REMEMBER TO FLASH A CUSTOM KERNEL AFTER THE ROM (I SUGGEST LIGHTING)
Lighting is already the default one but flashig the official kernel zip a lot of optimization will be installed in addition to UKM
I used slim mini gapp https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=41043
but for the first setup flash pico opengapp to avoid bootloop or other error,then you can flash slim gapp
So, coming from other rom follow this procedure:
boot to recovery
wipe system
wipe data
wipe cache
wipe dalvik
flash rom
flash lighting kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=12509#downloads
flash pico onengapp http://opengapps.org/?api=6.0&variant=pico
reboot and configure your device and google account
reboot in recovery mode and flash slim mini gapp
instead to update the rom
reboot recovery
flash rom
flash lighting kernel
flash slim mini gapp
reboot
I suggest you to change the animation speed into developer option
windows, transition, animator and set it to x0.5

Go to recovery (TWRP). Mount system -> Go to Advanced -> File Manager -> Browse to system/priv-app/SetupWizard and remove setupwizard apk.

Testing in this moment
the main functions are working properly: data,wifi,phone,camera...
- gps icon remains active in status bar even if the function is disabled
- proximity sensor doesn't work but I think I can fix easily
Is the ROM compiled with sabermod and graphite too? Or is it just the kernel?
Also any optimizations flags used?

yes,I use sabermod 4.8 to compile rom part https://github.com/SaberMod/arm-androideabi-4.8

Disabling location reporting was a fix for that on other roms.

This ROM is really smoother compared to the others.
I could also get Google Now Launcher working by using bAnks slim gapps. Only problem I face is dialer FC after call has ended. Contact-fix zip didn't work for me!

If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.

Installs with multirom just fine, however I couldn't get it to boot with the stock kernel and had to flash a custom kernel for it to boot (ak kernel)

Try this. Go to developer options and check use NU player instead of awesome player. If it's checked already try unchecking and playing the videos.

Already did that, also tried disabling av offload with no success. No videos stream in full screen and most don't even stream normally.

Thanks HashBang173! So far everything feels smooth and haven't had any hangups. On an unrelated note, anyone get xposed running? I got the ROM up and running but when I attempt to flash the xposed version I used on the stock ROM, it just sits at the boot screen.

The ROM Android version is currently 5.1.1_r24, meaning you need to flash a newer version of xposed in order for it to work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811 (v75, sdk 22, arm64 should work)

Edit2- When I reboot, I get this on the first unlock. When I first installed the ROM and tried to skip the set up, it would say skipped then reload the first screen of the set up.
It only happens on the first unlock. Not sure if a bug or bad download.

For this error though just realized you might want to do factory reset,wipe cache and wipe dalvik.

Which gapps did you use?
I'm on T-Mobile. I installed the gapps that was the default when I clicked the link. I thought it was set for the correct one

I just tested it. It only takes it out of recents, doesnt kill app. You have to use app manager in settings to kill the app.

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Installation
Requires Unlocked Bootloader & a custom recovery

Bugs added to OP. Same as any other ROM for this device. Home Button press doesn't wake up the device. Fingerprint does wake it up. I think it's not big deal.

Yes it detects fast charging and fast charging works too as the rom is made from official sources and about battery life it depends upon the usage , I play games clash of clans and clash royale and i get 8hr 30min sot in 1 cycle P.s:- By default the kernel is set on performance change it to interactive using kernel auditor. you will get a good battery life

Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, the Rom has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LAOS) we are now LAOS based with some tweaks from AOSP.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or the LAOS team will if it concerns their code base. This rom isn't LAOS supported, so no need to report errors/bugs to them!!

Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm for SDK 25.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. How do I enable software buttons?
A. Settings -> Navigation -> Enable navigation bar. The bar can be configured separately in its settings.
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I keep losing root with Magisk, how do I fix it?
A. Check this out. If that doesn't work for you, ask for help in this thread, read or ask in the Magisk thread on XDA or just re-flash Magisk!
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the root section in the AICP Extras menu.

If the G2 Mini is ur primary device, please, don't become richer, don't buy a newer phone and continue using the same good **** more years. Btw, this phone is still usable in a general way and better than the new Android GO, ****ty and expensive phones, even worse than the g2m with... 4 years in the market?
my whatsapp account not work on this ROM. Stuck on Initiliazing page (after restore message backup). Many times re-install the apps still not work.

Hi, sorry but I've changed my device and don't have anymore any files/links for g2m :/ I'm not sure but I think I was using Magisk version 15.x or first releases of 16.x. Try zip from this link: https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/tag/v15.4
