Using the CyanFox 4.4 for the samsung exhilarate
Just wanted to give a big thank you to ns17 for the kitkat rom for the Samsung exhilarate phone. It is very hard to find a working rom for this phone. The cyanogen nightlies don't seem to work anymore. And most other links are long dead. At first the camera did not work, but I found out this was due to excessive backups in clockwork leaving almost no free space on the device. So far it works great and the only minor bug I noticed is that the checkbox for nfc communication will not stay unchecked.
Great job with this and if any further developments occur/have occurred please let me know as I am more than willing to test and help out for myself and all those others that love running this great exhilarate phone!

Glad to hear you're enjoying the rom! We did manage to figure out a fix for the cm11 nightlies in this thread, head over there and you can have an up to date rom again.

Awesome, google search really let me down as I could not seem to find any threads except for the one in the cyanogen mod forum that even touched on there being problems with the rom, and that one offered no solutions.
I'll be sure to check out the updated version, but I'll probably stick with the version that you posting for now as I'm just so excited to get aware from Ice Cream Sandwich.

Pardon my freshness; But is S-off a requirement for flashing roms?
It depends. We have a bootloader unlock and flashable kernels, so we might be good.
No, it shouldn't be required. We can flash to system from recovery, and can flash boot image as well. We should be fine.
Good question and a good answer as well.
Sounds cool. Is there a way to preview it beforehand? Like how it looks and any added functions?
Well, so far it's 90 percent stock. This is day one lol! If you want to see some of my other work to get a preview, check CleardDroid Rom for the inspire or for the motoactv watch.
I have an AT&T Desire 610 and will be able to test if needed.

If you still are looking for some testers I'd be willing to offer my help.
Just got a Desire 610 willing to test
I have an AT&T us version. willing to test...
I have an AT&T Us version of the HTC Desire 610 I will be willing to test it for you. I used your clear droid Rom on my HTC Inspire 4G.

How is your development coming along?
Download?
Is there any download link of this version of cleardroid?
I keep forgetting that I've got a Q&A thread. Probably because I didn't start it lol. But, I'm getting my Galaxy s3 back shortly, and will be able to wipe this one over and over again (part of my process) without worry. So hopefully soon.
Hey cleard
When are ya gonna turn the lights back on in here......?

Got my netbook up and running, Ubuntu with wine. First order of business is to try and fix the root tool, then will try to work on a rom again.

Google services crashing on 11.8.3.3-0 ROM
Hello,
I tried flashing your 11.8.3.3-0 ROM from stock WW_11.8.4.23 and stock WW_11.8.3.3, but in both cases I end up with almost all Google services crashing the minute I got connected to the internet (Play Store, Hangouts, Calendar, etc.) . Of course, I tried about a hundred different ways to fix this, but finally went back to stock.
I think it has to do with all my data having been synced on newer versions of Google apps, so the most painless thing would be to make a new ROM using the newest (11.8.4.23) STOCK.
If you gave me a few starting tips, I would be willing to help.
Thanks.
Sorry for taking so long to respond, I didn't see until today that I had a PM from some bot telling me a Q&A thread had been created and I didn't see it under my subscribed threads either.
If more people are interested in a custom version of the newest firmware then I'll make it, but since it's been so dead regarding the padfone 2 i assumed most people stopped using the phone and/or my ROM.
If there's more than 1 person interested in a custom rom of the latest release then let me know and I'll get on it.

Oops. I thought there was not going to be a reply from you, so I created a new ROM myself and posted it. I really hope you don't mind - it was not my intention to steal the "fame and fortune" from you. At first, I thought I would use yours as a starting point, but then I decided to work my way from grounds up using the stock. I did several things differently, especially the rooting style has changed radically.
Haha no problem, feel free to use mine as a starting point, more roms is a good thing!
Hi. I have a serious problem.
I rooted my Padfone 2, then unlocked bootloader and fastboot flashed CWM.
Then I flashed Guerilla rom. It worked until I rebooted it...
Stuck on inital asus logo.
Then I tried a few of your zips via adb sideload. They stay on boot logo and nothing happens. One managed to get to the secondary boot animation and then rebooted and stuck at the inital...
Please help.
The phone is bought from Spain. I didn't check the SKU before flashing the first time.
Flashing Asus's zips from their site does not boot too.

Can someone upload lollipop os for Alcatel pop icon
Hi
Can someone please help, I need the lollipop rom for Alcatel pop icon. If anyone know where to get the rom and tutorial how to update Alcatel pop icon. Thank very much in advance
Thank you for the great work! ^_^
Hello mate!
I am a member for a good 5 minutes now, and the only reason I made an account here is your post regarding the bootanimation on 5.0
I would like to say that people take You Guys' help for granted....and it should not be like that...if I could, I'd support this page with everything in my powers, but lol...I'm a noob at programming AND pretty much new to android too. ^_^
Anyway, my sgs4 value edition (GT-I9515) running on Lollipop 5.0.1 LOVED YOUR SOLUTION!
I am proud to state that the RAM works on 1-1,2 Gb free space constantly! (of course not when I have loads of apps open, but it DOES COME BACK TO THAT VALUE)
Keep up the good work mate, and thank you very much again!
Cheers,
Don
Grand 2 cm 12 and 12.1 dosent work does anyone know to fix the boot animation memory leak bug in it
Thanks for this.
Thank you very much
thanks
thanks dude it worked
I was wondering if this fix has been integrated with CynanogenMod 12 nightlies? I'm currently running cm-12.1-20150718-NIGHTLY-mako (released July 18) but I can't get past 'starting apps' screen. Sometimes the phone won't go past the boot animation screen either.
I've been trying to remove bootanimation myself but I'm having issues with getting my device detected on my computer.
Thnx
:good:
"Download the "bootanimation.zip", extract the right "bootanimation" binary and put it under /system/bin - replacing the old one.
The correct owner is root:root,
the correct permission is 755(rwxr-xr-x)."
Thanks for this! would love to be able to plug this hole, but, my Sony Z Ultra on 5.0.2 doesn't have a bootanimation file in system/bin to replace.....? Any suggestions? Thanks
EDIT:I don't have issues with bootloops from xposed, only when trying to use custom anis longer than about 30 frames.
EDIT: Thanks for the help, found that it's a hidden file. All is good now. ?

Hi there. I am enjoying FIUI 4.4.4 for the SGH-I717 very much. However there is an app that i need to install on my phone but I cannot get it to install. this is the app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.td&hl=en&rdid=com.td
the message tells me that the my device is not compatible with this version of the app, however I have always had this app installed on my phone using any other ROM. If I download an .apk it still will not install.
Please tell me how to get this app on my phone, otherwise i will have to switch back to my old rom
I keep getting an error that radio needs to be newer than UCMD3. I have flashed a lot of roms and never had this issue.

There are a few ROM's that require UCMD3 or newer. Is UCMD3 what you are using? If not, just flash it.

Navigation bar
Hi there, I really appreciate the release of an working 5.1.1 rom early since I had problems flashing the factory image. So I have one question: Is there any way to make the navigation buttons normal again, becuase i have seen this alternative coloring/shaping a lot. Don't get me wrong I am very grateful for the rom, but still I want to ask if there is any way to make the buttons normal again, because I think that the way they look by default is really ugly. Thx for the rom and keep up the great work!

I don't know. I really like the shape of them. Maybe you could try a theme that have stock navigation bar, maybe that could work.

Why don't you just install a theme and use the navigation buttons from the theme of your choosing?
