Finally i rooted my new Grand Prime successfully
I so desparately wanted to root my new Grand Prime so I tried rooting by myself as it wasn't available by chainfire.
I haven't done much here, I just modified few files of CF-Auto-Root which was made for different device by chainfire.
Couldn't attach the file here as the size is 44MB
Download it from here: h t t p : / / d - h . s t / AWH
(remove spaces in the above link)

The zip archive contains:
Odin v3.07
2_cache_recovery_stock_mohan_sm-g530h.md5
1_cfroot_sm-g530h_mohan.tar.md5
Rooting method is simple.
Boot device into download mode and flash the first file: 2_cache_recovery_stock_mohan_sm-g530h.md5
Wait for the device to reboot and again boot into download mode and flash the second file: 1_cfroot_sm-g530h_mohan.tar.md5
Now after the device has finished reboot you can see SuperSU installed. Open it and it will ask to disable knox notification... Press Cancel.
If SuperSU asks for su binary update, just press the Normal button.

Yes, this will trigger the binary counter and your warranty will be void and there is no way to reset it. Flash this at your own risk.

Dear Masters,
My friend is having a Samsung galaxy ACE GT-S5830i which has got a booting problem.
He has not rooted it and it is getting a bootloop. I have tried to flash it by using ODIN in download mode but in vein. Please do guide me how to solve this issue.

is it booting into download mode? if yes the prob is with your pc...get the drivers and other stuff ...........do untick protect ops and auto reboot option in odin...........if none work post a ss or copy paste the error you get while flashing sir

Thanks for your valuable reply but I would like to tell you that I have downloaded a file "S5830iXXLD3_S5830iODDLD2_RST_S5830iDDLD1_HOME.tar.md5" from Sammobile.com in a zip format but I am getting a message of "File checksum Failed!!".
Also if I am attaching the zip file directly, it is not checking anything and still the mobile is not detected even when I have downloaded the drivers.
What I think is my USB samsung driver and my ODIN package are not correct. Also might be the ops file is not propoer. Can you please guide me the path to download all these three files.

if its a checksum error it wasnt downloaded properly......redownload the tar file...i dunno whats the board name of your device..(i need to this to find the ops)

galaxy ace -cooper
galaxy mini -tass
ht explorer -pico
the ops for our device will have the name of our board........

And my board name is galaxy ace -cooper only as I said the model is GT-S5830i.

Great, once downloaded, install Kies (if not already) and then:
1. - Put the device in Download Mode (turn off the device, press the volume down button and the home button (middle one), and while pressing then boot the device).
2. - Connect the device to the PC
3. - Open Odin (in Administrator Permissions if you are in Windows 7 or Vista) (There should be a yellow square)
4. - Check the One Package check box at the left.
5. - Now click the OPS button at the middle and select the Cooper.ops downloaded before.
6. - Now decompress the ROM.
7. - When finished go back to ODIN, and click the One Package button, and select the decompressed file before.
8. - Click Start!
9. - Your device should reboot when finished.

Gt-S5830i is flashable with Odin v1.85 you don't need a pit file.
If you got "File checksum Failed!!" message then you have to split your firmware with SplitFUS (read this thread completely http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1611225 ) you need cygwin on windows to run it

Hi, we have a Samsung galaxy GT-s5830 when we try to turn it on as per normal with the ON button on the right hand side the phone briefly lights up and flashes and goes back to complete black/darkness. most noticeable in dark environments, help will be greatly appreciated as our son uses this phone in emergencies

cooper is for s5830

please download a splitted firmware.. there will be three files
download drivers on your computer..
open odin on pc
open download mode on mobile
odin will give green signal if it has recognised your phone
the put the files in their slots..
then click on start
i hope this works
for entering download mode try this:
remove battery
hold both volume buttons
plugin the usb
if you get a blank screen now then just press the volume up key
odin should recognize your device
go here if you need more info..

When i root my grand 2 i worngly uninstall all google app like play store and service etc
So what i done i just download the gapps for android version 4.4.2
And flash it you can try if you don't have custom recovery
Then many install it to system app using es file exporer According to zips file of gapps
For English language i think me we first time or after the hard reset it ask for the language or goto
Setting-under system tap-language and input-language
Try it may work for you

I found Gapps (gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip) for Android 4.3 – Jelly Bean (Gapps CyanogenMod 10.2) but not work!
I turn off a phone. Push button UP+HOME+Power and come to android system recovery.
I chose "apply update from external storage" from android system recovery and chose gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip
And than come message: failed to verify whole-file signature
I think that I need Odin package and not zip file, because this phone is made for China and I don't find a CWM recovery for this phone
Do you have any Idea?

Odin says ok, but i still can't get recovery.same thing happen with CWM.i dont know whats wrong with my s5310.this is frustrating.

to check for md5 of a file in linux you can
Code:
md5sum FILE
in Windows use some software.
But if the server doesn't support md5 you can't compare them. Instead, check file size to have some reference.

-Then use a text editor to edit the file on your SD card. Add "Net.tethering.noprovisioning=true" as a new line at the end of the file and save the file (I also did this with Root Explorer)
-Then replace the original file with the modified copy, change the file's permissions so it's the same as the original file, reboot, and you're good to go.

That's your best method. Follow my guide, root, and then download Xposed to not have to worry about hotspot checking.

x theter should be needed. after rooting... through xposed
