Inateck BP 2001
I really love this product and has impressed me very much. The sound is much, much, more than what I expected!
The design is excellent.
The front of the speaker has a honeycomb design. To me it makes the speaker look very silky sleek. The dual 1.5" speakers are great. It has 2 speakers, most others have one. This makes for a much more pure sound. The overall sound is great, and the bass weighs in perfectly. It is much louder than what you would expect, from something so small! It weighs 332g, very light for the great sound it produces. The buttons have a nice solid feel. The casing is also a sleek feel and doesn't attract fingerprints to bad. It is very easily paired. I paired it with my Galaxy Note 3 and also my daughters S3 Both devices paired instantly. It takes around 4 hours to charge it from a completely dead state. The battery life is excellent, it lasts me about 7 hours every time. The battery inside is a built-in 800mAh rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. The hands free telephone calls option is also very nice. It stops the playback when receiving an incoming call, then resumes playback after hanging up. The sound quality on this option is also excellent and very clear.
The major selling points for me are high quality with a better price. It really does have good pure, true sound. It is super compact, with high-quality workmanship, strong bass and a super clear sound. My recommendation is it is a huge winner.
Effective performance: 5 Watts x2
It comes with:
x1-micro-USB cable
x1-AUX cable (this will connect to devices without Bluetooth)
x1-Carrying Bag
x1-Manual
You can get one from Amazon or Inateck directly.

Any idea on Altec Lansing Backbeat 906 ????

~I've heard about this Altec Lansing Wireless bluetooth headset (903 and the 906) which looks pretty slick and if anyone is into audio, he would know the quality of altec lansing.
I am just wondering about its compatibility with the blackstone.
If anyone has tested it, could you just let us know ...
or maybe i myself will update this by buyin one very soon as I have great faith in altec lansing.

No idea but it looks real nice. Please let us know how you get on with it...
Standards
There are standards wich a bluetooth headphone has to follow. If this device is calling itself Bluetooth Headset it should support A2DP (For the audio data itself) and AVRCP (for control of the device: Play, Pause, Next etc.). A WinMO Phone is nearly always supporting both of them. (Even my Prophet does in WM 5, 6.1 and 6.5) so the Blackcomb should do so as well. When looking for Bluetooth Hardware check Jabra too....all my Bluetooth audio stuff is by Jabra.
i used to have a JABRA BT8010 - it was 'good', but the quality of the speakers was rather 'thinny', barely any lower frequencies, despite using the inbuilt DSPs equalizing features. not to mention that the ear-holders were rather a pain in the ass and cut into my ears. But as a true geek one takes it like a real techno-phile and lives with it.
The positive thing on the JABRA BT8010 was that it could link up to TWO sources at once. something i miss on the backbeat 903 - why's that important? cos i stream my desktop-PC's music library via bluetooth adapter into my ears while am in/around the house, since my PDA-phones 16gigs microSD can hold roughly about 1-2% of my VAST library of songs ;-)
anyhoo, i bought the BACKBEAT 903 and have to say that the sound quality is by far better. (BT 2.0+EDR and the rest of the music-/player-control protocols). the 903 can get really loud. the in-ear rubber-pieces can be removed but you loose a major portion of sound quality.
advertised is the battery lifetime by 7 hours...I'd guess it's a bit less but havent "timed" it yet.
hope it helps a bit further

Altec Lansing Backbeat 906 works great with blackstone, i got one today. bought on ebay. cost me something around 80bugs $. so bluetooth found Altec Lansing Backbeat 906 well, there was no problem at all. music quality is fantastic, even in talk. it takes calls with one touch on left ear, if you press longer it holds call...., every function works with blackstone. sound notification is clear...
just a great earphones.

Modded Sennheiser CX200

Fitted the ear buds from my 2 day old CX200,s onto the stock HTC mic/earphones cable.
It was very easy to do and a great improvement over the standard phones.
I could never get the standard phones to stay in my ear properly and were very uncomfortable (small ears I guess).
Anyway here is the pic,s , let them do the talking

Great job! I was just going about to do this but at the plug end. I was going to connect the extUSB plug to my current headphones, but this is a lot better.
I will never doubt the reasons for the hacks people do...some just do it for the hell of it and I am all for that.
But....I have to ask: Why?
3n1 adapter...and no re-wireing.
But excellently cool that you did it...although it is not really clear what you did. Did you take the tiny ear speakers and put them in the stock headphone cases or...?

I have the 3in1 adapter, but I think it is to bulky when travelling on the train and I can not use the stock speakers as they keep falling out of my ear and they are uncomfortable for me.
What I have done, is remove the stock speakers from the stock cable and then fitted Sennheiser cx200(these are the in-ear type) speaker to the stock cable.
So now I have the best of both worlds, stock cable with mic, dont have to use bulky 3in1 adapter when out n about and better fit/sound quality for my ears.
did you get improved audio quality as well? or was it bottlenecked by the HTC wireing?

Well I am not sure about the wiring, I was talking about CX200 ear-buds sounding much better on the stock HTC cable, than the stock HTC earphones on the stock HTC cable.
I could hardly hear any low end sounds with the stock HTC earphones.
To me both cables sound very similar, maybe the HTC cable possibly not being just as loud, could be the in-line volume control or volume not being set right when being encoded to mp3.
The CX200 sound ok for budget range and my ears would not be the best for judging sound quality(years of extremely loud music - raves 1989 - 1995) and a bit of tinnitus.
Aha. Cool idea.
I have the same problem...small ears and the earphones are for some giant head.
I use some over ear buds with the 3in1 adapter.
Getting the bluetooth "dogtag" adapter in the mail shortly.

Speaker dock

Anybody find a decent speaker/dock system for the Gtab? Something like this:
http://the-gadgeteer.com/2010/11/15/jensen-jips-250i-ipad-speaker-dock/
We're not likely see anything like that for the g tablet unfortunately: there just isn't a large enough user base for mainstream accessory manufacturers to be interested.
Welcome to life on the fringes.
Funny, i was at Target thinking the same thing. I saw this same item and had hoped I could find some thing similar for the GTab.
I wish the basic dock had audio out. I was thinking about leaving the dock and a set of PC speakers here in my office. Not as elegant, but effective.
Get hdmi speakers.

I said the same thing a while back but found pricier speakers that used hdmi in the end.
Has anybody tried using some portable bluetooth speakers with the Gtab?
These look interesting. I'm not really looking for a booming system. Just want something I can take on vacation to enhance the stock, internal speakers.

look for a set of good quality PC speakers. Sound is great and they are fairly small.
Just ordered one of these:

Let us know how those Altec Lansings work. I'm curious about having a portable speaker system that I can take on trips as well.
Will do. In the meantime, here's the video that convinced me to give it a shot. The price isn't bad at all either - just $25 shipped.

Creative has a portable bluetooth speaker: D100
http://us.store.creative.com/Creative-D100-Portable-Bluetooth-Wireless-Speaker/M/B003N9SR00.htm
I have the Creative D200 and the Creative ZiiSound D5 which are both excellent.
I also use the Belkin stereo bluetooth dongle which works well:

That bluetooth dongle looks pretty sweet. Any complaints about the range on it?

Jumbl bluetooth receiver for wired headphones

I haven't seen anyone post this on here yet -
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GJW1HDM/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I grabbed one of these a month or two ago - it's great. 10-12 hours on a charge, 15-30 foot range. When I'm at the gym I don't want a ridiculously large Note strapped to my arm or weighing down my pocket (if my shorts even have one) - and when I'm walking around I'm taking phone in and out of pockets - since our headphone jack is on the top, this gets annoying. Instead I just plug my headphones into this guy, clip it to a shirt/jacket/short pocket and am good to go. It has volume control, skip fwd/back, and works flawlessly. At the gym I just leave my phone next to the rack or on a ledge or whatever and go to town.
Highly recommended!
Oh - I also use one of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00727FE5U/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1 .... connected to some mobile speakers that have ipod dock + headphone input jack, but no built-in bluetooth. Also works perfectly. Lots of hotel room/resort pool/beach use kinda stuff.
Cheers!
I picked up one of these a few days ago and love it. I gave up on trying to find a set of BT ear buds for now, I really like the Tone+ but I tried 3 different sets and 2 different Note 3s and could not get rid of the skipping. It didn't matter which music player I used and it still skipped if I streamed music or playing it directly from the device. I tried the Backbeat Go 2 but they hurt my ears after a short time and would not stay in very well. With the Jumbl receiver I can use any of the nice ear buds that I already have. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a different way to listen to music. It is very small, light and lasts a long time per charge.

Choetech Wireless Headphones v4.1

I tried out the Cheotech Wireless Headphones today with my Pixel. I charged the headphones before testing and here is my review.

1x - headphone
1x - charging cord
2x - other sizes for your ears
1x - pair of extra ear hooks.
Pairing the device:
The first time you turn on the headphones it will go into pairing mode. After you've paired it and want to put it into pairing mode, simply hold down the power button wait for it to notify that the headphones are one, continue holding the button and it will tell you that it is ready to pair. The headphones will appear as BH-003
Setup:
The setup on the Nexus Pixel and this headphone was simple - once it was pairing mode, I turned my phone's bluetooth on and waited about 10seconds for the phone to find the headphones and it paired and was ready to go.
Sound:
I played a few different genres of music - house, rock, rap/r&b and have to say that the sounds is clear. You definitely hear the vocals clearly( I was even able to hear the talking from "Give it up" by Pepper). Another big thing I noticed is it really pumps out the base if you your song has any bit of base in it. Some may like that, others may not. Just know that it will bump it regardless. I'm not sure about the noise cancellation with these headphones. I tapped my desk while playing music and didn't hear anything but that was also the case when I used some Shure Noise Isolation earphones.
Build:
The original ear piece fit my ears ok so I don't have any complaints but I don't have particularly big or small ears. It took a little bit to get the proper placement into my ear but once it was in there was a nice seal and it held in place. It's very lightweight and it didn't fall out when I moved around - though I didn't go any running with them. The earphones are rubberized so I'm guessing it is will stand up to sweat.
Overall, I'd recommend these headphones for working out - the music is clear but heavy base. The cord won't get in the way of your running or lifting. It's also nice a lightweight so you don't really notice it too much aside form the cord.
