Greenify 2.5 beta 2 don't turn off display in impulse mode - Greenify

Hi there,
Last beta don't turn off display after hibernate in bost mode.
In root mode works fine.
Verified admin privileges

Same issue here with today's beta. Boost mode enabled, hibernate+lock screen shortcut only hibernate. Verified admin privileges for greenify.

+1 here.

Yep.

Running a Nexus 7 2013 with Cyanogenmod 11 Official with current nightly. Also running a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (SM-G730V) on Verizon running 4.4.2 Stock Firmware but rooted with Towelroot, using Super SU 2.14 with Xposed installed. Can also confirm the Hibernate + Lock shortcut does not lock the screen on either system. It hibernates the apps and I get a toast message saying as much, but the screen refuses to shut off. On both systems I verified SuperSU had granted permission to Greenify and that Greenify was enabled as an administrator under security settings. If you need any logs, let me know and I'll be glad to help.

Same here. Hibernate + lock screen does not work in any mode. Hibernate apps, but screen still on. Alps a9500 stock Chinese rom.

i'm using xperia z2, apps hibernated but screen wont turn off

My Nexus 4 also has the same issue. @oasisfeng, it seems that 2.5 beta 2 is having a bug.

My Nexus 5 also has the same issue.

+1
Only works in root mode ..

Facebook notifications on CM9 A2

Anyone have it working? I have it set to 30 mins and have a ringtone selected but nothing ever shows up. Now on my Motorola DroidX2 the notifications work fine. Latest ver of FB. Only thing I haven't tried yet under app management is clearing data and cache. Just looking for confirmation one way or the other whether it works or not under CM9 A2. Thanks.

Is your wifi working correctly? Reason I ask is because my wifi disconnects after like 5 min of me locking my screen, so I get no notifications for email either. Do you have to restart your wifi when you unlock your pad after you haven't used t in a bit?
Wifi seems to be generally ok even after sleep. Once in a while I do have to reset it though. It could be wide awake and not get the notifications. Email, Tapatalk and TweetCaster notifications work fine.

[Q] Automatically Enable/Disable Mobile Data

I've done a lot of searching and have come up a bit fruitless on this. I was using JuiceDefender for a little before it just decided to not work anymore(?), but I really liked having my 4G disabled when the phone was in stand by with the lock screen and turning back on upon unlock. Just wanted to see if anyone knew an app that did this specifically. I'm using Apn4Apps right now, but it's just not quite the same.
I'm developer of Apn4Apps.
There is no sense to enable 4G if you open your screen to use your notepad.
Apn4Apps enables the mobile data for your selected applications.
Why would you need to enable 4G when the screen is on?

I installed this app and it it is exactly for my requirement. But for some reason the data connection goes off almost immediately as it turns on after a selected app is open. I'm on ICS.
Also, what is the timeout?
Thanks

I have some queries to understand the issue.
What's your phone brand and model?
What's your exact ICS version?
Is the rom stock version or not ?
The timeout value defines the timeout value for disabling the mobile data (3G/4G) when the screen goes off.
As an example if your screen has a value of 1 minute timeout value and APN4Apps has a timeout value of 10 sec then your mobile data will go off after 1 minute + 10 secs if you dont touch your phone.
Hi
this looks like a great idea, but it's not working 100% on my phone, so here's some feedback:
Galaxy S2 on the latest CM9 nightly. It only turns on data for your own app and the google play store, no other programs work, and it never turns off data on its own. Some apps, like Rainy Days, make your app crash.

I've updated Apn4Apps. It includes ICS fix.
Please check it out on https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tr.caglar.android.apn4apps and send me your comments for CM9
I've updated Apn4Apps to 1.0.6 with deep sleep fix.
I'm waiting for your valuable feedbacks
My Samsung galaxy trend mobile data turns on/of automatically.

5.1 update keep disabling mobile data

Hi fokls,
I recently updated to 5.1 ( Lollipop). I am on Tmobile and for some reasons, the mobile data setting kept getting disabled frequently.
Anyone knows what to do to fix the issue. I have tried pure stock as well as with root. None of them seems to fix the issue.

Just want to confirm, I have this problem too. Also on T-Mobile.
Edit: is it really just the setting that gets disabled? I have been rebooting to fix it.

Why don't you enable airplane mode and then disable instead of rebooting. It might work.

I tried that, it didn't work. I'm waiting on it to happen again to see if I can just re-enable mobile data.
Even if I can, this is still a very annoying problem. You'll miss a lot of emails, and messages. Yet another reason you might not want Lollipop

Its strange though. But if you go to the setting, then mobile data, you will see that it is turned off. Turning it back on, will re-enable it. I dont know why it does it though. No need for air plane toggle.
Is there any possibility this problem could be tied to a default power-saving setting that is turning mobile data off to conserve battery?
Just a thought.

I did two things, but I haven't had this happen since I did them.
1. Renamed HwPowerGenieEngine3.apk and HwPowerGenieEngine3.odex to disable them. (just add .bak to the end) They are located in "root/system/app/HwPowerGenieEngine3/" and "/<SAME/ARM/"
2. Enabled the option in Mobile Network settings to "Always-on mobile data"
Like I said, I don't know for sure if either really fixed it, but I haven't been having this problem for the past 2 days.
#1 . do I need root to rename the files?

yes, that requires root
I have no answer for you but, I am on T-Mobile and that's not happening to me. My WiFi becomes disabled sometimes/rarely. Also USB debugging gets disabled as soon as I back out of the settings for it. This is on B309.
My friend and I both using HAM2 on Wind, still on 4.3. Phone signal (not only Data) frequently turned itself off, then turned back on after a minute or longer.
Could it be the AWS (1700) frequency not reacting well to Huawei power genie?
I tried using "Normal" instead of "Smart" power saving scheme but no joy. Just froze "Power Genie" app via Titanium Backup. I think it turns the power saving feature off completely. Will monitor to see if it helps. I'll trade network stability for shorter battery life.
Apparently this problem is getting worse with Lollipop update.

Does greenify to be turned on in accessibility services?

So it appears to be working okay on my rooted 6p but I saw that it's turned off in accessibility. Should I turn that on? Or will it work okay with it being off?

From my understanding, that option is for users who do not have root access. It enables Greenify to work somewhat without root access.
If I am incorrect, someone please chime in.

Slight correction.
That option is to be enabled only if you use Greenify in non root mode. You may have root but still choose to run Greenify in non root mode in which case that option is to be enabled.

Wow! You are correct. I had it enabled on my rooted devices, thinking that it needed to be enabled for automated hibernation to work. In the accessibility settings window for greenify, there is no mention of only for non root mode.
I have disabled it now.
Thanks!

Smart Lock not working

Hi,
I think that since update to Android 10 Smart Lock stopped working or does not work as it should.
Basically with Trusted Places enabled I still need to unlock phone with fingerprint or pin. If I go to smart lock settings and turned it off and on smart lock works for a short time only.
I switched battery optimisation for maps, location and other options.
Does any of you experiencing any issues with smart lock and have any suggestions how to fix mine?
Phone with original system, not altered.
Similar is with my wife's S10 phone.
Thanks

My case location smartlock not always works... and I do have location turned on 24/7.
It's so uncomfortable being at home and not being able to check my phone without using fingerprint...
Using S.G.S9+ Duos w/ Tapatalk
My location is on 24/7 as it was before the update. It is in deed very annoying.
