About the Amazon Appstore donation-package issue
Dear users from Amazon Appstore,
My apologize for the recent issue of donation package via Amazon IAP. I'm still trying my best to find out the cause of this issue, but stuck in a hard situation.
I've received many complaints from users forwarding to me the words of Amazon Appstore support representative, stating that I've not even tested my app with IAP. That's not the truth.
Both my local test with testing tool from Amazon SDK and the regression test done by Amazon app review team passed without problems before the version release. But some days later, I started to receive feedback of the IAP failure. I can confirm the issue is global, including my test phone.
I have re-tested my app immediately with local testing tool, but it still passed the IAP test. So I tried to contact the developer support of Amazon Appstore for emergent version rollback and further cooperation on this issue, but yet no response in 2 days. Due to the complex "black-boxed" code injection done by Amazon server after APK submission, I can hardly debug this issue on my side.
===== Workaround =====
For now, please download the APK of previous amazon version
to see if they fix it fast

[Q] What is going on with the Market?

I few months ago I was able to purchase applications from the Market here in Puerto Rico. As everybody knows, PR is a US territory and it appears as a state when entering my information in the Google Checkout account and profile. For some stupid reason the Market (as I was told by a Google representative) Puerto Rico isn't in the list of accepted countries to purchase applications. Anyways I was able to do so by using my iPhone internet and clearing the market cache data.
Now I can't purchase anything by any means. The market web site only shows free applications only. The error message that I get is: "This app is compatible with some of your devices" which is false since I know the application is compatible because I can install the free version. When hit the PAY button the message i get it that the app can't be installed in my device and if i try to buy it using the market on the tab it says: "The item were attempting to purchase could not be found."
Right now I'm really frustrated and tire of dealing with this stupidity from Google. I love the tab and the Android platform but this is issue is limiting the usability since I can't purchase the applications that I want or need. Also this is really sad for the developers because this kind of issue will push other users to get the applications pirated from other sites freely.
My question: Is there a way or fix to overcome this? I tried to get help from Google in this matter but its impossible.
BTW, i noticed that a friend can purchase applications from his ASUS Transformer without issues. I registered his tablet in my google account and I was able to purchase the application using his tablet. Maybe since Apple blocked the sales of Galaxy Tabs is the Market now blocking apps for sale?
I will appreciate any help...

[Q]Any legal ways to recieve money not through in-app billing

I live in a country that can't register a google merchant account. I have some free ad-suported apps, but I want to make an ad-free pad version.
I see two ways:
- a paypal donation for ad removing (but I read that it isn't legal and my accoutn can be banned)
- a link in my application to my website to buy a Pro add-free version (not everyone will install an .apk from some website)
Any other legal way to recieve money from users for removing ads?
Don't mess with z google!

I think the google terms of service basically forbids you from monetizing a paid version without going through them. I wouldn't try to work around this problem. Don't mess with google. I have an account that is still banned from Ad Words because some friends (6 years ago) started clicking like crazy on all of the banners on my website. So, don't try to do anything subversive, it won't pay off.
So, your real problem is to get a google merchant account. That really sucks that your country isn't able to get one. Is there any person or company out there maybe that could be a go-between from another country that can have a merchant account? I really don't see any other safe solution. Good Luck anyway!

I have some problem few months ago, however it's no longer a problem because few week later, i receive a notif with a good news that my country are supported so i can create a google merchant account.
But before, I also did some thinking on how to work around it, yet, can't find any way to do that which doesn't break google policy.
I can't suggest any way beside waiting and hoping that your country will soon supported by google (not useful enough, eh ?), who knows ?
Some idea come to mind though, if you ask someone from other country which supported by google, who kind enough to make a google merchant account for you, so you can access it Iater from your country when the account has already been made, I don't know if it works, anybody try something like this before ?

USB/BT Joystick Center...why disappeared from Play Store??

Hi,why it disappeared from Play Store??Where can I find the latest free version??
Sent from my D5503 using XDA Free mobile app
Anyone??
Sent from my D5503 using XDA Free mobile app
I haven't found it using the Play Store search engine but I've still been able to find it listed as 'USB/BT JoystickCenter 2015' (green icon) under My Apps > All in the Play Store menu under the account in which I originally downloaded it. I actually paid for this app license in its early stage. Perhaps that's why I am still able to find and install from Play Store...? ?.
I searched github and the most recent activity was by Jared Morgan (jaredmorgs) in July 2016. He edited the README file stating that the dev has abandoned this app and the licensing server is down.
I emailed him asking how I can contact the dev Poke64738 but he said he didn't know. I've since backed up to Google Drive and Dropbox just in case it disappears completely. I don't know the rules of posting a link to download somebody else's app from my Drive acct. I will if it is allowed.

Man, I remember the good old days of using a Galaxy Tab 10.1 with honeycomb with that app. And when Wii Remotes actually worked out of the box without any extra dongles. And everything was inspired by Tron (design wise) instead of material design. And apps weren't bloated as all hell as they are now. And root ad blockers like AdAway were actually in the play store. And SuperSU wasn't sold to a Chinese company. And you didn't have to flash an extra zip file to install Xposed. And Tegra 2 was actually impressive. And touchwiz was awful. Those were the days.
Whoops. Got a little carried away. :silly:

Android Pay not working due to SafetyNet CTS Profile Match Fail

I just recently purchased and received in the mail the Pixel XL directly from Google just a few days ago.
I finally go into the Android Pay app to add my debit card and I get the error Message:
"Android Pay Can't be used. Google is unable to verify that your device or the software running on it is Android compatible" (See Screenshot)
I started this thread inside the Pixel XL forum here at http://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-xl/help/please-help-troubleshoot-android-pay-t3500925
However, I feel it's better if I post in this thread instead because this one is specifically for android development and the other one is not for Android Development.
Long Story Short:
I Purchased the Pixel XL Directly from the google store.
It arrived in the mail just a few days ago
it is unrooted
I have not unlocked the bootloader
I am the 1st owner who set it up.
and Android Pay will still not allow me to add a debit card.
Google Customer Support asked me to submit a bug report, and to sit and wait for them to respond to my bug report with a fix, However I would like to get this fixed ASAP instead of waiting for Google's bug-fix team (because who knows how long that might take)
I started researching online and discovered that someone else had my same issue that they spoke about on this webpage here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Nexus6P/comments/41sl7x/android_pay_cannot_be_used_google_is_unable_to/
However, he caused the issue by changing the DPI (I have not changed the DPI)
and someone in the comments section suggested installing the SafetyNet check app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scottyab.safetynet.sample&hl=en
I installed the Safetynet check app and found out my device fails the "CTS Profile Match" (See Screenshot)
How in the world an unmodified phone bought and shipped directly from Google store fails the CTS profile match, I have no idea...
it persisted even after a data factory reset.
If any of you have any suggestions on how I could fix this, I would be greatly appreciative !
