[ODIN][TAR][5.0][LEAK] SM-G900P NKD Test Build - Full Restore (Root Details included) - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Android Development

Disclaimer:
This package is for the Sprint Galaxy S5 (SM-G900P) only. Your device, your responsibility - not ours.
Do not flash this if you do not know what you are doing or have any doubts/concerns about doing something unofficial.
This is a test build so understand YMMV and any use of this is at your own risk without official support available.
Credits:

Samsung/Sprint (for hopefully not coming after anyone for this leak!)
This is a test build for the Sprint S5. This will not be the OTA release and may have issues.
Nevertheless... it is Lollipop.
I've tested calls, SMS and other functions and they seem to work.
I have not tested all of the sensors and their functions.
I'm also releasing this as a full restore only so it will wipe data.

Steps to Flash:
1) Place phone in download mode.
2) Open Odin (I tested using 3.04 and 3.07)
3) Extract tar.md5 file and select in PDA slot.
4) Start Flash and wait for process to complete. (You will see 2 reboots in the process)

Root Information & Other Notes
Rooting Information
Thanks to Chainfire's assistance a CF Auto Root package is available for this build.
You can download it by clicking here.
During testing SuperSU did not pick up that it stuck properly initially.
After KNOX started throwing the warnings it finally settled in. So you may need to play with it to get it to work.
This will likely be the case until an official Lollipop build is released so again, you're warned in advance.
Other Notes:
I cannot stress this enough - these sources took a very significant risk in providing this to the public and helping verify it.
And while we're thankful for it, this is the only 5.0 leak I will post prior to an official release.
Let's not get greedy and let's not get these sources in trouble.

Can someone who flashes this please post links to the SystemUI, framework, twframework, settings, contacts and dialer so that I can use them for my theme?
Thanks in Advance

I like to be on the leading edge, bleeding edge I'm a little leery of. Thank you to everyone involved with this. I cannot wait to hear if everything is working, or what is broke, this community is awesome!

Damn, waiting for G900T

@garwynn Any idea on how to deodex Lollipop apk?

Well Sammobile linked you up, so this is going to catch fire pretty quickly in the news as it'll get regurged by Android Central, AP, etc. I hope that doesn't put any pressure on your sources.

Thanks again. Was on ND4 stock, Used odin 3.09 to load this rom. So far so good. Too much white, though. Still testing stuff.

Is there anything of the new Samsung stuff included like theme choser or flow?

theoretically this version should work on international version also... both P &F have the same specs only diference from what is see is GSM bands...

Can someone upload the notocoloremoji font?

Haven't tested and I'm using my last days with my spare S5 to work on AOSP projects using these blobs.

Let's hope. But this is again why I said I won't support another public leak even if a source provides it. It's in the best interest of all involved.

You could get all the tools to extract these from the system.img even on Windows. simg2img is available in a jar executable, 7-zip and DiskInternals Linux Reader to open/pull the files.

Sadly no, and word via sources is that Samsung is clamping down security. The attention this will attract will probably only tighten that grip.

My guess is the rom would work but you would have no data, modems are different.

There are some other h/w differences as we learned during CM bringup.
The ROM itself could probably run on other variants but would have dialer and a few other issues.
Someone may find a way to bring it to the other devices. Where there's a will, there's a way.

You MUST WIPE YOUR DEVICE before flashing this ROM. This is due to the resigning of key components with the AOSP platform key, to facilitate skinning / customising etc.
Features at this time:
Based on the GRI54 (2.3.3) release (crespo merge)
Packaged for ClockworkMod
Rebuilt using the MoDaCo MCR optimisation scripts
MoDaCo Custom Kernel r3 (based on excellent work by Kali / Defer)

HSPA icon differentiation ('H' icon when transferring data via HSPA)
Insecure boot image
su / Superuser.apk root
Support for running scripts from /etc/init.d at startup
Terminfo support (for nano etc)
Busybox 1.18.1
Semi-transparent notification pull-down
STK from Gingerbread AOSP
Optional 'Spare Parts' app
Optional radio updates (latest update recommended!)
Removed Browser zoom buttons
framework-res and core libraries / apks are signed with the 'platform' certificate from AOSP, aiding those who wish to edit the framework-res / SystemUI.apk to theme. Simply extract, edit, resign with the platform certificate and push the file. Tidy.
Optional 'allow SIP over non-WiFi connections' in the kitchen
Reboot app and reboot option on power menu
Pre-patched for lilHermit's Trackball Alert application
Added 'Microbes' wallpaper
A bunch of other stuff that i've forgotten
Installation is recommended via ClockworkMod recovery. ENSURE YOU HAVE A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE FLASHING!

What does being lazy have to do with it? What is the issue with Paul getting a little payback for providing you all with custom ROM after custom ROM...especially considering the ungrateful, hateful attitude that it seems more and more people here are adopting.
Yeah, atleast let the Rom upload first before everyone goes on spewing about how the world is coming to an end now because they can't find the link and the assumption is it's something you have to pay for.
OBSERVATION SKILL, if it say 'UPLOADING' pretty sure it means it's not ready for download yet but then again I could be wrong in the sense that UPLOADING now means, please pay me.
Prebakes now online.
It takes a short while to upload and mirror 4 different versions of the ROM. I think I made it pretty clear they were on the way though what with having written UPLOADING in upper case 4 times.
Be cool.

This firmware:
- Does not include root management (I suggest flashing SuperSU from recovery)
- Installs TWRP as device recovery
- 5.0.x Tested using PA Pico GApps
- 5.1 Tested using BaNkS Gapps via euroskank
or these other minimal GApps (untested)
Known issues:
- No sound during calls until toggle speaker phone
- Time zone bug
Installation notes:
- Do not use Mr.Cook's rom-wipe script; [ here's why ]
- I do NOT recommend dirty-flashing over other i777 firmwares

So what are the bugs in this rom. Is it same as cyandel?
On this firmware, WIFI works, and mobile data works.
I have not been running this firmware long, so I don't know all of the bugs yet. I am still testing the firmware myself.
I will keep the OP updated as I learn more.

Can you shoot videos??
Is sdcard detected?
It looks like there's no multi-user support. Or maybe I'm blind and I just can't find it. The other problem I found is that ES File Explorer doesn't work; it crashes and causes the phone to restart. Updating from the Play store doesn't fix it.
Otherwise, it seems to run alright. Wifi is fine, but I don't have a SIM for it.

I intentionally disabled multiuser support. If that's something that you use, I can enable it.
The stock file browser, and solid Explorer both work well on this firmware. I therefore suspect that ES crashes are an app compatibility issue.
SIM card works, I'm daily driving it right now.
I appreciate the feedback.

Can you give specifics? Just curious as to what you like best about it.
When trying to flash Gapps from here, I keep getting "Error Code: 70". I tried it with both Stock and Micro versions and it sayd "Error executing updater binary in zip". Does this mean it's just a bad zip? Or is there another issue I'm missing?

I like the refreshing nature of the interface. I'm eager to see what the big three add as customization.
This device doesn't handle the animations very well yet though. Maybe device tree refinements will improve it, maybe succeeding versions of Android, or both. Either way, only time will tell.

this is awesome!
i have 2 questions. is it possible to add double tap to wake and long press back to turn screen off to the stock rom. these 2 features are so convenient to use.
thanks
I am on the E bootloader and 95r firmware. If i were to update it would this cause a brick? I am no longer on verizon and E was the best firmware/radio to use (98r). I wanna make sure my system is running up to par with att or is the bootloader the same for all the updates?
@scrosler
Its taking forever to install any System App updates like GMail or Keep for example. All other apps like Whatsapp or Facebook, etc install quickly from the Play Store, been sitting for 30 minutes now trying to get a few apps updated. Playstore gets stuck on installing and after a few minutes it jumps to the next download, which happens quite quickly, but then once again hangs around trying to get the app updated.

That's not how WiFi calling works.
You will see a notifications and its not enabled by default because you need to set an E911 address. Plus, you'll see a notification at the top if it actually worked in this build, which it could possibly but it seems like its not finished yet. This build has Tycho.apk which is also called ProjectFi and requires calling/texting/voicemail/contacts permissions and such. So that's probably at least an early WiFi calling build.

I think the only thing I haven't merged yet is controls for headphone volume boost. Other standard things are already there. Due to the unfortunate fact that we still don't have a custom recovery I haven't touched the ramdisk, so you're just flashing the actual Kernel binary (plus the device tree files that are bundled to it) through the bootloader. It's really straight forward though.
I wouldn't expect any magical battery improvements yet. Although I've made some custom patches to reduce needlessly cpu idle wakeups (don't confuse this with wakelocks, totally different things), and reducing the load average, I doubt there will be any magical enhancements. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if you get 5-10% better screen on time.
Also merged some upstream patches which gave me roughly 5-10% better Geekbench results on both single and multi threaded tests due to lower lock contention & reduced overhead.
Made sure ZRAM was properly set up too, which didn't seem to be the case by looking through the entire Google's device tree.
There's other things on my patches, but nothing groundbreaking.
Everything is in my github too. You know my approach, no bull****, so don't ask me for merge/add retarded crap.
Runs badass! Can't wait for more

I wrote a lot about what I included. I don't usually write feature lists, most of the words are just buzzwords for users to feel amazed but not actually know what they mean, so for a less biased experience I just don't have feature lists.

Awesome!
Ok, I know... I am a newb! But I got a question for you Franco....
When I download the kernel I try to extract it using 7zip and get an error.
Should I not try to extract? What am I doing wrong here? Never had any issue like this before. Used your kernel on lots of devices and this is the first time I got this issue.
Anyone feel free to chime in...

It's not a zip, it's the Kernel binary.
Just seen this came out! Rooted and flashed FK1 Loving it so far Franco can't wait for more features! Any change of getting rid of the screen before the boot logo for it being modified? As always great work Fransisco

The Android subreddit would always rave about your kernel during the Nexus 4 days. Excited to see future development.

The MKDelta is a bit lighter when applied also the lime is slightly different in colour too, because when I took the screenshot in twrp it inverted the colour and I had to recolour those images. I might do more colours in the future, just seeing what following is like first
Just flashed MKNaomi on my Note 9.
Easy to install.
Looks really cool!
Thanks!
Themed and updated twrp bonus all round for me haha
I never even though about something like this being possible, I had pretty much accepted that my eyes had to endure the blinding pain of TWRP whenever I was using it late.
Thank you so much for your work!

Hey!
Nice to see people get interest for N9 twrp!
But yours versions suffered same issue as mine.
Unable to flash zips with script using some executable binaries (getprop, readlink and others) as devbase rom for exemple.
Could you tell me which device tree are you using? Isn't it mine?
Still trying (and hopefully already done) to fix it.

The N9 image was an updated image sent to me and tested by a user, he said it was working fine, can anyone else confirm it is not flashing zips ? the N9 is hard to get updated official twrp at the moment as it is a newer phone. Anyone who has time to flash a file let me know if it works, many thanks in advance

Because I just decompile it, and it's my version. My ubuntu username is inside the props.
Really guy, you have any respects. No search to find the source. And you take all the credit.
As nice as the guy who sended to you my image.

Sorry for the confusion mate. It was me who gave the image of ur twrp build to him. He is my old friend, I know him from s7 edge group. He is an awesome twrp themer. I didn't know he was going to post the image to xda. He thought it was official twrp image. It was my fault. He will surely give u credit for ur twrp please let him use ur twrp image. . ??

Ok, be careful guys!
So continue, and take the latest (r2) which more or less fixed the zip issue.
But check ALL images source please..
Arteush said:
You should check all images you are using. It could be the same for all.
In any case your methods are questionable.
I would gladly have accepted but now I can't trust your ways anymore.

All images are Official apart from N9 which is still in development. I was led to believe the image was someone else's. All my xda thread for other models have had the thread link for N9 removed, all links on telegram channel removed and all AFH files removed. Very sorry for the confusion I will continue when a stable Official version comes out. Here is pics to show all links have been removed and link to AFH to show files are deleted
