Rearth Invisible Defender (screen protector) - Nexus 6 Accessories

Does anybody have any experience with these screen protectors?
http://www.mobilefun.nl/50145-reart...-pack-screenprotector-voor-google-nexus-6.htm
Most important for me is the correct cutout for the front cam and the fit on the edges of the screen.
Sure hope someone can shed a light in this for me.
Thanks!

I used these on my MotoX. My philosophy was buy cheap, high quality screen protectors; if they scratch or get damaged, throw another one on the phone.
I liked these. They kept the glossiness and held up well. Plus, like I said, they are cheap and high quality.

Thanks for the feedback.
All I need now is some confirmation on the front can cutout.

Boxwave vs Brando screen protector

Can anyone who has bought or seen a Boxwave Crystal screen protector on the Touch HD comment on it. It seems like the Brando one is a little too short on the bottom, however, fits perfectly everywhere else. How is the fit of the Boxwave protector? Does it leaves any gaps? Any info would be much appreciated.
haven't bought one yet but from the looks of it, it does seems like it covers the whole screen unlike brando's.
well, the website shows that is covers it perfectly but the orange outline is just computer generated so it's not for sure the actual protector will be perfect...if anyone's actually used one on their Touch HD, please let us know...
i just ordered mine i've been waiting for them to get one. so i'll post back when i receive it.
brando's doesn't have a cut out for the front camera.
boxwave's fits almost perfectly, with a little space around the edges.
i preferred boxwave's.
I bought my screen protector from www.screenguardz.com for my HD. It has the hole for the cameraand fits great. I screwed up the first one I installed, but they I have been using them for sometime now. I've installed their product on all my phones. Just my 2 cents

Well, here's an update. I decided to buy the boxwave CRYSTAL cleartouch screen protector and I think it's perfect. The custom cut is as good as it can get. It has appropriately sized cutouts for both the speaker and camera, and leaves a very slight gap around all of the edges, which is just enough to be able to pull it off if you wanted too. I haven't bought the brando one, but based on pictures, it seems to have a much larger gap on the bottom but is good everywhere else.
As far as quality of the boxwave one, you can't even tell it's on (still looks like glass), is extremely smooth, and has been scratch resistant so far. As others have said, fingerprints are more noticeable on the screen protector vs the actual screen (in general, this is true for the CRYSTAL version of any company's screen protector...the ANTI-GLARE versions are less prone to fingerprints however aren't as smooth and have a hazy look...so it just depends on what you prefer).
Anyway, I know it's only a screen protector, but hopefully this helps any other OCD people out there.
I have the Brando one, and yes it's about 1mm too short at the bottom.
Personally, I don't have a problem with that, as the protection is fine, and the finish (invisible, like glass) and durability (bomb-proof) are frankly perfect.
Haven't seen a Boxwave one, have only seen their anti-glare one, but my guess would be they're on a par. Prolly comes down to what you can get hold of...

anti glare for the screen?

Has anyone bought an anti glare protector for the screen? I know there is a screen protector topic but they were more focus on just protecting the screen and not about anti glare.
acuralegendz said NuShield anti glare protector was only ok. I rather not pay 25 dollars for an average product.
I also saw link to Lexerd - Viewsonic G Tablet TrueVue Anti-Glare but I havnt heard any reviews on it yet.
I just ordered it yesterday from Amazon, as soon as it's in I'll be happy to let you know.

I am going to assume that you are talking about the Lexerd - Viewsonic G Tablet TrueVue Anti-Glare. Can you test it in sunlight and indoor light? Thanks a lot
Yes I am, and yes I will be happy to. I don't think it will be here until the end of the week though so will be a few days.
i just installed this screen protector and I must say that the price is ridiculous for the quality.
It makes the screen quality completely grainy. Maybe I have to let it sit for a few hours.
Nice to the touch, has a mat feel. doesn't seem like it effects the touch sensitivity.
the edges are horrible. I can see it lifted all the way around the entire screen and i have no bubbles or dust around the edges but that will change soon. I just hope that as more dust gets trapped under the lifted edges, it doesn't make it worse over time but we will see.
I'm use to the screen protectors where you apply them on like window tints (Body Guardz brand). Had them on my ZuneHD, Droid1, Doid2. All perfect..Lexerd, not even close.
My opinion is that this screen protector should have been 10 dollars. sucks I got the double pack. sigh.

Thanks for the review stigmax. That sounds horrible even at 10 dollars. FYI there was a one pack of those protectors but little late to tell you that now.
Yea, I knew about the single pack but thought I could save a few bux with the double. After a few hours of use, my eyes got use to the grainy screen
Temp protector I guess, at least I dont have to worry about scratches: )
What I haven't seen elsewhere is that on the "Thank you for purchasing..." sheet that came with the G Tab, it states: "1. The device may come equipped with two anti glare screen protectors over the screen; which should be removed". Huh? Why two? Why remove them. It doesn't make sense. I assume because there is glare, that mine didn't come with them.

Because at some point there were so many returns (at sears and staples) because of claims of a defective screen which later turn to be some air bubbles trapped under the second layer of the screen protector

Anti-Glare
So has anyone found any good Anti-Glare that are not $30? just trying to find a good screen protector and case so I can stand it up and watch movies if need be.
Ever try Photodon?
http://www.photodon.com/p/MXH-5250-01.html seems nice based on their description but wondering if anyone ever tried one.
I ordered this set a couple weeks ago. One is clear and one is anti-glare:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290551331136&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_570wt_1140
They fit the screen perfectly. A little too perfectly actually. It's somewhat difficult to get the protector perfectly straight so that one side or the other doesn't run into the edge of the screen where the edge slightly goes up. I rendered the clear protector relatively useless after attempting to line it up perfectly several times.
Neither of the screen protectors have cut outs for the camera or the light sensor. It doesn't seem to really affect the light sensor, but the anti-glare protector makes the camera pretty much unusable. The camera is fine with the clear protector on.
The reason it makes it unusable is because of how grainy it makes the screen look, and that grain is also visible through the camera. It makes everything blurry. That said, it does a good job of reducing glare as well as a pretty darn good job of cutting down on visible finger prints. I've found that the graininess isn't extremely intrusive for most things. Maybe I've just gotten used to it.
One of the main reasons for purchasing my gTablet was to use it as an eReader for the hundreds of .pdfs I'm required to go through. This is where the grain really becomes troublesome. If it wasn't for the fact that somehow I managed to get the protector on perfectly straight on the first try, I would have already removed it. I'm thinking about ordering another set, cutting out a hole for the camera, and going with the clear protector. I'll make due with some glare here and there and some fingerprints.

I'm curious if you could use a hole puncher to make a hole for the camera? I have not seen this product so I have no idea what it is like or how thick it is but seems like it could be modded with a hole punch if you do the measurements precisely. Anyways, just a thought I had while reading. Thanks for the review.

You know, right before I put mine on, I thought to myself - "Should I run out and get a hole puncher for the camera before I do this? No, it should be fine."
I should have went to get a hole puncher. It would work perfectly.

I bought a matte one and a clear one from Aurum, but fit really well, I think you get get both for under $20. The matte reduces glare and the clear one does not distort the screen. Overall was very happy with the product. The Lexard one and those other "wet" applications ones are a pain in the ass, they also prevent your finger from gliding smoothly on the after application. I got them at Amazon here is the link http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_s...rum+viewsonic&x=0&y=0&sprefix=aurum+viewsonic

Just called NuShield, as their site does not work well with IE9 when placing orders, and was told they are currently NOT selling an "antiglare" sheet for the gTablet. They only have their "DayVue" product, which does not have anti-glare feature.
However, if you contact them, they very likely would consider making an anti-glare version as they already have a template for the gTablet.
[email protected]
I was just looking at their website and it describes the DayVue as anti-reflective. Straight from the website under Viewsonic GTablet.
NuShield DayVue™ antireflective film is the best choice for displays that are being used outdoors. It has good scratch resistance combined with greatly improved daylight readable optics over our antiglare film.
I don't know if they consider anti-glare and anti-reflective to be different, but it seems like the same to me.
ive got an antiglair, it works well and was only 10$ off amazon but if you like using it for videos it kills them, thinking about removing mine but i have a hard time throwing 10$ away

Tempered Glass Screen Protector

What is the best (quality and cost) tempered glass screen protector for the G3? I previously had an M8 and bought my first ever tempered glass screen protector, Zagg Glass. It was fantastic, looked and felt like there was nothing there and the application process took 20 seconds. However, I'm sure there are other ones out there that are just as good quality wise but far less expensive. Thanks.
I use this one myself and like it a lot. Nice fit, ultra thin, rounded edges, crystal clear and a 9 hardness. Very satisfied with this one.
Orzly
Just perfect
I use one by Pthink. 9H hardness, very clear, and very very smooth coating which does not leave fingerprints or oil! very satisfied with this purchase and was around $12 on amazon. I prefer this one due to the cutouts up top.
Can you please use the long thread already dedicated to this tooic instead of making a New one please...

I recommend Bepak H+ have used it on my G3 and HTC M8
My nano.tr was great for about 3 days. Now its coming up in 2 places
I refuse to buy another Spigen Nano t.r after 5 of them with countless issues. Ive had them stop sticking for no reason, crack without ever dropping my phone and the list goes on.
I bought a Mime ghost glass and its a huge improvement. It also only cost 28 with free shipping from their website. Great screen protector especially compared to Spigen.

Any chance you could post a pic, I ordered one and am anxious to see what it looks like exactly.
I use zagg, and it's amazing. I also have the circle wireless case, and the front flap was not affected in any way.
I just got my pThink screen protector in today. It is a perfect fit. Couldn't be happier with the quality and price. I definitely recommend compared to the ones with the big cutout up top...this just has one for the speaker grill and ambient light sensors.

If there were I would assume the same layer/technique would be applied on the original Gorilla Glass screen as well.
Some do claim they repel finger prints, that's usually just marketing BS though

I've been using a Tech Armor glass screen saver for the last few days and it shows fewer fingerprints than the stock screen. It feels smoother than the regular screen which may have something to do with it. It still gets prints, just not as many and they seem to wipe off easier. Very please with it for $10.

The cutout is for the speaker grill and the proximity sensor etc. It does not have an opening for the front facing camera. I've had it for a few days now and LOVE it. The beveled edge is super smooth on the outside edge and the cutout.

I bought the one carried in the VZW stores and it really cut down on the fingerprint / smudges - I could really tell the difference. But that protector was .4mm thickness and touch sensitivity became an issue for me. So I bought the .2mm iCarez protector. The thickness was just right, but the oleophobic properties are not as good as the VZW protector.
As always, YMMV.
Based on the reviews in this thread I ordered the pThink protector (Free Prime 2-Day shipping FTMFW).
I can't say enough good stuff about this screen protector. It is available on Amazon for around $11(with free prime shipping if you have it). There are a variety of good tempered glass screen protectors. Most of them simply notch out the top near where the speaker, light sensor and proximity sensor are located. This one has a perfectly aligned oval shaped cutout giving it a much more OEM looking appearance. Like most, the edges are pleasantly rounded.
The package is straight forward, complete with requisite chinglish on the outside. The package is generic, saying it includes a 'homer(sic) button' cover. Which doesn't make sense, and sure enough it doesn't include. Opening it up, you see all of the included materials. Nothing outstanding here other than the actual instructions seem to be in normal English! I didn't look closely but I didn't see any chinglish.
Installation is a breeze but good prep ensures success. I cleaned the screen extensively to remove all traces of oil and dust. Since I am a chemist I used chloroform to degrease the screen. I also used it to degrease my fingers (not something I recommend but it works). Once the screen was clean, I applied the tempered glass screen protector by VERY VERY VERY gently lowering it by its sides. I can't stress the very gently enough. If you do it gentle enough it will rest just above the surface and you can use your fingernail to maneuver the screen protector into perfect position. Then just touch down on the screen and watch the "bubble" of bonding spread across the screen, it just drives the air out. The rigidity of the screen protector results in a perfect bubble-free finish. I couldn't believe how easy it was. Once the screen protector was on, I wiped it down with the included microfiber cloth.
Initial impressions? Damn! It's truly crystal clear, I can't seem to find any visual distortion. Touch feels slightly changed due to the oleophobic surface but its clearly glass and feels like a touchscreen. There is ZERO effect on the touchscreen performance. Also, the oleophobic surface DRAMATICALLY reduces the amount of smudges, it doesn't prevent them but its a huge reduction. I have a few pics of the package before installation. Once I cleaned the screen, I lost my camera (my phone is the camera so I couldn't use it). The edges of the screen protector are within fractions of a mm of the display edges. This is necessary to make installation a little easier and to prevent bubbles. I truly could NOT be happier!
I'm really happy with a Bepak one. Rounded edges, smooth, and feels really great to touch. No scratches at all till now with some rough usage.
Although reading the reviews about the pThink one, I'm going to give that a try when something happens to the current Bepak one.

Back cover tempered glass protector

When I first got my S8+, I was worried the back glass would scratch easy (turns out I was right ), so I wanted to protect it, even though I knew I would have a case on it. I've seen dirt get between phones and cases before and cause horrible scratches.
I first tried a clear wet application skin from BSE, but I could never make it look right. The midnight black shoes every imperfection and bubble, whereas my wife's Orchid Grey looks perfect with the skin on. You can't tell it's there, even on the sides.
So I began thinking it would be nice if someone made a tempered glass protector for the back. The sides are curved, but so is the screen, and there's plenty of TGSPs on the market. But I couldn't find any.
Then last week I saw one on Amazon. It comes with a full screen TGSP, a TGP for the back, and a TGP for the camera. Link is below.
It appears the back protector is like other TGSPs. It has no glue on the middle, just along the edges. That's not a big deal, as I would apply it like I did my TGSP. I would remove the adhesive strip on the edge and use LOCA to adhere it fully to the phone. Most camera lens TGPs get horrible reviews on Amazon, so it would likely go in the trash.
I'm trying to decide what to do. Here are my pros and cons, but I wanted everyone else's opinion, and also want to know if anyone else has any experience with this set. Again, I'm currently using a TGSP for the screen, so this is a question about the TGP for the BACK.
Pros:
*Protection for the back cover as well as the front.
*Protects from scratches and adds some drop protection
*Protectors are both glass, so it would still feel like a naked device.
*Back protector is Crystal clear, and with LOCA, would show off the beautiful black back glass without any bubbles, glare, etc.
*Glass doesn't get marks and dents like wet application protectors.
Cons:
*It would (probably) be too thick to use a case, so increased chance of damage if dropped.
*These TGSPs typically use cheap oleophobic coatings, so it would still be a fingerprint magnet on the back.
*This would leave a ridge around the screen and the back protector, so it MAY make it uncomfortable to hold.
*No protection for the side frame
*It will scratch (but can always be replaced
*I wish the cutouts were more precise. I'd like three separate cutouts for camera and sensors, not one big one. Would make it more seemless.
Again, looking for other thoughts and opinions and any experience.
No offense, but if all you have to say is that you go naked and have no scratches, or that you don't like screen protectors, then please don't reply. I'm not interested in a screen protector debate. I'm only interested in your opinions about this particular set and using a protector on the back. Also, I know about the liquid nano stuff and have no interest in it. I've seen all the reviews.
Thanks!

I was thinking about the same thing, this post is very helpful.
Mr Orange, I am thinking on the same lines as you were. Did you end up buying the JimBird TGSP? If so, what are your opinions of it and how well did it work for you? It seems like something simple to offer, but so hard to find. Thanks!

Any case that better protect the Camera?

Are there any case in the wild that offers better protection around the camera? Currently using the TPU case that came in the box and while I like it, i am not able to place the phone on a flat surface as I believe the edges of the camera is exposed and would like to keep that from scratches and damages. If anyone has or knows of a case which better protects the camera, I ll be interested.
Thanks in advance.
not yet, got the spigen Rugged Armor, the lens is too flush with the case. a drop on the back and the lens will crack
I was thinking the same thing. The lens sticks out at the back and the case that comes with the phone just sits flush with this. I'm concerned about just lying the phone on to the table with the lens rubbing on something and getting scratched
Interested to see what other people are going with. For now i'm using the in box clear case. Mobilefun seem to be the only place (UK) that have some options. Olixar brand have a few options but without reviews it's hard to tell how they'll fit. I know many case manufactures design cases before phones are released and working from a phone size spec doesn't always result in a good fitting case. Many of the case stock photo's i've seen have a mock P20 pro with a flat camera such as this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Flexible-A...8&qid=1523214240&sr=8-7&keywords=p20+pro+case As previous posts have mentioned ideally I want the case to protect the protruding camera while still be slim.
got the Olixar FlexiShield from amazom too https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07BL27WMJ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
sent it back, a bit better than the huawei case, there is a lip around the camera, but its very minimal, about half millimeter, so as long as you palce the phone on a flat surface you should be ok, but not if dropped and the overall protection is very bad too, screen is pretty much unprotected,
I've got this one arriving tomorrow. From the photos it looks like it should have good camera protection.
I found a few interesting cases on eBay. It'll be a week or two before they arrive. They're cheap and look like they offer better protection for the camera. I'll save spending big bucks for when something reliable shows up

I'd be a bit concerned with that one, the images are clearly mock-ups as they show all 3 cameras flush with the phone's rear which obviously isn't the case with this phone.
It arrived today and protection is good. Great fit, good grip, easy press buttons, good cut outs for speakers etc, nice lip to protect the screen and the rear lens is not quite flush so doesn't touch when placed back down on a table etc.
Bargain for the price and I'm very happy
I just got this case. I think AliExpress selling it for few USD... The camera lens is only slightly lower but will do for the time being while hunting for a better one like uag.

It arrived today and protection is good. Great fit, good grip, easy press buttons, good cut outs for speakers etc, nice lip to protect the screen and the rear lens is not quite flush so doesn't touch when placed back down on a table etc.

Yeh I randomly ordered it as I didn't realise there was going to be a case inside the box. However am glad I did as its pretty sturdy and will absorb some of the impact. Also like how the gaps are not too large against the ports.
Usually i bought Spigen thin fit for all my phones, but, until now, they don't have for p20 pro.
I´m looking for something light and thin.
I bought some tempered glass protectors for the three lenses on aliexpress but they haven't arrived yet. Will post an update after I try them.

I received this one today and tbh it seems pretty good, nice fit and protects the lenses nicely round the back, only negative would be it doesn't have raised sides to protect the screen when face down
Anccer Huawei P20 Pro Case [Serie Matte] Resilient Shock Absorption and Ultra Thin Design Cover (Smooth Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BPGHDJS?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
I'm currently using the case that came with the phone, but I'm after the smart view case (have it on my Mate 10 Pro) and also after a screen protector as unlike the Mate 10 Pro, you don't get one
I received my MOFI hard case and while it fits beautifully , it offers 0 protection for the dual cameras they are flush with the case. i also grabbed the MOFO full screen tempered glass and that also fit great but has left a "oil slick" look to the middle of the screen, i'm hoping this goes away after a few day. But if not i would shy away fro the MOFI stuff. ill post up if the screen spot goes away.
I'm looking for a slim case with holes for a lanyard/wrist cord.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
