I'm using Google Play Console to distribute an app to a group of testers:
- I've been able to share the activation link to the testers and to install the application
- Then, I've updated the APK and changed the update settings to auto-update under all types of networks and flagged the "enable automatic update" inside the app settings
Considering that:
- The package name of the updated APK is the same as the old version
- The version code is greater than the old version
- The updated APK is signed with the same signature as the old version
- I've cleaned up the cache memory of Play Store and Play Services
- I'm able to see the update button
