Sim adapters - Nexus 6 Accessories

This isn't exactly for the Nexus 6 but since it uses a nano sim I thought i would have to shelve my N5. I got these adapters so I could keep my nexus 5. The nano to micro works well.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G26XWDI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Yeah i bought the same one, was hoping it would be an easy swap. Because i use different phones and this is the first time encountering a nano sim, however i found it a little difficult to swap, first the nano SIM sits very tightly on the adapter, second the adhesives that is used really keeps that Sim in there really tight, i had to use an exacto knife to pry it out , yes it works but i don't know about constantly switching it out between phones every week, kind of bummed because i don't know of another solution, I'm curious you didn't find it difficult to get out of the adapter? Then i thought the adhesive isn't going to last long., I'm hoping to find a better or faster solution ,i also puchased the Note Edge i thought with the adapter kit it would make it easy to switch between the two .but that hasn't been the case for me.

I don't use the adhesive. It's pretty tight so I don't think the sim is going to go anywhere. Been pretty easy to switch the couple of times of done it in testing.

Those are GARBAGE!!! Check these out:

I am not sure if this is the case for the n5 but for the HTC one m8, there are custom Sim trays online that take nano Sim. Its more useful than that adapter.

Bike holder for BS

Hi
Does anyone know if there is someone that makes a bike (handelbars) holder for the Blackstone?
edit
I did find some on with google search, but does anyone have any experience??
yesterday, i have ordered this:
http://www.dantotec.de/shop/Richter...HD-T8282-Blackstone-100-inkl-Halteschale.html
now i have to wait for delivery
Please post your experience when you have tried it.
bike holder
Hi, I am interessted in a solid Bike holder too and was looking for the whole day. I found this in ebay germany, the producer is Haicom, tomorrow I will order.
I want to use it only in landscape mode and for me it looks appropriate for this. The only thing is that I don't trust the connection between the HTC cradle and the Handlebar attachment, so perhaps I have to stick it with instant glue, but all the other holders I saw don't have such big retaining clips in the cradle like this one.

Guys
I'm very interested in this too, looking forward to hearing experiences from you. I need to retire my Ortleib pouch!
my experience so far
The cradle i ordered is a little bit bigger then the touch hd and the connection between handlebar attachment and the cradle is a little bit unsteady like i thought but no problem. I sticked felt pads on it and its very very solid now, also a good method to avoid scratches. I've made a little video that you can see how solid this is now. So I think this is a good one only after you stick those felt pads.
Sweet it looks pretty sturdy.. If you can get it to stay in one place on the handel bars then thats the one for me
handle bars
I've mounted the cradle on my bicycle, it doesn't move from its place.
There is a rubber layer at the attachment.
Today i have received my bike holder (http://www.dantotec.de/shop/Richter...HD-T8282-Blackstone-100-inkl-Halteschale.html)
it looks realy safe (not testet in action)
i have "shaked" the holder with my touch hd over my bed and it dont pull out (i hope you know what i mean ^^)
and the size is very good, not too small and not too big "like a second skin"
in the package you get also 3 rubber for more security...
i think i can recommend this bike holder
i wait for this (cause its not in stock): http://www.dantotec.de/product_sear...417fff&query=HRI01686&x=30&y=17&channel=001_0
this product is recommended from the manufactorer, it should guarantee more stability...
I have combined this:
http://www.amazon.de/Motorradhalterung-für-Lenkstange-inkl-Schwanenhals/dp/B000RGVNK8/ref=pd_cp_ce_2
(I do not have the space for the HD directly over my handle so I needed some distance...)
with that:
http://www.amazon.de/HR-Klemmbacken...=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=ce-de&qid=1274939042&sr=1-3
(Had this one already for my car.)
I did not buy them from amazon (I forgot where I got them), but they are original from HR.
Just an advice: The first time I used my device on the bike, I lost my stylus - it must have gotten loose due to some vibrations, and it was only on a paved bike path, not cross country-like vibrations...
So better remove your stylus or find some way to fix it.
I had the luck that it was on my way to work, and it waited for me to pick it up on my way back not far from my home...
The Whistler
Ebay is perfect for this stuff.

A cradle for a bike with exposed screen like that is asking for trouble. If you go over a bad road or bump etc it can become lose or if you are in a crash there is no protection. I found its safer to get one of them arm band phone protectors and strap it down. seems to work for me

Seems to me that no one sells this bike holder in Netherlands. Here is an ebay seller in Germany, you can order there if you don't mind.

Galaxy S3 microsim Template

I know theres a popular template going around to cut a regular sim and convert it to a microsim....now do I have to get a template for my letter size printer paper so i can print it in A4 size?
$4 buy a sim cutter on ebay. Save urself the hassle
the package will take too long to arrive. do you know of a template thats made for letter sized paper?
I cut my sim to micro sim using these measurements and a ruler: http://walyou.com/how-to-make-a-micro-sim-card-for-your-iphone-4/
Remeber: cut a little bit at the time, it's easier to take off than put back on!
Lol...i cut mine looking at a photo with my pocket knife...shaved the sides til it fit. Not saying do it but im not sure how much margin for error there is as the contact plates are quite large

Here is the template to cut your micro sim: http://www.thechinacellphone.com/micro_sim_template.pdf
The instructions are in the pdf.
Important: Make sure when you print it is 100% or 1:1

Just cut the sim from a bold 9900 to size for an s3 with kitchen shears, worked flawlessly and only took about 5 minutes... if you heave steady hands it fairly easy, no rocket science to this.
A lot of phone shops have a SIM cutter, got mine cut for free, but best to also order one from your carrier as well
cut mine with a pair of scissors.

It's just a normal micro-SIM slot. Ask your carrier for a new SIM card, because maybe the next phone you'll get, doesn't support micro-SIM, but USIM and then you're buggered

Sony Xperia Z3 Dual cases

Hi all,
As we know, the dual sim version of the beloved Z3 has a different sized flap on the left of device (when facing it), as it houses the microsd and microusb.
Has anyone come across cases that are designed for the Dual yet?
thanks
Look for the Ringke Fusion on Amazon or eBay.
They certainly look like they have a bigger cutout indeed.
Do you already have one? How is it?

I've been using Ringke Fusion covers for the past 2 years, Galaxy S4, S5, Lg G3 and now the Z3, all of them are extremely well done, and since the Galaxy S5 they are using an anti-scratch material that simply works as advertised.
IMHO, the best looking cover and more versatile one for our Z3, the clear one let the beauty of the phone shows and they thought of everything, the cutout fits perfectly for the Dual (Although on the Regular Z3 the cutout seems a little weird and can cause you issues if you have OCD, because for obvious reason it doesn't match perfectly the regular flap) and they even thought on all the Magnetic Chargers and adapters out they left the clearance for it.
What case are you use now?

If this was directed to me, I'm using the Ringke Fusion like I mentioned above.
Just got my Ringke Fusions, to be honest, not a huge fan....
they are well constructed, and do seem like high quality, but:
1. I think its a little too thick for my liking
2. back is even more fingerprint magnet than the phone itself.
Anyone seen a thin, plastic back case for a dual?
I have the dual sim and a lot of cases and they all fit ,it has the same dimensions as the regular one .
I have a nillkin case that works great on my dual. All flaps are accessible. However, it doesn't sit well in the dock.

Zaki, yes, you're right, its got the same PHYSICAL dimensions, but the flap for the charger/microsd port is much larger than the standard Z3, which means cases with a cutout for the charger would have to be a larger cutout.
But does it fit with the bigger port/flap

HI sephstyler, did the case fit the dual sim version OK? Were you able to access all the ports ?

absolutely. fit is perfect and have access to microUSB, microSD and magnetic port. The flap for the dual sims on the right is blocked - not a hassle unless you take out your sims daily or whatever.
I had also ordered an imak crystal case.
Perfectly clear, very thin, looks great. fits wonderfully too. Also has a wide cut out for charger and sd flap.
Does seem to scuff fairly easily, so the pristine look wont last terribly long.
SGP might be a solution...

When they released the first pictures the USB cutout was the small one, for the Single SIM Z3, then they delayed the release and when they finally released it all of the covers were with the larger cutout, as if they decided to do just one cover to fit all versions, Single or dual sim ones.
Last week my friend got one of these for his new D6603 and for our surprise it came with the smaller cutout, perfect fit for the D6603, so right now I really don't know the one that they are going to send or if they simply decided to go back to the original smaller cutout design.

Car phone holder for the 20x?

So due to the size, I couldnt find any good phone holder for this phone. Any recommendations would be appreciated
I just use a magnetic one and throw the magnet on the case I use, works a treat, easy on and easy off.

I'm using this one. It works great, never falls off the window and it can even hold a phone larger than the 20 X. It's the best one I've had so far.

I have a CD player that I do not use and I picked this up off of amazon. It fits my smaller iphone and my larger Mate 20x. I switch phones a lot and keep 2 activated so I like having something adjustable.CD Slot Mount, Car Phone Holder
I ordered this vent mount and it works great with room to spare. There is an easy release button as well.

Repurpose for the dual screen case.

I see a lot of the cases ending up on ebay with smashed glass on the front for cheap. I was wondering if any devs out their would be able to point me in the right direction to attempt to use this case on a razpie or a PC. I assumed it was just display port over type C but I put my adapter to change it from M to F and plug it into the case and no joy. I also attempted to use a thunberbolt 4 cable to plug into the internal type c port and plug it into the phone this way. And still it wont turn the screen on. I have no idea what kind of magic they did and why (maybe a non standard port) But I can't get this thing to talk unless directly attached to the phone.
Thanks in advance. Just seems a massive shame for them to end up as E-waste. They are a great looking display.
Maybe some controler chip inside the phone not in the 2nd screen.
Let try to connect to other phone (the unit you know it can share display via typec port) for more information.
Btw i want to buy 1 like that, but ebay do not ship to my country.
Alright its worth a try. My neighbor has an S22. I just think it is strange because even when I used a thunderbolt 4 cable to connect from my phone to the case it still did not work. Only when plugged straight into the case.
Attached is the cables and adapter I used
EDIT: also aliexpress has the cases as well.
EDIT:2 Now I am wondering if the case uses MHL as MHL would also provide power and signal.
Its said that the usb c connector only carries power and that the display is wireless. I dont have any direct information as to the truth of that however.
I wonder

I wonder if that's true. Also the phone must have some kind of magnetic read switch. because I can turn it on away from the case if I put a magnet on the back of it. I sacrificed my beloved case for the cause T_T.
I also discovered if I use a typc c to type a cable usb2, the PC will say the device is a lv600 or whatever the sku for the phone itself is.
So I think without some kind of drivers this wont work. I think I will purchase a driverboard from ali and see if it won't work. So I will have to bypass the CB behind the display and hook it up to the oled directly because this thing has much more then just a screen inside of it it also has the buttons and secondary display. I was hoping windows would ignore all of that and just use display port alt mode over USB.

Has anyone actually gotten one from AliExpress? $30 for a working case with the magnetic adapter included seems to good to be true. AliExpress has good buyer protection, so I was tempted to try it anyway, but I didn't want to wait a month for it to ship just to find out it's a scam.

- Many times bought at Ali. I need to pay instally and waiting they shipping (a month or longer, very long shipping while i live near by China). Some shop is clone, they never send the good. But i can cancel it before shop send the good to transpoter. Can not return if something wrong.
- Bonus: i bought cracked front glass V60 dual case on Ebay from USA Shop for $39. I recieved it after 2 week (through the middle man) really fast. The Shop on Ebay sent me dual screen case with only 2 little crack (still good condition).
- My experience: On Ali only buy from shop is appreciate, don't buy working device, only buy parts as you know China is good place to find parts for repair device.
