Rearth/Ringke Cases for the Nexus 6! - Nexus 6 Accessories

http://www.rearthusa.com/b/10165987011
Seems that they will ship on November 30th. Thoughts?

They look nice, and prices are really good!

Ringke slim has been my personal favorite for a while now with both our phones N5 and GS4. I like minimal as possible. Thanks for posting wished they were coming out sooner than Nov 30

It defaces the Nexus logo but keeps the Moto logo? I'd rather have it the other way around

I prefer the ringke slim case over the spigen just because of the wrist/charm loop on the corner. It looks like the spigen slim for nexus 6 covers the top and bottom sides more though.

Just got a shipping email for my case and screen protector.

From the pictures, it looks like the front side of the top and bottom of the phone aren't protected with this version.
(Sorry for the big pictures in the ugly colors, just seems to be easiest to see the difference this way)

Whereas, say, for the Note 4, the Ringke Rearth Slim case does cover the entire top and bottom:
Is that really the case?

From the picture, yes, this looks to be true. The rearth case for the N5 is like this as well. One thing to note though. The height of the case exceeds the N5 height so even though it doesn't cover the top and the bottom of the phone it does protect it. Unless of course it fell from a drop on the front top or bottom edge of the phone (this case is not made for drop protection though). Hope that makes sense

I like the slim also but find that every time I use one it scratch the sides of my phone.

A lot of people reported that with the rearth case for the N5. I have never had that issue. You do have to be gentle/careful when removing it.

The Ringke FUSION clear case is only £7.99 at the minute. I used one on my m8 and loved it. You can still see the phone but it's still protected.
It's shipping on November 23rd.

So weird they only have the clear available. I ordered the clear one, knowing that the TPU will turn yellow within a month or two only because there weren't many tpu/polycarbonate clear back cases available. I would have much rather had a power support one of the same design, like what I had on my 2013 Moto X but I guess they went back to just making iPhone stuff.
I also purchased a similar bumper/clear back case from Spigen. I got both because I recall with my Nexus 5 that the Rearth version of this type of case, the shape was slimmer and the buttons easier to press. The Spigen may still be more bulky this time around too, but in their case, they have quite a few colors for the TPU portion of the case. I guess I'll have to report on how they both fit, if and when they ship.
The Rearth one shows that it shipped, but so far it's only that a label has been printed/paid for. The item itself still hasn't even been picked up.

I think the top of these cases are black. I actually liked the idea of it showing off the frame of the phone.

Looks like Rearth/Ringke updated their Nexus 6 version of slim cases to protect the top and bottom now like the earlier picture posted of the galaxy note4 by member "apexcell".

I ordered the fusion a while ago. It shipped already but by DHL, which I found weird. The tracking number they provided to me shows nothing. I'm from Canada so I ordered of amazon.ca.

I ordered this one

It looks like they changed the design to match the note4 style where the top and bottom is covered too.
I preorderd it on amazon on october 20th, and they had the picture of the older one, but now it shows the updated one like this:
Also the hole at the M logo is now gone, but it still has the little dimple.

Probably a very good case
Apparently they updated the design. Pretty cool.
I've got the Ringke SLIM for the Nexus 5 and it is the best case I ever own. Let's see for the Nexus 6.

Bumper gel skin case generic

I wasn't finding many bumper cases besides aluminum versions out there so I decided to try out a generic one I found on Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170818419766&ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:US:1123
It was $5.99 including shipping. They have a few other colors available. The description is for "Samsung Galaxy Note i9220, n7000", but it fits the i717 great.

The black rubber buttons over the volume and power buttons make everything easy to press.
I like how the black outlines the front of the Note. The case fits mostly snug although mine is a little loose at the top (giving a slight wave on the black as it runs along the top)
I wasn't sure about white on white, but I think it works.
I had a SGP Neo Hybrid EX on my GSII and loved it. This case is definitely not as good quality, but is good for the money and will do until I find just the right one.
Edit: After several weeks of use, my only complaint is the soft black rubber can come apart from the harder white plastic. A little super glue takes care of it. I use it in a car mount that squeezes on the sides so that probably makes the problem worse.
Looks pretty good, I'm definitely interested. Why is that top corner exposed though? Maybe put a zagg full body or something on it and you'd be pretty secure.
How tight is it? I have a GLAS.t glass screen protector and I wonder if it would still fit.

It is flexible and while snug not tight so I don't think another 0.4mm thickness would cause problems.
My SGP Neo Hybrid EX for the GSII (I bought the non-US version of the case because I didn't want to wait ) had the same open area on the corner. I believe some countries have an option for an external or retractable antenna that pops out there.

I didn't even know such a product existed. I found a few others on ebay. I'm thinking of getting a less bulky case. Right now I'm using the seidio active. I'm afraid of breaking anything because I dropped it the first week and cracked my screen ($200 replacement!) so I bought the glass screen protector for my new one. I think this would be the perfect level of protection and still keep it looking good and slim. I'm not as worried about the battery cover as you can just buy a new one for $13 off eBay.
Thanks for the review and the link. It's nice to see that this is a US seller with excellent feedback score.

Antenna for Korea. The i9220 is their version. Case looks nice, I like the bumper look...but still has the lip to protect it

I took my case on and off a few times over the weekend playing with uSD cards and another battery. I noticed one corner of the case looked funny (it came up over the screen more than it should). The black soft rubbery material had pulled away from the white harder material on that corner. A little super glue fixed it, but thought I would let others know. Still OK for a total of $5.99. If anyone finds a quality TPU/rubber type bumper case, please post a link.
good find...just bought one!
I also just ordered one! $6? Worth a shot at that price...

Cases for the beautiful beast

Hey guys finally ditched the samsung camp and got myself a Nexus 6 for relatively cheap here in the uk, xpansys selling for £250 with a free Google Chromecast.
Initially I was over come by the sheer size of this phone, and in now pretty worried that I'll drop it or "scuff" the soft touch case.
Anyone able to recommend a slimline but smart looking case & screen protector that doesn't take away from its looks? Thanks guys.

Best I've found over the past year:
http://www.amazon.com/Ringke-Essential-Protector-Scratch-Resistant-Protective/dp/B00O152P7G
The SF Black has a nice soft touch to it and it comes with a screen protector. I'm sure there are better protectors on the market but for an all in one package it's tough to beat. Only gripe is that I wish it had the Moto dimple cut out. That would make it perfect for me.
Third one looks good ?.

just run mine naked - love the looks of the phone
The incipio dual pro fits this beast well and has a nice grippy feel to it
I'm using Nillkin Frosted Shield case. Really slim and gripped so it's not slips from the hand. I don't really know if it's protects from dropping, but I don't really care about it because I'm really careful with my devices and I have tempered glass on it.
I got two different ones and use them both (not at the same time) depending on the need for the day.
The first one is really nice/inexpensive and since I got clear it doesn't affect my original color choice for the phone (which is white). It came with a free screen protector but despite rather significant experience at applying protectors this one didn't go so good so I removed it and now I'm just going without, but that's mostly because I use the second case most of the time.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00SX1NNJI/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The second one is a larger pouch case and it's my favorite because it allows me to keep the phone naked so it will fit in the Proclip custom mount in my truck. I can still easily hear alarms, notifications, etc with the phone in this case. It protects the screen and the whole phone very well. It's a little pricey but really good quality/construction. My phone is in this case like 99% of the time.

The OP was looking for a slimline case. That's the total opposite, probably the biggest case you can get for the N6. The Ringke Fusion is probably the one the OP wants. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ringke-FUSI...hash=item3aad336132:m:mm5wuDQt5cp30pfU-E1_3cQ

This is hands down the thinest quality case you can get for our phone.
There were a couple of links in this thread for Ringke cases and I would absolutely agree. Ringke cases are superb.
Also , if you are looking for a tempered glass screen protector then look no further than this :

Lol, I just received this same case yesterday. While I love the thin design which covers all 4 sides and back I wouldn't trust it in a drop from any distance. But then again I don't what something too thick because I also carry a iPhone 6s. Just couldn't pass up on a $200 Nexus 6.

I see that the holster for this case is a snap in holster and not a slide in. Does the holster allow for the phone to be attached screen out?

What case you will be using?

I just got in contact with RhinoShield and unfortunately they won't be making a case for XZ Premium.
Anyone recommends any good alternatives?
I ordered the Sony Style Cover Stand; SCSG10.
I'll let you know if I like it when I get my phone next week.
I will stick to a clear jelly case, i ordered the chrome version and i cannot wait to get it. Sony stile cover doesn't have that much protection for the sides, i like something that completely covers the sides and back, and for the screen a tempered glass is a must.

Same here, I went for a transparent gel cover, add a few mm to the phone, but protect it from scratch, finger smudges and make it less likely to slip out of hand... £10.00 well invested... Bonus, I can still enjoy the beauty of this phone.
1st I've used this: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B06XK56YL4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
=> It was not so good, because the buttons are under the case and the cam-button must be pushed hard.
Now I'm using this: https://www.deindesign.de/de/shop/d...sony-xperia-xz-premium/fussball/bvb-holzoptik
(Don't look at the logo ) It' really good, all buttons are free.
I'm waiting for this: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B06XCX2BXN/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I bought the Moko case for my XZP, but notice that on the top and bottom the fit isn't great. Also I've read in other forums, reviews that the case doesn't offer much drop protection. Having used Ringke cases for Z3 and Z3C - they're far more reliable for drops, I ordered one Ringke now.
The Moko case looks good and is nice to hold though.

got mine today, it is awesome. best case so far and ive tried like 5 of them now. the Ringke is a keeper, very good quality and the customer service was very fast when I ran into a issue. It also comes with a film for the back of your phone so it wont bubble/rainbow like the other similar case out there without the dust plugs.
also it matches the deepsea black perfectly
Has anyone got this case? It looks like it is exactly what I am searching for, but I don't know how well it fits the phone.

The terrapin cases are simply the best for Sony devices. The most classy and offers the best protection. And it's made out of real leather too.
I can recommend it to all of you.
Costs only 15 bucks.
Don't worry there's a hole on the back of the case for camera and sensors.

Yes. They yellow like a mof*. And they add a lot of bulk. The design for the fusion case Ringke had in the pre-Nexus 5 era was awesome, pretty much the same as the Orzly fusion cases. The new designs look really dirty after a few months.
I had one of these for the pixel XL and it was great the dust flaps are new ordered from Amazon just now.
I bought ringke cases in the past for my S5 and iphone 6 and they are built well and works with glass screen protectors. Just ordered this case and tempered screen protector.
Mine arrived today and I have to say i'm not impressed....the dust cap for the charging port always sticks out it doesn't actually stay in the port which is what it's for and always sticks out :/ it's very very annoying

Interesting, I always wondered about those caps. They were actually a turn off for me as I like quick access, I also thought it would be an S5 type of scenario where they just fell off over time!

Mine arrived today and I have to say i'm not impressed....the dust cap for the charging port always sticks out it doesn't actually stay in the port which is what it's for and always sticks out :/ it's very very annoying

Same problem with the one I received yesterday as well. It's too bad because otherwise, it's an excellent case. The Ringke case I used to have for my Nexus 6 had the same type of cover, but it stayed closed.

At least I know it's not just a defective case. as you said it's a nice case but this lets it down.

I think they need to enlarge the nubs that fit into the charging port, although they'd probably get complaints about that too because it would be difficult to open. The Nexus 6 case required a bit of effort to open that cap. I'll email their customer service later and see if they respond. Otherwise, I'll just clip it off.

Think i'll do the same from the amazon page see what they say
Sent it and the pictures, I cba going through amazon for a refund on it but I will if they dont respond with a decent answer. tbh I was thinking of a flip case anyway due to lack of decent screen protectors.
Any news? I have the same issue...
I'm happy with this case despite its two defects:
- it's not "smoke black", but in daylight it seems a "smoke blu navy" (I've the smoke black for OPO, OP2 and OP3 and they're really black)
- the dust cap is too hard, and after the first use it can't more stand locked in the usb port.
For the rest, it is as expected:
Correct holes, compatible with the tempered glass of OnePlus, not too bulky.
I think I keep it, and as I have always done for my previous oneplus, I've customized it with a couple of drawings.

(If anyone wants to start a new thread on customizing this cover, it's free to use my files.)
I got my replacement today they sent it from the US for some odd reason but this one connects to the charging port fine and works as it should.
Shame I got the official OP5 flip case and am using that instead but meh

Anyone find any cases yet?

I know razer has some case pics on their site, but I've yet to see any sale pages...
How dare you cover up that sexy phone...
The only cases I saw apart from the ones on the website (which have no price or availability) are some sleeve cases.
grrr- the phone is coming to me next week would like at least a tempered glass cover and a case b4 it arrives ...
I thought about buying some matte surface screen protectors or such and cutting them to size.
Pretty surprised we haven't seen the market flood with accessories yet. I guess it just goes to show they kept it secret very well! Lol
Yup, guess Orzly is gonna be the 1st, they have a clear case available now!

This is awesome.. Was looking at the dbrand skins for the one I'm ordering and gonna go with the orange carbon fiber with logo cutout and throwing one of these on will allow me to show it off
This is the response I got from Otterbox inquiring about the defender
I just ordered my phone and they have two offerings from Razer, a "thin" case and a more rugged one, both Razer brand with the logo on back. The thin one is $20, not sure about the other one, I didn't look at it.
I want a hard slim case

LOL..........
As a rule,I don't care for cases,usually opting for a clear,or,matte skin.
Most mfgs offerings these days,a case is virtually mandatory,I'd be glad to have a decent plastic phone that could hold up to a drop or two w/o worry...................
I just wish phone mfgs made at least one top-end model that is ruggedized al la Samsung Galaxy Active series.
Nothing on the clownish side, regarding the overall size, but, just to where it's not going to dent/ding/crack @ the slightest drop.
This phone should hold up well, but, one reviewer (Android Central),mentioned the body is easily scratched.
Sooooo,I'll be getting a D-Brand skin as soon as they're available.
I usually go for Skinomi, but, the D-Brand has a cutout option for the logo to be visible.

Will do! Though I verified mine are otw, not yet shipped, evidently they're coming from Hong Kong.. Soooooo, how long? Idk :|
Orzly cases shipped for me from amazon last night. Probably won't use them though since I just got the rugged cases from razer with the order.
The Orzly Case just showed up on Amazon UK - Stock Expected 23rd November for £6.99

Same product on eBay UK for £4.99

Also found a Orzly Wallet Stand Case by the same seller for £5.99

ive already had a very minor drop of about 3 feet and chipped one of the edges (have to say this phone chassis is cetainly not as robust as my previous OnePlus 5 that also has had a few falls with barely a scratch or a dent). so annoyed that razer havent included a basic case in ther fancy packaging. theres no third party case market to speak of and the official cases are super expensiveand cost a tenner to ship etc. Whats also shocking is that THREE in the uk, their exclusive launch partner, have no cases for sale on launch day??!??! Is that even normal?! One Plus always have their cases avail at lauch with their UK partner O2. This is beyond a joke ....
Weren't the OnePlus phones coming with their own rootkit too? Another way Razer cheaped out..
I have noticed that the official Razer accessories are now up on their site so have ordered myself their Tempered Glass screen protector along with the rugged case.
The case is the same I'd pay for previous phones and so as long as it's build is as good as the apple ones I don't see a problem.
The tempered glass is a bit pricy at £25

Orzly tempered glass is like £9 man I wouldn't pay £25 for tempered glass tbh although it "Shipped" on the 15th and I haven't gotten it yet so I think Orzly are lying to me about shipping. I hate the fact this very slim case cost me £30 all in....should have gotten the rugged case.
Just an FYI, if u get the rugged case, which isn't very rugged. Be sure to take it off very slowly, the design is kinda flawed so when you take it off, it wants to bend in half, probably creasing/breaking the back of the case at the separation of side-walls that clamp around the phone.
Decent case to at least have something though.
