[Request] Wear Phone Switcher - Wear OS Software and Hacking General

Maybe someone can help, but Beelink use to work great until the latest update to Wear devices was released.
If anyone is like me, they would like to have there watch be able to switch between phones without having to do a factory reset on the device every time (I use an old phone for working out and not my everyday phone).
Can someone help and make an app, similar to beelink (which is unavailable now), that can bring this functionality?

That would be super handy with so many roms to try it socks having to pair the watch over and over.

I agree. Another reason why this would be awesome! Can anyone help???

Ya I'm seriously interested as well. Been changing roms so much this past week.

This is a way

Bluetooth Devices

EDIT: Never mind, tested it on other phones and it works fine. Apparently my phone's hardware has broken Bluetooth. Great. Might just switch phones because of that.
Okay. So, I took the plunge and bought the Sony Smartwatch 2. It's a nifty device, and I've had my eyes on it for a while. But here's my problem - It'll stay connected via Bluetooth, but it won't sync information. I've already asked around on those forums - Those guys aren't much help. The thing is, I think my phone's Bluetooth is faulty or malfunctional. It doesn't work with my MOGA controller either.
I am sincerely asking, is there any way to fix this?
And yes, I know this isn't the right forum - But I'd be drowned out by everyone over there asking about Security Errors because they didn't read.
Thanks in advance. I'm flashing Kuma's ROM again (Currently on V21D from Wind) and factory resetting, going to see if that'll fix it.

Lollipop ROMs so far incompatible with smartwatches?

So I tried out the new Lollipop builds floating around the VZW Dev forum (I tried every single build) and I'm having issues connecting to my G Watch. I have, since, reverted back to 4.4.4 LiquidSmooth to get it working again. It seems that 5.0 can see the watch via Bluetooth and the watch can see the phone, but the Wear app will not connect the two together. I haven't seen anything about this so far, but it's not likely that many people installing these ROMs are looking for compatibility with their smartwatch. I wanted to put it out there that, at least for my VS985 G3 and my LG G Watch, 5.0 won't connect the two. If anyone has had any luck with making a connection on a 5.0 ROM, please do reply and tell me exactly what you're using and what you did, because I have been eager to get 5.0 since Material Design and ART runtime was announced.
I know we have (or had) an issue with bluetooth calling devices, but since the watch works 100% on LS KK, I'm not sure what the issue could be here.
I've gotta factory reset my 360 any time I jump to another ROM. Can't speak for the G watch but the Moto 360 works fine on 5.0 so I'd assume you can. If that's the only thing keeping you off of 5.0 it'd be worth giving a reset a shot.
Need to reset you watch
I agree with dustinb17. Any time you move the watch to a new device or new rom, you have to reset the watch. It kind of makes sense in a way. its storing body vitals and such and it doesn't know that the phone is changing and not the person.

[Q] Does such a device exist?

Hi everyone,
I deeply miss the good old days, when a phone could be used continually for several days. The pre-smartphone era. I kinda want to go back there, but of course by now I'm addicted and tied to things like Whatsapp, Dropbox, you name it. Over the last few years I went with an LG Viewty, HTC Desire and for the last two or so the Sony Xperia SP. But honestly, I could easily do without a smeary, powerhungry touch display.
So I figured, the perfect device would feature a candy bar form factor, Querty keyboard, 4G, wifi, and in a perfect world also Android.
I wasn't able to find anything like that on the Internet. German Filter Bubble could be a reason.
Does anyone know about such a device?
Thanks in advance for any helpful hints!

Any info on JXD devices? Trying to root S192.

I can't seem to find any info here (or anywhere else, really) for this device made by Chinese manufacturer JXD. Here is a link: http://www.jxd.hk/game-console/s192/
It runs the nVidia Kepler chipset. This means, in theory, I should be able to wipe this device and flash the nVidia Shield Tablet K1 stock ROM on it. I can't seem to find any information on how to do it, though. Looks like there is very little information about this particular manufacturer in general. I was wondering if anyone here has any information about this device they can share with me?
Thanks.
Hi, was just able to root mine using kingoroot (pc version) moments ago.
https://www.kingoapp.com/root-tutorials/how-to-root-android-4.4.htm
GL! Hope someone would make a marshmallow rom for this great device..
Kingoroot installs some apps with it on your pc and device so just uninstall them too.
Hello
at the moment there is nothing that's a shame for a jxd device does not upgrade a marshmallow
The device is great to play but this way it only uses for retro games
P.S I HOPE THAT SOMEONE VERY GOOD WE CAN HELP
BUT I BELIEVE THAT NO MAYBE it ABLE TO UPDATE THE JXD SINGULARITY
good day
Can you guys give a review of this device?
I'd like to know how the controls feel (compared to an xbox gamepad)
Additionally, I'd like to know how it works with PS4 remote play apk and moonlight (for PC streaming)
As for how to for flashing..etc I could definitely work on that as I'm looking to buy one but I'd like to know more about the device since there are ZERO reviews out there for this.
The controls are well built and it is really comfortable to hold. I had this for 4months and loved it. Unfortunately one of the joystick broke and had to return it. Return process was dodgy but luckily I got my money back. Now I have the GPD XD. User experience wise I liked the JXD S192 more.. Though mine broke, I'd still pick the JXD S192 over the GPD XD if given the chance. The screen was awesome for any gaming.. I'd honestly say they hit the sweet spot design wise.
***********WARNING FLASH/INSTALL @ YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!*************
I do not take any responsibility if anything were to go wrong in the process of installing any apps to your device!!!!!!
Hey Guys
So I recently brought the JXD S192k of GearBest and the first thought that came to mind was how i was going to root it just like all my other android devices, little did I know just how difficult it was gonna be to find any information regarding the root process.
All searches regarding this device and obtaining root were fruitless, it didn't matter what I searched under there's just isn't anything out there!
Frustrated I turned to Kingoroot only to find myself more frustrated as i needed to reroot everytime i restarted the device, each time taking longer than the last and keeping this thing ON was not an option.
Then.........I happened to stumble across something that changed everything, looking through the official JXD digital site I saw that they had a Firmware available for the previous version the S192 and in amongst the files was a Root apk. So I thought to myself there isn't much of a difference between the 2 devices so I downloaded it from the Mega site and transferred it to my device.
Once it installed it was just like the Chinese version of Kingoroot and even through everything was in Chinese you could pity much make out what you needed to press. The process it didn't take long and with the 2 root checker apps installed I confirmed that I indeed rooted my device so I went ahead and installed BusyBox to the system.
The best thing about this process is not having to worry about losing root upon restarting, there's one thing that I should mention is NOT to install any sort of SuperSu apks or zip files as you'll get a error message stating the SU binary is occupied. Just use the INBUILT supersu that comes with the Root apk and you should be fine.
Here's some screen shots taken from my system to show that it does work, along with my system details taken from Device info apk.
Hopefully someone out there in the XDA community can expand on what I've stumbled across in the hopes that one day we'll be able to get a custom recovery for our machines.
I have owned the sinigularity for about 4-5 years and I think its an awesome bit of gear for what it is. The controls work fine and feel good in the hand and I've used it with remotr linked to my PC and and found it did work fine for games that didn't require split second reflex timing but there was a little lag. Over all it worked great and you can run your PC remotely from other rooms in your house (if you wanted too).
The 10,000 mah battery is the real deal and has plenty of playtime.
I use it a lot for playing movies and link it to a projector via the HDMI output. The screen is a great size and I don't know how they didn't become more popular.
I only found this thread because I was looking for firmware upgrades but as you all know there doesn't seem to be any. Either way I'm still using it but it would be nice if they had support.

[mod] Wear OS on Fossil Q Explorist Gen 3 - Don't want Google

Hi all. First post here, but I have been reading a few thigs all over the place for some time and think this is a great place and resource, and every Android user should be directed this way. I'm not, however, a big fan of Google. I currently have an iPhone (don't hit me), but will be switching to an Android (as yet undecided which model, Sony XZ1C seems complicated for rooting due to DRM issues which I understand can be fixed now, OP 5T / 6) in the near future as the battery is not long for this world.
I got the above watch for Xmas, and I was wondering if there is a way of running it without the use of any Google services? A read around the wider web suggests that Asteroid OS can't be installed as it has no data out pins, but I have enabled developer options and there is an option to allow debugging over wifi. Can I therefore root the device over wifi and remove the need for the play store? There are a few standalone apps that would suffice for what I want to be able to use it for to be honest.
My biggest concern with rooting it over wifi is that it resets everything, loses the wifi connection and I then have no way to restabish the connection or send commands if it gets stuck somewhere. I think my wife might be a bit annoyed if I brick my Xmas present! I really do like this watch as well, a very nice looking watch that's a bit different to the offerings from the phone manufacturers.
Any thoughts on this greatly appreciated. Having looked around the web, I think I'll either be going for Sailfish or Lineage once I get an Android device.
Have a great day all and I'm looking forward to becoming more involved on these wider fora over the comings months.
All the watch and the OS is built around Google. This is not Android, WearOS communicates to the phone, tracks fitness, weather, manages battery and everything through Google Services.
And why would you remove them?
Sorry but even if you find the way to remove Google (by voiding warranty), the watch wouldn't work anymore as it should.
P.S. with WiFi debug you can only do debug, no root.
