[Q] Need files to update firmware

My Galaxy Tab 10.1 with Android 3.2 is stuck on the Samsung Galaxy Tab screen. I figured if I try to change/update the firmware I might be able to get past it. I tried so many different things to fix this using Odin. I found an article with these steps:
Firmware Update Steps:
Run Samsung P7510 Downloader.
Check these options: Re-Partition, Auto Reboot, F.Reset Time.
Click PIT button and select: android_fastboot_emmc_full_p4_16G_32G.pit
Put the Tablet into dwonload mode: ( Press Volume Down + Power for 10 sec ) then press Volume Up to enter Dwonload mode.
Connect USB cable to phone and PC.
Make sure that the program has detect the phone.
Click Start button to flash PIT file and wait to see PASS! word on the program.
Now click on Reset button and uncheck this option: Re-Partition.
Click BOOTLOADER button and select: BOOTLOADER_P7510xxxxx_CL317542.tar.md5
Click PDA button and select: CODE_P7510xxxxx_CL317542_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
Click CSC button and select: CSC_P7510Oxxxxx.tar.md5
Remove battery off and reinsert it then put the phone into download mode again.
Connect USB cable to phone and PC.
Make sure that the program has detect the phone.
Click Start button to and wait to see PASS! word on the program.
After phone rebooted do full reset by this code: *2767*3855#
My dilema, where do I get the necessary files. I searched and all I keep getting are more links with the same instructions and file names. If I can fix the issue without doing the update, that would be awesome. I messed up when I tried to put a ROM with ICS on it, this one (AOKP_ICSROM/aokp_p4wifi_milestone).....Please help.
When you get stuck at that screen all you need to do is boot into recovery, wipe data/cache/dalvik then reflash the rom. Just happened to me with an ICS rom too.

If you still have a good image on your tablet you can indeed boot into recovery and reinstall that one:
- hold left volume button down while booting
- Now you should enter a menu, left for flashmenu, right for odin download mode
- press left volume button to select flash menu
- press right volume button to select
- wipe data/factory reset
- install zip from sdcard
If you do not have a correct firmware file on your device download it here:

Installation Guide
1) Make sure you have the drivers installed
2) Extract ur firmware it to get its content which would be a .tar
3) Download Odin3 v1.85. Then, extract it to get these two required files – Odin3 v1.85.exe and Odin3.ini. Do NOT delete the .ini file since it’s required too. When asked in step 6 below, open Odin by double clicking on the Odin3 v1.85.exe file.
4) Disconnect your tablet if it’s connected to PC. Power it off. Wait 5-6 seconds for vibration to confirm complete switch off.
5) Now, put the Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet in Download Mode (also called Odin mode) — press and hold, until Samsung Galaxy logo appears — these keys together: Volume_DOWN + Power.
6) Wait till you a screen with options to boot into recovery or download (odin) mode.
7) Press Volume Up key to boot into download mode.
8) Open Odin (from step 3) — Odin3 v1.85.exe. Admin privileges would be required!
9) Connect your Galaxy tab 10.1 tablet to PC now. You should get the message “Added! !” under the Odin’s message box in the bottom left. And you should also see COM port with a number in Yellow. If you don’t get this message, then probably there is a problem with drivers. Make sure you’ve the right drivers installed!
10) Select these files in Odin at respective tabs.
11) Click the PDA Tab, and select the big .tar file “P7510XEUKL2_P7510XXKL2_HOME.tar.md5″
Important! Make sure these 2 check-boxes are selected: Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time. Also, leave the Re-Partition check-box clear (blank), as we are only using a .tar file or PDA file to flash.
12) Double check everything said in step 11.
13) Now, hit the START button to begin the flashing process. When it finishes, your tablet will automatically reboot — and you can unplug the cable when Galaxy logo appears. Plus, you’ll get a PASS (with green background) message in the left-most box at the very top of the Odin. If it’s red and with FAIL written over it, the process flashing process wasn’t successful, Try again, and take care to complete the whole process without any break whatsoever.

How do you get the drivers that work when the Tab is booted to ODIN? I've tried everything I can find and have been unable to get the correct drivers installed.

Install Kies and it should install the drivers. I'm pretty sure you can download them from samsung.com too. But when you use odin make sure that Kies is completely closed (even check in processes in task manager) or odin won't work

[Q]About rooting official 4.1.2

Hello i just upgraded my phone to 4.1.2 jelly bean official rom by changing my css to Fop and my device auto updated,My problem now is that i want to root my phone ,i did some search in the google and i found :
Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe.
Power off your phone. Wait 5-6 seconds to confirm complete switch off.
Now, put the Galaxy S2 I9100 phone in Download Mode by pressing pressing and holding down the Volume Down and Home buttons while pressing the Power button. A screen will come up; press Volume Down key to continue to enter Download Mode.
Now run Odin3 v3.07.exe (see Step 2) as an Administrator because Admin privileges is required to complete the process smoothly.
Now connect your Galaxy S2 I9100 with your PC using USB cable. A message will appear under Odin’s message box in the bottom left saying “Added!!”. If you don’t get it, then try another USB port. If that too doesn’t work, then reinstall the USB driver. If you successfully see the “Added!!” message in Odin, you are good to go. Also, check for COM port with a number in Yellow to make sure that you have successfully added your device.
Select these files in Odin at respective button:
Click the PDA Button, and select the Siyah-s2-v6.0b4.tar file.
In Odin window, make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are selected.
Double check everything. Hit the START button to begin the flashing process.
Once the flashing process is completed, the tablet will reboot automatically and you will see a PASS message in the top-left-most box. You can now unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.
Your Galaxy S2 I9100 running XWLSD Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware is now rooted. If there are any issues, feel free to post in the comments section for our staff to take a look at it.

Root Galaxy Note 10.1 SM-P601 Running P601XXUBMJB 4.3 Jelly Bean through Odi

All the credits to
Chainfire

Download Odin 3.09 and extract the Zip file: Odin3_V3.09.Zip
Now, Switch off your Tablet and boot Galaxy Note 10.1 P601 into Download Mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down+Power buttons together (long press until the boot screen appear), now press Volume Up key to proceed to Download Mode.
Run the Odin3 v3.09.exe file as an administrator (Right click on the .exe file and click on Run as administrator)

In Odin3 screen, you should see a COM Port number like “0:[COM7]” at ID:COM section and “Added!” text at the message box. This means your device has been detected by Odin3.
Make sure that, only the “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” options are checked.
Now, click on the AP (PDA in older Odin) button and select the CF-Auto-Root-lt033g-lt033gxx-smp601.tar.md5 file.
Finally, click on the Start button to begin the rooting process, wait few moments.
Once completed, you would see “PASS!” message in ID:COM port having green background
Your Tablet should automatically reboot after completion
You can now disconnect your Tablet from computer
Finish
This means that it doesn't break the warranty knox ?
If so this should be stick and beg for 600 and 605 version! Although i've already broke mine.
It is the same method as with the others devices. If you install a samsung unsigned recovery(this is cf-auto root) and kernel etc. it trips your knox counter.

Samsung Galaxy Stardust (SM-S766C) Bricked

Hello everyone!
Unfortunately, I was an idiot and did not do my research before attempting to install a custom ROM to my Galaxy Stardust without a backup. Predictably, I tried to install the wrong ROM and am now bricked. Does anyone have a backup or any ROM that I can flash to my phone? Thanks very much in advance!

Go to sammobile.com register with the free account and then click firmware. Once you are there type your model number. It should be sm-s766c but to make sure download a device info app to check. Then click the button to search on sammobile. Now just download Odin, you can Google it. Then extract the firmware. Go into your phone's download mode by shutting your phone down and holding home, power, and volume down button till the download mode screen pops up and in Odin a blue box shows up around the top left of odin. Click the"ap" spot in Odin and select the file you extracted. Then make sure this is correct in options: box 1, ticked. Box 2, not ticked. Box 3, ticked. Then hit start and when it says PASS! you can unplug it. If it doesn't work or goes into a bootloop. Go into recovery by holding volume up, home and the power button and factory reset it.
