[Q] Andida battery - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello friends, my galaxy s ii is 3 years old, the phone is in excellent condition but the 2000 mah battery doesn't seems to last longer than 6 hrs. So I would like to replace it with Andida 2000mah battery for s ii. Should I go for it or just to replace my phone.
Regards Dave.

Ebay Batteries... do you use them?

I'm curious if anyone's used the "higher" Mah batteries from e-bay and if you actually do get more battery life.
My experience with aftermarket batteries has been hit and miss.
My HTC Hero ran great with no problems, long battery life
But...
My Motorola Milestone, and HTC HD2 ate up aftermarket batteries in less than 8 hours with minimal usage. I had to go back to using the OEM one
bump... so everyone's just sticking w/the OEM batteries? I've been looking at this one.

Oh well, I'm usually by a computer all day long anyways. Life goes on
Never used that battery but I have 2 1500mah ebay batteries and both last just as long as the samsung battery.

[Q] Battery Size (Galaxy S vs Galaxy S 2)

I've been around the block a few times with my Vibrant(s), yes, that was meant to be plural. I absolutely love it.
However, I'm running MIUI on one device and am looking for better ways to improve my battery life.
I'm interested in ordering a new battery. Found some decently priced 1650mah batteries on Ebay. My question is, the 1650mah from the Samsung Galaxy S 2, is it the same battery size as our Vibrants?
Ebay has a lot of choices for Samsung Galaxy S 2 batteries.
Thanks in advance users of XDA!
Galaxy S2 battery is physically different from Galaxy S battery and will not fit in vibrant.

What about The I9000 and the Vibrant?
don't know if the SGS2's battery is compatible with the vibrant, but if you want an inexpensive solution, on ebay you can find a powerskin for 12.99 refurbished or 16.99 new. http://www.ebay.com/itm/U-OEM-POWER...ain_0&var=&hash=item6fc4151a8b#ht_4039wt_1139
Thanks. I just bought one.

I9000 battery will work fine, I currently have a Mugen 1700mAh i9000 replacement battery in my phone; same size, lasts longer, and everything works great. Only complaint is they're on the pricey side ($45 or so). The mugen for our Vibrant is only rated at 1650mAh, so that's why I went with the one for the i9000

For $45 they better plan on coming by 2x a week to clean the lime-stain ring from the toilet bowl. For a "china-model" battery that's absurdly high.
But I am interested to see when this one goes to market if they've figured out how to produce a battery that'll charge inside the phone.
Not sure why ATT pisses off their customers by having Samsung spec a phone which requires customers to purchase batteries and phone parts direct from ATT. So annoying.
Anyone get it yet? I might order one on payday and report back unless someone beats me to it.

Bump.
Anyone using it? I'm considering getting it if anyone else has had a positive experience.
That seems kind of expensive. See the other thread where Hyperion is selling 2x1800 batteries and charger for $25 on Amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Hyperion-Samsung-Galaxy-Battery-Charger/dp/tech-data/B005XOHQ6Y/ref=de_a_smtd
No idea which is better but if Hyperion can provide this I would think Mugen could as well at the same price point. I would wait till it's cheaper or get the Hyperion. Hyperion model already has some good reviews on Amazon.
Doesn't the Hyperion have the bootloop problem with our phones

Hyperion has released a new one, specifically for the AT&T, that doesn't cause the boot loop. The reviews on the Amazon page so far has confirmed this.
Nevermind. Just saw the link.

for 12 u can just buy 1:

i would like to hear how the battery life is with this battery
Any significant increases in battery life? I've heard mixed reviews on the hyperion products.
Also the Amazon description says to use their charger? Any dangers with using the Samsung charger?
Just ordered one to try. Delivery is in about two weeks. I'll report back then.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S2
I dunno about hyperion but Mugen does give a chart that there is about 9% more juice in the 1800mAh battery...I think if you need a real increase it's better to check a solution with a backcover. 3200mah could do. I used 3300mah on my Nexus S and it was great.
So these extended batteries don't have nfc and they won't charge inside the phone correct?
Mugen Battery will last 1.09 times as long!
it reads" Mugen Battery will last 1.09 times as long!"
WOW that's allot!!! 9 %

Lol, exactly what I've been thinking. Until lithium ion is replaced, the physical size of a battery is a strong indicator of how long it will last. If it's 'barely' bigger. It will last 'barely' longer.

That's exiting. Will you be posting a topic about it?
Alright results are in and I'm sorry to say. The mugen battery did not outperform the stock samsung battery. Although it was close. When I got the battery I fully charged and discharged it 5 times as the manufacturer recommended. I did a simple test
1: brightness 100%
2: screen on 100%
3: Pandora streaming 100%
mugen=
Start: 4.190v
End: 3.16v
Total: 5.34hrs
Samsung=
Start: 4.190v
End: 3.025v
Total: 5.49hrs
I know we were all hopefulyhat this would be a better battery. Maybe my testing wasnt the best method, if you guys have a better way let me know so I can retest.

[Q] Extended battery issues

My other half's standard battery pretty well gave up so I bought her a Extended Battery With Battery Cover For Samsung Galaxy S3 ( 3500mAH, 3.7V ) and it doesn't seem to have made any difference at all to what she was originally getting out of the standard battery
I was wondering if maybe just putting the battery in and using it like a standard battery isn't correct? Her phone is rooted and running Omega rom.
On the site where I ordered the battery from it says the battery should last up 70 hours but 24 seems to be the go
Any help appreciated

You must have bought a cheap battery. Most of the battery out there are cheap which does not seems to be good. If you really need a good extended battery then go for Zero Lemon.
Buy her a oem extended battery.. It lasts a 3rd longer than stock, has nfc and isnt that much thicker. Plus its original samsung. ^^

I did, nice, it's in German. So, overpriced and the site is in German. Pass.
I ordered today and the german has done google translate.
I stay away from cheap chinese batteries.
I am a fan of Anker batteries, they are great quality, at least as good as Samsung's.

I do highly recommend. Never more than $15, I'd suggest give 25% more life, and having used them for maybe over a year each on two different phones, I don't notice the life dropping.
A few weeks ago I swapped to my original battery, forgot I had done so, and suddenly wondered why my phone was draining fast.
I've got no connection to the company, and in my early Note 1 days I'd buy dozens (well, loads), of unofficial batteries and these were my fave. As others say, I hear good things about Anker too. But find an MPJ on eBay and you'll be happy.

It's sad we got lot of external batteries from lots of brands but we don't have any brand who make internal batteries we can trust.

Yes we are looking for a battery with more mAh and that you do not need to change the look of the phone. IDo not like the phone thicker. Manufacturers are frivolous batteries up to 3200 mAh and the label put 3500.4200 mAh. So I saw the people at KING. I opened the outer handout was printed inside the battery and 3200mAh and I gave a lot of money. I could die a fool I am. The only original batteries are slim, so. Too bad those are not the ZeroLemon and slim extended battery for Note 3 as make 3000 mAh Galaxy S4 and are very good.

We have options:
1-Use an external battery case
2-Have an extra battery so when the first battery gets low, you just swap to the new one. The problem is that the phone shuts down (except if you have external power source plugged)
3-Using a battery charger, basically a battery with a cable you plug to your phone and charge.
I'd go 2 or 3, but 2 can be bad if you dont have a external battery charger that you plug on the wall , and 3, it takes lots of time to charge the note 3 specially if you are not using USB 3 or a capable device with high charging capacity

And you're so right.
A couple of years ago (around the time the nokia 3210got released) my aunt bought a chinese battery for an alcatel phone. The battery went boom and it took her a long time to be able to leave her phone charging till it was full.
I'm not gonna take the risk to blow up my phone to save a few bucks
