That good… ..

Good...!
Amazing tool indeed. Hassle free, Simple tool for Desire 816 users......But TWRP reported some problems when i Was installing custom ROMs with Aroma installer, whenever I select fully wipe installation was freezed and restarted the mobile. Thereafter I replaced recovery with CWM and everything seems fine.

Is it possible to add a "Lock bootloader" option?

Hi
Sent you a payment Paypal: ID: 87451971CR623731U
Used your above Toolkit and unlocked my HTC Desire 816, but I have a problem after installing TWRP.
When I went to install the SuperSU phone booted OK int TWRP andI tapped install, scroll down to SuperSU and
tapped same but when I swiped TWRP nothing happened. After a wile of trying TWRP locked and would not
swipe to unlock. It had frozen. Eventually I got back to Android by holding the power button and volume button+ for ages.
Any suggestions how to get Rooted when TWRP will not respond.
Is it possible to install CWM with the Toolkit?

If you're still not rooted, sometimes TWRP will offer the option to install SuperSU on its own. Try it by going into TWRP, then hitting the Reboot button, then System. It should ask if you'd like to install SuperSU. Thanks for the donation!

Hi
Just an update. TWRP still not responding to any input after numerous resets and installs. Have managed to get CWM installed and now rooted and running CM12 nightlys. Think the problem is my 816 and not your toolkit as CM updater script and CyanDelta updates do not work and I have to enter recovery to update nightlys.

Really convenient that it automatically installs ADB drivers if they aren't already on your fresh install of Windows. Thanks for sharing this.

Hey guys, i know this is an old thread. But I have recently got a 2013 xt1058, and Windroid 3.1 (any version actually) just wouldnt flash twrp/cwm into my device. I have tried the default "flash a recovery" option, I have tried flashing recovery though "commands" (2.8.0.1, 2.8.7.0, and cwm 6.57.9). In fact, I have also tried manually fastboot flashing the recovery .img and they all give me the same result. "Success", but when I boot into recovery, it is stock recovery. I am wondering if anyone can point out what I am doing wrong?
EDIT: treid both on 4.4.2 and 4.4.4, same result

Are you rebooting immediately to recovery or going to Android first and then trying to boot to recovery?
IIRC, there's a script in /system/etc/ that will bring back stock recovery so if you go first to Android then TWRP or CWM will be replaced.
after installing / flashing, then reboot and IMMEDIATELY hold down power && Vol- then from the bootloader enter Recovery. the latest TWRP, i think, has a patch to remove this script, but you can also mount /system and use the file manager to verify.

The toolkit definitely supports the Yureka. I wouldn't have posted it here if it didn't.

There is a severe issue of drivers with the yureka device in windows 7, I couldn't get the tool to work with my yureka in windows 7, windows 8 it works flawlessly... but seven has issue with the drivers.
PS : Don't take this personally, I didn't mean to offend you

It appears to be an issue with the .NET Framework. Download and install this patch and see if the toolkit works correctly.

Will this wipe the current ROM back to new installation? I've used WinDroid a few months ago to root my Moto X Style (Pure) and I recall it wiping my ROM to a fresh installation. Just asking because it took me a while to install all of the current Apps and Kodi add-ons.
My main reason for wanting to root is to sideload Greenify and AdAway so that Nvidia TV will run more smoothly. Any ideas?

Yes, unlocking the bootloader, which is required to root, will wipe the ROM.

Is it not just like a factory reset, it will erase all your data so it will be like starting from new again but with a unlocked bootloader.
Thank you for your kit. Please did you ever make a flashing guide as stated in the main thread ?

It should be working fine. The toolkit uses this method to unlock and root, and it's seems people had success with it.

okay I have my bootlader done already, I will run it now for root and report back
---------- Post added at 01:37 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:54 AM ----------
Not sure but it says offline the entire time but if I run adb devices I see the serial number of my shield
---------- Post added at 02:02 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:37 AM ----------
I tried the nvidia drivers and the universal ones. Both work with adb manually but with the tool it will only see my shield in fastboot. The funny thing is I can root it manually if I just had a damn wired mouse hahaha
does this work for anyone?

That's odd. Sometimes when multiple instances of ADB are running the toolkit has a hard time recognizing devices. Go into Task Manager and end any adb.exe or fastboot.exe processes you see running then see if the toolkit will recognize your device.
