Exclusive to XDA: Alpha Release of Gear Notification Extender(Updated: 3/23/2015) - Samsung Gear S

As the title calls out this is an ALPHA release of my new app: Gear Notification Extender
FULL DISCLOSURE: THIS VERSION WILL EXPIRE 7 DAYS FROM INSTALL. THERE IS A PAID APP IN THE PLAY STORE . IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THAT PLEASE DO NOT DOWNLOAD.
DISCLAIMER: THIS IS ALPHA CODE. IT HAS BUGS, IT MAY MISS NOTIFICATION, IT MAY REPLY TO THE WRONG PERSON.
I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA OR HARM TO YOUR PHONE OR GEAR DUE TO THE DOWNLOADING OR USE OF THIS APPLICATION!!
IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE HELPING TO WORK OUT THESE BUGS PLEASE DO NOT DOWNLOAD.
Ok now that you know the risks, lets get to the good part:
What is this?
This app will allow Google Hangouts, GMAIL( and in theory many more) to interact with your Gear S in a more advanced fashion. To be specific you will now be able to reply to Hangouts and GMail messages from your Gear S.
This app integrates with the normal notification model of the Gear S, so these notifications will be in the same place your current notifications are and you will interact with them in a very similar fashion. This is not an attempt to turn our Gear S into a Android Wear Interface.
Things to keep in mind that will likely never change:
1) Notifications Reply capability is lost when my app gets forcefully stopped or you reboot your phone. You can either have old notifications dismissed from the gear each time the service starts or you can leave them there, but reply will not work on old notifications.
2) As stated above this is NOT a Hangout client, you cannot initiate conversations from this app.
How to Install:
1) Install the APK on your phone
2) Open the app on your phone
3) Enable Notifications for this app(First option on the app screen)
4) Set preferences.
5) Enable Gear Notification Extender in the Gear Manager Notifications window
6) Disable Notification for any apps in gear manager that you want going through Gear Notification Extender(Though you can leave both enabled, you'll get your notification twice).
7) Some Apps(Hangouts 2.5) need android wear application installed before they add the proper actions to the notification. I suggest installing it from google play.
8) Enjoy
Please See the attached screen shots if you are having issues installing.

Ability to have Gear Extender look for notifications with actions that the stock app will ignore and handle these notifications even without selecting the app specificially.
Links in messages turned into actions in notification that you can send to Opera
All Actions that are available for a Notification in Android are turned into actions on the Gear. Main action(Usually Reply) gets Icon, all the rest are in the option menu.
All notification with Reply also get the hangouts Preselected text template replies(User defined coming soon).
All Notification have "Open On Phone Action"
Images in Hangouts will come through
Dismiss/Mark as read capabilities.
Avatars can be displayed as backgrounds for Notifications, Also works for music apps that put album art in the notification window DO NOT USE
Handling of Ongoing Notifications like Music Notifications. Will update existing notification in Gear Extender rather than generating new items, to avoid clutter.
Debugger option to allow for testing.
User defined text templates(Your additions are added to the top of the list pulled from Hangouts)
Ability to pull actions out of advanced notification(Google Music, Amazon Music...) "Dig Deep"
Option to have text templates or keyboard reply as default
Workaround for certain languages(Turkish) due to Samsung Bug
Fixed issue with reading notification on watch causes phone and watch notification to disappear(When you had both Dismiss options on). Should now leave the notification on the watch even though the notification on the phone is dismissed.
Better support for other IM applications
Quick fix for some new bugs introduced with text templates
Fixed issue with GMAIL labels not pulling the email bofy
Per-app settings
Smart Relay Support
Known bugs/Limitations:
1) All notifications handled in Gear Notification Extender go in one bucket in the Gear S Notification section. I am working on trying to break them out by source, and maybe even by sender, but no promises.
2) Currently when you read a dismiss a notification on you phone, your options are to leave it on the gear or remove it from the gear, unfortunately I have no been able to simply mark them as "read".
3) Some Languages on some phones seem to be incompatible and cause the the notifications on the watch to be blank.(Workaround now included)
4) I'm sure lots more.
Demo Expiration 7 Days from install.
Version 1.6.1 4/11/2015
- Add Sub Text Option
- Add Remove duplicates option
- Add support for Cloud Magic Email
- FIx issue with crashing when replying to dead notifications
Version 1.6.0 3/23/2015
- Fix for Smart Relay
- Fix for Calendar
- Add ability to specify default action index in per-app settings for "Dig Deep" actions. Primarily for Music players to specify which action button you want as the default.
- Added Notification Actions in "Dig Deep" parsing. Allows for actions that show in the notification panel to work with Gear S.
Version 1.4.9 2/13/2015
- Fix for GMail on Lollipop
Version 1.4.7 1/27/2015
- Per App Settings: Long press on the application in the application list to bring up settings for that app. You can use this for Hangouts/Gmail if you uncheck Hangouts on the main screen.
- Support for ENotify Email Client
- Experimental: Number of Vibration and Sounds
- New app specific setting to turn off notifications without actions(should help eliminate duplicate and garbage notifications)
- Bug fixes.
- New Demo Mode(good for 7 Days from Install)
Version 1.4 1/14/2015
-Can now reply to notifications as long as they were not dismissed individually on the phone. if they are grouped and you dismiss the group, reply should still work
-Instead of constantly updating the event on the watch removing the actions instead if you attempt to reply to a dead notification a new message will be sent to the watch letting you know. For now all actions will cause this. I will fix this to allow links and other action added by my app to still work shortly.
-Grouped messages will now be broken out and details displayed, which was the main reason for dismissing from phone to force ungrouping
- No replies should get lost without an error and more importantly should never go to the wrong recipient.
- The occasional lockup on some emails should be resolved
- Better whatsapp support
- Pausing notifications when not connected preference. If this preference is selected then when you reconnect your watch it will not get all the notifications it missed when it was disconnected.
- Cleaned up the Dismiss on Watch setting to dismiss all notifications for that notiification group(sender).
- Removed Dismiss on Phone settings as this only leads to dead notifications. I will look at better ways to do this in the future.
Version 1.3 1/9/2015
Bug Fix to remove reply action on dismissed notifications
- Most apps had an issue replying to dismissed notifications. I will be looking to provide better implementation for this in the future, but it's better to remove the action than to have them not work right.
- You will only be able to reply to last notification for a given application and only until the notification is dismissed on the phone.
- Sorry for any inconvenience, but it wasn't reliable the way it was anyway.
Version 1.2 1/1/2015
Significantly improved memory management. App should now have a lower memory footprint, and should have more stable memory usage. Should no longer get out of memory that would stop notifications from sending.
New feature to mute recurring ongoing notifications, such as video/phone calls that run timers. Updates still go, but no sound or vibrate.
New feature to dismiss notifications from phone as they are sent to watch. This will stop most notification groupings, which is what stops us from being able to reply.
Better Icon coloration.
I also switched back to having the title icon on the watch have the icon from the last notification rather than the generic Gear Extender Icon.
What's Coming?
1) Obviously Bug fixes
2) Better formatting with images.
3) Better GMAIL formatting.
4) You tell me what you want.

Official App Now available on Google Play(1.4.9 posting soon, but you guys get to test first if you want), Galaxy Store coming soon:

Thanks. ...

Thank you for your work, looking forward to updates. I have been using Notify Gear, but seems hit or miss. Hoping this works out. Would prefer to stick to the stock notifications on the Gear just with the ability to reply.

Looking forward to checking it out when I get a GS.

i downloaded your app 5 times with different Browsers and with the Phone too, but always i get a parsing failure if i try to install it.

What phone do you have and what version of android are you running? You probably don't have KitKat? I'll look but I think 4.4 is the minimum os version this can support.

Sounds promising, will be interested to see how this develops. Thanks for your efforts so far.

Thank you... So i flash Android 4.4 to my Galaxy S3 and now I install it :good:

Not sure what happened, but when I woke up this morning after installing last night my watch stayed hot and would not function properly at all. Ended up having to restore the watch

Very strange. I can't imagine how it could be related to the app. The app has no watch component, except the stock notifications. The only way I could see that is if the the phone was continually sending notifications.
I've been running on my phone for days.
Out of curiosity do you have "Other" Selected?
Was your phone hot? or irregularly drained?

Wake me up when this is out of Alpha beta and on primetime

Yes exactly, it was extremely hot and battery drained very fast

Ahh the phone did, well at least thats in the realm of possibilty. I havent had this issue. What phone do you have? Can you post a screenshot of your settings screen in the app.

Sorry meant watch is doing on that...

I know everyone has diff experiences, but mine hasn't acted wired in any way. It seems to be working as advertised at present. Just looking forward to it being developed more. I have had apps, not quite sure which one it is yet, that seems to lag and stop my watch from working, I want to say it is one of the news apps. but I ended up having to reset the watch, and uninstalling and re-installing Samsung Gear to get things working again and not restore anything heh.

can work with gear2 .....thanks

No this will not work with the Gear 2. I have a version I am working on for the gear 2, but it is not as far along as this one.
Sorry.

Since Nothing actually installs on the watch for this to work the on;y way this app could affect your watch is if it was just continually sending notifications to the watch, which you would notice.
I'll keep an eye out for possibilities, but I'm thinking some other app is the culprit.

Cannot disable S Planner Notifications!

Am using a UK Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with Kitkat and the latest versions of all system and 3rd party apps.
I have Samsung's S Planner notifications switched OFF.
However, if I create an event with notifications using either Google Calendar and/or my preferred calendar, Business Calendar Pro, S Planner notifications still pop up/sound. IE, I get multiple notifications for the same event - very annoying!
Even if I FORCE STOP S Planner, it re-enables itself after phone sleep or reset and the notifications switch back on!
NOTE: The 'Show Notifications' checkbox in the 'App Info' dialog is ON but greyed out, so cannot be switched OFF.
Is this Samsung trying to force their apps on us or is it a bug?
Many thanks!

Simplest way Open app info for S planner... See if the show notifications is highlighted... If yes then untick the option... It'll never show notifications again till you enable it back again...
Alas, it is greyed out

Not rooted, and yes, I have disabled the app using FORCE STOP. It re-enables itself. That is the problem.
(This problem is recent and since some software upgrades from Samsung, and possibly the Kitkat upgrade of a month or so ago.)

Am sure this is a Samsung issue, but many thanks for your help. I know that under normal circumstances, your tips would work, but there appears to be a major bug in S Planner or their underlying firmware. I have found other references to this problem online going back a few years, so it may be unique to specific combinations of Android version, device, apps etc.
I'll write to Samsung and see how good their tech support is!

Hello,
I've got the same problem since the last Kitkat upgrade one month ago on my Galaxy S4.
I've tried lot of things but the S-Planner notification re-enable themselves after phone sleep or reset.
Did you get a chance to have some more informaiton from Samsung support?
Thanks
I gave up...

...and sold my otherwise excellent (but too large to use one handed) Note 3 and bought a used Moto X, which a) Has no notification issues (in fact, it has the smartest notification system of any phone - Android or iOS) b) Fits in hand nicely. c) Is very well thought out.
Bought a Note 10.1 2014 32GB Black LTE for my stylus work, and it's superb. No notification probs, but then I have not installed any 3rd party calendars, it only has S-Planner on it.
solved
Here is a solution that worked on my Galaxy S3: install system tuner pro, go to system apps and freeze s planner, I did it, rebooted, tested and the obnoxious s planner no longer shows up when a calendar event triggers a notification. Probably you have to be rooted.
I had the same problem on a note 2. In my case, it was solved by opening the s planner apps, going to settings, and disabling notifications there.
Hope this helps.

No, that doesn't fix it as notifications turn themselves back on in S-Planner after a while (not even after an app update).
If you remove all calendars from S-Planner (to remove the stimulus of the notifications) then Google Cal doesn't work, which drives aCalendar+ that is my main calendar app. I only use this because in S-Planner you cannot copy an event, if you could I'd stick with that.
Note 3 on Lollipop.
Just to clarify, I opened the splanner apps and then went to the settings within the app to disable notifications. I didn't go to system settings / apps / splanner / disable notifications (I tried that first, but it didn't work).
Strange that it doesn't work for everyone!

I'm using a Note 4 right now. I see what you mean when it gets greyed but what I also noticed is that if you go to the App Manager, you actually see TWO S Planner's. One of them, which is 32.00KB large, has the options greyed out but if you look at the one that's 0.00B large, it will have those options available. I don't know if it works though. I just tried it now.
EDIT: The app is still in the app drawer. So I guess what I'll do is go to menu/Calendars and just disable my google calendar so it no longer syncs.
EDIT 2: Never mind. Scratch everything what I said. This is ridiculous!
Hi everyone,
longobedience is right, it's actually within the app that we can operate S-Planner notifications.

I am still having this issue as well. It seems to be the only app you can't disable and I am really sick of getting 2 notifications for everything (I use Google calander but keeps syncing to s planner no matter what I do).

Tips and tweaks for running with CM

Thanks to @biktor_gj and his development skills, it all started here, below are the things I've managed to get working either partially or fully. Once a stable CM 13 is released, this post is likely to be updated.
Fully charge your watch first. Things below will take considerable time to configure to your liking; it's better to have enough battery to fully test the configuration.
1. Because CM 12 is a 5.1 build, you'll have to get Play Services from a Lollipop apk (I got mine from apkmirror), and install Gapps (mine is a modular nano; it will take 10-20 minutes). I suggest wiping Dalvik cache from TWRP after installing Gapps - my unit was very unresponsive until I wiped Dalvik and it rebuilt all 98 apps (your app count may vary).
2. Push notifications - get the Desktop Notifications app. Until Bluetooth is working properly, get Desktop Notifications (yes, it's only via WiFi tethering, it's cloud-based, which sucks, I hate it, but oh well). Configure and test it on another Android device first (provided you have one) or a computer, so that you can successfully get notifications to begin with and aren't wasting your time on the tiny 200-dpi Gear S screen. Keep in mind that because it's Wifi-tether, the battery life may suffer. Because I'm still testing various things on and off (primarily with Tasker), I haven't had a chance to test the battery from 100% in a fully-working state.

3. Tasker profiles on the watch; this section is likely to be updated every now and again, as I tweak more and more settings. You have to install Tasker on the watch.
3.1. Watch notifications -> Wake Device and Vibrate.
Get Secure Settings as well as Auto Notification from Play Store, go to Tasker and create a new profile. Profile details/conditions are "Notify" and "Display State Off". "Notify" comes from the Auto Notification module/plugin. Configure -> Action Type = "Created Only"; Persistency = "Non-Persistent", Apps = check "Desktop Notifications". Task would have Vibration and Wake Device (Secure Settings -> Actions -> Wake Device). Vibration duration is whatever you choose; mine is set to 200ms.
3.2. [not ideal but most reliable] Cover to Wake -> upon covering the device light sensor while the screen is off, it wakes the device and briefly lights it up for a couple of seconds so you see the time, etc.
Profile conditions are "Light Level 0 to 1" and "Display State Off". Task is - "Wake Device" from Secure Settings. Configure that as you wish.

Don't we have to have a compatible kernel for that? If so, do you know we actually have it?
No frills Cpu works like a charm, I have been using it since day 1, I test it on every device I get honestly its the best interface with the most compatibility, depending on Your kernal it works on the note 5 lol

Not at all, I apply on boot, games don't play well when it's clocked that low on powersave but it lasts and the more updates the better it gets stability wise, I always thought no frills caused some of the issues. Enable SU in developer settings if you have not

1. For some reason, the shaking profile isn't working as well as I had hoped. I'm looking into either adjusting it further, or incorporating the accelerometer "face-up", proximity or pressure sensing profile, which I'm not entirely sure would work since there may be no sensors for that on Gear S.
Accelerometer isn't that great, either, see below - the watch is on its side, yet the accelerometer says that it's facing up.
2. Tasker light sensor isn't working for me either - with the condition of "Light sensor values 1 through 5 + Display State Off" followed by "Wake Device" task, nothing is happening when I cover the light sensor while the device is off. I'll have to do a bit more digging on how the light sensor is handled in Tasker.
3. Neither proximity nor orientation sensors are being detected by the Sensor Test app. My hopes for the pressure sensor quickly vanished when I discovered that it's not the screen pressure but atmospheric pressure.
4. The light sensor monitoring was off (genius) - got the light sensor to work. Set the profile to "Screen Off + Light Level 0 to 1" -> Wake Device. So far, this seems to be the most reliable waking option. EDIT: unless you're wearing long sleeves, of course. Just can't catch a break with this screen wake.
Are there any other apps that you'd recommend for this watch? I currently use calendar widget: month, and mighty text. I had to change the dpi to get mighty text to scale properly. Coincidentally, changing the dpi also allowed me to use the calculator widget.

I'll be waiting for the CM 13 update. If Bluetooth becomes a reliable tethering option (right now I'm paired to the phone but cannot browse internet) and sensors get a better implementation, I'll think of more things to do. So far the shake sensor presents a concern, as it works on the first try but stops on the third or fourth attempt (the shake movement of the wrist is literally identical).

I recommend either dynamic notifications, or acdisplay for a better lockscreen. You can configure them to turn on the screen for a few seconds when you get notification.
Set their background to pure black for battery savings.
Edit: they're nice but I have to say don't bother with the little ram we have. I feel kitkat rom would've been better to port to Gear S
Edit 2: Install this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.azasoft.free.swapper set it to 120mb. helps with ram.
Also this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chummy.jezebel.blacked.out and apply in themes app. helps with amoled power savings
Not available on "Next" to update the application .apk. This is due to the resolution of 200dpi. Therefore it is necessary to change the settings at 180dpi resolution. But it comes a full restart of the interface. After the installation is restarted again to return 200 dpi. Is it possible to update the application without changing the dpi? I have no established GAPPS for ideological reasons.

There's an experimental lollipop version of app settings xposed module that lets you choose dpi of specific apps. I'll post a link when i can get to a computer. (At work). Then you can set dpi of package installer only
According to the link below, pushbullet allows you to sync notifications between two or more android devices, so this should have the desired feature of receiving notifications from the phone that the Gear S is paired with.

I think it's a paid feature and works through internet though. I actually installed SWAPPLink and it does notification through bluetooth connection (It crashes often, but notifications still work, just hit ok on the crash message and it'll keep working)
Also I got it from the Swapplink Google + community, where he posts beta versions. I don't know when last the play store version has been updated.

Renamed the SWS folder, reinstalled working well.
1 question since the Huawei watch has a native phone ring how do I have your app over ride to the ring I want?
2 question is there a way to have Google Maps read directions from the Watch? ( I know I'm pushing it ) LOL
Great App Thanks!

1: you have to disable native watch ring
2: i'm working on it. If you want to help me, in settings enable "Enable Google map Notifications log", and next time your come back from a drive using map, click on "send Google map log"
First of all, great app !!
Although I have a Gear 2 with custom AW rom (originally it comes with Tizen OS), this app really makes my watch even better than it already is.
One question though :
Where did the option go to automatically read out loud messages (like WhatsApp) when driving ?
I remember seeing that option, but I can't see it anymore
Keep up the good work, this app has a lot of potential.

AMF is conformed of one app installed on mobile phone and the other on PACE/Stratos watch. No need to root / flash custom ROM
The description / links of the watch app can be found here:
http://www.guatedroid.com/amf/about/
The Playstore app for mobile phone can be found here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.guatedroid.amfc
Some features include:
Quick Reply
Emoji Reply
Basic keyboard input
Google Maps Navigation
Vibrate on phone signal loss
clear / dark theme
Translations to: Czech, English, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Spanish

Custom vibration pattern
... and much more.
Hope you like it and find it useful.
Many features are free to use. Some require a small donation to unlock remaining features and help further development.
Hi, can you add notification actions ? ex I have "mark as read" like action when I receive a mail. Just dismiss not mark as read and the phone keep the red number with unread mail in the app icon .

I've been testing this app for about 2 weeks.
The notifications are not displayed in the order you receive them, if you have like 5 messages, you get the last one then scroll to the first, it does not make any sense.
On the watch application the notifications remain on the app, you have to press READ and then clear them all, it must be an option to disable this, because at the end of the day you have like 500 messages there, and that makes the app sluggish.
It reminds me of an notification, but I have that option disabled.
If you get a notification and you get a call, you have to clear the notification to see who is calling you.
This application has a lot of potential. Thanks for your time to develop this, but for me those things made me uninstall the app. I hope you don't misunderstand me.
I will follow this topic and install the newest versions to test them, maybe someday the app will suits me.
I just downloaded the app ... As it was stated before - it have potential, but notifications are not synced when recieved.
I added apps to Approved apps list and still I get vibrated on wild notification.

The sorting order uses the same logic Pebble did on their notification system. That logic says the newest notification should be on top for easy access... (So the oldest is on the bottom).
But as requested there is a new option so users can choose what sorting order they want. If they want the oldest always on top now they can choose.
Also, notifications have a maximum of 120 old ones are automatically deleted from watch. But if you dont want to store at all. There is a new option on AMF phone to disable that.
The updates are going to be released on the following days. Stay tunned.
About the notification thing on a call... Strange... On my stock Pace and a Stock Stratos during testing time all was ok.
Will check that.

Yes I did I stoped recieving wild notifications. The issue is that I recieve the notifications 5 to 10 minutes later.
EDIT:
I found the issue - appearently I have to unlock my phone to recieve notifications. This seems to be related to the wake locks ...
One more issue just found - phone application refuses to connect after certain time.
I like your work, really, even donatetd but I will wait future versions (the current one is unusable for me),

Have seen this issue with some users. The reason is that their phone manages a whitelist of aproved apps that can run on background. If they dont add the app to that whitelist, then the phone force-quit AMF to free ram causing this issues..

HI MF, very nice work but I'm having same issues like when arrives a notification it only shows when i press a button and not right away. When I'm w/ the screen on does not show the notifications (great) but when I turn off the screen and get a notification it shows all of them that happen when the screen was on and I already check that is very annoying.

Question Any easy solution for the aggressive app killing?

So far I love my new Oppo Find N, great Hardware, Google Pay, Banking Apps, it all works. The hardware is so much better than the Fold3 in my opinion. What keeps me up at night is the aggressive app killing in the background that is known for Chinese Firmwares. I know if from Huawei but Oppo seems to be more aggressive. There are a ton of settings but still, some apps won't give me push notifications as soon as the screen goes dark. You can only select 5 apps to lock/to autostart. Does anyone know a solution, an app oder something else to limit these aggressive processes? So far I think this phone is not able to be a daily driver if you need to read E-Mails, Push Notifications ASAP. I hope this will change soon.
In this thread are a couple of solutions
-> https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/google-pay.4382345/
Thank you. The problem is: I already opted out battery optimization and I chose the apps I wanna have notifications to run in foreground but it's only allowed for 5 apps... The rest still no push notifications...
This is why it's a bad idea to buy Chinese rom phones. Wait for it to be released internationally.
Couple of things which seem to improve the issue for me. The first is Auto Start your important apps. The second is for other apps, lock them in the recents tray. For both of the above, for each app, allow 'Background Activity' - you can find this in each apps setting (Apps - App Management). Its not fool-proff but I did notice apps that weren't set to Autostart but where locked in the recents tray did start to give me notifications.
Edit: So just to be super clear, lock 5 apps in your recents tray (5 is the limit). Then autostart 5 other apps (5 is the limit). On top of all of this, for those 10 apps, ensure battery optimisation is off, and background activity is allowed. So far all of the apps that are locked in the recents tray are giving me notifications. Effectively this should give you up to 10 apps you can get notification for.

It has been trial and error since I noticed it switching back so this is what I have working so far and what will go in my next video.
I set the default to google messages
Lock it to the background to run
Set it as one of my auto launch apps
Do all of the same steps as I did in the video I posted.

The issue with this phone is getting notifications for anything beyond 5 third party apps. I'd Love delayed notifications for my apps as at least I get them for ALL apps.
Messaging apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, Viber, Instagram are automatically 'allowed' so maybe that's why it seems it works. For third party apps, you need to allow Auto Launch for 5 apps and then at the very least lock 5 other apps in the recents tray. Following your video alone won't solve the issue as you didn't mention Auto Launch so you won't get notifications at all using your method ( unless it's an Oppo approved app). So for a person starting out from fresh they won't get any notifications, let alone delayed notifications.
Question. The 5 apps that can be set, do they actually work the way they should work?

Where you mention 'auto launch' and locking 5 others in recents tray, I hate to ask but can you explain the steps in doing both of those procedures. I am not sure how to do those two things and would appreciate any guidance please in advance.
That being said, to those who already have their Fold N's, is it worth the hassle of having these issues for the hardware itself. I still am waiting to receive mine and am getting some doubts based on these issues. Thanks in advance!

I personally don't think so. For me, Notification issues isn't the issue, lots of Chinese imports have this issue. The main problem for me is almost all android apps are developed in portrait mode. This device is identified as a device for landscape mode. So many apps just aren't properly optimized for it. So even apps that display properly in terms of it's orientation aren't displaying to it's optimum. You can easily see this when you simply turn the device around. It's clear how the app should actually be displayed. It's actually quite funny .
I keep getting this when I receive a message and it switched from the Google messages to the OPPO messagesI've locked it auto started it and allowed background, etc I also can not send group texts in the OPPO messages app it send the text to each person individually any help is appreciated e
