I'm sure a few of the devs will be taking a look at it. Hopefully we won't need new kernel sources or we'll be SOL

Are the factory images up as well? From my understanding we need those as well.

Thanks guys for all the work you do, I will also continue to check for the new Android lollipop for our G2

This is just stock KK/JB...?
(I couldn't tell since there was no point me watching the whole video)

I would love to see a ROM!
I'm here to help if testing needed or anything else.

Factory image supposed to be up within the week I think, possibly b4 n6 release but not likely

Nothing new.

No VS980 Firmware for Verizon or does the LS980 work for both?
yeah seems there's no vzw.But there'll be one soon surely @houstonn just started these builds but the are stable.
Can you make a video where you show how android 4.4 works on g2? Nobody has made one yet.. So would be great if you was the first:good:And one Question, how is the gaming performance on this rom compared to the stock 4.2.2 lg rom?

Going through this process now (first custom ROM flash) - and I wonder... does this update the kernel as well? I'm assuming yes, and wondering about the KnockOn functionality.
i was about to ask about knock on...i suppose it won't work

CM 11 unofficial builds

Hi everyone, I'm new here, so do I do it right? I would like fist thank you QuickS_NL to allow Xperia Z2 owners to install CyanogenMod 11, tank you very much as well as all of you developers that give your time and skills to share with us tech fans.
For you to know QuickS_NL, I tried the new build
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53181770&postcount=72
but it stays stucked on Sony display and don't reach the boot animation.
I will check and try each of future builds you release. Thanks again for the awesome work!

Do you have also an Xperia Z2? I find that build already very nice, aside the camera and the reboot after each screen lock, I believe all is ok?
Yes I do, yea those and no wifi tethering or kernel options to save battery life. I can't live with having to reboot my phone every time I want to use it, I don't have that kind of time lol, if that was fixed I'd probably use it as my main rom

Ah yes there is as well these small things. For the reboot, yes very annoying but the true is that my main phone is still Z1 and sometime I take a long time to prepare my Z2 to be very NICE (AdwLauncher, my apps, WiFi logins, etc)
As you seem to know well, can you reassure me that all these things I do will remain intact with the various updates until stable? (I hope so..)
Hey, the screen freeze have been fixed all alone on my device! Maybe after tweaking things? (I don't know how that is possible)
Do you want to report it to QuickS_NL?
If you are using anything that prevents deep sleep you won't get the touchscreen bug as it's caused by deep sleep by the looks of it, it's not officially fixed yet, QuickS hopes to have it fixed in the next build

Xposed doesn't work on Android L. Android L is exclusively ART and Xposed doesn't run on ART. YET. BUT, that seems like a simple xml change, shouldn't be an issue. Now we have to wait for the binaries to be posted. After that? Let the custom rom building begin.
I understand that it's easy to change, but it's the principle of the matter. It's clear that Google spends no time optimizing for the manta, and with volantis(HTC Nexus 8/9) being 4:3....it's very clear that Google doesn't give a damn about this device, or the 16:10 resolution...

i'm going to sync with source and then add this. then compile and test. Should be fun.
edit: syncing now and grabbed the props. Takes a few hours to sync tho.
And now it's compiling. Is there anyone interested in trying this if it's a booter? If so, make a backup now. There are lots of apps not supported just yet. Still takes a little while for this to compile on my server.

WIll edit this post with the zip when it's ready.

Progress!
Alright, we could start seeing some progress on root/custom ROMs soon. With those things, I'd have no reason whatsoever to even consider the OnePlus 3
Just the kernel I think.
Does this include everything needed for a custom ROM? Camera HAL? Fingerprint sensor driver?
This isn't progress. This is kernel source. Axon Pro's kernel source was also released.

Except this time around they're actually considering unlocking the bootloader. With everything they announced thus far, it seems like it could really be true. Of course, they can always change their mind about it later.

Wouldn't this help with development if the bootloader does get unlocked? Obviously it's useless to us at the moment if half of us still don't have the phone in our hands.

If you wanted to compile your own kernel, sure. There is nothing here to base a rom off of though. Bottom line is its useless without a boot loader unlock, no matter how many of us have the phone in our hands.

The kernel source code is what's needed from the manufacturer for custom Roms. Everything else can be extracted from the device. This can give a developer a headstart on device trees before the bootloader unlock.
