Just installed Neat rom 8 stock version 'light'. Everything seems to be working well. The only (very minor) issue is that the samsung keyboard differs from the original stock 4.3 one in that it doesn't show a selection of words to choose underneath, as you type.. The only option seems to be for it to actually make it's own changes as you type, which I hate.
Is there any way to get the original stock keyboard back?

You forget to tick language file option in aroma
Hi. When you say 'aroma', do you mean the list of samsung/ google apps presented when you install neatrom 8? There wasn't a language file option when doing the install. Or is Aroma a separate thing to install (that's not included when you install neatrom)?
Anyhow, looking again at Sale's first post , I think he has used the Note 3 keyboard instead of the stock S3 one. That's probably why the keyboard doesn't have suggestions underneath when you type (looks identical other than that).
So need to find some way to install S3 keyboard. Any suggestions? .TIA

I report some errors that I noticed. (Firmware: I9300XXUGNH4 NeatROM v8.0 (4.3))
The internet explorer icon is duplicated when you activate the Framework in Xposed installer.
In Settings/ Control NeatRom / General Mods / Screen Off Animations, the options are reversed.
After a few reboot, the problem goes away.
Can you check?
Can you add the screen off option through double-tap on the screen?

It's not about xposed framework, one is stock sammy browser from s3, the bottom left icon, and the upper right is browser from Note3, which adds support for eyescroll etc. because these features don't work with s3 browser.

You're lucky.
After 8 months on neatrom I decided that is time to move forward cause of the stupid memory management.
Now I'm using cm11 and the memory management is amazing. ?
Neatroam v8.2 on my device no lags and fc's but voice command not working. Internet is fast when connected to wifi. But scr recorder slow on recording. Screencast not working. I cant demo my fon but this rom is very nice! Battery is consuming 12% per hour on wifi and web browsing, non stop online gaming 2-3 hours overall this rom is way better than other roms out there!
btw I used boeffla kernel

Is it possible to add Flashlight Toggle for NeatRomLite 4.3?
smart network doesn't work, it doesn't turn off wifi or mobile data when screen is off
press volume up to turn on torch also doesn't work all the time, happened to me twice but i don't know what caused it to get bugged
short interruptions while listening to music, sometimes more, sometimes less, usually gets fixed with a restart
adobe flash player doesn't always install when i install the rom, happens with lite and extra lite, i haven't tried the full bloatware option
i think you should add the default music player to lite edition since it breaks the clock, you can't chose a custom clock sound without it
when you open "neatrom update" for the first time it crashes, it doesn't crash after that anymore
these are all the bugs i had found after a month of daily use, i'm really happy with it, thank you very much for this rom, some lag now and then (because of limited ram?) but otherwise it is close to perfection

Can't be fixed at the moment. All S5 ports have this issue.

Guys Two methods u have fix ur camera problem.
First is used stock kernal, in stock kernal camera work f9.
second is if u used boeffla kenal flash it and finish it first then download kernal v5 link gin below and install it with any CWM.
now camera working f9.

Keyboard Problem
Hi! Sorry if my english is not good :/ I have tested lots of s5 roms for my S3 i9300, and all of them work perfectly but all have the same problem, the keyboard don't show the predictions... i mean, i see the place where it should be, but there isn't any word there, i can only see a white line :/ i dont know which is the problem and i hope someone here can help me Thank you all for your work!

How can I make mass storage works on my I9300 with S5 sensation 7.0?
I tried SG Mass storage enabler, scripts, and other apps, but nothing works. Only MTP stops and phone disapear from Win7.
There is 2 Samsung File-Stor Gadget USB Devices, but "no media".

First of all, thank you so much for your work. You give people positive energy that is sure to come back to you, but to a much larger size. You have to feel it. Basically, it works normal (vs 1Gb RAM), but there is a problem with YouTube - the latest version 5.10.3.5 does not work - the connection to the server is lost. Through a browser works fine. I think that the problem is not just me? Tried to install older versions of Gapps - only version of 07.26.2014 i can update normally (app works fine, but if i want view intro-video in play store or Flipp book - connection lost). Revision as of 06/06/2014 does not work after the upgrade. Sorry for my English.

Hi I had the same problem with youtube so I uninstalled it and just installed the latest one from play store it now works.
Cpu stucked
Hello everyone, I've just installed this rom and it looks amazing, except that with stock kernel and boeffla the CPU is stucked ad 1000 Mhz, even if I move the setting in Boeffla Config, with CPU spy or BBS, the max is 1000 Mhz! What did I do wrong? Maybe Aroma settings?

I tried to remove YouTube and install the latest version 5.10.3.5, but it did not work - the connection to the server is lost.
-> After that, I downloaded the old version of GAPPS and application started working only on version from 06.27.2014 - runs without problems and updated to version 5.10.3.5 - but does not work in applications such as PlayStore or FlipBook (the connection to the server is lost.).
-> GAPPS version of 06.06.2014 - all works without problems (app, in PlayStore, in FlipBook.....), but after upgrading to version 5.10.3.5 - does not work anywhere (the connection to the server is lost).

Slimkat is developed by the slim team and slim saber is developed by fj based on slimkat with addons and cherry picks from other sources.
How to disable Car Mode?
My unit i9100 keeps randomly activating Car mode and I can't find the option to disable it somewhere in this rom. anyone can help me? Other than that, the ROM is perfectly fine and stable. I think i have a faulty usb socket in here, it just randomly occured.
Any chance to get slim_minimal_gapps.4.4.2.build.5 or later (for 4.4.2 of course)? I'm on Slim-i9100-4.4.2.build.5-OFFICIAL-4068 and started having troubles with "Inverted Google Play Services v6.1.83 fot KK" after ROM and GApps reflash as I only have build.3 gapps...

On my SGS2 I have the SlimKat 4.4.2 and my download speed is only 50 kb/s. With stock rom or NeatROM I had a download speed of 3mb/s. What can I do? I really,really enjoy this Rom and I don't wanna uninstall it...

Never had any problems with download limit in slimkat. Try checking if restricted usage has been selected in Data usage settings and further reconfigure it !! It should work

Go to wifi settings --> advanced and select wifi band to Auto (if not selected earlier)
Now go to location services and change it to any of the modes other than "battery saving mode"
Reboot your phone
Your speed should increase now !!

That kinda did something ... But not for a long time. I downloaded bad piggies from play store, the speed was 150 kb/s. At 30%, it raised at 3mb/s until 60% and it dropped down again at 60kb/s... But thanks anyway.

Anytime Mate !! But Update google play services to the latest for better results !! I hv read somewhere that unticking wifi-optimization in wifi advanced settings helped someone too ! But i dont think that its really a fix though .. Anyway Use "Device only" for better usage. I updated slimkat to 4.4.4 and didnt find any of these problems in the latest builds .. So try updating it !!
Hey there! I am looking for a new ROM for the SII of my girlfriend, and I always quite liked SlimBean. Is this SlimKat-ROM stable? Many ROMs have problems with the SII as far as I know (her current one also does, RootBox 4.2), so it would be nice if any of you could say wether or not this ROM is considered stable (meaning that apps don't crash because of the ROM itself, that it doesn't lag or sometimes hang for several minutes with a black screen etc.).

I had this rom on my galaxy 2. It asked to update. I downloaded the 4.4.4 (build9) slimkat. Did a full wipe and cache etc. Installed. Now my home button does not work anymore. It knows the home button is there because when i hit it the phone wakes up but it has no effect in the ROM. Any ideas how to fix this?? The SlimRom forums are down I can not create or login a user (get a forbidden 403 error). The slimrom naviagtion is default.
Any ideas ? I can't get to the slim forums to ask there either.

This ROM is simply awesome. It's easy to install (I get bootlop for first time, but fixed it, definitely my bad xD).
It's perfect ROM for people, who looking for sony stock-looking, great for daily using Android.
I'm using version 1.8. I really love smoothness, and stability of this rom. It have little bugs, but - nevermind.
Good things:
Stock Sony apps
CM based ROM
Fully working Polish language
Sony theme, which is exact port from Z series
Absolutely great for daily use, nearly fully functional
Fully working notification bar, LED & sensors
Did I mention smoothness?
Annoying things:
Keyboard is missing sometimes.

There is no screen unlock animation from Z2.
Dialer, camera UI does not look like in Z2 firmware.
NFC Tags not working. But it's not so important.

(i don't like icons look in 2.0, that's why i didn't install it... I know, stupid xD)

I do all the process but after installation my xperia u dosent boot its showing dark screen.
it also showing dark screen when i flash the given boot.img file with the rom, then i use the image of cm11 rom and start installing the rom but when its finish it does not boot.

How to disable home screen rotation?
This ROM is Nice, smooth and beautiful. But i just have a little problem with it right now, is there any way to disable the auto rotation on the home screen? It ruined my wallpapers after i set them as the home screen walpaper, because after the home screen goes back to potrait from landscape mode, my wallpapers will not fill the other page on the home screens (there's some black color beside the wallpaper). I'm using the latest version (2.0) Thank you.

This ROM is really good, but the battery does not hold a long time: from 8:05 to 18h while with stock ROM, the battery is much better. (Google Traduction)
Will the new versions need a full wipe to be flashed? In addition, do I need to flash back to a stock rom before flashing this or can I just flash it over a custom rom?

I change and my picture in contact list and it appears in user picture too

first 2-3 sec volume is loud, then the volume goes down in 1 sec

Downloaded and installed the latest build, but noticed that the sound starts high
And then go low again(f.eks listening to spotify) . But im guessing this is a cyanogenmod bug? Did clean a clean install. Everything else works perfect ?.
Has anyone had any luck with running this rom with MultiROM? I just get a bootloop when I try. Infecteds CM12.1 as primary and Candy5 as secondary.

I tried cleaninng the metadata of my music files. At least I got the some of the music actually working but around 1/3 of the files still caused the player to stop responding and their metadata was still unreadable. Hope it helps.

ART Runtime has been disabled on this ROM and if you enable it then your device will go under a bootloop and then you will need to install the ROM again.So don’t switch to ART and remain on Dalvik Runtime only.
I noticed that compared to Optimus X2-ROM signal 3g on equal conditions is much lower, you can do something? where you can intervene?

Do you have any problem in reading what is mentioned in the thread
It is clearly mentioned that ART has been disabled.

All of you guys just lie in the same category of people who just download the rom and dont even care what the dev has written in his thread and then keep on complaining.
Switching to ART causes bootloop is not a problem , it has been disabled.

But this one has made me to like my a116 all again
I never thought a116 can be this loud.

Optimus-one-rom bug of sound

I've installed optimus-one-rom on my wiko cink five.
This rom Work perfectly but the sound when i use speaker have
just two position : off or maximum. The sound dont increase
by bearings.

Whenever I click on Settings -> About Phone --> System Updates
I get an error saying 'Unfortunately, Settings has stopped". I am also getting the occasional crashes.
Two questions:
1. Will there be any updates? If so, will they be through OTA or CWM flash.\
2. Do I need to reflash the rom to get rid of those crashes.

Well finally there is no bug in sound . I just saw that this is the DOLBY ATMOS that pushes the sound with the " volume leveler " . Just disable it and everything is in order.

I registered only to hit the thanks button ^^ great work, first custom rom that I tries and probably the last.
Installation on a wiko cink five with the modem p19 without problem. (cwm recovery, not the PhilzTouch Recovery as advised )
It had some minor lag at the beginning (now disappeared ) and a minor bug with the keybord (disappear with keyboard update).
Let's begin with bads point
The worst thing with this rom is... the CRT effect on screen turn of ^^ (removed by disabling the animations scale option in 'devloper options' )
Second bad thing: boot and shutdown anim... (I m some kind of minimalist ) but as I don't reboot it every day it's not a problem .
Last: I can't disable the soft key light with Screen filter in xposed framwork.
So no real problem; on stock rom the in-call sound was far from great but not tried yet in optimus.
(gps, blutooth and compas not tested)
Good points... there is to much to list
but it seems there is a slight improvement on the battery life.
If you can add something like the Xled ( witch can disable the charging led notification as request by Shaxine ) and a screen filter ( cause the screen is to bright for me just as the original rom) that will make optimus one more perfect than now ^^
For those who are interested I add :
-Power widget lite, to get a widget for wifi and brightness
-No wallpaper, for a solid black background ( why people put great pictures as wallpaper and put lots of icon on it? ... they use the app circle bar or the gesture control ok ok XD )
-File explorer and its root add-on
-some equalizer to replace viper4android (don't know why i don't feel comfortable whit it)
-remove the google search bar
Best antutu score on stock rom with some minor tweak: 15581
optimus rom: 17832

wifi and in call audio quality seems improved too

1. It does not support the navigate through option for browsers
2. It shuts down if I use musixmatch and clash of clans at the same time

What did you use to flash the rom? And yeah try reflashing the ROM with all the necessary patches given using Philz
