Team Bliss is pleased to present to you BlissStalk Rom - (BOSP)
One of the most highly customizable roms that you can install on your mobile device.
BlissStalk has all the features you crave, compiled into one rom for a truly blissful experience.
BlissStalk is CM11 based, with a ton of features added in.
The original source for BlissStalk came from BeanStalk rom built by Scott.Hart.Bti.
A huge thanks to him for the source, and all the work he has done to develop the rom.
Also thanks to Slim Rom, and Derteufels, where a lot of the additional code came from,
& to everyone involved with CM as that is the foundation of this project.
Team Bliss is a team consisting of developers and device maintainers that work on this project in our spare
time to be able to give Android users a custom rom packed with features that will make a lasting impression.
We will keep up to date with the latest CM code, and updates will be posted on a regular basis.
However, please do not ask for ETA's. We will update the links as soon as they become available.
We will not tolerate any rudeness or anyone being disrespectful in this thread.
We will do our best to answer your questions or concerns as soon as possible.

YOU MUST TRY THIS ROM!!!
BeanStalk was always one of my favorite ROMs, but there were various different tiny bugs. Now a full team has been assembled, and they've renamed and largely rebuilt the ROM. They've spent a ton of time getting repositories updated to reflect the most recent commits, which has addressed the bugs.
Kernel is from CM (for now).
So is the device tree

I don't know of any bugs, but the ROM is still very new. There probably are some bugs, but the ROM is incredibly smooth as of now.

Nice...

I'll give it a try. Been on liquid Smooth for a few days, but figured I'd give this one a chance.
Thanks for doing your part in keeping this device alive!
Probably tonight I'll give it a spin.

What toolchain / optimization flags did you use to compile this?

No flags or optimizations used... yet. I'll be changing that very soon though. This is so new that I thought it best to hold off for now until it was running for a few days. That way if a bug pops up, I'll have a better sense of whether it's the ROM's bug, or if I did something wrong.

I just realized that the interactive governor is set to only be used at 384mhz. I was having trouble with it being EXTREMELY laggy. So I checked the settings and saw that it was not configured correctly.

New build posted. Let me know if there are any issues after flashing this one.

Thanks. One question I have and it may just be that I haven't looked hard enough, but is there any way in the buttons section of settings to get "switch to last app" assigned as an option for double tapping the home button? I think I saw that option in one area (can't remember right now where it was) but not in the buttons assignment section. Just wondering if it's possible.
Also, is there any way to set double tapping on the status bar to put it to sleep mode? I see that double tapping the slider on the lock screen will do it but is there any way to put it to sleep with a double tap to the status bar once it's unlocked?
I hope I'm not being annoying, I'm not actually asking for the feature if it didn't exist, just wondering if it does and how to find it.
I like the ROM so far. I have not experienced any real issues yet but will let you know if I do.

Will thia install ysing HBoot 2.09?

Not annoying at all. I don't see those features either. Neither of those features have ever really been valuable to me either, so I don't remember which ROM's do and don't have it. If you can tell me where you have seen these features, I can try to track down the commits.
Glad you like it. I was expecting it to have a lot more bugs for being so new.

I don't think so. I'd suggest upgrading to 2.10.

Hey, if you're taking requests, adding back to kill from Liquid smooth would be awesome of you.
I ran Bliss and loved it for about a week, but I'm addicted to quiting individual apps when I'm done with them and went back to liquid.

I know that liquid Smooth and Dirty Unicorns both have the features I was talking about.

2 more things...
1.) I just found one of the features I was looking for. If you look in Settings in the "Device" section under "Display & Lights" down toward the bottom of that settings screen is an option called "Double-tap to sleep". That's exactly what I was looking for. I just have gotten used to that feature, so really enjoy using it. Although, if you ever ended up adding s2w and s2s in the kernel, that might be even better. But for now this is good. Just thought I'd let you know I found it since I was asking about it.
2.) My external SD card seems to only be mounted as read only. I can't copy anything to the card, although I can read the card. I just checked, and was able to write to it, so maybe it's intermittent? But when I go to the "Storage" settings under SD Card, it only shows Total Space, Available Space, and then has the option "Erase SD card". I don't see any option for Unmount card, which I usually see (in other ROMs).
Anyway, it might be that my card is going bad or something, since this seems to be an intermittent problem. Maybe I'll look into getting a different card. But it's not enough to keep me away from the ROM. Just thought I'd bring it to your attention.

I see the same thing on mine too. It's good to hear about these things, but I honestly don't plan on spending a ton of time on most of these things just yet unless they're device specific issues. The transition to Lollipop complicates things, as well as the newness of the ROM itself. Any fixes made now could be undone tomorrow, or fixed by Scott or one of the other team members. I'm going to keep up with builds, but the kernel is where my extra energy is going to go. In the meantime, please keep posting the issues you run into.

This rom was compiled by me, Scott.Hart.bti has done the real work!
This is a build forked off CM with countless features and tweaks under the hood. So you get speed, stability, ultimate battery life and ultra customization ability. The brain behind the source is Scott.har.bti, the idea and implementation of features behind beanstalk!! Many of the additional code additions came from Slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified. A huge thanks to them for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project.
I will be updating this at least monthly, and or sooner depending on when and what newer features are being implemented.
I'm very new to this and not great at programming, so bug fixing will be a bit difficult for me.

Added feature list to OP
Beanstalk 5.0050 will come in a few days.
Ooh features list is impressive! I see it supports SMS, too
One question: does the ROM allow for user profiles -as in, create a user and give it access to specific apps?
To answer my previous question about profiles: yes, it does
Been using this ROM for the last couple of days and loving it... No problems whatsoever. Thanks!
A small request: is it possible to add double-tap to wake?

Sorry I had no time to test your requested profile feature, but glad to hear it works!
Doubletap- or sweep2wakeup are in my opinion Kernel related. Im using & prefer ElementalX-N7-2.15-cm where u can choose wakeupactions and many other things in aroma installer.
If you want to test it, without knowing what you are doing leave all settings on stock or default, except wakeup options & under "other options" select "SElinux permissive" at the bottom to fix unknown baseband / mobile data- bug.

Yes, the elemental kernel is where I've known about double-tapping from, too Though I did install it on your ROM and the device was extremely slow, so I probably chose the wrong version (CM/CAF -which should I use?).
I love the ROM's customization settings, btw - all in all I'm keeping it Thanks!

what exactly do you mean? Basically Beanstalk will always include the stock cyanogenmod-kernel to ensure rom features.
If u meant doubletap2wake, I'll have a look if i can include that in near future.
Here's my chronological ToDo-list:
1: make Ubuntu 14.04.2 buildable (DONE)
2: bring a new build
3: fix the bug with SELinux
4: check if Google dialer will work
5: Fastcharge, wakeupgestures
Yeah, we had an exchange a few posta above about s2w and you said:

I guess the answer is YES..
Bluetooth?
Does bluetooth work on this while connected to wi-fi? I know there's a bug with AOSP roms and bluetooth. I'd hate to install it only to go back to MOAR because of working bluetooth.
I loved Carbon rom on my S3 and have been waiting for it on the S5. Unfortunately I'm having to stay away from AOSP because of bluetooth and low volume.
Bluetooth works with or without WiFi on and GPS locks just fine! Give it a try and you may not flash again until android M gets here for our devices!
Thanks, I know it was really choppy when trying to stream in my car. So choppy that it was unusable. I'll give it a shot this weekend.
This is hands down the absolute most stable AOSP LP based ROM I have tried. I have always been a huge fan of CarbonROM and always kept going back to their last KK build because I couldn't find a LP based ROM that wasn't all buggy. I've been running this now for a few days and am so satisfied with it, that I even deleted my old KK backup. Lol.
Thanks for this. Please, please, PLEASE keep updating it as you can!
Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
It still does choppy audio on aosp ROMs when streaming to a Bluetooth device and Wi-Fi is on. Can I post a YouTube link? I recorded it. It doesn't do this on TouchWiz. It's the main reason I haven't been running aosp.

Indeed this is CM based..
Everything is running good, except for the bluetooth issue i contacted you about. I've also found that the "reboot" menu in "buttons" under "Carbonrom Fibers" does not provide the extended menu, and when enabled in "developer options" it just gives a soft reboot with both on. Also the "enable hardware keys" does not work either, it only powers them off for me, but they are still functional. I do love how stable, smooth and responsive it is though. I missed CarbonRom and was wondering if it was ever going to make its way to LP. Thanks!

I was having the same issue with advanced reboot as well. I worked around it by using the advanced reboot provided by Gravity Box. It works great and even provides some other missing options that the ROM itself is lacking.

Thanks, I've corrected.
VoIP over Skype isn't working, Onyx user can hear voice but person on other end of Skype call cannot. Otherwise quite stable and smooth like no other ROM.
Edit: When speaker mode under whats-app is enabled, mic stops working too. I mean, person to which onyx user is talking cannot hear your voice anymore. Although once speaker mode is disabled everything starts working normal.
Can anyone confirm it's a known bug. Or it's just happening with me?

About proximity wake, you mean it doesn't wake with Hand wave, and during call it doesn't turn off /on screen?

This is an unofficial build, of Resurrection Remix v5.8.5 Android version 7.1.2 built by me, using trees by @SeanStar and repos by @jasonmerc and the input from many, many others from the Moto E4 Plus threads. This is a beta build so expect some things to not work 100%. I will keep this thread going as long as Motorola/Lenovo continues with security updates anjd no one else picks this up. (I am not a developer) If Someone wants to pick this rom up and go with it,, I will gladly bow out and let someone with more experience building take over. This is for the XT1775 model only (Reatail version,, unlocked directly from Motorola) and I have no clue if it will work on any other Moto E4 Plus models.
Tested working:
Data
Volt
Bluetooth
Camera (both suplied and Google camera)

Pre Requisites:
1.You must have an unlocked bootloader.
2.You must have TWRP installed
3.You need to have the right device XT1775 (owens) (Qualcomm)
4.For Data to work (to place calls and send texts and use your data) you need to be on the stock firmware with a working data plan and already placing call and texts, you must be on the stock firmware. (This is important to have data after flashing this rom).
5.Have a system image backup in TWRP. Do not just back up system in TWRP for a stock restore point because you will not get all the stuff needed to use the device if you need to go back to stock. So, Make a TWRP backup on the external SD card and include the "System Image" and "boot" in that backup along with any other partitions you may want to restore to like "Data" and "cache".

I will try to help out where I can but since I have a demanding day job I will not be in here much at all. I may stop by once or twice a week. Do not ask for additions, changes or updates. I will update as I can. I am not a developer but love android and learning new things (even at my age) so don't expect much. The more I learn the better this will get. So I am going top rely on people in the thread to help others out. Please be respectful to one an other. Do not mirror my links/rom. If AFH becomes an issue I will resort to a different hosting site.
I would like to take this time to thank some people who without their input and work, this rom would not be available.

Hey dude. I saw this when you first posted it on YouTube. I installed this on Moto e4 plus 1776. It works. The only thing I notice is that the keyboard doesn't work sometimes. Like, when I try to type a search in YouTube the keyboard doesn't pop up. Also, I had a problem in full screen mode... it kept on flickering. Lastly, it seems to be draining my battery fast. Normally, I'd be at about 80% battery life for 2 hours of use. Now, I'm at 59%.
I think I'll uninstall it until a later time. You won't be updating it anyway. Thanks for your efforts.
Oh snap this is a new one that should work for GSM Carrier's??
Sorry just bought the phone a few days ago and I was bumming out I didn't see much action in here. But hey thanks for your work on porting this over man! Once I read a bit more into this device and your port I'll try and flash it hopefully it'll work for AT&T based Carrier Cricket. I've been wanting a root able phone for so long. Been a long time.
Yeah, usually after a days work with hardly any use I'd be at around 90% battery life. Now I'm at 54%. it drains battery life fast. It's a GREAT customizable rom but it needs work. It's a bit laggy too. Otherwise it works on boost Mobile Moto e4 plus... Qualcomm.
That's weird because I have been running it since I built it and haven't noticed any major difference in battery use.
The other posts about the keyboard, I'm not having either. I use Gboard and it works great.
I also do not get any screen flickering on my device, either in full screen it on rotation. If I did, I wouldn't have shared this. Since my skills are no where near what the other are I would have a hard time troubleshooting issues like that. So I tested this rom on my own devices for several days to be sure there were no major issues. But, devices are different (even the same model numbers can have their own quirky issues) so it could be a device specific issue there.
I will be updating this if the trees get updated by @SeanStar.
And as for device compatibility, I can only say that this works with the XT1775 because that is the device I have and can only test it in that and in Verizon carrier. That's not to say that it won't work on other models, since it does use the same exact trees that @SeanStar LOS unofficial build uses so in theory it should work on any device that his build works on.

This is a quick glance at battery life. More I just installed my latest build with Magisk pre installed so it didn't get much time to settle. That is the trick, the rom has to settle and the longer you run it the smoother it gets. This is also with no changes to the kennel settings.

@glockman4519, since this ROM uses @SeanStar work, it should work on Sprint, correct? I might take it for a spin this weekend.
Thanks for all the work that went into this.

It should work on any device/carrier that the unofficial LOS that @SeanStar built since this is using his trees.
The only thing is that I can't test for any other carrier than Verizon. It would be nice to get some feedback for the other carriers. Thank you.
Just got mine the other day, TWRP & Rooted with Magisk. Glad to see someone already jumping on these customs, nice job! Can't wait to give these a spin.

Good to hear. I've been running it from my first build with the no data issue till now with everything working and loving it. Resurrection Remix is like the icing on the massive battery cake...lol... ?
I'm on T-Mobile which is gsm. When on Lineage I had trouble when accessing data while talking. So far this has had no issues with data at all. I'll test Bluetooth later. Battery has been better than expected. It's not every day someone puts together something like this that works this well on the first build.

So is stock Moto pretty much always the best for battery life?
I haven't been running Resurrection Remix long enough to compare it stock yet but I can get up to 2 days on the battery with stock depending on how I use the device.
Extending Battery Life
I am still on Lineage, will try to install RR tonight if I can, but I extended my battery life by following the advice of @Goose03. Installed Kernel Adiutor from Play store. Set CPU to Conservative and rebooted. Very easy. Back to about what I had on Stock.

With the usual caveat that "Your Mileage May Vary" not at all. It depends on what you use the phone for. I manage two email accounts, use Skype and Discord, Chrome as a browser and often use GPS. Also Google assistant. No lag at all for me.
Try it yourself. You can always switch to On-Demand or whatever.
Never mind.

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES:1. Save ALL content you wish to keep on your PC or in a cloud.
2. Download this version of TWRP, ROM and Gapps to your PC.
3. Boot device into bootloader mode, then do:
Code:
fastboot -w
4. Install TWRP and enter recovery.
5. Flash ROM & Gapps.
6. Reboot system. Done
* Do NOT flash any vendor images, as this is included in ROM (thanks to StatiXOS team). If you run into any issues with getting AquariOS to boot, you will likely want to start this process over and do a flash-all install of the latest Google angler image before proceeding to step 3 (fastboot -w). If you're still having issues, feel free to ask for help in here or in our Telegram chat.
Q & A
Read this before telling everyone something is broken!
1. Android Pay isn't working!! What do I do?
Go into Magisk settings and toggle on the "Hide Magisk" option. Then try again. Also, I've found once in a great while, even with this enabled, it will say it failed - if this happens, just try again...it'll work.
2. It's bootlooping after flashing ROM with Magisk - now what?
Don't flash Magisk until you have already booted into the new AquariOS build at least once. If that wasn't your issue, sometimes Substratum overlays can cause bootloops. If you have anything applied, flash the SubstratumRescue zip from your substratum directory
3. Why is the built-in System Theme section greyed-out (background, accent, & fonts)?
When the Substratum app is installed, this section will become inaccessible in order to prevent conflicts. You CANNOT use them both at once!
Reporting a bug?
See how to do so here:
BEFORE REPORTING A BUG:
1. Flash the SubstratumRescue zip and see if your issue is still there.
2. If you have flashed a custom kernel or ANY OTHER MODs, delete 'data/system/packages_cache' then wipe dalvik/cache, and flash AquariOS again WITHOUT any additional modifications/custom kernel.
3. Check to see if your issue persists.
*Do NOT even bother reporting an issue if you have dirty-flashed AquariOS over some other ROM! We WILL be able to tell!
Logs are crucial to resolving almost any kind of issue. You need to provide a log in order for the issue to be addressed. Please also include info on how to reproduce the reported bug if possible (maybe even take a screen recording for us ).
If you need a log extracting app, try out CatLog!
Either save your log locally and share it, or paste your log into an online code sharing tool like hastebin.com - then share the URL after hitting the SAVE icon.

Nice going to flash tonight.
Good ??
Good job. I would like to thank you for this feature rich rom. I would like to report my thoughts so far.
On the first boot, the interface is laggy (probably due to setup scripts running in background). After a while and on the second boot, the lag goes away. I installed ElementalX kernel after the second boot, when the phone seemed stable enough. Set minimum CPU frequencies, disabled ElementalX gestures, and disabled ZRam through terminal, to avoid CPU waste on ram compression (I am a battery freak!). Greenify with aggressive doze on, google assistant with "ok google" during active screen, with almost all built in AquariOS and stock gestures on. Replaced camera with Camera NX.
The screen on battery drain seems no different than the stock to me, however, since I have installed another kernel it is not safe to assume my experience is exactly as developers planned. This is why I wont submit any log, yet I am happy with the setup, no force closes or reboots so far.
ٌWhat makes this ROM exciting to me is the extra features which I could not get without Xposed. This include network traffic, which tells a lot about the quality of connection, custom quick setting icon placement, physical button shortcut for torch, and night mode with warm color filter. I have all these functionalities through Xposed on my other phone, but Xposed is not stable on 8, which was a concern for me. I really appreciate the effort and time your team has put into this ROM, keep up the good work.
PS. I did not stay on the provided kernel so long, but I probably could achieve the same results through Kernel Auditor, which is what I should have done in the first place! The experience with provided kernel was as smooth as it could be (after the second boot).
Why is it so bad for lag?
What kernel is recommended to fix this?
Otherwise i like this rom thanks for all your work on it.

Reboot the phone after the flash, and the lag goes away
I had to install kernel auditor
Then mess around with the cores settings all is good now
I did have another question about the themeinterfacer I installed substratium but I had the thought I would not need it
I looked in aquarius settings and did not find anything or in display other than the accent colour what am I missing?

What else would there be? You get a light or dark set up with accents, and some transparency control. As stated in the post.

I wouldn't say it takes longer then any other ROM , but i don't stare at the clock while its booting.
There is an issue preciously noted about lag on first boot, that goes away after a reboot, so that might make it slower ?

He doesn't mess with his 6p much, so I'd quote me, or ask generally about the builds, but no, everything is working less anyone finds something.

I ended up flashing it. It was a little laggy to me. Not sure why. Also had a few features missing that I had gotten used to....but it had some nice additions that I haven't seen elsewhere.....all in all good rom though
Seems like the ROM is doing something terribly wrong. When I setup a PIN on first boot, and confirm it's working by inserting it when unlocking my device, and then try to get into recovery it doesn't work. System says the PIN is incorrect, and also on a normal reboot of the software.

Isn't the issue with pin in recovery because of setting a pin on boot? If that's the case you'd have to do some looking online. I think there's very specific ways you have to make the pin, have to use numbers, can only use a specific number of digits, etc.
I don't use pin on boot , so you'd have to do a search for answers.
If you're saying that you put in a pin, reboot and then the pin won't unlock the device, there's gotta be something wrong with your setup, I've used pin and FP unlock on every build, and I have never had an issue unlocking with pin.

Again, as stated, it is laggy until you reboot one time. After that I have never had lag with normal use.
