OP has our permission to port our ROM. Once I get my own motox this device will definitely get support like the nexus devices we support.

cool

Do motorolla apps come with the rom or can we install them afterwards?

Forgive me for my noobiness and please correct me of any mistakes I might have. I checked on the Motorola website and couldnt find the equivalent of "Gapps." To my understanding the motorola apps are system apps and in order to install system apps to least bypass factory reset is to install them through custom recovery.
Any clue on where to find the apps if not on the motorola website?

You will most likely have to look for the motorola apps separately. I think it may not be possible to get them on an aosp rom. Go to the Q&A section for the moto x and request a dump of the motorola apps. Also request they be de-odexed to be safe. Again they may be framework dependent so AOSP may not work with the motorola apps.

UPDATE
So it looks like the surfaceflinger error is kernel based. I dont have the ability to modify kernels... If anyone has the time and skill can someone compile a kernel with the correct drivers? Here is an attachment of a partial logcat.

Ok, what device repo tee you using? CM's?

I don't build Roms from git because I don't have a Linux computer at the moment but I used paranoidandroid

If you can, can you try to build simpleaosp from our cm source? I know you don't have a moto x but I can test for you.

Blind development is a pain, but I'll see what I can do. but hopefully I get the device soon, I'll support it with simpleAOSP and the kernel.

Request, screenshots please..

Mount usb isn't working in twrp. It unmounts in a way that when you boot into rom, sd card doesn't show up. I tried connecting to pc, it shows up xperia u but there's no storage. Fix. It gave me a lil heart attack.
Dash clock Force closes
why?
Dev thread's first rule:
Report issues/bugs/errors along with logcat.
Other kinds of replies considered spam.
And buddies, this is the first version based on AOSX. It's more difficult to base it on AOSX than CM. So relax and enjoy the ROM and support devs by providng detailed info on bugs etc. along with steps on reproducing it.
And sorry for spam.

That'll be really great! :highfive:
Installed this ROM today. Seems pretty smooth so far. No idea yet of battery life.
Few small bugs I found:
1. Trying to set a PIN in Security crashes Settings
2. No light theme in Display > Theme
3. Trying to connect to LiquidDark builds to check for an update via Download Center crashes Settings.
No idea of what battery life is like yet. Only been using it for a couple of hours..

I resolved this by deleting all overlays and doing a soft reboot when requested. The downside to that is that I lost the blue setting bar on top and the settings icons colours were deleted. Is there a possibility for you to add them as a modifiable layer in Layers Manager?

Layers manager is a separate app that is being developed and maintained by a group of developers. Have a look here: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/102261717366580091389
I can not modify it.

Hi. You have missed my point.
I know that the Layers Manager is not developed by you.
By deleting all layers to get the light theme, I lost your specific initial theme customisations (blue settings icons and blue header image). So I was wondering if you could add those in a layer theme within Layers Manager.
I'm too lazy to reinstall LD just to explain what I mean, so will wait for the next version and do it then, if I remember
Its a trivial thing, so not too concerned about it. Definitely prefer you focusing on bug-fixing and feature implementation..

I totally agree. Though seeing what was available in the lollipop gives me hope. So for now I'd suggest anyone to let this project be here, and soon it will grow and grow. I'll understand if people will move from this rom to others... Time will tell, as with everything
I'll stay to RR till this rom get more features..
I tried OwnRom (old version) from L90, 5.1 then, a little port i made then just to try it.. I liked it very much, but the bugs were too many!

New Build
New build is up
View OwnRom's github for changes.
Added "interface" options.
Added "Notification Drawer" options.
Boot animation still doesn't fit the screen.
Did you add changelog ?? Or where can i find it? Just to see what's changed now or features added

no it's the same... doesn't fit to screen and as i noticed they made a category "interface" in OwnSettings with Buttons and Recents and added Notification Drawer.. Live Display still crashes settings. Tell me if you want to test something more or which ROM to test on daily use. I am on AICP for now ( i can back up and restore to test things out ) :good:
Going official
I'm happy to announce that the rom has gone official!
There will be a build every week or so and one every month.
Cyanogenmod are doing a lot of changes to LiveDisplay, and that is the reason why it is so bugged out at the moment.
New build V3.0
Download link is HERE.
Bugs are in the second post.

We are out of BETA!
Code:
A lot has changed over the passed month, and the ROM really starts to come together nicely.
Look though [URL="https://github.com/OwnROM"]GitHub[/URL]
And as always, feedback is helpful!
I tried to install it yesterday.. But i was stuck on boot animation. Anyone else tried that?

Wow, awesome ROM! Lot's of cool features similar to RR. I don't have any problems editing the Navbar, but I was wondering if the is any way to get rid of the "automatic brightness" icon by the brightness slider? Also, if you have time, maybe add 4 per row in QS and other battery options?

You can add 4 rows by going to "QuickSettings" in Additions and selection the Rows option. As for auto brightness I don't think its enable by default but I know that the icon is there even without it, I'll look into removing it. For battery options I don't completely know what you mean, but if you mean styles of battery we thought that the Circle battery, the portrait icon, and text were useful enough but I'll take a look if we can add more

- Builds will be coming out every week on Friday
- To get new builds go to our website at get.cypheros.co
- If you have a bug, post a logcat so that we can fix it
- Only post logs if you are not using any tweaks, kernels, etc.
- We don't support substratum officially but all AOSP ROMs support substratum natively so your usage may vary, if you have issues don't complain about it since we don't support it.
- I'll add more things here if people have questions
Good to see this on oneplus2 will try this now

Clean flash is recommended. you can try different kernels but don't expect any support from dev.

Do not dirty flash. Since we arent based off of Cm14.1 it will most likely give you a bootloop.

Very rude to ask.
Please make a nandroid backup yourself and flash the ROM. Then you can see if there are any bugs.
And if there are bugs you can just restore your nandroid backup.
