now the recommended way to debloat is just use titanium backup.

Those few who have downloaded the Light version, how is it? Did it boot? I remove anything that needs putting back in? Is there anything still there you would consider bloat?
Is the bloated version deodexed, zip aligned etc?
Yes. The only difference is a number of system apps are removed in the light version.

Should have ALJ4 uploaded tomorrow.
Edit:
Dang the re branding broke s note. Can't fix until tomorrow. Probably just need to push a different s note app (has someone optimised that awful app yet?)
It's uploading anyway if it doesn't fail I'll post link but flashing it without at least removing the s note app will result in infinite FCs. It's otherwise untested.

I'm running this Rooted with Civ's Kernel @ 1,800 MHz .. and it's PERFECTION..
You can freeze any of Touchwiz/Samsung bloat apps you don't want.. Install any of the cool apps requiring root but, still have full functionality of the S-Pen ( and all S-Pen Apps/Gestures etc ) and keep the cool apps like IR Blaster, Muti-View etc.. and be 100% Rock Stable with EVERYTHING working... Like a Stock ROM Should be.....
It's the Best of Both Worlds.. :good:
Wireless n functionality with this rom in the us?
Does anyone know if this rom will have the full wireless n ability? I did root and install civ's and lost my wireless n. I have also read through some of the threads about 5ghz and changing a few things in the etc file and they have not worked for me.

So does this mean that all international ROMs should work with our device? Pretty sure the hardware is identical (although I might be wrong - correct me if I am) so I see no reason why they wouldn't. Would love some insight from someone with more knowledge, however.

I am running it and it works Absolutely perfectly! If anyone is also having a problem with Shealth working after installing Xposed it seems to fix it. Just a few warning thought that I thought I would post.
1) After flashing it will flash all your internal storage - Backup everything first, Also I would move the zip to an external Sdcard before flashing.
2) Even if you select no wipe in aroma while upgrading, it still seems to wipe everything including your internal storage.

Yeah, I was thinking about trying to get permissions of a few international roms to try and alter the upater script and edit a few things to make them more compatible with the us roms.
There are several INT'L ROMs that work great with TMO USA S5.

Just flash it!
I'm assuming that WIFI calling does NOT work with this ROM, correct?

Wifi calling is a tmobile specific addition, so won't be included in international roms.

I have flashed EVERY ROM that has been posted on the International S5 threads and they all work with the TMOBILE S5
Alliance Rom is phenomenal - Omega is great - so is Echo - The only thing yoiu have to get used to is that you lose WiFi calling. I am using a TMOBILE S5 on the ATT network so it doesn't matter to me anyway - ATT doesn't support WiFi calling - but to be honest, the benefits of flahsing these roms far outweighs the benefits of Wifi Calling. (IMHO anyway)
NO special steps are needed - EXCEPT - when you flash an International ROM be prepared - they do usually wipe the Internal SD card. So make a back up of the important files (like Titanium Backup for example)
while we wait for TMO development to get underway - at least you have a few very good roms you can play with.
Good luck and happy flashing!
Hey guys, just posted the first (very basic) version of my project infinity Rom in the development forum. It is based on the t mobile framework, not international, so has WiFi calling etc. I plan to update it quite a bit. Also, it doesn't wipe the SD card upon install.

Sweeet! I ran a few Int'l Roms on my Note 3 also. I edited the updater script so that it wouldn't format the internal storage.

Any plans to get flash working?
I am downloading the ROM, so far it looks good and I did not want to lose the wi-fi calling options so I've held off on the other ROMs so far.

Install International ROMs on T-Mobile/Canadian Galaxy S5!

I know many of you are waiting for T-Mobile S5 custom ROMs.
Well, just like the Galaxy S4, you can also install international S5 custom ROMs on the T-Mobile/Canadian Galaxy S5 as they share the same hardware. This means you have a ton more custom ROMs you can install, also get Wifi Tether working out of the box on international ROMs. (Wifi Calling will be gone of course as international ROMs don't have that feature)
I just installed Alliance ROM for SM-G900F on my T-Mo S5, works flawless 100%, here's a video demo of it running:
I know this isn't a common knowledge for many noobs out there so I thought I would share and opens you up to a whole new world of custom ROMing.
The only feature I will be missing is wifi calling and HD call. I don't care about HD voice, but wifi calling is a must because I travel over sea a lot and wifi calling keep me not roaming and charges. I wish we can enable wifi calling on international rom.

Yeah, I won't be using any ROMs that don't have wifi calling. At least not in the near future.
It's good to know... Thanks

Disclaimer, flashing an international rom on the tmo variant, will wipe your internal SD even if you choose not to.

I saw someone edit the updater script so it wont wipe internal sd but its diff updater scripts on some roms

Yes international Roms work ... Omega has a rom out that is starting to have tweeks and I posted a thread about it 2 days after the s5 came out but a moderator moved it from this thread and over to the general thread cause it was not a tmobile rom.

I dont know ive flash a couple of international roms. And my internal sd data was not wipe. oh wait I did format internal sd by TWRP 2700. That may or may not have something to do with it.
Welcome to the party!

That is true for MOST International ROMS - but it doens't happen on XNOTE - and I learned there is a way to modify the updater-script so that it won't delete.
Just extract the Updater-script - open it in notepad - remove this phrase: mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/mmcblk0p25", "/preload");
delete_recursive("/preload")) and then save it as a script again. put it back into the Meta-Inf folder, replacing the original and you are good to go.
I have modified the Omega Rom and few others and successfully flashed without wiping SD Card.
Having said all of that - one of the reasons I was flashing Interenational roms was because there weren't any TMOBILE ROMS - now we have this ROM and it is quite good - but if you have the flashing urge - you can try those steps and it should work for you .....
Good luck...hope this is useful....

I am going on what I was told by someone else - who obvioulsly knows more about this than me. I am not a developer so I am a bit unsure exactly - I can follow instructions when doing things like this - but I don't know what exactly I am doing - your comment sounds right though - but it is better answered by someone who knows more about this than me -
and by the way - XNOTE does not wipe SD Card - and the guy who did ECHOES said that on future updates he would modify the script so that it didn't wipe our SD cards either.
i had alliance for a couple and it works fine but some of the new roms give you option for kernels...
can we also install different kernels?
thanks
I installed the Shohat Rom v3. Very debloated and fast and smooth. No bell and whistles but you can install wanam and get mods.
