Ok here we go, after figuring out where everything is located I am now proud to annouce this mod for the note 4 (not sure if it will work on all of them but definatly sprint). I will update the log as I go

October 25th 2014 - Turned JPEG quality up to 100% from 96%
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download ES File Explorer
2. Go to /system/app and delete SamsungCamera3.apk and SamsungCamera3.odex (Please make a backup before deleting)
3. Copy this camera file over to /system/app and rename to SamsungCamera3.apk
4. Reboot to recovery
5. Wipe Cache and Dalvik
6. Reboot
7. Enjoy

not very good images for a comparisan shot but one is 96% and the other is 100%. Difference is 15KB (granted not much color in the shot)

Extract the zip archive
Rootexlporer programs in subfolders using the system folder first, and here the picture of the rights to enter!
Then copy the app to the app folder in the app framework of the frameworks folder.

• Device must be rooted !
• Copy the animation on the phone's SD card and with some file manager (Root Explorer, ES file manager ...)
• rename the original bootanimation (.. /system/media) in bootanimation.bak and...
• in the same folder (.. /system/media) copy the new animation.
Don't forget to set a right permission on new bootanimation (rw-,r--,r--).

I would prefer to get the images sharper but file size gets a bit heavy.

If you have never added a custom bootanimation before, dont worry.
Installation is easy.

Steps:
1. Backup your ROM or just backup the files ("/system/priv-app/SystemUI.apk" & "/system/priv-app/SystemUI.odex") will be covered later;
2. Unzip SystemUI_ODEXED.zip and copy the files to "/system/";
3. Set 211 or 644 permission for these two files;
4. Copy them to "/system/priv-app/", just cover the files inside;
5. Restart your cellphone and enjoy!
