Bad idea. Wait for a Dev to get it and build or add the changes in what we already have.

If its not bypassed then I'm sure its a prep for the L update. We all know that often there is an update before the next big os jump. But idk. We shall see. Maybe its an update long overdue anyway. Lol
Sent from rotary technology Phone

with the LS990ZV5 update, Your G3 OS is still Android 4.4.2. The update should bring some minor fixes and security patch. Like the G3 D855 model have recently receive update with some security patch!
By the way, Some one already got the Android 5.0 Update on LG G3 F400S Model
http://www.mylgphones.com/android-5-0-lollipop-software-update-for-lg-g3-f400s19c.html

and that security patch may very well break root.
If you have TWRP don't take the OTA.
If you're not rooted, but think you want to root, don't take the OTA until we find out if it's been patched to prevent current root methods.
If you are rooted with stock recovery, don't take the OTA until we find out if it breaks root.

I'm hoping it fixes the horrible auto brightness and occasional unresponsive screen. Other than that couldn't be happier.

I see a lot of update button spamming in the immediate future lol

Not that I know of. Sprint's Community service people know literally nothing about this update as of this afternoon... ugh! I just want my compass to work. Then I would truly LOVE my phone... I wish Sprint had a clue.

At&t just got an update

Lameooo... I first found out about the Sprint LS990ZV5 update on November 6. It is now the 19... almost two weeks... Sprint Reps tell me they haven't heard of it... REALLY?
I have a possibly awesome phone without a working compass... that sucks! Of course, the update may NOT even have a compass fix. Who knows?!

Scratch ZV5, say hello to ZV6!
ZV5 isn't coming our way but ZV6 RDF is out and source has dropped.
I give it 24-48 hours before it is announced. Maybe sooner before someone finds the file and posts it.
Now, the million dollar question... does it break root?

Nice, glad to see you here garwynn, visited your threads allot when I had Note 2. I still have Note 2, but its just a wifi toy. Thanks for the stuff you do man............

Im downloading the source now and plan on finding out. Thanks for letting me know it was out! And thanks to @engine95 for pointing me to this post.
UPDATE: I won't have the time to mess with it too much tonight but it still uses Android source 4.4.2_r2 so no Lollipop yet.

Good News for you T-Mobile Guys

My buddy just got an OTA Update Notification on his T-Mobile S5. He went for it and it's Android 5.0!
It's rolling out finally! If I see him today (unlikely) I'll get screen shots of it and post em
im sure if its rolling out ppl will b posting here soon!
I took the OTA update 15 minutes ago... I'm still at 4.4.2...
Yeah, it's not NK2?
nk2 was 442 not 5 so no itd hafta be dated after nk2
Yea, NK2 just rolled out the other day. Doesn't make sense to do a 5.0 update days later.
Doubt it really much that tmobile will get 5.0 before the international versions do....... & from the look of things tmobile has been one of the latest carriers to push updates for the s5 this year
5.0 is nothing but BAD NEWS!
Might be a soak test. Would be interested to see a screen shot

Material design to me is just enh... but the big thing for me is the lack of Xposed on 5.0... until then i don't want it!
It's available on SAMMOBILE for download. I'm sure a port will show up sooner or later.

Anyone else waiting for the lollipop update?

I am admittedly shocked I haven't gotten the update yet. My wife got her update on her galaxy S5 about a week ago. I'm holding the mobile phone of the year abd I'm still waiting...what gives?
Sent from my Verizon LG G3 sexiness via tapatalk
It hasn't even been released or announced yet for that matter...
Everyone is waiting. However, Skydragon and Jasmine roms are available if you can't wait. They used the leaked LP builds and patched them to fix the crap Verizon is apparently still unable to figure out (otherwise they would have released by now).
I'm in the same boat. been lurking this forum to see if anyone got official OTA, disappointing...
Was running JasmineROM but switched to SkyDragon as I'm a huge fan of the developer. This rom legit has NO lag. I'm hoping battery life is gonna be a win too.
A few have gotten it, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't just me lol.

Skydragon is great. The battery life is awesome. I cannot stand waiting on slow Verizon to update anything. Also I have to have root. Cannot stand a stock phone lol.

Based on what has been released unofficially (23a and 23b), these are not "ready for prime time" use per the other threads.
No official announcement has been made as to when it will be released. Going to the official LG web site, you will see that currently, 12b is the latest official release.
Go here to see what the latest official release is:
http://www.lg.com/us/support/product-help/CT10000003-CT10000027-1414534794596
It tells you 12b is the latest release. So, not sure why you think the "few" who have received and update have received and official version because they haven't.
In both cases, it appears what they have received are possible private soak tests and for some reason, they got it pushed to their phone.
I believe in both cases, those were replacement phones. Could be those were refurbished phones that possibly registered to receive soak tests? I know when I had Motorola phones, I could register my phone (by IMEI number) and I could receive soak test builds. That might be what happened here in those two cases, but I don't know how LG does their private testing.
In any case, 12b is the only official latest build. 23a and 23b are NOT official builds. So, until we hear an announcement that LG/Verizon are ready to release the LP build, 12b is it for official.
And probably a good reason that they haven't released something yet. too many unresolved bugs I would suppose. At this point with the G4 on the horizon soon, I wish LG would push the 5.1 version and let verizon release that for the G3. Seems too many bugs on what has come so far.

I didn't detect any malice in his post. He was stating facts to quickly put to rest the question of if there's a "real" Lollipop release for the G3 that is pushing out. Best to put questions like that to rest as quickly as possible rather than let them drag out over weeks of "me too" posts.

We can have s-off for a fee but i noticed on the sunshine thread people were waiting to use it because they updated. Im not sure its worth the 25 bucks for me but also dont want to update then possibly regret it...
Right now im just searching for more info. Not even sure i need to return to stock to run sunshine but after trying the installer i now know i need to uninstall xposed.

I already own HTC One M7 and I have CM12 on it.
My Desire 610 will be stock and that's that. I don't care about anything, just need that Lollipop update.
Also I think that the release won't be this month. Probably the end of April but it's only my assumption.
Hopefully it's wrong.

Wouldnt surprise me. Originally sources stated the 3rd quarter of 2015 then someone here said march, and when i checked that was also true???
As far as s-off...im on the fence. Having it doesnt mean instant development of custom roms. This phone's coming up on a year and i get the feeling that ship has sailed. Essentially looks like itll be stock anyways. I only get the red message when booting to recovery so $25 isnt justifiable. But im hoping to have a reason to get it soon...
Well they missed the target with lollipop in march and now we're approaching mid April...of course this isn't news to most all of you but when I go to HTC ROM downloads site I see that ruu hasn't changed in a long time. Anyone know how that works? Do they only release certain updates in ruu format?
I'm just wondering if they'll put it on the site in a timely fashion or if I'm better off locking it up again and unrooting to take the ota...
I dont think we will have lollipop on this device, the infos about it are not official.
anyway correct me if im wrong

We would sooner get 4.4.4. Lollipop is just a fantasy on this device unless someone builds it for us.
http://htcsource.com/2015/01/leaked-document-reveals-htcs-lollipop-update-roadmap/
This is Not the particular article I read but if I find it I'll post it. Seems the device is more than capable of running it. I don't understand the business aspect entirely but I think since its still a relatively new phone they'd want to push the latest os.
Edit--most definitely right in assuming we won't be getting it soon. I remember reading awhile back 610 would be getting it in the 3rd quarter (probably early fall?) But then someone posted a "leak" here saying march or April the latest. Of course I was willing to believe. Now I see a schedule that puts us in what looks like the 4th quarter! Who knows...I think we'll get lollipop, I'm just not certain I'll still be using this phone when we do.

I think that leaked schedule online is accurate (which means I may not be using lollipop) I can't justify buying it now but I'm considering an s4 from swappa. Its not a definite but if lollipop doesn't come till around Xmas...that's a long time to wait. By that time other users might be anticipating the next OS!

Benefits of B322 over B309

Dear HAM2 users, I am currently on b309 and would like to update to b322 but hate re-installing all apps again. Hence I am reluctant so far for that reason.
Is there big difference in performance between b309 and B322?
Will there be another update to b322 or this is it?
The fact that everyone hasn't received ota update gives me impression that this is not final yet.
Is it worth the effort to update now or should I wait a few more weeks.
Thanks.

Not sure why people continue to rag on Huawei. They released LP on the HAM. They did a bunch of updates and then released B322. It seems to be working pretty damn good. They may release updates as they see fit. Think we should be happy we got LP quite frankly on this device. Then again, some people are never happy.

Not releasing KK and then being late releasing LP was very likely not making people happy from what I gathered reading the HAM2 forum here.
I just my mega HAM2 a few days ago . Waiting for Huawei to sent me my bootloader unlock code ( I was not one of the people who received a response withing hours ) so I can root my LP upgraded phone and hopefully Xposed framework will be working on the HAM2 in the not too distant future.

Doubtful. The only reason they released L to start with was because SOOO many people raised hell about it. Basically killing any hope of selling a lot of people devices in the future. And anyone researching huawei would see that failure. Again this isn't a successful business practice. I highly doubt any more updates... Unless its a major security flaw. Having CM support boosted the chance people may buy huawei stuff again. But only slightly. There is obviously fanboys of huawei.. Just like Apple has its lemmings. For huawei though that isn't a significant number of users. One can only hope they Learnd a lesson this time. As Scoots said. IF... Time will tell.

Seriously, who cares... Samsung branded phones are light years ahead of "stock Android" anyway. That's why stock Android has slowly been adding OG Samsung features into stock Android.
